Sociopaths Salivating Over Adult Dating Site Hack

The worst people on the Internet are having a party
Crime • Views: 54,745

Nearly 4 million people’s very personal information has been exposed to the world, after a hacker broke into the database of Adult FriendFinder in March.

Adult FriendFinder asks customers to detail their interests and, based on those criteria, matches people for sexual encounters. The site, which boasts 64 million members, claims to have “helped millions of people find traditional partners, swinger groups, threesomes, and a variety of other alternative partners.”

The information Adult FriendFinder collects is extremely personal in nature. When signing up for an account, customers must enter their gender, which gender they’re interested in hooking up with and what kind of sexual situations they desire. Suggestions AdultFriendfinder provides for the “tell others about yourself” field include, “I like my partners to tell me what to do in the bedroom,” “I tend to be kinky” and “I’m willing to try some light bondage or blindfolds.”

[…]

Included in the exposed personal information are customers’ email addresses, usernames, passwords, birthdays and zip codes, in addition to their sexual preferences. No credit card data has yet been uncovered as part of the hack.

That data is incredibly revealing and potentially damaging.

Sociopaths all over the Internet are already salivating over this data — including the white supremacist criminal (CNN describes him as “controversial”) known as “weev:”

Andrew Auernheimer, a controversial computer hacker who looked through the files, used Twitter to publicly identify Adult FriendFinder customers, including a Washington police academy commander, an FAA employee, a California state tax worker and a naval intelligence officer who supposedly tried to cheat on his wife.

Asked why he was doing this, Auernheimer said: “I went straight for government employees because they seem the easiest to shame.”

Millions of others remain unnamed for now, but anyone can open the files — which remain freely available online. That could allow anyone to extort Adult FriendFinder customers.

And of course, our sociopathic stalker pal Chuck C. Johnson is ON IT, because he’s utterly obsessed with other people’s sex lives.

So, I’ll say what many of us are actually thinking.

This is probably the first time many of those users actually were screwed via AFF.

Thanks. I’ll be here all weekend.

And of course, Chucky was in the thick of it hoping to dig up dirt. Don’t expect him to find anything that others haven’t already pointed out (that some .gov email addresses and some corporate types were registered - burner emails anyone?!).

I can’t imagine signing up for a site like that with a real name, esp. given the fact that their security was obviously not all that it should have been.

Rules for our time. Everything you put on the internet will be hacked and published. Why even think anything else? Apparently there are no civilian entities that can keep hackers out over time. Not one. Whatever you say or enter in a form, you may was well own it right from the start.

Just wait, Ashley Madison will be up soon. Hacked data, published in the cloud and marital cheaters exposed by the thousands. if you signed up, are you prepared to own it?

Reminds me of the new Halestorm song “Gonna Get Mine”:

Naked pictures on my telephone
All my secrets that you weren’t supposed to know
But I sleep just fine every single night
Cause I got a film tape that you will never find

77 Kragar  May 22, 2015 12:18:29pm

The “Emma Sulkowicz is lying” theory is a straight-up, 9/11 truther-style conspiracy theory. It requires believing not just in a conspiracy but a cover-up, one that involves not just these three women but many others as well, at least a dozen or two. For instance, the anon writer says, “I told a few friends and my boyfriend at the time how creepy and weird it was.” Which means she either colluded with Emma to lie to her friends and boyfriend, or that they are also in on the conspiracy.

Look, no one is saying conspiracies don’t happen. They do, but by their nature, they tend to collapse pretty quickly because keeping everyone in line is really hard to do. People let something slip or someone gets a guilty conscience. What the rape truthers would have you believe is that three women and a number of likely co-conspirators—all college kids, mind you—have colluded not just to create these accusations but to bring them in front of Columbia (successfully, in Anon’s case), stick to the story despite immense amounts of media pressure, and conceal any evidence not just to counter their stories but also that could prove that they knew each other well enough to conspire before the fact.

