Planned Parenthood Website Hacked, Conservative Sites Call It a “PR Stunt”

Right wing rhetoric is getting more and more insane as people realize the Center for Medical Progress is a gang of dishonest religious fanatics, and their “sting” videos are blatantly deceptive attempts to make perfectly legal activities seem nefarious and sinister. You can always tell the right wing narrative is falling apart when they start concocting conspiracy theories about their targets.

For example, this ludicrous article at The Federalist by wingnut hack Sean Davis: Planned Parenthood “Hacking” Sure Looks Like a PR Stunt.

I’m not even going to dignify this laughable conspiracy theory with a quote, because of course it isn’t true. (Right wing “journalists” cook up these absurd stories because they know their audience simply won’t care whether it’s true or not.)

As a matter of fact, the hackers gave a statement to the Daily Dot, and released databases they stole from the Planned Parenthood website containing names and email addresses of employees: Anti-Abortion Hackers Attack Planned Parenthood, Release Databases, Employee Data.

One of the hackers, who goes by the pseudonym “E,” told the Daily Dot that the cyberattack was politically motivated.

“Trying to mold an atrocious monstrosity into socially acceptable behaviors is repulsive,” said E. “Obviously what [Planned Parenthood] does is a very ominous practice. It’ll be interesting to see what surfaces when [Planned Parenthood] is stripped naked and exposed to the public.”

The FBI and Justice Department are now investigating the Planned Parenthood website breach. But don’t tell Sean Davis of The Federalist; he’ll just say they’re all in on the “PR stunt” together.

I think if the Right were somehow prevented from using both the ‘No True Scotsman’ fallacy, and the ‘False Flag’ accusation, they’d end up with a whole lot less to say.

Right-wingers have only themselves to blame when they take Planned Parenthood and it ‘is stripped naked and exposed to the public’ and find that it is a beloved institution that ends up with positive publicity stemming from what the right-wingers tried to do.

LMAO — From a New York Magazine “Daily Intelligencer” piece about infighting in the Paul campaign, No White House for You, Rand Paul:

The senator was mingling with the crowd while John Baeza, a 280-pound retired NYPD detective and Paul family loyalist, stood behind him and provided security. [Campaign manager Chip] Englander barged over, convinced that the ex-cop was getting in the way of supporters eager to snap pictures with the senator.

“What the fuck, Baeza?” Englander said, grabbing his shoulder. “Why are you always getting in our fucking shot?”

“Don’t ever put your hands on me again,” the bodyguard fired back.

Meanwhile….

Perpetual moral scold and apparent credulous village idiot Rod “Benedict Option(!!!!)” Dreher is bemoaning our materialistic post Enlightenment culture and our lack of ability to see faeries, sprites, feys, gnomes and other naturalistic spirits and then go running through the oak groves in hallucinogenic wonder…

I crap you negative.

He once told me that as a very small child he had assumed that everyone was aware of the numinous presences that he saw everywhere, on a nearly daily basis. To him, a small anthropine figure dancing atop an open flower or a radiant angel standing beside a church door was as ordinary a sight as, well, an open flower or a church door. It was only when he was about seven, he said, after years of his parents’ anxiously admonishing him not to make up tales and to embarrass them with his nonsense, that he began to grasp that the world he saw about him was qualitatively different from that of most other persons; and when he was about twelve he began to appreciate how much more interesting and delightful than theirs his reality was.

Rod’s take on the schizophrenic delusions of this person?

Read the whole thing. It’s the best short essay I’ve read in ages, and the ending — it may reduce you to tears- will stay with you, because if, like me, you’re a person of Tolkienish tastes, it exemplifies a civilizational tragedy.

This essay explains succinctly why I will always have more in common with my pagan friend Franklin Evans than I do with modernist Christians — even conservative ones.

I’m in a chat frequented by wingnuts. They are already showing great confusion about the story.
Like Breitbart apparently is running with the story that it was gay men attacked, while the picture clearly shows a woman in the process of being stabbed in the back. “Old story, I don’t think they’ve gotten around to updating it yet.”
Another one thinks it’s a fake story from start to finish, crisis actors etc.
A third doesn’t believe the knife even touched the woman…

The pro-life/anti-choice thing is fairly new among libertarians. I think it started when conservatives started to bail on the GOP in the late aughts and started calling themselves “libertarians”. When I was more attuned to the conservative and libertarian movements the libertarian position was either pro-choice or at the most “I’m don’t like it but it’s not my business.” Of course, most were generally opposed to the government funding pretty much anything - so they’d probably be on board with the “defund” angle.

