Fox’s Fake Psychoanalyst Dr. Ablow: Obama Sees America as “Bigger Threat” Than Terrorism

The most unethical ‘psychoanalyst’ in America
Wingnuts • Views: 21,444

Media Matters

It’s deeply unethical for any psychiatrist to express an opinion about a person he hasn’t actually consulted, but that obviously doesn’t matter in the least to Fox News or Dr. Keith Ablow. In this clip from Media Matters, Ablow does it again, expressing his fake opinion that Obama has a “deep-rooted” need to believe the United States is “a bigger threat” than ISIS.

It’s beyond ironic to see these people expressing these deranged opinions, while pretending to judge the President’s sanity.

Ablow’s version of America is indeed a big looming creeping threat… and it’s much closer to us than ISIS

Brian WIlliams had to go to the woodshed for his lies but this guy can spew his fevered brand of psychobabble bs forever?

Why is such hate speech being protected?

4 Great White Snark  Feb 17, 2015 11:04:57am

Wonder what would happen if a credentialed psychologist filed an ethics complaint?

5 Targetpractice  Feb 17, 2015 11:05:12am

Isn’t this the same network that, when it’s not shitting its pants in fear of Daesh, is telling everybody that the greatest threat to America is its government?

6 Romantic Heretic  Feb 17, 2015 11:06:56am

One of the surest signs that a person is seriously mentally ill is the belief that it’s everybody else that is sick.

Dr. Ablow is a fine example of that phenomena.

Because Fox doesn’t give a shit. The other networks actually have standards. Ablow OTOH is encouraged to do this because the high ups at FNC know that the rubes eat this shit up. “Hey if a psychiatrist is saying Obama is worse than ISIS, it’s true libtard.”

“Free Speech Is Not hate Speech I Hate Everything!” Or something like that. Hate fear and loathing brought to you DAILY by people who Really Love America. What a gaggle of maggots.

Hell, I’ve run into enough of these self-appointed dime store psychoanalysts than I care to shake a stick at. Every wingnut with delusions of grandeur feels he knows what goes on in the President’s head and they almost always follow the same script: “He hates America, he loves terrorists, and he’s arrogant.” They change around the language to sound more sophisticated than they really are, but it’s generally always the same line in the end.

10 Backwoods_Sleuth  Feb 17, 2015 11:14:51am

Totally O/T but we just got the greatest news.
Scan results are in and the surgeon says whatever it is in MrBWS’s lung has actually gotten smaller and it doesn’t look like cancer. Surgeon says a biopsy isn’t needed right now. Hubs goes back for another scan in 3 months to check on it again.
Happy dance! YAY!!!

Ablow is clearly a quack though. I think FNC found the most bigoted and deranged psychiatrist they could find and thought it would be good “journalism” to use this guy. Ablow’s yet another chapter in how FNC resembles a propagandist’s dream come true for mind manipulation.

Remember all the analysis of him using “I” in his speech. Seriously. Armchair “psychology” of this president is just pathetic. The worst are yeah the ones that claim that he “rages” against America and is “intentionally” sabotaging it. I guess lower unemployment rates and economic growth is a sure fine way of saying you hate something and higher unemployment and recession is a way of saying you love it if your name is George W. Bush.

Fox News makes me feel like I’m drowning. I despair that people eat this stuff up, digest it and then go about their day regurgitating the poison on others. Their deceit, truth-twisting and omissions of facts are well documented, but still they carry on, and their viewers, undeterred, believe every word. And the sad part is, I think that’s what Fox News wants. They want progressives to despair. They want liberals to feel as if they’re drowning in the relentless deluge of toxic bull crap. They have me right where they want me: feeling helpless in the face of their monstrous lies. At least there are places like this, LGF, where a little illumination scatters their ignorant darkness, and gives me some hope that they won’t win in the end.

Another day, another sign that Boehner has royally screwed the pooch:

The CNN/ORC poll found that 63 percent of Americans disagreed with Boehner’s decision to extend the invitation without consulting the White House, while 33 percent said it was the right thing to do.

Even among Republicans, only a narrow majority supported Boehner’s invitation — 52 percent — while 45 percent did not. Democrats and independents overwhelmingly opposed the invitation: Democrats, 81 percent to 14 percent; independents, 61 percent to 36 percent.

It’s always 33% I notice. A third of this country is downright crazy and unfortunately the reason why we won’t ever again see a LBJ over Goldwater like landslide that will conclusively prove once and for all that Americans don’t want any part of rigid right wing bs.

I hate to say this but that is how I feel when I watch any cable news. I stopped watching MSNBC because it was mostly inane bullshit. All Horse Race; nothing of any substance. CNN, who knows when CNN lost it (the black dude who did the Boston Bombings, the alien abduction theory for the missing Malaysian airliner, etc., ad nauseum) and Fox was never on the radar…I despise liars.

I stopped watching all news (thankfully, Canada still provides real news, so as a news junkie, I still get my fix. The US news is a vacuum, it both sucks and blows).

it just goes to show, just how effective a strategy that buying the media has been for them. They have a hard core group of folks that are so mired in their fear of the other, be they of the wrong pigment, gender, sexual orientation or not worshipping the approved sky buddy that they get their usual pavlovian reaction to any generated stimuli and couple that with a constant drumbeat and narrative that the low information person, who has neither the time nor inclination to know any better gets caught up in the tidal wave of misinformation and sound bites and context twisting that there are so many hired professionals being engaged to perform.

I fear for the day when the tiger that they’re riding turns on them and what that may mean for the rest of us…. we have to do a better job of informing people about a future where this kind of fear stops perpetuating and driving all of our decisions.
