Folks, we haven’t written about the American Family Association’s resident Old Testament loon Bryan Fischer recently, because he’s like a broken record repeating the same idiotic hate speech over and over.

But today he posted a video that breaks new ground for him. Because in response to a call from a guy named “Jerry,” Fischer went on a rant about abortion in which he called outright for 56 or 57 million Americans to die and blood to run in the streets — to “balance the scales of God’s justice.”

I can’t embed the video, but you can click through if you want to check my transcription. This is absolutely beyond the pale even for the insane Bryan Fischer; he’s openly inciting violence and murder in the name of God, on a massive scale.

Caller: Well, this nation has murdered, what 52 million unborn babies?

Fischer: Yeah, 56 or 57 now, actually.

Caller: OK well then, the scales of justice are at a tremendous imbalance against the entire nation.

Fischer: That is correct.

Caller: And for an unrepentant nation to level the scales, 56 or 57 million lives will have to be shed to level the scales.

Fischer: Well, you know it is interesting that you would say that, Jerry, because that is a Biblical concept. You know, you go back to the Old Testament books and God talks about the fact that the shedding of innocent blood defiles the land. And the only thing that can atone for the shedding of innocent blood is the shedding of blood, there’s no other way to cleanse the land of the pollution of the shedding of that innocent blood.

You know and Abraham Lincoln referred to that in his second inaugural address when he said, “You know in God’s justice it may be that every drop of blood that was drawn by the sword is to repay a drop of blood that was drawn by the lash, that is of the slaveholder.” And he said it may be that this war is going to last until the scales are balanced, until every drop of blood drawn by the lash is repaid by another drawn with the sword.

So I agree with you Jerry, and you know Thomas Jefferson said about God that I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just and his justice cannot sleep forever. And Jefferson was talking about slavery. He was talking about the shedding of innocent blood through human bondage, and that led to the Civil War. Thomas Jefferson could look down the corridor of history and say look, this is coming. It’s got to happen. God’s justice is not gonna overlook this forever.

And I agree with you Jerry, God’s justice cannot overlook the shedding of innocent blood through abortion forever. And what that’s gonna mean, ladies and gentlemen, it’s gonna mean exactly what Jerry’s talking about. It’s going to mean American blood in the streets. There is no other way that this thing can go. That’s what it’s gonna mean. American blood is going to have to be spilled on American soil to serve God’s justice for cleansing the land.
