Mendacious Mitt Romney Says Hillary Clinton “Is Not Trustworthy”

Just some more mind-bending hypocrisy from Mitt
Politics • Views: 31,495

The latest attack on Hillary Clinton comes from Mitt Romney, who says “Hillary Clinton is just not trustworthy.”

“You’ve seen in polls and in discussions across the country a feeling that Hillary Clinton is just not trustworthy,” Romney said April 12, 2015. “This whole story about her having erased all of her emails even though they were subject to recall and review by Congress, I think that’s made people remember that with the Clintons, it’s always something.”

This would be hilarious if there were anything remotely funny about such overwhelming hypocrisy, because Mitt Romney is the guy who lied relentlessly in his campaign against Barack Obama; at one point the lying got so blatant that one of his advisers actually stated outright, “We’re not going to let our campaign be dictated by fact checkers.”

Oh, and speaking of lying — if you follow the link above to Politifact, you’ll see that they rated Romney’s statement that Clinton “erased all her emails” as “Mostly False.”

Of course. The fact is that blatant outright lying is pretty much standard practice for the conservative movement these days, from the top on down to the commenters at Breitbart “News.”

Aren’t we still waiting for Bush and Cheney emails that were lost/deleted from the RNC servers? That didn’t seem to be a big fucking deal to them at that time.

That that’s an entitlement. And the government should give it to them. And they will vote for this president no matter what.”

Astonishing arrogance, that the man recorded saying this bs about almost half the country thinks anyone would listen to his other opinions.

All you need to remember about Mitts The Mannequin is he was reduced to telling the American people that his one great political achievement and social accomplishment as Governor of Massachusetts, Romney Care, that insured about 98% of the citizens was a huge failure and that he would undo that. Pandering to the base of ignorance, pleasing his masters and actually saying this stunning morsel of stupidity. Yes. Untrustworthy indeed. He licked the boot of the moneyed and has no stone to cast at anyone.

24 makeitstop  Apr 13, 2015 11:47:18am

Why does anyone (I’m looking at you, media morons) give a flying fuck what Mitt Romney thinks about anything? He’s a one-term governor who’s been out of office for close to a decade and who has lost every other race he’s entered—his opinion is about as worthwhile as day-old poop.

Does anyone remember people hanging on the words of Mike Dukakis or Walter Mondale for years after they lost? Nope—me neither.

Difference is Mondale and Dukakis had what Mitt lacks and that’s humility. You’re absolutely right. These are the words of a one term governor who has lost far more elections than he’s won.

He’s a typical Latino Republican that will get a lot old school Cuban-American votes and now those demographics are slowly changing as well. The largest voting block of Latinos in the USA are Mexican-Americans. Rubio is still Cuban for them and despite what many Americans think there’s no monolithic Latino community other than the largest voting block which is Mexican Americans. Yeah good point about class and race as well. My SiL who is Peruivan, her father is much more light skinned and indeed his maternal grandparents were from Croatia than my SiL’s mother who I think has more indigenous and even some African blood. It’s a complicated region. I believe I read that Argentina and Brazil were in the top ten of places for immigrants to go to after the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia but most non-Hispanics don’t really think about it that much. I wouldn’t say out of bigotry but not really understanding the diversity of South of the border. You also in Mexico anyhow I know have plenty of Hispanics of Arab decent like Salma Hayek and Carlos Slim.

I think Slim’s parents were Romanian immigrant.

