Just watch.

(The Grio)The incident reportedly took place this weekend in McKinney, Texas - where a resident was having a pool party. Allegedly, neighbors were concerned about the large group of black children who were in attendance at the event, and called the police to intervene. Authorities arrived immediately to the predominately white neighborhood and proceeded to chase and handcuff the frightened partygoers without providing much information as to why. At one point in the clip, an officer can be seen pinning a young girl in a bathing suit facedown into the grass while grabbing her by her braids. She and her friends hysterically scream as she is cuffed. The adults in the neighborhood are seen helplessly watching on as the girl sobs. All throughout the clip several detained young boys try to explain to the police that they just arrived to the scene and were not involved in whatever complaints had been made. They also appear confused as to why they have been cuffed. The video ends with the officer chastising the boys for “being part of the mob.”

UPDATE at 6/7/15 2:41:56 pm by Charles Johnson

Wow. The officer shown brutally manhandling a teenage girl above, Eric Casebolt, has his own YouTube account: youtube.com

And he has a playlist of “police training videos,” some of which are blatantly racist in nature. And get a load of this — Casebolt added the video of the pool party incident to his playlist:

YouTube

(UPDATE: the playlist has now been deleted.)

Here’s a screenshot of Casebolt’s playlist at YouTube, just in case the video suddenly disappears from it; it’s the last one on the list, at the bottom:

Officer Casebolt has now deleted everything in his YouTube account.

Wow. He actually pulled his gun on these kids. Even the other cops were trying to restrain him. This guy was out of control.

6 JadeHelmCurious  Jun 7, 2015 12:47:13pm

Multiple problems with this situation. Not only was this cop clearly out of control of his emotions and situation, the black kids were assumed to be the problem.

I’m thinking it’s always been this way but the prevalence of technology is making it easy for people to record and share the videos.

7 Dr. Matt  Jun 7, 2015 12:47:22pm

This is a fucking unbelievable picture. Indeed, a picture is worth a 1000 words…..

Indeed, it’s the standard “they should have done as told” bit, the idea that the kids brought this on themselves by not just obeying the cops. None of those who are defending the cops can explain why the white kids who were disobeying the cops didn’t get the same treatment.

Of course not. They’re a bunch of fucking bigots who will justify any racist action towards black people but the second a cop gets impatient with them, it means the government is out to get them.

You’ve got a cop at the beginning of the video telling kids not to run when the cops show up…and then one dumbass running around, demonstrating the sort of behavior that has led to black kids running from cops when they show up.

Have family friends in McKinney. Been there many, many times.

We’re white. 2 little boys. Husband is a high school basketball coach and we always have 3-4 of his black players with us. Tall, young, black males with our family. Our boys get carried on their shoulders.

We get a lot of looks there. It’s a cute town. But those players know never to go anywhere without us. EVER. Not even a question.

It’s that kind of place. Things are there underneath. This is it surfacing. We won’t be going again now that our instincts are confirmed.

Yep. Just like when the police car door - used as a weapon intended to intimidate Michael Brown - bounced off of Brown’s torso into Darren Wilson’s face. One big adrenalin rush and the good guy with a gun isn’t any longer.

Break out the popcorn. There is another outbreak of civil war at Free Republic re the Duggars. This time it is over a breathless post revealing that the tabloid that exposed the “inappropriate touching” story is owned by a German conglomerate that also traffics in pornography.

Meet the Terrible Porn Publisher Behind the Outing of the Duggar Abuse Story

Needless to say, this is an utterly irrelevant ad hominem since the basic facts are not in dispute and it would not matter if Satan himself had initially revealed them.

Some of the freepers have predictably jumped right on this as proof of an anti-Christian agenda in the revelations, if not an actual Obammunist conspiracy.

“ANTI-CHRISTIANS did this….finding out they are in PORN does NOT surprise me…..and the PERSON who released this info must also be into PORN PLUS anti-Christian!”

