Chuck C. Johnson Worked for Two Years on Yet Another Massive Fail

“This is how it is done”
Wingnuts • Views: 49,024

A couple of days ago, our stalker pal Chuck C. Johnson started posting a string of clownish boasts about an article he was planning to publish. Chuck hyped this article as a bombshell exposé of a well-known conservative figure, said he’d been working on it for two years, and dropped a series of hints about sexual harassment and grabbing “tits” (Chuck is nothing if not classy).

TAKE NOTE, MEDIA! THIS IS HOW IT IS DONE!

(Rarely have I seen a person with such radically over-inflated self-esteem, yet so little reason for it.)

So anyway, long story short, Chuck’s target this time is Allen West: BREAKING, EXCLUSIVE: Allen West Has Sexually Harassed at Least Two Women - GotNews.

Who knows if there’s any truth to these allegations? It wouldn’t be very surprising, since West has been accused of sexual harassment before; but hey, this is Chuck C. Johnson! And of course, that means it’s based on those anonymous sources for which Chuck has become notorious, and that some observers suspect may exist only in Chuck’s alleged mind.

But shortly after posting this BREAKING EXCLUSIVE BOMBSHELL, Chuck was forced to add his first walk-back, when one of the women he identified as having been groped by West demanded that he correct the record. In typical Chuck fashion, he did this in the most passive aggressive way possible:

West, who was fired from Pajamas Media, grabbed the breast of then 24-year-old, Michelle Fields in front of an elevator while the two of them were colleagues. Fields declined to be interviewed on record but three different sources at PJ Media confirmed this story. (Update: Fields repeatedly and emphatically refused comment on the record and asked that I change her earlier confirmation which I have now done.)

The funniest part of this is that Chuck was immediately, viciously attacked by hordes of angry right wingers who really didn’t cotton to the idea of the Ginger Avenger smearing their idol Allen West, who won the loyalty of the wingnut base by making frequent horrible statements about President Obama. A couple of my favorites:

So far, not a single source in media or blogs has linked approvingly to Chuck’s hit piece. And Chuck seems to dimly realize he screwed this one up, big time; normally he posts at least a dozen links to an article like this on Twitter and rants about it for hours. But this time, he posted just one lonely link — then immediately started tweeting about other subjects.

Can you say “backfire?” TAKE NOTE, MEDIA! THIS IS HOW IT IS DONE!

Afghan court sentences AP journalist’s killer to 20 years

bigstory.ap.org

(snip)

“An award-winning German photographer, Niedringhaus was renowned for her humane depictions of ordinary life as well as for her coverage of conflict zones from the Balkans to Iraq, Libya and Afghanistan. She died instantly of her wounds at the age of 48. Gannon, a senior correspondent for Afghanistan and Pakistan with decades of experience in the region, was hit with six bullets that ripped through her left arm, right hand and left shoulder, shattering her shoulder blade. She is recovering from her injuries while undergoing physical therapy in her native Canada.

“Both Niedringhaus and Gannon have been honored by numerous institutions and organizations. The International Women’s Media Foundation and the Howard G. Buffett Foundation recently created the Anja Niedringhaus Courage in Photojournalism Award in Niedringhaus’s memory. Gannon in December received the Tara Singh Hayer Memorial Award from Canadian Journalists for Free Expression and last month was named winner of the McGill Medal for Journalistic Courage at the University of Georgia.

“It is almost exactly a year since Anja was murdered and Kathy wounded while reporting in the country they both loved,” said Kathleen Carroll, AP’s executive editor. “We are glad the judicial system in Afghanistan has completed the case against their attacker and trust the sentence will be carried out in full. And as the sad anniversary approaches, our thoughts and care are with Anja’s family and with Kathy.”

“Neither Anja nor I believe in the death penalty,” said Gannon on Saturday after learning of the ruling. “I know I speak for Anja, as well as for myself, when I say one crazy gunman neither defines a nation nor a people, and covering Afghanistan and Afghans was a joy for both of us and is what I will return to once the surgeries and healing is completed. I will return for both of us.” More

So two alleged boob grabs equals:

sexually assaulting women for years without punishment

And it has been pointed out that Chuck dismisses sexual assault allegations and demands a court conviction as proof when they are levied against white folks.

