Hilarious! CNN Guests Gravely Analyze “ISIS Flag” at London Pride Parade (Psst: It’s a Dildo Flag)

Self-beclownment

YouTube

This is one of the funniest things I’ve seen so far this year, as CNN International reporter Lucy Pawle gravely reports on an “ISIS Flag” she discovered today at the London Gay Pride Parade, and then a panel including terrorism expert Peter Bergen spends several minutes soberly analyzing the flag and what it means.

Could it be a signal to attack? Why didn’t someone try to find the person carrying it? Should we be CONCERNED? What could it MEAN!?

And none of them notice that the symbols on the flag are … butt plugs and dildos and other sex toys.

UPDATE at 6/27/15 2:46:41 pm by Charles Johnson

And to really put the icing on this cake, CNN reporter Lucy Pawle then deleted her video and tried to deny she ever reported this:

It’s possible, even likely, that the police could have set her straight but decided to let her make a fool of herself and her much despised employers.

If anyone at CNN had any respect at all for the practice of journalism, they’d clean the slate - everyone from Wolf Blitzkrieg on down, and give them the opportunity to re-apply for their jobs by answering a single essay question: “What have you done for us lately other than make us look stupid?”

Republican Senator Says Gay Pals Disagree With Supreme Court Ruling

Republican Senator James Inhofe says that his gay friends, like him, are displeased with the Supreme Court’s recent ruling that lifted bans on same-sex marriages. “I’ve been disappointed, and I was not surprised. I thought they would rule the way they did. I know a lot of people, actually a lot of people who are friends of mine in the gay community, who also think it was a bad decision,” Inhofe told KOTV in Oklahoma on Friday, Buzzfeed reports.

man, I guess we should extend kudos to the folks at Faux. They’ve managed to turn millions of Americans into hair-triggered fanatics at the slightest pressure upon the bubbles that they live in.

I have no doubt, that gay are now inextricably linked to ISIS not matter what anyone says for the next three months because this just reinforced their belief system that anyone not just like them, i.e. rural-godfearing-conservative is therefore bad, not to be trusted and quite possibly an enemy to their way of life.

Couple that with out baitclick-outrage du-jour media and we have a nearly perfect storm of know-nothings being fed tripe by people who no longer care for integrity or accuracy, they just need to be first.

Cripes…. while this week that started in tragedy has been somewhat redeemed, we still have black churches being burned and people being killed and a festering boil of humanity that refuses to believe that their heritage is based on the trafficking of human beings.

In a just world, a world where accountability exists, some CNN producer would come out and say, “We deeply apologize for the ridiculous story we ran not long ago about an alleged ISIS flag at London’s Pride Parade. We failed completely to do any sort of fact checking, and we at CNN would like to assure our viewers that Lucy Pawle, the reporter who “broke” this story, has just been fired; she is no longer with us. Again, we apologize, and now we return to our regular programming.”

Offline.

First of all, thank you for your support of the Confederate Battle Flag — and thank you for your support of my store, Dixie Republic Online orders have been overwhelming and if you’ve placed an order in the past week, I regret that your order is not going to be processed as quickly as I would like. We’ve made the decision to stop online orders temporarily until we can assess existing orders against our current stock.

In addition to the Dixie Republic website, I also operate a large brick and mortar store here in Travelers Rest, SC where I maintain a larger inventory than most. But with this huge spike in demand, for the first time we’ve run out of stock on many items. The good news is that because of my long-standing relationships with suppliers, I have more inventory ordered and arriving early next week!

Nonetheless, it may take us a couple of weeks to get all of the orders shipped. I ask that you please be patient and refrain from emailing me asking for the status of your order. You will be advised when when your order ships. And if I am unable to ship all or part of your order within a reasonable time, an appropriate credit will be issued against your original order.

And don’t worry, Dixie Republic will be selling Confederate flags and merchandise as long as there are great folks like you who proudly fly, display and wear them!

God save The South,

Scott @ Dixie Republic

That was my first thought as well, that it doesn’t matter how much this flag is debunked, the Faux crowd are gonna go forward convinced that this was an ISIS flag at a gay pride rally, that it’s proof that “libruls” are in cahoots with a terrorist state that puts homosexuals to death, and God-fearin’ Americans should see this as a sign that homosexuality is linked to terrorism or some shit.

You can be sure there will be morons who, a year from now, will still pass around that picture while declaring “Well, you libruls walked around with an ISIS flag in celebration of homos!!!”

I changed my mind on Kuwait because of this yesterday. They aren’t like the other Gulf States.

Though I am not sure if the Emir is brave, or an idiot. Or both.

The Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Sabah was on the scene minutes after the attack,[3][5]

Brave, because he decided to check on the situation, and took a risk.

Idiot, because he rushed out before the scene was known to be secure.

I dropped the paper a few years back. They have always been very conservative and Beeler the cartoonist was always playing to the paper’s political stance. I am very surprised to see that.

Dreher:

How do we take the Benedict Option, and build resilient communities within our condition of internal exile, and under increasingly hostile conditions? I don’t know. But we had better figure this out together, and soon, while there is time.

Last fall, I spoke with the prior of the Benedictine monastery in Nursia, and told him about the Benedict Option. So many Christians, he told me, have no clue how far things have decayed in our aggressively secularizing world. The future for Christians will be within the Benedict Option, the monk said, or it won’t be at all.

You know, they could have had that. A few years ago, there might have been sufficient political will to define ‘Marriage’ as something churches do, separate from ‘Civil Unions’ which would be a state-sanctioned thing.

But no, they couldn’t even let gays have THAT, so now they have to watch as they get Marriage Equality. SUX 2 B them.

In looking stuff up, I had also forgotten about when the Dispatch bought pretty much every other publication in Columbus in 2011.

The Wolfes were always an “interesting” family. My very first part-time job in Columbus was as the Saturday receptionist at the Dispatch. Do you remember Lou Berliner—sports writer way back when? His daughter was my college roommate.

And here’s one you might or might not know. Remember Pete Franklin, business editor? Now Diana Britt Franklin. Still a funny, smart person (had dinner with her the last time I was in Columbus.)