Interesting. On the one hand there’s the clear evidence in many sports and over decades of recordkeeping that men have a performance advantage over women, and thus we have separate categories for men and women in nearly all sports.

It makes perfect sense.

On the other hand it is clear that what constitutes a woman or a man is not an Either/Or thing, and that while, for example Dutee Chand may have an advantage in one area due to higher natural testosterone levels, other athletes have other advantages that are also natural. To be blunt, you don’t get to be a world class athlete without being naturally outside the norm. So to penalize Chand for a natural advantage while not penalizing others with their own natural advantages is unfair.

That also makes perfect sense.

So, what do you do? How do you determine what constitutes Male and Female for the purpose of sporting competition?

Of course it is. So-con RWNJs in the US mostly don’t advocate for the extermination of non-straight people in the US for only one reason —- it might scare off the moderate enablers of the GOP agenda.

However, that leaves them free to cheer for and advocate extermination elsewhere in the world, which they do. E.g. the kill the gays bill in Uganda.

Oh, believe me, we do. We’re just not nearly organized enough to do anything about it. It’s funny, though, I remember somewhere around eight or nine years ago having a conversation with a friend and saying “I was a center-right libertarian and woke up one day and realized I’d become a center-left libertarian without really changing any of my positions.” The only real difference is that I trust consolidated power in the private sector much less than I trust consolidated power in the government.

Tensing fired the very second that Dubose turned the ignition key.

Then lied about it.

BTW, I saw something the other day about the toll in deaths, injuries, and property damage from High Speed Chases. Lots of bystanders injured and killed, and most of the chases are related to nonviolent offenses. So, we’re killing and injuring men, women and children to try and catch people who hadn’t/wouldn’t kill or injure anyone.

WAY too much ego and ‘Respect Mah Authoritah!’ in law enforcement these days. Tensing shoots Dubose because he started his car. Sandra Bland ends up dead because she was insufficiently obsequious. Eric Garner choked to death for similar reasons, and lots of innocent bystanders killed for similar reasons.

There has to be some way to screen police officer candidates better, to train them better, and to hold them to a higher standard.

Well, we do live in a world where truth and sticking to reality might just be a losing cause politically in the US. It’s hard to see a solution when ~25% of the US voters have self-propagandzed themselves into perpetual delusions and another ~25% of the US voters think the Democrats are worse than the delusional idiots in the GOP.

BTW, Haaretz (who should know, they’re a bit closer to the scene than we are) says:

One woman was critically wounded, Magen David Adom emergency services reported, adding that two men were moderately wounded, and another two men and a woman suffered light wounds. Magen David Adom emergency services treated the victims on the scene, and then rushed them to three different hospitals in Jerusalem

.

So Stab Guy obviously was able to overcome his religious objections to “touching” women (do knives count?) - and didn’t play favorites.

re: #44 Backwoods_Sleuth

There isn’t a good way to handle this. However, there does has to be some standard or definition of female. I had lots of discussions like this when Michelle Wie tried to play on the PGA Tour, and some idiots wanted men to be able to play on the LPGA Tour. The reason that crossing over is a one way street is that the ladies on the LPGA Tour could not hope to compete against the men. The same thing would happen if you put men in the WNBA (or young players on the senior tour, etc.)
In effect, the “men’s” league (Tour, event, etc) is more of a wide open competition where gender (or age) doesn’t really matter. Females have competed directly with men, and so have old timers (Tom Watson almost won the British Open at the age of 59). There is a good chance, however, that a lousy male golfer would blow the doors off the LPGA. Or if you’re talking track and field, just look at the respective times, distances, etc.
I don’t like it, I don’t have the answer, but there has to be some way to establish the characteristics of the athletes who compete in “women’s” athletic competition.

Interesting. On the one hand there’s the clear evidence in many sports and over decades of recordkeeping that men have a performance advantage over women, and thus we have separate categories for men and women in nearly all sports.

It makes perfect sense.

On the other hand it is clear that what constitutes a woman or a man is not a black and white thing, and that while, for example Dutee Chand may have an advantage in one area due to higher natural testosterone levels, other athletes have other advantages that are also natural.

Simple. You get rid of the male/female category’s. You judge the participants on their ability, not their sex. Those who can’t compete and win in one class move down to a lower class and the converse if you compete and consistently win in one class, move up to a higher class.