There is also the fact that West is black, and Chuck’s obvious prior racism means that right-of-center folks can smack him down for being a racist and then use said smacking as evidence that they themselves are not racist.

Thus UpChuck has actually delivered value to the right in this case, but conservatives are deriving that value in the same manner as liberals: By PWNing an egotistical floor-pooper for having written a pathetic excuse for a hit piece.

I object too, but the State Department seems addicted to the delusion that the Muslim Brotherhood can be negotiated with. They don’t seem to remember the parable of the Scorpion and the Frog: Any country the Brotherhood gains substantial power in is the frog, and the MB is the scorpion. The MB will envenomate any country that tolerates it because that’s its nature. Even worse, refusal to properly support efforts to get rid of the MB and Ansar-al-Sharia have now resulted in the even nastier Daesh (AKA ISIS) having shown up.

MB at least tacitly supports Ansar al-Sharia, who attacked the Consulate in Benghazi.

DAESH got into Libya, largely due tot the Civil War, but also because the MB is incredibly poor at governing. There has been an attack monthly to bi-weekly in MB controlled areas, especially Tripoli, for some time now.

In respect for the group’s wishes I’m using ‘donotlink’ for this NRO article, but if you like it you might want to go to it normally to give Katherine Timpf the click-credit I think she deserves for it:

Stop Defending Phil Robertson — You’re Embarrassing Yourself

Now, before you start composing your hate mail — think about it. Do you really want a dude who is going to publicly ruminate about the gruesome rape, murder, and castration of a man and his “little atheist wife and two little atheist daughters” to be an official face of your #brand?

And he is an official face. He spoke at this year’s CPAC, where he also received a free-speech award named after conservative legend Andrew Breitbart. As for his most recent controversial comments, he made them during a speech at a prayer breakfast, and the very fact that he was given the role of “speaker” suggests that he’s viewed as a model of the Christian faith. He’s an icon — but why?

After all, let’s be honest: His detailed hypothetical about the brutal rape, murder, and castration of an atheist family was disturbing, and his underlying point that only a Christian could understand why these activities were wrong was ignorant. It provided anyone who might accuse Christians of being intolerant with about the best piece of ammo that I can imagine.

So, Team Robertson — when people meet you and you tell them you’re a Christian, are these comments ones that you would want them to ascribe to your belief system? If not, say so! And if yes, well, good luck out there.

This shouldn’t need to be said, but it does and I’m glad it’s being said.

Harper is the new Canadian conservative - religious, anti-science, manipulative and dishonest. His government want to go the way of the US conservatives but is held back by the Canadian traditional position which is usually far more centrist that the US. He’s muzzled our scientists so communication of research into CC/Oil production/economy is biased toward his preconceived ideas.

Harper and his cronies are hard right trying to work in a centrist manner.

In Sask, the Saskatchewan party promised when they first came to power they wouldn’t privatize the crown corporations. They haven’t. However they’ve pulled more funds from them and reduced the number of employees to a point where service sucks. I suspect in the near future they’ll use the diminished capability of our crown corps as an excuse to privatize them.

They have privatized much of the related industries so that it costs the gov’t far more to implement their programs.

From where I sit the comments are more about disagreements regarding religion than about the actual article.

Yes, atheists are evil and Stalin yadda. This is the conversation her reasoned article generated. There are a couple who are seemingly horrified that NR would publish such stuff.

As I said, she was entirely unsuccessful. No one is listening to her far enough to even debate the issue.

87 The War TARDIS  Mar 28, 2015 5:03:08pm

I also found that there was some movement in Libya, in December I think, to go to a Constitutional Monarchy.

It would likely be with the old family, the Senussis.

This actually seems like a reasonable idea for me. The Senussi order was known for its Moderation.

I could deal with them coming back to the throne, if that was in a peace deal.

Of course the cop would say that. Soto had a permit for the tint, and he showed in one of the videos that both his headlights were working.

They had no real reason to stop and detain him. And trying to get him out of the car? For what purpose?