On the subject of sociopaths and crazy political types, the LaRouchites are back in the news - at least in England and Germany.

This is related to the death of Jeremiah Duggan in March of 2003.

The family of a British student killed in Wiesbaden over 12 years ago made a fresh step towards justice on Thursday, after a London coroner disagreed with German authorities’ belief that he killed himself.

Jeremiah Duggan was 22 when he died after being hit by two cars early on a March morning in 2003.

He had been at a youth event organized by the far-right LaRouche political group in the days before.

For that extra special bit of GOP ratfucking malice, the effective limit is really $20, since ATMs usually only have $20 bills. Combine that with a 1-2 $ transaction fee to get a 5-10% stealth tax on poor people, that goes right into the pockets of the corrupt fat cats that implemented the system.

Of course, for the GOP this reverse Robin Hood act pretty much is the proper function of government.

For the GOP, this is just another step towards zeroing out the social safety net. In their minds, they’re “weening” them off support by slowly closing the tap. This is that “compassionate conservatism” we heard so much about.

The Duggars have made millions of dollars off their TLC deal.

TLC first featured the Duggars in 2004. That was only two years after Josh started his molesting behavior.

If Jim Bob had reported and sought help for Josh when the transgressions occurred, do you think TLC would have given them their own show, and thus millions of dollars?

I don’t want to drag the little girls into the public and that is what makes this issue so uncomfortable for me - victims ought to have their own privacy.

But when I think more and more about what Jim Bob and Michelle have done, or didn’t do, it all seems more and more wrong.

That was my first thought when I heard that they didn’t report it for so long. That TV deal would have been scotched in a New York minute.

That’s one of many, many things that make me want to smash something when I think about it for longer than 5 seconds.

110 Brother Holy Cruise Missile of Mild Acceptance  May 22, 2015 12:55:58pm

Hi Lizards,

Today I had to say goodbye to one of the most awesome cats I have ever owned, my cat Bill. I got him when he was a kitten, barely 6 weeks old. He had eye issues, nose issues and was skin and bones. We nursed him to health from the brink of death three times and for the past 14 years he’s been with me. Those who met him know just how awesome he was.
For the past couple of days he seemed “off” and wasn’t his usual self and last night he was barely able to walk around and had no interest in food or water and couldn’t even purr when I was petting him. I took him to the vet today and it turns out he lost a lot of blood (mainly red blood cells) and his body was shutting down. They offered to do transfusions but all indications were that he most likely had cancer or some other issue that was likely untreatable at his age.
I couldn’t stand to see him suffer and couldn’t afford the transfusions so I held and comforted him as he slipped away. I’ll miss him greatly.

Neighboring states like Missouri and Oklahoma didn’t fare much better. Meanwhile, the highest grades for reproductive rights went to Oregon, Vermont and Maryland.

Complicating matters, three of the four — Louisiana’s Bobby Jindal, Wisconsin’s Scott Walker and Ohio’s John Kasich — have signed the anti-tax pledge heralded by conservative activist Grover Norquist, while New Jersey’s Chris Christie has verbally promised to not raise taxes. That limits their options to address revenues that have fallen short of expectations.

“Post-Tea Party there are new requirements for being a successful candidate if you’re a Republican,” Norquist told TPM. “And that includes reining spending more than some are willing to do.”

Oh, the inside part on Rubio that I missed:

In touting his record as governor, Bush […] mentioned how he vetoed projects sought by Democrats and Republicans.

One of those projects explains why billionaire Norman Braman of Miami loathes Bush, and loves Marco Rubio.

In 2004, Bush vetoed $2 million for the Braman Family Breast Cancer Institute at the University of Miami. “I wasn’t too happy with that veto,” Braman recently told our colleague Patricia Mazzei.

Rubio pushed for the money and secured funding the following year. “Marco,” Bush wrote in an email to a lobbyist, “strongly wanted the Braman Cancer money.

So began the relationship between Rubio and Braman, who has employed Rubio and his wife and now plans to pour millions into a Super PAC supporting Rubio’s presidential campaign.

