Anti-Choice Fanatics Used Fake California IDs to Film Planned Parenthood - Now We Have Proof

Fighting back against the smear merchants
Politics • Views: 75,507

Today the National Abortion Foundation filed suit against the anti-choice fanatics behind the Orwellian “Center for Medical Progress,” seeking a temporary restraining order and injunction to prevent them from releasing any video of NAF meetings.

The lawsuit names CMP as a defendant as well as BioMax Procurement Services, the fake company created in order to deceive people working for Planned Parenthood and other organizations. CMP’s leader, David Daleiden, is also named in the lawsuit, as well as founding member Troy Newman, who is the president of the radical anti-choice organization Operation Rescue.

When questioned about his involvement with CMP, Newman told RH Reality Check that he was proud of the work Daleiden has done at CMP.

“Over the past three years I have offered advice and counsel to someone who has become a very good friend,” Newman said via email. “But this is just the beginning, we have moles and spies deep inside the abortion cartel. And at a time of our choosing, we will release more damning evidence of the abortion cartel’s illegal, ghastly, and repugnant butchery.”

In other news, the Huffington Post published images of the fake California driver’s licenses used by these activists, seen above (click to enlarge).

Using a fake driver’s license in this way is definitely illegal in California, and may be either a misdemeanor or a felony depending on the circumstances.

The anti-abortion activists who gained access to highly sensitive areas of Planned Parenthood clinics and other related organizations over the past three years are facing at least two lawsuits after they allegedly used fake identification cards and created a fake company in order to film their targets without consent.

Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation claim that David Daleiden, the founder of Center for Medical Progress, used a fake ID displaying the name “Robert Daoud Sarkis” to circumvent their security precautions and gain access to the groups’ annual meetings and facilities.

The CMP has released four videos so far — and claims to have many more on the way — that show Planned Parenthood doctors discussing reimbursement costs for the donation of fetal parts for medical research. In the first video, a woman, who is yet to be identified, can be heard speaking to Planned Parenthood doctor Deborah Nucatola. That woman apparently used a fake ID with the name “Susan Sarah Tennenbaum.”

UPDATE at 7/31/15 5:29:08 pm by Charles Johnson

Good news: the NAF got their restraining order and injunction against the Center for Medical Progress.

Laws and ethics don’t apply to these people. They’re above all of that because their message, even though it’s distorted and dishonest, is too important to be inconvenienced by laws or decent behavior.

I’m not totally familiar with the American justice system, I’m Dutch, but now that the CMP is caught using fake ID’s is it also so that any evidence they gathered for their case against PP inadmissible in a federal court?

If that’s the case than PP will have no difficulty riding out this storm since none of the video can be used.

Using a fake driver’s license in this way is definitely illegal in California, and may be either a misdemeanor or a felony depending on the circumstances.

We are dealing with outright fascists here. They care nothing for the rule of law, let alone for the time honored rules of civilized discourse. They also care nothing for the moral standards of their own alleged religion, which holds that false witness is a grievous sin. They would cheerfully incite and sanction murder if it advances their purpose. That purpose, in turn, is nothing less than a revival of feudalism.

Now that wingnut rage has been sufficiently stoked by the video, I suspect that the next step will be a violent attack on an abortion clinic. There have been bombings and individual shootings outside the clinics, but they may aim next for a mass casualty event involving their own demonstrators. For example, this could be a shooting attack that would catch anti-choice demonstrators in the crossfire so they could become martyrs.

One small correction in your statement.

They already do incite and sanction murder when it advances their purpose.
Case in point - convicted murderer Scott Roeder actively recruiting like-minded individuals from prison while coordinating with militant anti-abortion groups (some of whom are part of this so-called Planned Parenthood “expose”).

This takes me back to my university days. I went with a buddy of mine to an on-campus abortion debate. He made his way to the microphone to ask questions, and let something similar fly.

He offered 100 dollars of his own money to either of the pro-life reps if they would come to one of the labs, and identify the human from a line-up of other species at similar stages of development.

Things were calm, then he asked two questions that will stick in my mind till I die. “Are you saying you can’t tell the difference between a human and a marmot? Are you trying to pedal BULLSHIT emotion as science?”

The mike was cut, and he was thrown out. It took days for the smile to leave his face.