In respect for the group’s wishes I’m using ‘donotlink’ for this NRO article, but if you like it you might want to go to it normally to give Katherine Timpf the click-credit I think she deserves for it:

Stop Defending Phil Robertson — You’re Embarrassing Yourself

This shouldn’t need to be said, but it does and I’m glad it’s being said.

Freepers have responded as they usually do when one of their idols is blasphemed, including this epic derp-turd:

National Review has become a cesspool.
Je suis Phil!

…..and appeals to former prophets and saints:

William F. Buckley Jr. is turning over in his grave thinking of what has become of his once great magazine.

…..true colors on display (what war on women?)

Who / What in the hell is a Katherine Timpf and why should any thinking person give a rats ass what she does, says, writes or thinks ? Iron my shirt Kate an STFU….

and so on. Again, these are not cherry picked and I have left out some especially offensive ones.

Another out of touch limousine conservative. It’s way too late for this. Phil Robertson IS the voice of the right, and it’s publications like National Review that helped make it so.

………

Phil Robertson to Receive Free-Speech Award at CPAC From Citizens United
“…Fourteen months after he sparked a major controversy for making remarks widely perceived as anti-gay, Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson has been named the recipient of a free-speech award from Citizens United, an organization routinely disparaged by Hollywood liberals.

Robertson will receive the “Andrew Breitbart Defender of the First Amendment Award” at this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference, which is better known as CPAC and is one of the biggest annual events for prominent movers and shakers on the right.”

Although Kincannon denied grabbing his wife and threatening her, the deputy called for an EMS unit to check on him because she stated that he had threatened to kill himself. Kincannon was then transported to Lexington Medical Center for “further evaluation” and was later released.

In a statement to the City Paper, Kincannon blamed the blow-up on medication he was taking for an upper respiratory infection, saying it made him “erratic.”

“I’m the kind of guy who never goes to the doctor. I finally went and was prescribed something called Benzonatate for my cough. I’d never taken it before, and took it for the first time last night,” he explained. “Basically, I went completely crazy after taking it. I don’t even remember all of it.”

Pastrami Piled as High as New York, With Prices to Match

Short on dismal news? Have a look at this notice, taped to the counter at the Yankee Tavern on 161st Street in the Bronx.

“Due to the increased price of pastrami,” it began, unpromisingly, “we at the Yankee Tavern apologize for the increase in prices for the pastrami items.”

Pastrami is in crisis.

Semi-amusing first world problem story? Not quite, there is a very serious angle:

What is behind this? “Drought has put cattle inventory at its lowest level in 60 years,” Mr. Morrison said.

That’s Gary Morrison, a beef price analyst at Urner Barry, a food trade publisher. If he doesn’t know, nobody does.

Yeah, I’ve made caramel, and it’s really a game of chicken which is very unpleasant to lose. Butterscotch is much easier and safer. (Same ingredients, really, but you brown the butter instead of the sugar.)

I would bet that both were discovered as a result of kitchen accidents.

“Damn! The sugar melted and turned brown … I wonder how it tastes? … Let’s do it again!”

Todd Kincannon, a Columbia attorney and the former executive director of the S.C. Republican Party, was accused of threatening his wife while refusing to let her out of his car, according to a report from the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.

According to the police report, Kincannon’s wife, Ashely Suzanne Griffith, told a deputy there had been an altercation in a Chick-fil-A parking lot on the drive home. Griffith stated that she asked to get out of their car after her husband began screaming at her, saying she hit him repeatedly as he accelerated when she tried to escape. In her statement, she said Kincannon also threatened to kill himself if she left the vehicle.

In the police report, Griffith states that her husband saw a police vehicle and “freaked out,” saying he would would drive the car into a concrete barrier if the cops became involved.

Think you can’t mix lust, politics, religion and ethnicity on stage? Try this: Steven Leyba, Church of Satan priest with a pentagram carved into his back, bent over in front of city luminaries in 1997 as he was first urinated upon by a woman dressed like Pocahontas - and then sodomized with a whiskey bottle by the same faux Indian princess.

Leyba said his act was a metaphor for how alcohol was forced upon Native Americans. Political consultant Jack Davis, whose pals booked Leyba’s performance as the centerpiece of his 50th birthday party, eventually called it going too “far.” Sheriff Michael Hennessey, among the attending bigwigs who also included District Attorney Terence Hallinan and Board of Supervisors President Barbara Kaufman, called it “disgusting.”