Others are pushing back HARD, however:

“If I had kids anywhere near that family in the last ten years, I’d be freaking out.”

“The magazine did nothing illegal. Josh was 18 when the police report was made. And the Duggars never asked a judge for the records to be sealed.”

“Does all this mean that Josh did not touch his sisters’ vaginas?”

…..which elicited this pathetic squeak of a counter-punch:

“WHY do you hate the Duggars so much…..I think I know.”

That last bit is the item that’s lost in all this: The authorities didn’t get mixed up in this until after Josh was 18, which means there was no seal on those records. To get them sealed, he or his parents would have had to petition a judge to seal them. And doing that would have raised some serious red flags at a time when the family was just beginning to draw the attention of the media.

This cop is completely out of control and fucking dangerous.

Why? The kids didn’t immediately obey him. They stayed there. And filmed it. And asked why he was doing what he was.

Thank GOD those other officers were there. Can you imagine if he were one on one with one or two of those kids? As amped up as he was, waving a gun around?

I hope they sue the City of McKinney. They have deep pockets.

Our cameras are saving us from them. Takes time. This is another tick on the clock.

In all of past history we never ever had such a powerful non violent tool to assert the truth of an event as right now. Especially when that is oppression by way of racial policing. Cops can’t hide this crap anymore. We are our own video empowered check on authorities.

And that’s why I come down firmly in the camp of liberal rules for small drones and the public using them. Well call it one reason on my list.

re: #41 Targetpractice

From what I read for nothing being sealed is the distinction between court records vs. police records:

From: rawstory.com
They had to release the reports,” said attorney John Tull, of Little Rock. “Those records are not closed under FOI. The alleged perpetrator had attained his majority at the time it was released, and once his name and all the victims’ names were blacked out, it was subject to FOI.”

Tull said the Arkansas statute exempting juvenile records in a variety of cases does not apply to police reports.

“These are police records, not court records, so I don’t believe the court has authority to order destruction of the records, nor do I think that the police department has any alternative but to release the records pursuant to Freedom of Information,” said Tull, an attorney for the Arkansas Press Association.

and

From: washingtonpost.com
Much of the discussion about the Duggar family’s possible legal claim has centered on one main question: Aren’t juvenile records kept private?

In most cases, they are. In 2009, Arkansas lawmakers revised the state code to provide additional protection for juvenile records. The law very clearly states that “all records are closed and confidential,” except for a handful of narrowly tailored exceptions. And most records are expunged by the time the juvenile turns 21, according to the code.

But the Duggar case never made it into the juvenile court system, or any court system, for that matter. The alleged crimes occurred in 2002 and 2003, but the police investigation did not occur until 2006. By that time, Josh Duggar was already an adult at age 18, so the state code covering the confidentiality of juvenile records would not apply to this case, legal experts have said.

I think the other cops were fast to restrain him in part because they understand the recent past on video from cell phones. Some back from the cloud after the phone got files deleted in official custody. The public gets it everyone is fast to whip out the phones at an incident these days. Heck all they gotta do is look up from texting and hit the not a selfie camera icon.

What in the actual fuck… Wow… Just wow.

McKinney is up northeast of DFW, in one of these areas that’s exploded in the last ten years. I was last there on Thanksgiving 2013 and there was still development work ongoing. Lots of cookie-cutter big-house suburban developments are appearing seemingly overnight, and come to think of it, the most color you might see are the skins of the yard crews tending all those perfect little lawns. A couple of dozen black kids in a backyard would probably be a shock to the locals.

Texas: leading the way in American national embarrassment yet again.

It’s the presence of so many cameras that is beginning to level the playing field for the public in the fight for changes in law enforcement. It’s hard as hell for the defenders of the police to argue that there’s no problems when you’ve got videos like this, where a rage-fueled cop totally undoes the argument that all you have to do to avoid getting your ass beat by the cops is to obey them. You’ve got one cop who’s telling kids they shouldn’t run when cops show up, while his buddy is running around behind him, screaming at the kids he’s trying to have a frank discussion with to get on the ground.