It’s part of a stupid passive aggressive game they play. They accuse white liberals of having supported Obama because of “white guilt” which is utterly absurd and then when those same white liberals criticize African-American or in Rubio’s case Latino conservatives, they go “A-ha you liberals are really racist because you’d support Hillary over of so and so.” I can say this with confidence that Marco Rubio wouldn’t have my vote if he came from the same town as me and from a similiar heritage background. Happens in Argentina too. Within Argentina and within those countries like Cuba as well. Afro-Cubans aren’t treated equally within Cuba itself. In Argentina European inhabitants in Buenos Aires tend to be bigoted against the more indigenous Argentinians. I know because, cough my grandfather was a big “Latino” bigot himself. My dad is quite the bigot about Puerto Ricans. He’s kind of short. Has dark brown hair, brown eyes, and semi-tan skin. He also has a thick Spanish accent which comes off as European to many because it’s really Argentinian-Spanish accent. When he got one job in Brooklyn he passed wall as being Italian because we also have Italian lineage. Anyway, when they hired a guy from the Dominican Republic he started talking to him in Spanish. So, one of his co-workers told him, “aha! You’re one of them. From now on we’re going to call you Banana __________ (I won’t put his real first name here.” They still all got along but there was that. My dad still didn’t like Puerto Ricans even though he had to face racial discrimination to a certain extent although lesser because he comes of as being Europeanish. His views are also similar as you mention about Jews. We are after all from Argentina and the stories you hear are generally true. Took me years to get him to change his views about Jews.

I never got over the fact (this was in ‘72) that at 21, after she had delivered 2 babies, she didn’t have any choice in having a tubal ligation. That enraged me, because while they forced her to have one, I couldn’t get one in my early 30s. We discussed the aspect of racism in that practice, also. Approximately 1/3 of PR women, both on the island and immigrants to the US, were sterilized in this program’s 40 yr history.

Oh yeah. The whole Latin American caste system bullshit is horrible. I never really noticed it until I got older, but it’s absolutely there, even now. The lighter your skin, the better. If you’re mestizo or darker in Latin America, you’re on the shit end of the stick most of the time in the way people treat you. The presumption is that darker skinned people are less educated and less intelligent.

You have to go back centuries to the Spanish conquistadors and all the intermarriage with the native populations and the jockeying for status between social classes to really get the depths of how ingrained a lot of it is. It’s awful.

Including Easter PA. Back when we were kids we used to use racial slurs at each other while playing softball. The n-word for us kids though was a big no go zone. Get into fist fights sometimes. Then go back to playing softball.

There was a big conspiracy theory that the mafia killed JFK and RFK The mafia of course is seen as Italian so basically a lot of Americans associated Italians —> Mafia —> Killed JFK and RFK. That created a lot of tension between the WASPs (who came to love JFK) and Italian-Americans.

A motorist died after being shot shortly after his vehicle struck and killed a two-year-old child in Milwaukee, officials said Sunday. A 15-year-old male was also shot in the wake of the collision and later died during surgery.

Milwaukee Police say the child was fatally struck after running into a street on the city’s north side about 3 p.m. local time (4 p.m. ET). The 41-year-old driver remained on the scene and was later shot along with the teen. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and the teen was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead, police told NBC station WTMJ.

No arrests were immediately made.

Remember when Tony Soprano got all his racist on? Well, that still exists in New Jersey. And it’s not just mobsters.

New York, too. I hear things in the course of normal conversation here on Long Island, and I could swear it’s the early Sixties.

Blackwater now calls itself Xe so it’s all good. Oh, wait. They changed their name again to Academi.

The names are getting weirder and weirder.

I wonder how the supporters of these 4 Blackwater thugs rationalize their murders.

If being a policeman means you need lots of training, is highly skilled and is on the front lines of danger, why did they let this fool out with a gun just because he gave some money?

I’ve been wondering why the Sheriff who handed out badges and guns like they were party favors hasn’t had his judgement called into question. How man other unqualified people are there in his jurisdiction with all of the authority and none of the training of actual LEOs?

Because we looked at the regional de jure victories and thought it was enough. That was the easy battle. The long, hard slog is for mens’ minds. That’s bad news for the women and gays, as well.

Eww. I’ve never thought they were a good idea.

Denial. Peer pressure. Wanting to fit in. Being naive in thinking that certain people will do the right thing. Wanting to fit in does strange things to people.

Yeah. I scare people off on Twitter sometimes during my confessionals. I’m still just a pencil pusher though that saves bugs, spiders and mice.

I think getting a former McCain voter to vote for Pres. Obama is a big fucking deal but that’s just me. ;)

A lot of — some — liberals lost their minds after 9/11 and became Diet Neocons. Some became stark raving right-wingers. Getting them back from over the cliff is a worthy cause and worthy accomplishment.
