Sean Hannity: McKinney Cop Was Afraid of Being “Shanked” - Houston Radio Host Calls Teens “Jungle Animals”

Vile as usual
Wingnuts • Views: 36,202

Houston right wing radio host Michael BerryAs usual, right wingers are being absolutely disgusting and openly racist as they leap to attack the victims of the pool party incident in McKinney, Texas. This is who they are.

For example, Houston talk radio host Michael Berry (a wanna-be Rush Limbaugh), who calls the black teenagers “jungle animals” in this clip from Media Matters.

Media Matters

Then there’s Fox News star Sean Hannity on his radio show, saying the cops in McKinney had an “obligation to protect” themselves, because they didn’t know if one of the kids would “hit them in the back with a shank.”

Media Matters

Yes, a “shank” — prison lingo for an illegal blade.

In which universe is this kind of talk about black teenagers considered acceptable?

17 klys (maker of Silmarils)  Jun 9, 2015 10:23:24am

Of course, if they do shoot a pretty white girl, it will then be painted as that cop was “a bad apple” and “not all cops” and we all know how that song and dance would go too.

With some people, I think you would need the cop to run up and shoot them completely unprovoked, similar to the Tamir Rice case. And then you’d need the department to behave exactly as it has again. Maybe that would get through to some people.

18 wrenchwench  Jun 9, 2015 10:24:03am

Having a black president contributes to a bad environment for the police, according to Hannity.

It looks to me like having a black president contributes to the spread of the idea that black people have the same rights as white people.

Hell, even if they did that, there would still be rationalizing. They’d put it all on the one cop, or one any minorities in the chain of command. There’s simply no way they’d agree that the incident said anything about the need to stop cops from acting like they’re soldiers in an occupying army.

This is another point where conservatism totally derailed.

They could have held up Obama as an example that in modern America, there are no more excuses, anyone who works hard can make it to the top on their merits, and encourage minority kids all over to do the same.

But that would involve saying at least something positive about Obama, and their Neanderthal rage brains will not allow that.

Once again, I am flummoxed that right wingers want to hitch their wagon to a guy like Casebolt. What he did was not necessary and should not be acceptable to anyone (regardless of political persuasion). There should be universal outrage to this, not the knee jerk, full throated defense of the cops.

Hell, at least give me the “That video looks bad, but I’ll reserve judgment for after a full investigation.” It would make them look marginally human. Then, if Casebolt is “justified”, they can do a happy dance.

Really just erase Muslim and replace it with any other group and you’ll see immediately why there’s an acceptable prejudiced directed at Muslims in this culture that you can’t get away with other groups. I’ve only ever had hives twice. In both cases, it was from laundry detergent. One of them was Era laundry detergent and the other was a storebrand of detergent I bought at a nearby shop.

I just switched and now I use Persil Sensitive - never had a problem since. There must some common ingredient in Era and the storebrand that I’m allergic to.

The most depressing thing I’ve continued to see just within the last year alone is the mainstream re-perpetuation of the black body (and to a lesser extent, any non-Caucasian body) as both symbol and evidence of imminent violence. Just the fact that soon as someone vaguely brown is involved into something, the assumption is immediately that of criminality and violence on the part of the non-Caucasian.

Living in the Houston area I can attest to the douchiness of Michael Berry. All the area wingnuts hire him to pimp their products/services on the air, he has the worst radio voice imaginable, lacks any creativity, is a member of the “Redneck Country Club” (yes, it’s a real place), and was accused of a hit-and-run after backing his Tahoe into another vehicle after leaving a well-known gay bar in Houston about 2.5 years ago.

I have a lot of it digitized. I printed out a bare bones tree for my Dad the other day that just has the name. How far back do you think a professional would be able to go and how much do you think they’d charge? Slovenian records man are practically non-existent online. The Irish records are a little tough too since I can only really speculate about which county they came from. One of the other Irish came over in the 1820’s and while I do know the county, I can’t figure anything more out. I actually had some success with the Slovaks since Slovak naming patterns are fairly predictable.