Very interesting. I was not aware that the flavors of libertarianism included a version more concerned about consolidation of power in the private sector than in government.

” The only real difference is that I trust consolidated power in the private sector much less than I trust consolidated power in the government.

Consolidated power is never to be trusted regardless of it’s nature, private, or government. Checks and balances have been the sole demonstrable factor to avoid abuse and excess. This is government, private, NGO, military, it’s all just us people. With all our interests, foibles and vulnerabilites.

One of the great political lies is that government or private sectors are inherently more honest or less subject to abuse. This falsehood is reinforced by party ideological propaganda over decades. This is also true of the parties. Policy matters logos don’t. If someone registered ne into the GOP I would be the same person as I am today. Policy and advocacy matter a great deal. Labels? Pfft.

It all has to change. I believe they are being trained to behave this way. They are fearful people on a power trip.

History tells us pretty clearly, especially in the US, that the choice is between corporate power and government power. The withering away of the US regulatory state to end up with a libertarian utopia is just as farcical as the withering away of the dictatorship of the proletariat in classical Marxism, so I can’t take it seriously.

That said, it does make sense to have a moderate level of skepticism for government power, to ensure that on balance the laws/regulations do more good than harm.

I’m curious how many libertarians are NOT white, straight males. It seems to me that growing up with the maximum level pf privilege would tend to make you see many of the actions of government in trying to level the playing field as unnecessary interference, whereas if you grew up on the other side of privilege you are much more likely to see how the absence of government intervention makes for a system very much rigged to keep the ones with the power in power.

Phrases like “better than break even” or “I want a Lamborghini” are becoming similar memes, used as shorthand for a narrative about the cynical, smirking evil of Planned Parenthood—even if, in context, they don’t necessarily support that narrative. And as they harden into memes, they become resistant to debate and questioning. Since we’ve already accepted the intent of the meme, the portrayal of Planned Parenthood as cold-blooded organ-selling baby killers, then anyone who questions the meme must be defending baby-killers, right? So why should we listen to him? In this way, the meme itself functions to invalidate any criticism or analysis of it.

An awful lot of our public debate looks exactly like this.

The problem with memifying the abortion debate is not just that it prevents us from an accurate evaluation of the facts. It’s that it usually fails to make converts. Memes carry meaning to those who are aware of and sympathetic to the story behind them—but not for those who disagree. I suspect my pro-life friends and colleagues are going to be disappointed, over the long term, with the diminishing returns as the self-styled Center for Medical Progress produces more videos using the exact same techniques. And they will be disappointed by how little this whole controversy is going to move the abortion debate a year or two from now.

I think it would be very productive to have a debate about abortion and to reason carefully through the moral and philosophical rationales on either side. But we need to start from a common ground of scrupulously accurate facts, rather than letting our perspectives harden into warring memes that prevent thinking rather than stimulating it.

That may be. But why should a woman be denied the chance to try to beat those records?

Are you advocating that we should only have one set of records, then?

I’m trying to understand, because the end result of what you seem to be advocating for is that very, very, very few women have the opportunity to compete at the highest levels, if any. You don’t seem to think this matters, as long as women might have the chance. I don’t follow how this is better for women.

re: #131 Bubblehead II

I will have to respectfully disagree with you on this then. I personally believe that women who have the ability, will, and training, to compete with men, should be given the chance to do so . They will either succeed or fail based upon their abilities, not their (arbitrarily assigned) sex.

re: #135 klys (maker of Silmarils)

There’s an awful lot of Olympic records that suggest otherwise.

A quick check of Track and Field World Records confirms this. The record 100 meter time for women is 10.49 seconds. It was set in 1988, and no woman has turned in a faster time since. That time had been surpassed by 1921 in the mens’ competition, and the record now stands at 9.58 seconds.

In the 2012 Olympics, all 23 semifinalists in the Mens’ 100 Meters was under 10.31, with the winning time being 9.63. The fastest woman in history would not have been able to compete with the slowest of the semifinalists.

So, yeah, it’s great to say they should be allowed to compete, but if we did away with the two classes, in most sports there would never be a woman on the podium, and most of the female athletes we celebrate today would be far down in the ‘also rans’.

This kinda gets back to my “different but equal” philosophy when it comes to the biological genders: Men and women are different, physically. Also somewhat true mentally, and certainly emotionally as well. We’re all the same species and we should be equal partners in relationships and have equal standing in life, but men and women are not biologically identical creatures.