Who was this person running for Senator? So many people knew.

Since that time the same boy was betrothed again to the same girl. He was working very hard on a campaingn for U.S. Senate for the girls father. The father lost the campaign. He immediately began looking for “sin in the camp”, as that could be the only explanation for the loss. He found that the young man betrothed to his daughter, had committed sexual sins(?) while on the campaign trail. The young man, now 16, was made to stand in fornt of the church and confess his sin. He was then told that the campaign was lost due to his sin.

The premise of conversion therapy is with the proper training, one can be converted from one sexuality to another.

If that is the case, one could therefore be converted from straight to gay using the proper course of treatment.

If the Family Research Council and other really believe in conversion therapy, they should prove that it works each way.

Having time with a long term illness, such as we have here with my sweet spaniel, isn’t much better. I hold my breath every morning when I check on him, preparing myself to find him gone. On his bad days, I think this is it and wonder if I’m allowing unneeded suffering only to see him later wake from a long nap to eat a big dinner and want to go for a walk. It’s kinda crazy making in a way, though all worth it to have have him just a little while longer. Replacing genes in yeast with their human kin - what could possible go wrong (talking bread?)

Anyway, a good example of conservation of gene function in evolution:

Systematic humanization of yeast genes reveals conserved functions and genetic modularity

To determine whether genes retain ancestral functions over a billion years of evolution and to identify principles of deep evolutionary divergence, we replaced 414 essential yeast genes with their human orthologs, assaying for complementation of lethal growth defects upon loss of the yeast genes. Nearly half (47%) of the yeast genes could be successfully humanized. Sequence similarity and expression only partly predicted replaceability. Instead, replaceability depended strongly on gene modules: Genes in the same process tended to be similarly replaceable (e.g., sterol biosynthesis) or not (e.g., DNA replication initiation). Simulations confirmed that selection for specific function can maintain replaceability despite extensive sequence divergence. Critical ancestral functions of many essential genes are thus retained in a pathway-specific manner, resilient to drift in sequences, splicing, and protein interfaces.

A Sun newspaper reporter has been found guilty of receiving story tips from a Heathrow Airport anti-terror officer.

This guy actively bribed an anti-terror security officer, successfully enticed him to violate the integrity of his post and in turn created the potential for blackmail and a larger breach of airport safety. But all Chuck can think of is how clever he was to get information by whatever means imaginable.

Well as someone who has been to Ireland twice and has ancestral connections to the land, I will be really happy because given the Irish people’s own history of being religiously discriminated against, it’s absurd to use religion as a tool to discriminate against gay people. I think ultimately this will be a YES because Ireland has been growing more socially liberal in recent years.

NY Rep. Blasts Black Conservative Sheriff Who Blames ‘Underclass’ Behavior for Police Violence

Jeffries acknowledged that black-on-black crime is a problem, but also underscored that 83 percent of white people are killed by other whites.

“Is white-on-white violence also a problem that we should have a robust discussion about?” Jeffries asked Clarke, who appears frequently on Fox News.
This is right on. Really time and time again I hear from other whites about how “no one is talking about black on black crime” to which I always point out that no one is concerned about “white on white” crime. Sheriff Clarke is a right wing hack.

7 Things People Who Say They’re ‘Fiscally Conservative But Socially Liberal’ Don’t Understand

Aw shoot. I disagree with a lot of that article. Nothing against you at all though!

The title is straight out straw man. And on his first point, I recall two big recessions and two really big recoveries. The recoveries did more to reduce poverty than safety nets or tax policy ever did. The recessions surely did more damage than a unadjusted minimum wage! Unless he defines poor as depending on assistance, but to exclude the underemployed distorts the economic concept of poverty.

Valid on education and infrastructure. Except fiscal conservatism hardly excludes maintenance. Deficit city/state budgets do that.

Why (edit) she thinks a guy like me would be ok with domestic or work abuse is either terribly misinformed or just buying into common insults. How does fiscal conservative make me ok with racist policing? Question for the author, not you.