I thought these were interesting facts about the story:

Grace Stone, a white 14-year-old, told BuzzFeed News that when she and her friends objected to the racist comments about public housing an adult woman then became violent.

and

“Everyone who was getting put on the ground was black, Mexican, Arabic,” [Brooks] said. “[The cop] didn’t even look at me. It was kind of like I was invisible.”

Brooks is a white 15 year old male. I couldn’t find a first name.

from buzzfeed.com.

White kids are noticing the racism. They’re too young to do much but record the video, but in the idiocy of the event, it makes me a bit hopeful.

I don’t think the prospect of people shooting video with their phones is going to stop this kind of thing—it’ll only make it worse. Now that cops have gotten more sensitized to it, I think they’ll just start shooting anybody they even suspect of filming them. They’ll get off for it. If they can get off for shooting a 12-year-old with a water pistol, they can get off on anything.

Nope, not going to buy a house with an aging 42 yr old all-electric HVAC system. I crawled under the house to take a look; the A/C condenser was rusting out, too. And the realtor didn’t even know where the water heater was so I couldn’t check that out. Plus, just the shell of a coal burning stove—not the stove itself which had been removed. Plus, when I turned the faucet on at the well in the backyard, no water came out, and she couldn’t tell me where the septic tank was. But she just had to tell me she’d been to church this morning.

The cosmetic reno was nice, though.

My grandson, on the way home, said, Why don’t you get your real estate license? Nope.

Cyberattack: US should retaliate for theft of personal data, congressmen say

While the timing and method of retaliation should be determined by the administration and kept secret, “these countries or these terrorist groups should know there will be consequences when they act this way,” Mr King said.

Representative Adam Schiff of California, the top Democrat on the intelligence panel, said the administration must determine “when we’re going to go on offence.”

It’s nothing more than “entitled” ferrels being ferrel and then pretending to be victims. The cops were doing the best they could in a difficult situation. Illiterate and proud of it, judging by the pointed repetition of “ferrel.”

Sort of. Human’s will find a way to choreograph any kind of “story” that they really want to see…

Several of David Brin’s novels & his non-fiction - especially “Earth” (1990), “The Transparent Society: Will Technology Force Us to Choose Between Privacy and Freedom?” (1998) & “Existence” (2012) explore these issues in depth. “Earth” is especially prescient in this regard.

Good for you.

When we bought our current house, the real estate agent wasn’t sure how to deal with us. I was checking the attic, the furnace/AC and plant, plumbing, checking for signs of water in the basement, etc. She was used to people looking at the most superficial and easy to change things (paint, wallpaper, etc.). She was shocked when I told her to take any houses from certain builders off the list (I was not happy with the quality of construction in the samples we saw). I identified all the issues with our house before the home inspection (including some the inspector missed) and had them fixed within a month of buying the house.

Sounds like you are one of the rare people who actually understands what’s important to know about potential future costs (such as replacing old plant equipment).

Good luck with the hunt.

Totally OT, but man, the condescension in this opinion piece over at the JPost is so thick you could cut it with a knife.

The guy is basically saying that what Freud supposedly said (I don’t know if he indeed did as I’m not familiar with it) is correct—namely, that Christians engage in antisemitism because they’re repressed pagans, most of whom are incapable of true monotheism and therefore resent Judaism’s ethical superiority which was foisted on them by (the Jewish) Jesus.

He goes on to assert that it’s basically the same for (Arab) Muslims:

Make anti-Semitism a source of Jewish pride

Together with their strong opposition to a Jewish state in the midst of vast Arab territory, tiny Israel becomes a thorn in their flesh especially because it has managed to keep this kind of extremism out of its own country. Israel, then, as the physical representative of Jewish moral consciousness, becomes the source of ongoing hate. […]

jpost.com

So the whole problem with antisemitism is people being jealous of Jew’s moral superiority? That’s just…. I can’t even… What an ass.