I wonder if any of the wingnuts have gotten a hold of this yet.

In 1988, the Reagan administration began a moratorium on fetal tissue from elective abortions being used in scientific research. But Congress lifted that ban in 1993 when it passed the National Institutes of Health Revitalization Act, which allowed research on human fetal tissue regardless of whether the tissue came from a voluntary abortion. McConnell voted for that bill, as did Reps. Lamar Smith (R-Texas) and Fred Upton (R-Mich.), all of whom have condemned Planned Parenthood in the past two weeks for its involvement in the practice.

To be fair, she’s not denied the chance to beat those records. If a woman can run a 9.57 second 100 meter dash, she’d get the record.

But if all women were forced to try and beat what are now the mens’ records, you’d never hear of them.

What I am advocating for is gender neutrality. If an individual has the physical capability to participate in a sporting event, REGARDLESS OF SEX they should be allowed to. Their standing in that sport shall be determined by what they can actually do. If they exceed the class they are in, they move up to the next class. Nothing more, nothing less.

Donald Trump, who’s polling at the head of the 2016 Republican primary pack, has finally decided to hire a national political director.

The media mogul’s presidential campaign announced Thursday that it had hired Michael Glassner for the job.

“Michael is responsible for developing and implementing a national political plan and will oversee strategic planning operations nationwide on behalf of Donald J. Trump for President,” Trump’s campaign said in a statement.

In the 2008 cycle, Glassner served as a top aide to Sarah Palin on Sen. John McCain’s presidential campaign. He’s also a former aide to former Kansas Sen. Bob Dole, and in the 2000 presidential campaign cycle he served on the Bush-Cheney campaign as an adviser in Iowa.

I think it would be very productive to have a debate about abortion and to reason carefully through the moral and philosophical rationales on either side. But we need to start from a common ground of scrupulously accurate facts, rather than letting our perspectives harden into warring memes that prevent thinking rather than stimulating it.

I’m usually in favor of philosophical debates as opposed to political screaming matches, but I’m not sure a real debate is to be had regarding abortion laws.

I really think this comes down to a conflict in axioms taken by the opposing sides that there is no way to resolve by discussion. One side is horrified by the notion of legally coerced pregnancy. The other side is horrified by the termination of what it regards as human life and seeks to prevent this with force of law.

First, I don’t deny them the right to compete against men, so please don’t accuse me of that. I think that if a woman wants to try competing in the Mens’ category of any sport, she should be allowed to, and I think that any man who wants to compete in the Womens’ category should be told to fuck off.

Second, in sports where you compete against the clock, or for distance thrown, or weight lifted etc., women in a sense already compete against the men. The stopwatch doesn’t care who’s running in that lane. The weight doesn’t care who lifts it. The shot doesn’t care who puts it.

You need to understand that women are CONSTANTLY trying to beat that time and they’re running on the same tracks, on the same days. If any woman currently competing COULD beat 10.49, she would have already. Nothing, apart from ability, is preventing anyone from doing so.

There are a lot of different strains of libertarianism (which is why you can’t get two libertarians to agree on much of anything). Some of it is based on anti-authoritarianism. Some of it is arcane notions of what constitutes property rights and what not. Here’s a decent primer on it. (that’s to wikipedia but it’s at least a decent jumping off point).

I’ve always found this a useful guide.

The problem is that the ‘libertarian’s’ and the Marxists ascribe ethical qualities to tools. Generally one side thinks that government is evil and capitalism is good while the other thinks the opposite.

Ascribing ethical qualities to tools is a big mistake. It means a person (or society) can’t use a tool when it should be used and will use it when they shouldn’t. It’s like trying to walk one-legged. You can do it for a while but it won’t be long before you topple over.

Twitter has opened the curtains imo.

The public hears about these shootings without having to rely on the police reporting them.

The attitude has changed, though. Cops did not look and act like post apocalyptic dystopian nightmare shock troops in the 1970’s. The “Warrior Ethos” and “We are the sheepdogs” bullshit is all within the last 15 years. The SWAT proliferation began in the mid 80’s. Then, of course, you also had the infamous “Broken Windows” essay that produced the insane over-policing of minority communities.

I agree that LE attitudes towards minorities have been fairly consistent over the last 100 years, but the military weapons, para military training and increasing aggression have been relatively recent.

It’s also worth remembering who it was who designed most of the sports - Men. We designed them to show off the abilities in which men tend to exceed women - strength, speed, stamina. Even most agility sports depend on strength and speed.

