Mike Huckabee Says He Wishes He Could’ve Been Transgender in High School So He Could Shower With Girls

Incredibly creepy
Politics • Views: 25,376

If you watch the video below, you’ll see that GOP presidential candidate Mike Huckabee actually thinks this bizarre remark is funny, instead of desperately weird.

If he “could have felt like a woman,” the Republican former Arkansas governor joked earlier this year, then he could have seen his female classmates without their clothes on.

“Now I wish that someone told me that when I was in high school that I could have felt like a woman when it came time to take showers in PE,” Huckabee said.

“I’m pretty sure that I would have found my feminine side and said, ‘Coach, I think I’d rather shower with the girls today.’ You’re laughing because it sounds so ridiculous doesn’t it?”

“Ridiculous?” I was thinking more like, incredibly creepy.

Mike Huckabee is what Josh Duggar would have become if his crimes hadn’t been exposed.

Yeah, they tend to stop by you turn 18 though. He really is a dick and it’s not fucking funny either given that transgendered people are far likely to be sexually harassed and assaulted than commit the act.

Heh to be fair it’s probably older than South Park since I remember a really bad movie from the early 2000’s where the protagonist pretends to be a girl to get close to a girl he likes.

The Duggar meme-stream is now being, or is attempted to be, turned back on investigators, claiming the real issue is how Josh Duggar’s police report got “leaked”.

So that will be the real “news” here - how a police report got “leaked”, not the badness of the Duggars.

Anything to distract from the simple fact that extreme religious fundamentalism is a big part of the problem in situations like the Duggar case.

About that one step forward, we may have one big FBI step backwards…

My most serious objections in bold.

one step forward and one backward

WASHINGTON (AP) — The FBI is operating a small air force with scores of low-flying planes across the U.S. carrying video and, at times, cellphone surveillance technology — all hidden behind fictitious companies that are fronts for the government, The Associated Press has learned.

The planes’ surveillance equipment is generally used without a judge’s approval, and the FBI said the flights are used for specific, ongoing investigations. In a recent 30-day period, the agency flew above more than 30 cities in 11 states across the country, an AP review found.

For once Rand Paul is being consistent. All things done by the government are bad, but the exact same things done by private entities magically become good, because Free Market Unicorn farts are a universal blessing.

I wonder if this ‘logic’ would let libertarians approve of torture, provided the torturer were a private entity?

A person who is trans isn’t playing dress up. They’re not trying to “sneak a peak” at the opposite sex and they’re not choosing to do it one day and then skipping it the next. They have made a choice about their identity and are attempting to live their life according to that choice. That conservatives would mock and demonize people willing to make that commitment tells you how morally bankrupt conservatives are and how little they actually care about personal liberties or freedoms.

They actively attempt to strip away the identity of people, forcing them to live by their whackjob ideology, while claiming they’re the victims when called out for it. They have the audacity to say “We will call you what we want to call you” then react with outrage when you point out how hypocritical it is that they call themselves “Good Christians”.

These people are petty, ignorant scum, who must be stood up to at every turn, and made to realize that beliefs have no place in a free society.

When? I think they are at that point now.

And yes, I am serious.

Merriam-Webster entry - Fascism

Full Definition of FASCISM

1
often capitalized : a political philosophy, movement, or regime (as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, severe economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition
2
: a tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control <early instances of army fascism and brutality — J. W. Aldridge>

The only thing we don’t have that matches the definition totally is the dictator. However, I think a dictator isn’t necessary when a party can sway enough people to follow their dictates and wants to go down that road no matter the leadership.

What I don’t understand heh is how the fantasy is supposed to work. Okay, so you pretend to be transgendered and then what. No one likes being starred down at in the shower. A more “realistic” fantasy for Huck would be for him to be “caught” wearing his wife’s brassiere and then she’d make sweet, lesbian but not real lesbian love to him. And yes I’m being intentionally over the top because that’s exactly what Huckabee is doing by claiming that people just claim to be transgendered so they can harass the opposite sex in the bathroom. If Huckabee had any sense of integrity maybe he’d try talking to transgendered folks and realize that they’re simply people who felt they were born in the wrong body. re: #50 ObserverArt

On this subject, Umberto Eco’s “Ur-Fascism” is as relevant as ever. The definition given in that paper can be found here. publiceye.org

Some parts of this definition are reproduced below, their relevance to the GOP being self-evident.