Shockingly, it looks like Freepers are actually mostly in agreement that there’s just no way to look at this video as anything but an indication that the cop was a total fucking moron. Throwing a girl who sassed him to the ground, drawing a gun to scare off two guys who tried to stop him, and then handcuffing her when she’d be released half an hour later with no charges.

There’s one or two bootlickers who are trying to take the cop’s side, but the majority of Freepers who’ve actually sat and watched the video (including one who got a link to the video from a buddy who’s a cop) agree that this asshole was in the wrong.

169 JadeHelmCurious  Jun 7, 2015 4:06:41pm

Another video, the plot thickens.

A white woman at the pool started making racist comments, Thomas said, such as telling black teens at the party to get used to the bars outside the pool because that’s all they were going to see.

Grace Stone, 14, who is white, told BuzzFeed News that she and friends objected to an adult woman making racist comments to other teens at the party and that the woman turned violent.

Don’t know if this is the actual white woman in the video.

171 Targetpractice  Jun 7, 2015 4:11:56pm

What continues to stick out to me like a sore thumb is that, despite the initial story about how the kids were there illegally and jumping the fence, and the insistence that kids were being belligerent and fighting with the cops, the only person who was arrested was an adult male who was apparently getting in the way of cops going after these teens. Not a single teen was arrested or issued a citation.

This whole sad spectacle proves that many in police think they’re going into battle when they go to work. It’s not about protecting and serving the community. It’s about battle, engaging the enemy. Militarization. A whole culture has to be changed, and that shit ain’t gonna happen overnight. It’ll take hundreds, if not thousands, of these videos to get the whole body politic on board with steering police culture away from militarization and towards protecting and serving communities.

The racial element is also very troubling. I’m convinced if all those kids were white, nothing would have happened.

On a side note, I remember when wings were the cheapest thing in the meat section. You got them mainly for stock, or because you were really really broke. Now they run higher than boneless breast fillets. I don’t even want to figure what the price per pound is for the meat on them. :) I’ll just keep buying them and eating them.

Memo to self: Develop a genetically altered chicken with about 4 wings per side.

198 ObserverArt  Jun 7, 2015 4:47:10pm

I saw some of you commenting that it is good these police incidents are caught on camera. Amen.

What is interesting about this video to me is this might be considered an ordinary police call. Some kids trying to get into a pool. It should be sort of routine. Go out, check what is going on and take care of the issue. Easy.

But no, the cops go in with an attitude and it all gets out of control DUE TO THE POLICE. And what is the attitude? Black kids…automatic trouble makers, do not mess with them, take control of the situation because you know how ‘they can be!’ Do not asses the situation, control it any means necessary.

If you are white this would have been no big deal. This same daily occurrence would have been over in 2 minutes if it was an all white group of ‘good kids from a good neighborhood.’

If you are black an ordinary kid type activity can turn into a major deal and your kids can have a gun pulled on them and be treated like criminals even though there really is no crime.

I’ve seen that happen here in Columbus with too many kids gathering in one of the parks. No problem until the cops show up to move them out. Can’t they just roll up and watch? The kids know they are there. They will chill…probably move along. No, the police have to make a point and put on a demonstration of who has the power.

If we are building a database of these incidents, I bet this one would be seen by people of color as being just another police call on African Americans, Hispanics and probably kids that could be seen as ‘Muslims’ even if the are just dark skinned. But mostly for Blacks…they see this all the damn time.

White folks need this kind of example because anyone with a brain can see there was no big deal here. The cops made it into one. Now that I bet happens 100 times a day or more in this country. Hopefully we all start to see more and more so people can no longer excuse it as rare or the kids deserved it, the must have been doing something wrong.

And people wonder why police forces were ever called pigs or bulls.

The state police have jurisdiction over these local yokels. So do sheriffs, as wingnuts famously point out (though their jurisdiction is only over sub-jurisdictions within the county, not the feds or the state).
There really are state troopers and sheriffs who would bring this shit to a screeching halt, but they have little capacity to do so because of Perry-site cutbacks and analogous cost cutting by wingnut county commissions.