So, we kinda cheated there.

You do run into some problems here. When the Olympics first started genetic testing of atheletes during the Atlanta Games, they discovered a couple of AIS women…women who have secondary female characteristics (female facial features, voice, breasts and a vaginal canal) but have no actual female reproductive organs and in fact, have an XY chromosome.

Yes, they are technically males although it is utterly insane to really classify them as men. AIS women typically tend to be somewhat tall and thin, and several have had succesful careers as runway models.

Gender can be really, really weird…and people with ambiguous genitals are about one in a thousand, which is enough that it will definitely keep coming up in sports.

O/T

I have been having one hell of a fight with UBER over my car, which is a very nice 2009 Pontiac G6.

It seems autocheck (which I had never heard of before last week) claims the car was sold at auction with frame damage back in 2011. Carfax has no such claim (which is the database we saw when we bought the car).

Neither carfax nor autozone mention any accidents, but UBER is demanding I stop driving 3 weeks from now or buy another car…which they are happy to help me do through one of their “partners” of course.

I just had the car inspected for frame damage and of course, there isn’t a damned thing wrong with the car. However, for evidence I can take to court, I would have to spend 250 dollars to put the car on a rack and be scanned by a laserlock system which can detect variences below what human eyes or handheld instruments can detect.

Then, I would have to get a lawyer and go after autocheck, which will likely take a year or longer. Not likely I can get a lawyer to go on contingency.

UBER refuses to communicate on the merits of whether there ever was anything wrong. Since UBER refuses to have any person to person contact and has no listed phone numbers of any sort, you have to rely on email, most of which goes to India and the Phillipines and where the operators are also poorly paid “contracters” who use cut and paste reply methods.

Seventy five cents a fucking mile is not worth this, but I am signing onto the class action lawsuit.

I think that UBER’s business model can work and it would be really cool if an ethical company that actually gave a shit about drivers and customers could break into the market.

UBER is not that company.

The public hears about these shootings without having to rely on the police reporting them.

Also there weren’t as many cameras around, which made it easier for cops to lie about shootings.

re: #151 Bubblehead II

That may be. But why should a woman be denied the chance to try to beat those records?

Its not a matter of denying them the chance. They simply can’t; they have already reached the outer limits of what they are physically capable of, and the same is true of men.

230
Blind Frog Belly White  Jul 30, 2015 • 5:25:22pm

The problem I have with Uber and such is that their business model depends on undercutting the already existing services by avoiding the costs those services have. There’s a reason why taxi and limousine services are pretty heavily regulated, and why there are requirements for licensing, insurance, etc. If you don’t have to meet those requirements, it’s a lot cheaper, but with a big potential downside.

So you would deny them the right to compete against men if they had the desire to do so? You don’t think a woman can overcome and beat that time? Neighbor, you seriously understate the capabilities of the females of our species.

No, its pretty well established through thousands of races over decades what the outer limit of the speeds both men and women can achieve.

Has a great risk-management model. They manage, you risk.

The revenue model is also nearly ideal —- the drivers make less than they think because large parts of the total cost of driving aren’t explicit costs like gas and insurance, while the managers skim a big slice of the total revenues for themselves.

I’d like to see Uber go down in flames. There should be more efficient ways of obliging taxicab companies to do their jobs properly in cases where they have gotten lazy because their regulation effectively prevents competition.

Taxi driver is one of the most dangerous jobs in the country. Uber makes sure the driver eats the consequences.

re: #217 Aunty Entity Dragon

From my experience dealerships opt out of reporting to Carfax. They’ll provide the carfax on the used car you buy, but if the owner got some damaged repaired at the dealer, it wasn’t reported.

My instinct is that the specific people don’t really make a big difference here. The Uber business model is intrinsically a douchebag business model.

There’s no way to pretty up the basic idea of dodging costs that have been imposed by society on the business of providing rides for hire.

Autocheck doesn’t report any accidents. however. The auctioner made a bullshit frame damage report (probably on a lot of several vehicles) to cover his ass on liability down the road.

If there was damage, somebody did an amazing job of fixing it to look factory issued. Not impossible (hence the suggestion to get a laserlock scan for definitive proof), but with no accident reports, no evidence of damage and no hint in our driving expereince in a year and a half that there are any issues…I will go out on a limb here and say that the car was not damaged.

It’s also worth remembering who it was who designed most of the sports - Men. We designed them to show off the abilities in which men tend to exceed women - strength, speed, stamina. Even most agility sports depend on strength and speed.

