Erick Erickson: Obama’s Policies Are Designed to “Humble the Arrogant Crackers”

Erickson says President Obama wants Iran to have nuclear weapons
Wingnuts • Views: 23,260

Media Matters

It’s really amazing how open the right wing has gotten about their bizarre racist persecution complexes. It’s hard to imagine someone actually believing the whacked out garbage Erick Erickson spouts, but it seems like he does.

The US conservative movement is deeply deranged.

I would think it logical, so it may be that I am incorrect. But the “understanding” demonstrated by many political scientists leads me to think the answer is they didn’t.

For one thing his conjecture depends on a regression in surveillance technology and a dismantling of the institutions of justice and public safety. Exactly the opposite trend from reality. A lot of computer science classes are actually software engineering classes including most undergraduate classes. And most schools don’t even expose students to a lot of real computer science subjects.

I also still think CS is in it’s early, pre-Maxwell Equation, stage, and I still think we’re trying to figure out what Computer Science will ultimately become.

the thing is, programmers are rather practical minded since after all they build things by hand

we had some graduate math teachers teaching computer science classes. they always asked for the proofs. in one class we revolted - “fuck the proofs, just give us the cookbook version so we know how to implement it and get on with the project”