Not just justified, but how swiftly the entire thing was flipped on its head. How easily the case turned into a trial against Trayvon Martin for the crime of being an inherently violent criminal thug, and how wildly successful the campaign against him was. How his name became directly synonymous with ‘thug’ and ‘criminal even now. It continues to be so fucking galling and depressing and the fact we’re getting direct repeats over and over and fucking over again, social media exposing it constantly only for the American Public become even further convinced of inherent black criminality somehow just…

I really appreciated Norman Foster’s original Kissing Towers idea for rebuilding at the WTC, and came to appreciate the 1WTC design that was ultimately picked (if you ignore the blast hardened base that is now clad in glass to hide the concrete base). I even began to like 4 WTC, and was watching how 3WTC was starting to rise to the sky again.

2WTC was the bastard stepchild, as construction stopped while Silverstein looked around for a major tenant.

He found one, though I’m not particularly happy to report who the tenant is. News Corp / Fox News will be moving from midtown to the WTC complex once the tower is build and after the lease expires on their midtown offices.

As part of the deal to move, News Corp got Silverstein to dump Foster’s design, and they’ve gone with a different starchitect.

Oh, and we will be close to having a twin towers vision as 2WTC will be only 30 feet shorter than 1WTC (excepting the spire).

So two cowboys are out in the brush, one goes to take a leak and gets bitten on the end of his member by a rattlesnake.

“I been bit by a snake’” he tells his buddy,”Go into town and ask the doctor what to do!”

Buddy rides into town and asks the doc what to do about a snakebite. “Make two x-shapes incisions on the wounds, and suck the poison out with your mouth,” the doctor explains.

Buddy rides back. Cowboy asks “What’d the doc say?”

Buddy answers “He says you’re gonna die!”

On Friday, Mickelson spoke to two announced candidates, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, who told him during the show that President Obama is “redistributing poverty” to states like Iowa, and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC).

When Graham tried to draw a parallel between the American Civil War and the current conflict in Iraq, Mickelson jumped in to defend the Confederacy: “I don’t consider the North amongst ourselves. You mentioned capturing territory, I’m considering [Fort] Sumter South Carolinian territory and you were invaded, pretty much like the Russians are invading the Ukraine.”

And maybe those drugs have eated up the itsy bits of Palin’s brain? We’re just asking, with question marks, which makes it OK to say whatever we want.

We will report, so you can decide if Sarah Palin is on drugs? Here she is, on Sean Hannity’s show (on Fox News), saying a whole mess of words about how terrible it is that The Media (Fox News) exposed two of the Duggar girls (on Fox News) by interviewing them about that one time their brother Josh repeatedly molested them, for more than a year (that we are aware of):

KELLY: But he confessed.

HUCKABEE: He was never adjudicated. He did not confess in a court of law. The law does not hold him accountable, even if he confesses. The bigger issue is not Josh, the bigger issue, the girls. How were the girls served? How were the victims served by the exploitation, by the release, the unlawful release, I’m going to go back and emphasize the illegal unlawful release of that information. It was not about the victims. It was about trying to go after the Duggars. They have been known as a family that is a Christian family. If a Liberal has anything like this kind of situation, it’s no big deal. And I think we all have heard the comparison between this and Lena Dunham who wrote about it in her book.

Wow! I particularly liked this quote:

The reality is that women are treated differently by society for exactly the same reason that children and the mentally handicapped are treated differently. It’s just easier this way for everyone. You don’t argue with a four-year old about why he shouldn’t eat candy for dinner. You don’t punch a mentally handicapped guy even if he punches you first. And you don’t argue when a women tells you she’s only making 80 cents to your dollar. It’s the path of least resistance. You save your energy for more important battles.

What an ass.

re: #240 Backwoods_Sleuth

He’s pushing the same BS line that a few others have tried that the release of the police report was somehow illegal (hint: it wasn’t). The Duggars did the girls no justice by doing more to protect Josh’s future than they did about the girls’ past, present, or future.

Josh admitted to the abuse of his sisters when he was an adult. Yes, the acts occurred while he was a minor, but his parents had a duty of care to his sisters, which they utterly and abominably failed. They failed in their duty of care to him as well - instead of putting him in a proper treatment facility, they shipped him off to a friend who was in no way qualified to treat/handle his abuse situation.

His parents further engaged in criminality by obstructing justice and failing to report the crimes committed by their son.

But Huckabee is flailing about to try and blame everyone but his close warm personal friends in the Duggars for their own heinous activities.

That shows Huckabee’s judgment simply can’t be trusted. Period.
