In Florida’s Lake Mary district today, somebody took a shot at George Zimmerman in what police are calling a road rage incident, but he was not hit.

Police said shots were fired sometime around the 1 p.m. hour along Lake Mary Boulevard, near Rinehart Road.

Lake Mary police said it would give an update at 4 p.m.

Attorney Don West told The Associated Press a bullet missed Zimmerman’s head, and Zimmerman was sprayed with glass from his windshield. Bullet holes were seen in his truck as it was towed away from the scene.

Zimmerman was taken by ambulance with minor injuries to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford. He was released a short time later, according to West, who represented Zimmerman during his 2013 trial in which he was acquitted of murder in the shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin.

You know, I wouldn’t think it would be that hard for someone who was already hated to keep their head down, be polite and courteous and keep themselves out of trouble, but I guess I’m not a woman-beating psycho with anger issues.

It’s all about George Zimmerman, exactly the way he wants it.

Pathetic.

Hmmm…. looks like we may be getting a storm shortly. First measurable rain in weeks in Northern NJ, but still scattered. If we get more than a few minutes of rain, I’d be surprised. Wind’s picked up and got darkish.

No watches/warnings here, though short term forecast issued for points south and east.

It’s going to get to the point where someone is going to see Zimmerman and shoot him on sight.

All the defense attorney would have to do is cite Zimmerman’s history since he got off for the Martin killing. SYG would very much be applicable.

An employee at a nearby business, Kenneth Cornell, said he was exiting his car after lunch when a man drove up and started yelling about the shooting.

The man shouted to Cornell: “I shot George Zimmerman, call 911. I don’t have a phone.”

Cornell said the man didn’t know whether Zimmerman was hurt. He called 911.

According to Cornell, the man told him that he and Zimmerman have had three disputes. This time, Zimmerman waved a gun and the man shot at him, according to Cornell.

Columbus Ohio Breaking Weather.

Weather just got a lot crazy about 15 minutes ago. Everything was fine, it grew dark and then in minutes the winds came in with horizontal rain. And now it seems to have cleared off in my area.

I think north Columbus must have gotten hit harder. The tornando warnings were for around the Morse Road, Rt 161 and the airport area and north. It looks to be headed off to Newark Ohio. Pretty nasty line down south in Circleville Ohio too. Lots of high wind and lightening. No tornadoes thankfully.

And as the storms pass out of the major portion of the city it grows colder and there is hail. Glad I missed that.

Looks like Zimmerman has been stalking Apperson for about eight months. From last September.

Apperson told a 911 dispatcher Tuesday morning that he was driving his Honda Accord on Lake Mary Boulevard, made a U-turn and headed west-bound when a Honda Ridgeline truck pulled alongside and someone inside rolled down his window.

“George Zimmerman was the driver, and they were threatening to kick my ___ and to shoot me,” Apperson told the dispatcher.

Apperson said he pulled into a Circle K to find a phone so he could call for help when the Ridgeline made a maneuver to block him and “almost hit my car.”

Zimmerman “said he was going to shoot me dead,” Apperson told the dispatcher.

According to a police report, a store surveillance video showed that as Apperson was walking into the store, the Ridgeline left.

Two days later, Apperson called Lake Mary police again to report that he believed Zimmerman had followed him and was watching his movements.

Police investigated, found Zimmerman in his Ridgeline nearby, pulled him over and questioned him. He told them he had a doctor’s appointment in a nearby building.

They took a handgun from him but returned it near the end of their eight-minute exchange, according to an officer’s body video camera and patrol car dash camera.

If the police found a gun in Zimmerman’s car in this latest incident it’s hard to see how Apperson isn’t justified under Florida law in taking a shot at him, all things considered. It looks like had every reason to be legitimately afraid for his life.

163 Amory Blaine  May 11, 2015 4:01:31pm

A little background, the Milwaukee County Executive office is where Scott Walker launched his bid for the governors office.

County exec would oversee turnaround of MPS schools in GOP plan

The Milwaukee County executive would oversee the turnover of up to five struggling Milwaukee Public Schools per year to operators of public charter or private voucher schools with better records of success, according to details of a proposal that two suburban Republican lawmakers have been working on for months.

Under the proposal, County Executive Chris Abele would name a commissioner who would have parallel authority to Milwaukee Public Schools but have broad freedom from rules, save for laws regarding health and safety, non-discrimination and special education services, according to the proposal.

Staff at the public schools run by new operators would have to re-apply for their jobs and, if hired, would waive their right to be represented by a union. The plan suggests that staff would not have to have state teaching licenses, but would get a special license to teach in schools under the authority of the commissioner. Staff would have to pass criminal background checks.

Sen. Alberta Darling (R-River Hills) and Rep. Dale Kooyenga (Brookfield) emailed details of their proposal, named the “Opportunity Schools and Partnership Program,” to private and charter school leaders, as well as Milwaukee Public Schools, late last week for feedback.