However I would venture that if I were a kid growing up in Aspen in the 60s or 70s, before the digital age, I’d be willing to bet that I would be pretty clueless as to race relations in the real world.

I understand.

Libertine Canadians angering spirits around the world:

Naked Canadian, European Tourists Blamed For Deadly Malaysia Earthquake

A group of 10 tourists from Europe and Canada who recently stripped naked at the peak of Mount Kinabalu in Malaysia are being blamed by a local official for causing a deadly earthquake that hit the country on Friday.

[…]

Pairin: Naked tourist brought on mountain’s wrath

The earthquake that has so far claimed 11 lives here was caused by the sacrilegious act of a group of Europeans who stripped naked on the peak of Mount Kinabalu, according to Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan.

The Huguon Siou (paramount leader of the Kadazandusun) condemned the “uncivilised” and disrespectful actions of the 10 Europeans, and called for the culprits to be brought to a native court and charged according to local customs.

“Whether other people believe this or not, it’s what we Sabahans believe. When the earthquake happened, it’s like a confirmation of our beliefs.

[…]

Can someone really believe that stuff?

Yes, but in this case there is another side to this story, sad and serious:

Sabah earthquake: Singapore students among 16 Mount Kinabalu dead as crews search ‘river of stones’; rescuers criticised for slow response

Six Singapore primary school students and one teacher are among the 16 people confirmed killed by an earthquake that rocked Malaysia’s Mount Kinabalu, Malaysian officials say.

[…]

The Sabah minister has also had to field criticism from climbers that search and rescue efforts were ineffective for hours after the Friday quake.

Climber Vee Jin Dumlao labelled the rescue effort “a farce”.

[…]

Sounds to me like local officials are using superstition to get the spotlight off themselves.

Fight-or-flight decisions are critical survival instincts that have evolved in humans and other creatures, over many millennia. I do believe that US LEOs routinely receive advanced training in how to abuse those instincts, and that this may be at the heart of most of the problems between police and the public.

The latest few updates from the genius threatracking website chuckcjohnson.info:

6/4/2015 ~5:00 PM: “I intend to sue Gawker over the summer, I intend to sue Politico and a number of other publications who made up things about my past to try to marginalize my work… it has caused me some damages.” As for Twitter, “I intend to fight it on discrimination grounds, on contract grounds, on FCC guidelines…” [Source: Chuck C. Johnson, interview with “A Voice For Men”]
5/31/2015 11:27 PM: Apparently Alan Dershowitz is “helping” to sue Twitter and there are other lawsuits coming (which we assume means libel suits.) [Source: Chuck C. Johnson on the John and Leah Show.]

Don’t kid yourselves folks: Segregation still exists in America. It’s not officially legal and it’s not as explicit as it once was but it’s still there. There are still plenty of places black people just shouldn’t go to because it’s too dangerous.

Because they’re not wanted.

Because they are seen as inferior.

Or as criminals.

The Civil Rights struggle is NOT over.

Look at how it is with the police: Different rules for different ethnicities. We’ve seen it again and again and again and again.

Segregation plain and simple. Just look at the word:

Segregation

the action or state of setting someone or something apart from other people or things or being set apart.

the enforced separation of different racial groups in a country, community, or establishment.

Welcome to the greatest country in the world 2015.

More likely to get something already multi-limbed modded to produce chicken-ish meat.

Well, they are going after the girl that was assaulted, on twitter. Saying she’s a regular “pool crasher” and instigated the fight with the white woman.

Which contradicts the clear facts of the incident, but to the haters the only fact that matters is that the woman and male cop who got violent are white and the girl is black.

360 palomino  Jun 7, 2015 7:57:56pm

Every critique of cops has to start with a disclaimer: they do a tough dangerous job, most are good decent people, he’s just one rotten apple, blah blah blah.