Thank goodness the GOP hasn’t been ignoring the issue and has been investing heavily in irrigation infrastructure and water reclamation/purification projects for the nation.

I mean with all the focus on Keystone pipleline to sell foreign oil to increase the profitability for risky oil speculation, I’m sure all those water projects are just being overshadowed.

In fact, the only time Herzog’s campaign really made an effort to spotlight Israel’s Arab citizens was in a video featuring IDF veterans who served alongside him in the prestigious Unit 8200, which is part of Israel’s vaunted intelligence corps. In the video, the veterans laud Herzog as someone who “understands the Arab mentality” and “has seen Arabs in all kinds of situations,” including “in the crosshairs.”

If West was a white Tea Party darling Chuck would be calling the accusers lying whores, ignoring for a moment that Chuck actually seems to be the one with an adversarial relationship with these women, and is publishing their names despite their denials and refusal to allow him to interview them on the record. That makes his attack on West even more bizarre and obviously racist. There’s no way in hell he would publish the same weak sauce story, with him openly at odds with his own sources, if West was white. What’s going on here is egregious journalistic malpractice.

I’m in a pretty anxious mood right now.

My g-son had a near-death experience last night while on his mountain route with a 2 day trainee onboard, my g-s,on driving. They were on a downgrade on a 2 lane road and he said a car came around a curve about a foot over the double line and he had to move over to avoid it, striking a guardrail against a 150 ft drop down into a river. He over-corrected (he said out of necessity to avoid a plunge, being in a top heavy transit van, and turned the van over. The other vehicle didn’t stop, but another motorist did and he asked them to call for help.

When the fire dept arrived, they helped him right the van and told him they had 4 or 5 of those kinds of things a week on that road. Even the trooper told him it was probably inavoidable, he didn’t feel he was at fault, but gave him a ticket for “driving over the speed limit” but said he could probably have it dismissed. My g-son said he might have been going a little faster than the 35 mph posted because he was going downhill. And he didn’t want to hear me talking about slowing down as much as possible in those conditions, and even if he had, it might not have prevented the other vehicle from crossing the line.

Anyway, he drove the van, which he said had over 400K miles on it, back to his jobsite. He said he was only thinking about the guy who was with him, who had a 3 mo old baby and his own son. Obviously, it affected him very much because he kept talking about the deep gorge they both could have wound up in.

I’ve noticed that even locally people are driving in the worst possible way lately. On just one day last week 3 people pulled out in front of me and just looking away for a couple of seconds might have meant I’d hit them.

My grandson is looking for another job because at $8.50/hr, this one isn’t worth losing your life or anyone else’s.

Greets and saluts from the NYC metro area. So Kincannon is excusing his excremental behavior on cough meds. I have to wonder whether he came up with that excuse after reading the side effects and decided that was his out (mental confusion, hallucinations), rather than the fact that he’s demonstrated thuggish behaviors online.

But those mental health side effects occur in conjunction with other meds.

Psychiatric Effects
Isolated instances of bizarre behavior, including mental confusion and visual hallucinations, have also been reported in patients taking Benzonatate in combination with other prescribed drugs.

If, and this is a big if, this is a medically-induced condition, his doctors need to monitor him closely to see if he’s getting the proper meds/dosages, and adjust as needed.

Sherlock Holmes and Dr Watson went camping. After a good meal and an excellent bottle of wine, they lay down and went to sleep. A couple of hours later, Holmes woke up and nudged his faithful friend. “Watson, Watson,” he said. “Look up at the sky and tell me what you see?”
“I see millions and millions of stars,” replied Watson.
“And what does that tell you?” inquired the master detective.
Watson thought for a moment. “Well, Holmes, astronomically, it tells me that there are millions of galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, I observe that Saturn is in Leo. Horologically, I deduce that the time is approximately two twenty-five. Theologically, I can see that God is all powerful and that we are small and insignificant. 27. Since Heller declared the Second Amendment an individual right, and that the right extends to all “bearable arms,” including those regulated by the NFA, the NFA’s tax is is unconstitutional, just as a poll tax, a tax to exercise one’s religion, or even a tax assessed on printed materials before one could exercise his or her First Amendment rights would be unconstitutional as well.