My mother’s side of the family is populated with wingnuts. My new step-father at Christmas in 2013 finally sold his home in Maryland. He was going on and on about how that damn Obama wasn’t going to get any of his money because he avoided the “Obamacare real estate tax” that was going into effect on New Years Day, 2014. My Wingnut Bullshit Detector sirens went off like a five-alarm fire and I immediately googled “ACA real estate tax” on my phone. The top hit came from that socialist, collectivist, anti-corporate rag website called Forbes which said, while true, the tax is exempt on the first million in capital gains, you have to have an annual salary of over (I think) 500K a year, etc. In other words, he was clearly exempt. But the best part was that he never would’ve avoided any tax if he had qualified because the tax went into effect New Year’s Day…in 2013. I never mentioned any of this to him because I wanted him to keep living the dream.

Not only that, but fundies want people to suffer, because, in fundies’ minds, suffering moves the unbelievers closer to Christ.

That’s the only real thing I can think it could be for and it’s real fucked up.

I think its even more primitive and brutal than that. Wingnuts want other people to suffer as proof that God hates the others and loves the wingnuts.

Nowhere is this more clear than the facts that wingnuts want to put an abortion ban into place, and enacting an abortion ban will lead to deaths and injuries from illegal abortions. Such casualties among ‘uppity women’ as a result of an abortion ban aren’t a regrettable side effect of the ban —- they are the entire point of the ban.

I worked with a woman who was once very active in the forced birth movement. Picketed at PP sites, did volunteer work for anti-choice organizations, etc.

She had an epiphany at one of the demonstrations. Realizing that many of the patients showed obvious signs of poverty and dire straits, she turned to several other protesters (who had arrived in fancy new cars) and asked why they weren’t offering help instead of insults. The responses made her realize they didn’t care about the women, rather just telling the women what to do.

She left the movement. Then adopted a “crack baby” which involved a difficult legal process (for a single woman). Has been an amazing mom despite many medical issues with her son.

When she calls herself pro-life I can respect that. Most other folks claiming the label are hypocrites.

Trump, the GOP presidential hopeful who has dominated the headlines in recent weeks, is well ahead with 26% support among Republicans. Walker, the Wisconsin governor best known for standing up to labor unions in his state, runs second with 14% support. Bush, a former Florida governor and the third member of his family to seek the presidency, is the first choice of 10%.

What in Sweet Robot Jesus’s name is wrong with Republicans? They’ve officially become a caricature of themselves.

I read his new steaming turd at TakiMag. I’ll summarize: Cuckservatives are conservatives who don’t think and act like me and my new media cohorts. We get shit done on the cheap while cuckservatives spend millions getting nothing done. I’ve done all kinds of cool shit. I’m the best. Cuckservatives need to realize this or bye-bye America.

In the spirit of fighting fire with fire, my humble resources to do an honest video about PP are available. Humble as in I’m small time. But I do have a number of good cameras, an experienced crew and some studio city friends. PP did us well back when. So I’ll just put it out there. With some collaboration or help I’d love to do a push back “stand for Planned Parenthood” piece.

Too big for me. I am also aware that their workers are mostly great hearted minimum wage workers. Would not want to talk to them alone.

Maybe a reach out to the local PP & ask what you can do? I HOPE they have a national response/plan for media.

Or, as it’s known in the UK “rocket”.

I have no idea why.

“Eruca” is the Latin word, and it’s from the Mediterranean, so the name probably came in with the plant. The English word is changed less than Italian “arugula”, which seems to have a diminutive ending tacked on.

Can’t think that way. They need to lose by so much, that they actually become irrelevant. Just not irrelevant in our eyes. No more giving an inch.

They wrecked a LOT of cars.

They contributed quite a bit to saving Chrysler—they bought a lot of those old full-size Dodges they couldn’t give away otherwise.

Too sane. This is going to be the Mary Mapes version of events. We’re talking kaiju.

Gonzo Rathergate? I’d think Tom Savini, or even Cheech Marin. Harvey Keitel is too old IMO, but he could definitely do crazy too.

Too big for me too in some ways. Of course they do have their own PR but sometimes a independent efforts get a little more credibility. I think the parts I’m missing now are a couple interviews with PP folks interspersed with families that got help. That I might be able to pull off. In this environment I need something a little stronger than all that even with clever editing etc. Old school says celebrity endorsements maybe a little like what we saw Jack Black in on the Iran deal. How to get signal up above all the noise? That’s the thing.

I just don’t happen to have those phone numbers.