Except that isn’t necessarily the case. Whole departments are out of control with an us vs. them mentality. If you want respect from the people you allegedly serve, you need to show respect as well. And when it comes to dealing with young people, especially minorities, you just don’t see much respect coming from cops.

I agree with you - the F-18 show just isn’t the same. I have fond memories of the Skyhawks. Last year I visited the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola. They have a display of the Blue Angels A-4s, three of which were used in the 1984 season (the last A-4 show I remember seeing). Seeing them on display was like seeing old friends again after thirty years. The last time I saw these planes, I was five and they were doing rolls and loops over my head:

The very worst of all unions—-police unions—-are the only ones your little boy Walker would ever protect. And only because “law and order” Republicans just love themselves some tough police state tactics. And because they see no problem protecting the violent abusive cops who get shielded by their unions. Truly disgusting, hardly a laughing matter.

That said, the F/A-18 has proved a major upgrade as a fighter and attack aircraft over the Skyhawk, It’s greater range and heavier warload were things our carriers needed and if its not quite the dogfighter the A-4 was, its being able to use the AIM-120 AMRAAM means its less likely to need to get close.

Corrupt is corrupt. I’ve been against the Teamsters my whole life as well.

/understood your comment but not kidding in the least. Real corruption in a few unions is used by the right wing to taint all unions or, worse, like in the case of police unions, to turn members against those they are supposed to “protect and serve”.

379 HappyWarrior  Jun 7, 2015 8:17:25pm

What we need to change is first who gets hired as cop and secondly change the training. And also severely punish any misconduct that occurs on the job. The police union is doing society no favors when it makes excuse after excuse for officer misconduct.

You can’t have subtle if you don’t already have blatant. Subtle comes from confidence the group already knows. Subtle plays off the well established and defined. Atwater knew all he needed was the dog whistles. The dogs were already there and listening.

They did nothing wrong, but a white woman freaked out about them. Some white people are so messed up in the head about black people they call the cops when they see then working on a car or fishing. And I admit to getting that out of a Daily FAIL article, but the real kicker was that in the first of those two cases, it was actually the cop who told the pearl-clutching woman that it wasn’t a crime to be black.

Sick, just sick.

No, he didn’t. He can only be faulted for one crash. Of the others, one wasn’t a crash at all as he landed the aircraft safely and in easily repairable condition, another was loss was due to engine failure and the Navy found McCain didn’t do anything wrong, the Forrestal disaster was not John McCain’s fault in any way, and the last was when he was shot down, which he could not have avoided given the level of defensive fire aimed at his bird.

So yeah, I’m gonna go there.

McKinney’s got McMansions, it’s suburbia on a plate. And a lot of those kids were from McKinney, which isn’t only whitebread land. 25% is non-white.

I’m not defending McKinney - and I don’t need to. Nor (god help me) am I defending that asshat cop. He should be GONE.

But let’s be honest here when we discuss things. Maybe it makes some feel better to say “oh, I get it, it’s hickville, all rednecks.” Nope, the people that live there are more like those in Office Space than Hee Haw.

Who are these “some” who feel better when they say “it’s Hicksville, all rednecks?” I didn’t say that and neither did anyone else here. We can see for ourselves from the video that McKinney is not like the Gober Post Office, whatever significance that has. 45 miles is “right near” by Texas standards. You should know that.
I often post Texas history photos, especially when events in Texas are under discussion.
I live in rural Palo Pinto County, Texas, and it would be hard to prove by me that the locals are any more “rednecks” or “hicks” than the suburban tract-dwellers; a good deal less in many cases in fact.

Feel free to stalk me over on twitter. *waves at Charles, Gus, et al*

P.S. I’m highly unimpressed by “lizards”, og or otherwise.

45 miles is an hour drive. That’s not “right near.” An hour is an hour no matter where you are, unless your transport is a TARDIS. You made an invalid comparison. You attempted to suggest that McKinney is something it’s not. It’s not BFE.

