Even going to Walmart can get weird when you are an end of times Christian Band…

Arizona investigators have released dramatic video of a Walmart parking lot brawl that left a police officer wounded, one man dead, and reportedly involved members of a Christian family band. *

Enoch Gaver, 21, was killed in the fight in the town of Cottonwood, and suspect David Gaver, 28, was shot in the stomach and taken into custody. Police Sergeant Jeremy Daniels was hit in the leg by a bullet fired during the melee.

The police dashcam video, released Friday, shows Cottonwood Police approaching the group of eight people — all identified as members of the Gaver family — around a large SUV in a Walmart parking lot on March 21.

Right now they’re more or less like mainline Protestants with a slight Mormon flavor, though it was not always so.

Notice how they were calling the cops “Nazis”? I’ll bet they’re part of some Mormon Identity thingy, like the Christian Identity bastards, maybe just a little different.

20 Nyet  Apr 11, 2015 11:51:10am

Their rhetoric on the FB page certainly is not in accordance with the current LDS “flavor”. They insist on calling God Yahweh and Elohim. In the modern LDS parlance Yahweh=Jesus, Elohim=God the Father, they’re separate persons. Such division is not evident in their rants, which rather remind one of the so-called Messianic Jews (a Christian sect), with their references to “Yeshuah” (instead of Jesus), “Yerushaliyim” (instead of Jerusalem) and so on. Interestingly, they never seem to mention the LDS Church, the Book of Mormon or other Mormon scriptures (I may have missed the references…).

Could very well be that they were some independent Mormons.

Per a commenter over at Ars Technica: it’s worth noting that it took one of the dumb asses grabbing a cop’s gun and actually shooting him before the cops returned fire.

Theres guys are white. If that had beed a group of black guys, they’d have had SWAT out there and shot everybody on the spot, after someone twitched slightly.

What motivated them to start brawling in the first place? I can’t tell whether they were fighting before the cops showed up, or if they just started fighting the cops.

U.S. Capitol and Visitor’s Center on lockdown after shots fired

wtop.com

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Capitol and the Capitol Visitor Center are on lock-down Saturday after shots were fired.

According to a spokesperson for U.S. Capitol Police, shots were fired on the West Front of the U.S. Capitol Building. The suspected shooter was “neutralized” following a self-inflicted gunshot.

Capitol Police are also investigating a suspicious package on the lower West Terrace of the U.S. Capitol Building. More

Evidently, one or more of them had assaulted a female Walmart employee when she was attempting to enter a bathroom and the cops were called.

Maybe Mommy was in there taking her bath. I suspect they were pests and used the Walmart facilities often.

The new Daredevil series on Netflix is excellent, by the way. The Daredevil film a few years back was really weak - a big disappointment to me because Daredevil was always one of my favorite Marvel characters. But this new series really gets it.

The fight scene at the end of episode 2 was absolutely brilliant. I highly recommend this one if you have Netflix.

That fight on episode 2 reminded me of the hall fight from “Oldboy”

Any fight where a guy gets hit by a flying mini-fridge is OK in my book.

And though I had doubts about Vincent D’onofrio playing Kingpin, after seeing him in action, he nailed it.

These people simply cannot win or get ahead because of their “crimes of poverty” upon which officials prey, resulting in jail, huge fines, court costs, loss of employment, even loss of shelter, etc. It makes it tough to obey the laws upon which your very survival may depend.

A polygraph test is not random, of course, and the probability of correct guesses is somewhat increased when it is used, assuming that no countermeasures were used. Which doesn’t make it acceptable for a use in a court, but may seem to be acceptable for various high-security agencies (anything better than 50/50 can’t hurt, can it?). The problem is, you can’t make people not use the countermeasures. Which calls the usefulness of the procedure into question even in such a context.