Is deregulation a policy Gov Jerry Brown has been pushing? Methinks the opposite and you can’t get more fiscal conservative/socially liberal than that guy. In fact just apply the article to him. How does it fit? The writer just hung some valid points about poverty etc on the wrong hook.

I think a definitive definition of fiscal conservative would be helpful.

IMHO, there seems to be a lack of long term thinking. Comprehensive Sex Education in the Public Schools, Cost-free birth control, social services and financial support now, mean less costs for the Judicial system and ultimately the tax payers LATER.

211 Nyet  May 22, 2015 2:35:44pm

I don’t find the “fiscal conservative, social liberal” view appealing, but no, it’s not incoherent. What is meant by social liberalism here is not leftism, it’s specifically about abortion, SSM, basically secularism, plus lack of individual racism. That this view may also lead to greater poverty etc. does not contradict the “social liberal” part.

Hubble Spies Vast Gas Disk around Unique Massive Star

Astronomers using NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope have uncovered surprising new clues about a hefty, rapidly aging star whose behavior has never been seen before in our Milky Way galaxy. In fact, the star is so weird that astronomers have nicknamed it “Nasty 1,” a play on its catalog name of NaSt1. The star may represent a brief transitory stage in the evolution of extremely massive stars.

First discovered several decades ago, Nasty 1 was identified as a Wolf-Rayet star, a rapidly evolving star that is much more massive than our sun. The star loses its hydrogen-filled outer layers quickly, exposing its super-hot and extremely bright helium-burning core.

I do wish that PR writers would stop using the term “burn” when it comes to fusion in stars. I think most laymen will be easily confused with the chemical process of “burning”.

Options are “fuse” or perhaps “consume”, the latter illustrating the problem for stars as they run out of easy material to fuse.

Yeah that’s a fair point. And being in California, your brand of conservatives are definitely different from ours here in Virginia. I agree with you that she could have phrased it differently because it does come off as a cheap shot but as I said, I do have a problem with those who proclaim themselves pro-choice, pro LGBT rights, pro-science, pro-secularism, etc but then consider or give the GOP candidate a vote because “I’m a fiscal conservative.” The thing that bugs me is the assumption that “fiscal liberals” like me like taxes. I’m really thrilled I don’t have to hear the ins and outs of the state of police vehicles and missing road signs. I don’t find this type of information interesting at all.

Yes, indeed. The most obnoxious are the TCOT types on Twitter who whine about how their tax monies are going to poor people, or others they deem unworthy. In a free society, you don’t get to pick and choose where your taxes go. I mean what would these conservatives who have never met a defense budget increase they didn’t like if doves mostly on the left political persuasion went “Well I’m never going to use these nukes so I should haven’t to pay taxes that go to defense.” It doesn’t work like that.

I curse the shit out of everything when it is tax time and I am trying to figure out what the bill is, but I also know that while yeah, it would be great to have that money back …that’s not how government works, that’s not how society works, and if I feel strongly that these things are important (which I do) then this is putting my money where my mouth is. Please check this short video out, just saw on their FB page.

IDignity is the organization my brother works for & my mother volunteers for. It is a model org, and hoping to expand to other cities. Without an id, you do not exist.

Last time I visited they had their event & I went. There were so many volunteers & so many people in line. Many of these people have benefits sitting in bank accounts that they cannot access due to losing their id, then not having the birth cert etc., to get it replaced.

Quite a kickoff to the holiday weekend: my car got rear ended about a half mile from home. I got hit pretty hard, but decided to drive away having collected the other driver’s data. Unfortunately it turned out that the insurance policy number he gave me had expired.

At that point I went right to the police and miraculously they were able to get him to confess on the phone. Fortunately, my insurance covers uninsured motorists…minus a $500 deductible, of course. They are also making no promises how this affects my future premiums, even confirming this was in no way at all my fault.