I’m in Fort Worth, I’ve lived on the D side of the ‘plex. I’ve also lived in Austin. Pull the other leg.

I’ve only driven across the state of Texas a handful of times, all of them going to or from Austin or Dallas for some music incidentally. ( :-P )

One time I took state highway 71 out of Austin towards Colorado. “Let’s drive on a two-lane highway across Texas” I thought. “It’ll be…different.”

It sure was. And I really got a scope of just how big Texas is. 45 miles is nothing.

No one said anything like this here, dipshit.

I lived in Carrolton which is outside of McKinney, TX. The one thing I remember about this area, is that they didn’t have public transportation. A friend who lived there was complaining one day that she had to drive her son to and from work because his car was broke.
See places like Carrollton and McKinney and the like although suburbs of DFW, while Dallas proper has diverse public transportation, these suburbs do not.

Now what does that tell you about a city that does that? To me it tells me that you are trying to keep out “those” people. Because people who can afford not to, don’t need public transportation. So by having none at all, you can keep those out.

I’m not at all surprised this type of calling the cops incident happened in McKinney

If they’re not a troll or a sockpuppet, I’d be surprised, because they sure are starting out with such a ruckus.

Of course, if they’re not, I’ll be the first to apologize.

I’m giving dude/gal the benefit of the doubt. No downdings from me tonight. However, their first few comments…it’s like an angry drunk crashing a party by spouting off and getting into people’s faces.

Not cool.

First I said McKinney was Gober, now I am saying it is Bum Fuck Egypt? You still haven’t explained where, or how I made these alleged suggestions.

Btw, what do you have against rural Egypt? I have been there. Have you?

Places like Gober ARE the cultural heritage of this region. The loss of authentic contact with this heritage is part of the reason for the insanity we see breaking out among RW suburbanites here.

My guess: OG — Old Guard.

Charles, correct me if I’m wrong please. The Twitter counter you have at the top of the post underneath the left side of the headline, does that count every time someone clicks on that particular article on Twitter? Does it have to be your lgf dot bz link for it to work?

That’s correct. It’s the number of clicks on the lgf dot bz short link.

OG= Original Gangster (aka old school)

Many thanks, Tel. Oh, what does “OG” stand for anyway?

It derives from hip-hop music. OG, Original Gangsta. It’s a way of describing the gals or dudes that were there from the very start. In hip-hop, well, it varies widely on who is exactly an OG as it is a construct of time. Off the top of my head? Ice-T.

re: #457 Charles Johnson

No way I could be sure, but I suspect a false flag troll. Construing the hardscrabble rural heritage as some kind of insult is definitely not typical of Texas liberals.
It is the local RWers who attempt to deny, or seriously distort, this heritage in favor of the greed-driven myth of a completely self-reliant rise to the top. Contempt for the still-poor is an obvious by-product. They identify with Rand’s John Galt, when Steinbeck’s Joads would be a much better choice.

Hicksville is on Long Island, anyways. /

A few seconds before RageCop drew his sidearm, he had attempted to choreograph a very forceful meeting of sidewalk and Yellow Bikini Girl’s face. While still constraining her right hand with his right hand, he used his left hand to push DOWN on her horizontal backside as she was falling.

It was that action (which I think may qualify as attempted murder) that may have prompted two young men to try to intervene. That’s when the sidearm was drawn, and they re-considered. There was look of terror* on her face when RageCop returned his attentions to her, to grab her arm yet again, because his gun was still drawn.

*Dear Media: You know how to examine a video frame by frame, right?

Dropping this here where it fits, even though the thread is dead:

463 TimJ  Jun 8, 2015 12:38:41pm

The fatass white neighbors show up, act like big heros “protecting” the insane cop kneeling on a teenage girl in her swim suit. Watching the video I wanted nothing more than kick that cop right in the head. And now the racists are out in full force.

This story has been playing on BBC and in Dutch media all day. The US is not looking very good….