5. Besides, disagreement is a sign of diversity.
Ur-Fascism grows up and seeks consensus by exploiting and exacerbating the natural fear of difference. The first appeal of a fascist or prematurely fascist movement is an appeal against the intruders. Thus Ur-Fascism is racist by definition.

6. Ur-Fascism derives from individual or social frustration.
That is why one of the most typical features of the historical fascism was the appeal to a frustrated middle class, a class suffering from an economic crisis or feelings of political humiliation, and frightened by the pressure of lower social groups. In our time, when the old “proletarians” are becoming petty bourgeois (and the lumpen are largely excluded from the political scene), the fascism of tomorrow will find its audience in this new majority.

12. Since both permanent war and heroism are difficult games to play, the Ur-Fascist transfers his will to power to sexual matters.
This is the origin of machismo (which implies both disdain for women and intolerance and condemnation of nonstandard sexual habits, from chastity to homosexuality). Since even sex is a difficult game to play, the Ur-Fascist hero tends to play with weapons — doing so becomes an ersatz phallic exercise.

This definition has 14 points, and it would appear that the GOP is a perfect match for 13 of these 14 points.

As I got earlier and above, transgendered people are far more likely to be the victims of such crimes than commit them. It really says a lot about how little character he has that he thinks this is funny.

Well, realize where he gets it from. In his mind, transgender isn’t a biological issue, it’s a spiritual issue. He thinks trans people are infected by demons and that they’re only pretending in order to satisfy their depraved lusts. A nifty bit of projection, that.

If HRC wins in ‘16 and serves two terms, the right wing is just going to get crazier and crazier. Josh Duggar would be old enough to run for President in ‘24, right….?

My hope is that there is a point where they get so crazy more and more people just have to step out of the party.

I still have faith in fellow man, and some of them may be lost politically and willing to put up with the crazy still, but everyone has a point where reality will take over and enough is enough.

I have a feeling we are getting nearer to that point. Who knows, maybe it will happen in this election cycle. The crazy will be really pushed hard due to the over-packed clown bus.

Maybe one or two realize right now there is more to be gained by trying to take a higher road. I think Kasich is playing in that area. I thought Bush wanted to go there, but I don’t think he has the guts to really do it.

Reason has got to win out. It’s just the nature of humanity.

I think she has had the privilege to afford the medical and esthetic procedures she desired and the position to be unthreatened by loss of job/income, etc. that face most transexual people. As an already public personality she is able to continue to profit from her celebrity probably even more. I hope she will use that platform in a positive way that is not self-centered. Considering her lack of support for LGBT issues in the past that is by no means a given.

Apparently the persecution of Christian males has reached some sort of tipping point, so sez PaleoPat:

Cultural Cleansing of Christian Males

[…]

Another drive is underway by feminists to remove the visage of Andrew Jackson from the $20 bill and replace it with that of a woman, preferably a minority woman. Jackson, it is said, was responsible for the ethnic cleansing of the Cherokees in the Trail of Tears.

Yet, Jackson, slashed across the head by a British soldier in the last days of the Revolution for refusing to polish his boots, was also arguably the greatest soldier-statesman in American history.

Gen. Jackson led the 1815 defense of New Orleans against the British invasion force, and crushed the Indian marauders in Florida, drove out the Spanish governor, and cleared the path for annexation.

Twice elected president, Jackson is, with Jefferson, a father of the Democratic Party, and he and his proteges Sam Houston and James K. Polk virtually doubled the size of the United States.

[…]

Not only is Buchanan seemingly ok with Jackson’s genocide, he then goes on to trumpet another defeat of natives.

You want to know why?

According to SLU Assistant Vice President for Communications Clayton Berry, “some faculty and staff … raised questions about whether the sculpture is culturally sensitive.” Senior Ryan McKinley is more specific: “The statue of De Smet depicts a history of colonialism, imperialism, racism and of Christian and white supremacy.”