Chris Abele is not much of a democrat. Certainly no friend of the working man. He ran against a right winger who carried Walkers water after the recall and Walker wasn’t polling well in the city. Also, Milwaukee county is made up of mostly white suburbs. This is not insignificant as Milwaukee is the most racial segregated city in the country. So yeah there are alot of bigots in what I term the “racist ring” that surrounds the city proper. The 2 legislators Darling and Kooyenga aren’t even in Milwaukee county and there is no way to gauge the private schools records because they don’t have to submit to the types of accountability standards that the public schools do. In other words, these fucks don’t give two shits about poor black children in Milwaukee. They are using their rock solid majority to drive the last nail in the union coffin.

Yeah, I sort of got that impression of Abele, being a “businesman/philanthropist” who might take a certain approach to governing the city. But he actually sounds as those he might just be a rubber stamp.

“Under the proposal, County Executive Chris Abele — who was not fully briefed about the plan before details were leaked to the media — would name a commissioner with parallel authority to Milwaukee Public Schools.

“Abele said Monday that he didn’t seek the legislation, but if it passed, he would accept the responsibility.”

Bush made the remark in an interview set to air Monday night, after Fox News host Megyn Kelly asked him if he would have ordered the invasion of Iraq in 2003, “knowing what we know now.”

“I would,” he said. “And so would have Hillary Clinton, just to remind everybody.”

That iron core in the solenoid’s rusted into its cylinder. Still beats the small-block Ford starters that have no solenoid—they just depend on the field buildup to squirt the gear out into the flywheel. Problem is if there’s the tiniest bit of excess resistance anywhere, it’s already spinning when it gets there. The corners of the gear get ground down so it flies off before the engine’s really running. I used to have to replace starters every fucking year.

That’s one of my many pet peeves—they call that starter relay on the inner fender a “solenoid”. Who are they kidding?

My old Fairlane was a real trip—you needed a flex ratchet and two long extensions to get at the top starter bolt, but it was difficult to push hard enough to loosen it because of Ford’s tapered bolt heads that they were going to bring out a special set of sockets for but…they never got around to it.

Yeah, I’ve heard the starter on the 400 isn’t that bad to remove, comparatively. Long extension, a 1/2” socket, a couple of jackstands, and some elbow grease. I just ran out of energy after working all Saturday afternoon in the engine compartment. 208 Shiplord Kirel  May 11, 2015 4:44:07pm

Things are getting freaky, I mean spring 1861 level freaky, here in Texas. Jade Helm is still 2 months away and the conspiracy industry’s seditious insanity is spreading like a contagious disease. It is likely to reach explosive pitch by the time the exercise gets here. This will happen even if Jade Helm is cancelled, since that would simply empower the kooks to settle all their other imaginary grievances.
Texas bristles at Obama’s ‘invasion’
Fears over military training fester in Texas city
Greg Abbott Says He’s Working to Calm Some Texans Upset Over Jade Helm 15 Exercise

I have been talking to local RWNJs recently. They will open up to me because I am a 65 year old white farmer and an obvious native, so they just assume I am one of them. To make a long story short, the grassroots crazy is much, much worse than what you see in even the kookiest corners of the rightwing media. Progressive friends in Lubbock and across the DFW region confirm that this is true in their areas too. It is getting to be like living in an occupied country.

I really think there is a small, but hardly negligible, chance of a Bundy Ranch episode on a gigantic scale, affecting whole cities, counties, and regions. This is especially so in those areas where local law enforcement is in the hands of low IQ fascists who buy into the “sovereign sheriff” nonsense.

Progressive and liberal minded people who live in RWNJ Texas, especially those who have a public profile as such, should make at least preliminary plans to cope with a localized right wing putsch. The most likely threat would come from ad hoc militia gangs and vigilantes, assisted by rogue cops, setting up road blocks or possibly attempting to round up “traitors” and “agents.” I have heard them threaten to do both.

I have talked about the possibility of arming ourselves against this threat and that is still on the table for those who are REALLY sure they know how to handle it. The best course, however, might be to flee to safety. Get a collection of RWNJ bumper stickers to slap on your car, learn a few of their talking points and you should be safe for a short journey. Oklahoma, Arkansas or New Mexico are good choices. Louisiana is iffy because of conspiracist influence there. Oklahoma is at least as RW as Texas, but the locals never miss a chance to stick a finger in Texan eyes, so they would be glad to welcome refugees and gloat over the train wreck in their neighboring state. The Austin and San Antonio areas should also be safe.

It shouldn’t take more than a few days for legitimate authority to be restored in most areas and you can come back then.

Before you decide I have gone completely over the deep end, ask yourselves what would have happened to any liberal politicians or activists who were unlucky enough to be caught inside the Bundy Ranch compound at the time of the confrontation. Remember the media who were assaulted and threatened at the roadblocks?

If I am being an alarmist, well, the RWNJs have millions of alarmists. Why shouldn’t we have them too?
In fact, you can’t preach violence, sedition, and “second amendment solutions” to millions of receptive dupes for years on end and not expect some kind of major explosion when the right match is put to the fuse.