Oh well, I am in one piece and my car is probably going to survive. I got hired for some online editing work today, so I’ll be able to manage the deductible without any problem at all.

I am always looking for distraction from my recent medical diagnosis, but this is not what I had in mind.

Wow. So sorry!

If your insurance company dings you for the accident, change carriers. None of the good ones do these days.

For the deductible negotiate with the body shop. They will likely cut it in half.

I, unfortunately, speak from experience. Except I carry a far higher deductible because 1) I rarely drive, and 2) I am Rainman (I’m a good driver, yeah, a good driver).

Good luck.

Mrs Cranky’s gardens are one of the joys of Spring. They are waking up and starting the yearly show. She has the gardens planned such that there are always things in bloom, color coordinated with other parts of the yard. So the yard looks different almost every day, with changing colors and different types of blossoms.

These were taken with a cell phone, so I apologize for the quality. Just wanted to share a few of the early sights.

Technical term for that brain injury is “Coup-Contrecoup Injury” because the brain smacks one side of the inner skull and then hits the opposite side.

Of course. I am just saying from an insurance company’s perspective.

I was working for a major insurance company and they gave ME shit when I got whiplash after being rear-ended (with about $6k in damage)…not to mention the pain from the seatbelt strangling me. Luckily, a neckbrace for a couple of weeks and I was just fine. But that tip came from one of the loss people, who was a friend of mine.

Your company was negligent toward you. If you had neck pain, regardless of their uneducated opinion, you should have gone to the ER for an x-ray. When I was in a similar accident and was taken to the ER on a board, I told them I didn’t think I was that hurt, and the nurse said, You’d be surprised at how many people come in here with a broken neck and don’t know it. I don’t know if she was trying to scare me, but ins took care of the bill, at any rate.

I don’t think when you’re jostled around in an auto accident that you should take too many chances, though. Just because you’re not bleeding doesn’t mean you haven’t been injured in some other way.

That means I can stop now, right?

I never get past the “thinking about thinking about starting a cleaning chore” stage myself.

For our guidance in fulfilling this responsibility, President Eisenhower has given us a statement of principles that is neither partisan nor prejudiced, but warmly American:

The individual is of supreme importance.

The spirit of our people is the strength of our nation.

America does not prosper unless all Americans prosper.

Government must have a heart as well as a head.

Courage in principle, cooperation in practice make freedom positive.

To stay free, we must stay strong.

What party was this again?

Most of the progress made by political conservatives was when made when they didn’t act like political conservatives i.e. Reagan not listening to the idiots who acted like engagement with any Soviet leader was awful or Eisenhower supporting the federal highway system.

I guess it depends on what you consider positive. The sociopaths that are on the right, world wide, are thrilled with poor people starving, cutting off funds and access to doctors, austerity that hurts real, live people (if I hear the term “correction” one more time I may have to shoot someone).

This blogger is giving Josh no room:

Josh Duggar says he’s sorry. So what?

[…]

Josh doesn’t want you talking about his victims, he doesn’t want you focusing on the five prepubescent children he molested. No, he wants you to talk about how sorry he is.

Don’t let him change the focus. Josh Duggar’s apology is not the story. Josh can apologize until he’s blue in the face, but that’s never going to undo the trauma that he put his victims through.

Josh, and Jim Bob and Michelle alongside him, have shifted the burden onto the victims, painting Josh as a child who made mistakes, apologized and should be forgiven. They’ve tried to shift the narrative so that it’s just a short hop to viewing Josh as the victim.

This isn’t penitence, it’s not repentance, it’s what child molesters do. Rewrite the narrative so that in the end the audience feels sorry for them and forgets about their victims.

[…]

Worse, with the statement they released, they’ve now framed the story so that the victims cannot come forward, if they choose to do so, without being painted as “unforgiving” and choosing to “ruin his life” even though he said he was sorry.

It’s a statement designed to silence the victims.

[…]

It should also be noted that child abuse is learned behavior…Josh was taught that this was something he could do, and get away with.
