Rand Paul Walks Out of Interview, Chuck C. Johnson Tweets, “I Wish Rand Paul Would Smack a Bitch”

Rand Paul’s presidential campaign is off to a smashing start! After snapping at reporters in two separate interviews this week, today he walked out on a video interview with the Guardian newspaper.

This story apparently spurred our stalker pal Chuck C. Johnson to come out with one of his smoking hot takes.

Kind of a sad commentary on the state of the christian religion in the US when we legitimately suspect that a publicly devout christian is a racist who is likely to present a deliberately weak case against a white cop who murdered a black man.

If my experience at that age is any indication, empathy isn’t something that comes naturally to someone with Aspergers, but it can be learned as can other social behaviours.

Chuck has decided to give up on being a member of society although he does love society’s money.

The thing about Chuck—and other self-diagnosed angry internet guys—is that the anger and lack of empathy being displayed has nowt to do with the autistic spectrum.

The excuse of “I’m being blunt” or “I’m bad at social cues” doesn’t rate if the former two only crop up when you’re being rude, shitty, and/or enjoying someone’s else’s suffering.

Last week, during a promotional press conference for The History Channel’s upcoming series “First Ladies in Their Own Words,” series’ host Ron Reagan shared clips of his interviews with all living former First Ladies of the United States. In a brief video clip with his mother Nancy Reagan, she offered her endorsement of Hillary Clinton as President saying, “The time for a woman to serve as our President has come - really, now is the time - and I think the idea of having a former First Lady as the leader of the free world is really quite a marvelous notion. I want Hillary to win. Even though I admire two of the current potential Republican nominees, I have no interest in seeing either of them lead this country.”

re: #102 Aunty Entity Dragon

If officers are doing this sort of stuff in plain view of news helicopters, you do have to wonder what the hell they get away with when we aren’t looking…

The ACLU set up a special Inland Empire office simply to deal with San Bernardino County law enforcment complaints.

That is a whole special layer of fail.

It’s almost like the deputies totally and completely didn’t give one fuck that they were being recorded.

FIre all of the deputies involved and put them in prison.

Christie??? But does she consider him a candidate?

Nice line here:

Vincent Harding, secretary of the Travis County Democratic Party, told the committee that it was their job to find solutions to complicated problems, and that law enforcement officers who balk at the idea of being filmed all the time should take a note from Scripture: “To whom much is given, much is required.”

“The decision to go into law enforcement was a voluntary decision that comes with a set of responsibilities,” Harding said. “By contrast, being born a minority in America is not a voluntary decision.”

Regarding the subject of this thread: The Great Rand Paul®

Can you imagine this guy in any tough negotiation? How would he treat any female leaders?

Hell, he is not even smart enough to realize he is opening up with his behavior asking for people to come after him hard. And then he can’t take it. That tells me he isn’t even that sharp about what his actions will say to the majority of sensible America. Again, arrogance.

But damn, I keep having to tailor my estimations how long he is going to last. I was all into him making it to the end of the year. He may not make it ‘til the end of this summer.

But there are those out there saying he stands a chance because he is just so different from the neocons and his stance on individual rights. Wait a few days, all is subject to change.

Rand Rage! The double-edge sword.

Stanford came up with a Troll ID algorithm.

By comparing the messages posted by users who are ultimately banned against messages posted by users who are never banned, Cheng and co discover some clear differences. One measure they use is the readability of posts, as judged by a metric called the Automated Readability Index.

This clearly shows that users who are later banned tend to write poorer quality posts to start off with. And not only that, the quality of their posts decreases with time.

And while communities initially appear forgiving and are therefore slow to ban antisocial users, they become less tolerant over time. “This results in an increased rate at which [posts from antisocial users] are deleted,” they say.

Interestingly, Cheng and co say that the differences between messages posted by people who are later banned and those who are not is so clear that it is relatively straightforward to spot them using a machine learning algorithm. “In fact, we only need to observe five to 10 user posts before a classifier is able to make a reliable prediction,” they boast.