So, we kinda cheated there.

The history of Title IX in the US in regards to college sports also indicates that while a truly level playing field would be ideal we are not ready to go there yet.

Yeah, but Uber’s business model also, seems to be based, in part, on utilizing misleading PR (advertising) to gloss over the negatives (what a surprise!). Here in the NY media market, we’ve been barraged with TV ads for Uber - all stressing nice looking, “ordinary” folks (women and POC) happy as clams to finally get ride service in their “outlying” areas - and specifically bashing Mayor Bill de Blasio for caving to his “millionaire taxi-owner donors” in (AFAICT) not letting Uber operate unchecked in NYC.

Now there’s certainly several grains of truth in their claims : prejudicial pickup practices, outer-borough unavailability, corruption in the industry: all of that stuff is old news to New Yorkers: but the Uber model is hardly a panacea. Yes, having to rely on yellow/green cabs or black car services for road transit is very often a PITA: but the notion that the best alternative is just some guy with a car and a cellphone app is dubious, to say the least.

The availibility issue can be real enough (I actually get a lot of calls to the poorer east end of Greensboro, and I take a lot of folks to and from work).

However.

The UBER model supposedly just links drivers and riders and does not manipulate the market environment.

Bullshit. I saw reports two days ago that UBERX drivers like me in Texas were all blacklisted out of the app at a concert while UBER LIMO and UBER SUV all were prioritized to do surge pickups.

I know that I sat for three hours (midnight to 3 AM)in the middle of downtown Greensboro on the night of July 4…the second highest traffic night of the year and I didn’t get one fucking call while taxis were so thick they actually could not to or from the clubs. Blacklisting is real if you are UBERX…and connecting the nearest rider to the rider is bullshit. I get connected real quick if the rider is on the “bad side of town”. I don’t get a damned thing if the rider is 30 feet away but it’s a popular club night.

I missed one of my favorite episodes from the novels, Tom B. rescuing the hobbits from the barrow-wight, not being in the first movie, but that would have meant including Tom, so I don’t mind it not being in the movie. ;-)

I’m sure Peter Jackson is even now in the middle of turning the missing Tom B. stuff into a three-part, 9-hour sfx extravaganza. Because his take on The Hobbit was just too modest and subtle.

(Since I’m already posting late responses…)

That is awesome.

Kind of thing that makes you want to go Canadian. (Looks around the forlorn swamp and its battleflags.)

Tom Bombadil’s adventures would take more than that, I would imagine. Some folks peg him as a Maia “gone native”, although his exact nature seems unknowable.

I always thought Tom B. was a very curious character, and one that left questions in my brain. That he handled the ring, wasn’t affected by it, and as Gandolf said “it would be of no interest to him, and he might well lose it” (or something like that).

It was the overpass honors on the Highway of Heroes that did it for me. And we still owe them a drink for the embassy hostage stunt.

Believe it or not - I know Mike Vederman, from back in the Atari developer days. We were sort of semi-friendly rivals.

Please, please, please let them try.

(The new format is really much better, especially after I occulted the right third of the screen with duct tape. Used coppertone, to get a nice steampunk vibe.)

re: #165 Eric The Fruit Bat

These clowns have no idea. The miscarriage rates alone are staggering, and now some of these political yahoos want to force that upon a miscarriage to have the government issue a “Certificate of Live Death”. WTF?

It’s the “you have a murderous uterus” syndrome that is prevalent among the more extreme nut cases on the Right. It’s just another form of the blatant attack on women they so love. Why did you miscarry? What did you do wrong? Should we open a murder investigation?

I’ll believe they believe it when every miscarriage gets a Christian burial in their churches. Little tiny (generally empty) micro-coffins (I didn’t grab the kitchen strainer when I started cramping! I wasn’t even sure I was pregnant with God’s gift!). Demands for tax breaks for the children that have been tragically lost.

Most fertilized ovum either don’t properly implant or are spontaneously aborted (“miscarriage” is another euphemism, that subtly blames the woman, not a medical term) during the first trimester.

It logically follows that God is the biggest abortionist in the cosmos, not Planned Parenthood.

Gasp!

I don’t understand why there’s men’s and women’s badminton. And table tennis.

Height and arm span is a factor in both sports.

Ah, the good old Gamergate excuse, “obviously they hacked themselves”. Good to see that’s apparently just a general right wing excuse, and not something specific to them.