322 Nyet  Mar 29, 2015 8:55:49am

From MuslimMatters:

Conclusion

In light of all that has preceded, and in this author’s opinion:

- While the Qurʿān explicitly allows us to offer (and therefore sell) 𞉚lāl meat to Jews, most observant Jews would not consider 𞉚lāl to be kosher because the animal would be slaughtered by a non-Jew (and there would be other factors as well).

- All kosher foods are permissible as long as 1) no significant amount of alcohol is present, and 2) any gelatin is from kosher slaughtered cattle or non-animal sources. If alcohol is used either for taste or in intoxicating amounts, the food prepared would be 𞉚rām; and any gelatin derived from animals not slaughtered with tasmiya is also 𞉚rām.

- Kosher meat being 𞉚lāl would depend on which madhhab one follows for the tasmiya: if one follows the opinion that one tasmiya suffices for multiple animals, kosher slaughtered animals would be 𞉚lāl. However, if one requires one tasmiya per animal, then in general such animals would be 𞉚rām unless one can verify that the blessing was said for that particular animal.

In this author’s opinion, since the halakhic blessing is done over a specific group of animals and the slaughter is continuous, this blessing can suffice to fulfill the requirements of the tasmiya for that group of animals, and Allah knows best.

Lastly, it is important that stronger ties be developed between observant Muslims and Jews so that we benefit from each other’s experiences, unite against Islamophobic and anti-Semitic efforts to ban ritual animal slaughter, and perhaps also manage to influence some kosher plants to say a tasmiya for every animal.

Fiorina strikes me as the same kinda ego-centric moron as Trump or Romney: “I’ve made millions driving a company into the ground, so I must known what I’m talking about, even if the only reason I’m not living out of a cardboard box is because I was contractually guaranteed millions in pay and stock options.”

Not sure that she’s that self-aware, though.

“I did nothing wrong!”

I’d wager the vast majority of those who want machine guns are those who think they are Rambo going to overthrow the US.
You know, people who shouldn’t have guns to begin with?

If we define want as desires spoken after a bunch of beers, sure. If we define want as in engage in a regulated process and pay the big money for the gun and accept the oversight that goes with current law, I’d think not.

368 ObserverArt  Mar 29, 2015 10:38:54am

Rand Paul is increasingly becoming way too hard to take.

Actually, do we really know who Rand Paul is? Seems he is becoming more and more empty suit by the day.

The whole damn Republican Party if a pack of ‘punchable’ faces, with excremental thinking.

And they were going to clean up their acts this go-round. Reince Priebus may think he can control this stupidity by cutting out the public display in the debates, but he must not realize the stink can be smelled all over. Phew!

Are you really saying there is an area where this could be allowed???

Does the blue black metal process cause the chemical to leech out and affect gun owners thinking?

Rand Paul is exactly the same anti-federal social conservative his father is. He just isn’t as clever about talking around his “well, it’s perfectly good if the state takes away your rights” ideas.

He can’t duck and weave like Ron Paul, with his tiny self-selecting audience. He’s running for President; he has to kiss all the asses.

This is allowed now, if you mean auto weapons ownership. It’s just very expensive and a bit of paperwork.

Not that any of this matter anyway.
A terrorist could slaughter a hundred kids tomorrow and the response from the gun crowd will be, “Now’s not the time” or “What can you do?”
Then argue for more guns.

Osama Bin Laden didn’t pray enough in school and his mother used birth control and Osama also listened to Marilyn Manson. He also had the media telling him it was okay to be gay.

The foundation, established after the landmark case named for plaintiff Dick Heller that resulted in Supreme Court recognition that the Second Amendment is an individual right, has declared “a ‘no compromise’ stance” for the right to keep and bear arms, asserting “[e]ach able bodied person of sound mind should always have the right to stay and be armed with the weapon of their choosing.”

This is where the wingnuts always fail. Anybody that spends more than five minutes watching one knows they shouldn’t be allowed to play with anything sharper than a rubber ball.