But if the founder of Christianity is the Son of God, then Christianity is a superior religion. What Ryan and those faculty and staff seem to be ashamed of, uncomfortable with, or unable to defend, is the truth for which Saint Louis University was supposed to stand.

Because Je$u$, that’s why.

I see Ann Coulter is getting lots of love on the more notorious racist websites for her latest book.

But the stoking of white fear isn’t just being done by a few authors or secretive websites. It’s part of major media outlets too, especially when they feature letters that are prettly clearly all about white ethnocentrism.

Example, from a major North Carolina newspaper:

Tom Shuford: White interests

[…]

Meanwhile, the establishment - political, academic, media, religious - suppresses any expression of the group interests of the majority. This is a glaring double standard. It has a profound negative effect on the majority.

A solution is true, democratic multi-culturalism that recognizes that every racial/ethnic group, including the white majority, has legitimate group interests.

His supporters make it clear in the comments to his letter what he means:

Dv Bec * Top Commenter * SUNY Stony Brook School of Medicine
Mr. Shuford is quite correct.

Whites have an inherent interest in seeing their own people survive and prosper.

It’s never controversial when non-White groups (Asians, non-White Hispanics, etc.) explicitly support their own interests. There’s no reason for us and our European cousins to neglect our own peoples’ best interests.

Tom Shuford: You need to know that there are dozens of millions of Americans who support the ideas you have discussed.

Slowly the AmRen/Stormfront crowd is being mainstreamed, and plowing the way is the likes of Ann Coulter is quite determined to make ethnic confrontation her legacy.

I am still drowning in pre Revolution material in my library right now, and I just haven’t had time to move up to the Federalist period.

I just can’t get into that era honestly. I’ve tried but most of my interests remain I’d say about post-1848. I did read a good book on the Tories a couple years back though. I found that fascinating since we never really learn about their motivations in history class. I mean they’re not white washed from history but we never learn their motivations. I think Adams later said of the revolution that 1/3 were Patriots, 1/3 loyalists, and the rest wanted to be left alone.

I think he’s getting more and more stupid as he gets older. I mean really first off Secretary of State showing off for younger people and secondly I don’t think anyone under 30 if at all looks at what the SoS does in his spare time and goes “Yeah I am going to be cool just like the SoS.” Besides Kerry has always been a biker. I remember him biking as a presidential candidate. It’s something he enjoys doing. A hobby what have you. Kind of like how Rush enjoys sex tourism in the Dominican Republic.

He just comes as a bitter old chode who resents people who actually happy rather than miserable like him. I think it is easy enough for RWNJs to accept this model, if the proper things are emphasized and ignored. For example, the fact that a gun in the home is not much use in many domestic violence situations is to be ignored. Meanwhile, the proportion of rapes that are committed by (black) strangers jumping out from behind bushes is greatly exaggerated, as is the utility of a gun in that context.

These departures from reality seem mild, for RWNJs.

And it’s like dude you’re dressed for a Victoria’s Secret shoot not to fire a gun anywhere. I can’t even get mad. The only time I really get mad is when they do shit like likening gun control to Nazism. Which reminds me, how are they going to react when they find out the ebil socialist actually has voted against many gun control measures? I expect they’ll ignore it. Yeah, unlike that populist couple Ann and Mitt Romney who enjoy the working man’s sport, dressage.

But it is, or can be! It just is the French word for ‘training’ and lots of us lowly folks with one gelding in the backyard do it, and go to local shows when we can!

It does take a lot of money (and major equine and human talent) to do it on an Olympic level, but if you have a small lot, you can keep a horse for about what it costs to feed a large dog.

Please don’t make fun of my sport. It’s wonderful!

316 Kuni  Jun 3, 2015 2:02:33pm

The media should do its job and confront self-confesses sexual predator Mike Huckabee and explain to him that one does not pretend to be transgender in order to shower with the girls unless one is an evil and vile sexual predator.

The real question now is how many child molestation skeletons in his closet is Huckabee, like his good friends the Duggar family, trying to compensate for with his anti-gay hate speech.
