Glenn Beck Is Embarrassed He Supported Her: “Sarah Palin Has Become a Clown”

Sure, Donald Trump is horrible. But you have to admit his candidacy is leading to some fantastic inadvertent right wing comedy; moments like this.

“I’m going to say it,” Beck declared, “I don’t care what Sarah Palin says any more. Sarah Palin has become a clown. I’m embarrassed that I was once for Sarah Palin. Honestly, I’m embarrassed.”

“I don’t know who she is any more, I don’t know what she stands for,” Beck continued. “I saw a clip of her talking to Donald Trump. What the hell is that? I don’t even know who she is any more … Don’t care. I don’t care.”

It’s sad when clowns fight.

Like he’s much better. It’s funny to me when Beck acts like he’s the serious ones and it’s the others that have gone(they’ve been nuts) nuts. I don’t understand why Becky boy hates Trump though.

In terms of demographics, Trump’s supporters are a bit older, less educated and earn less than the average Republican. Slightly over half are women. About half are between 45 and 64 years of age, with another 34 percent over 65 years old and less than 2 percent younger than 30. One half of his voters have a high school education or less, compared to 19 percent with a college or post-graduate degree. Slightly over a third of his supporters earn less than $50,000 per year, while 11 percent earn over $100,000 per year. Definitely not country club Republicans, but not terribly unusual either.

Hey Glenn, want to know who else is a clown? Got a mirror?

Damn, this Trump thing is working out okay. Just about every RWNJ and GOP politician is fighting with all the other RWNJs and GOP politicians.

Hmmm. I wonder what would be a good additive accelerant to introduce to this process to help speed this up?

Governor Fuckface fellates Reagan (again) on his tour of stupidity.

Scott Walker pledges to take on federal unions on Day 1 as president

Standing on the stage where Ronald Reagan “found his voice,” Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker sought to find his own Thursday as he promised to repeat his actions in Wisconsin by taking down federal workers’ unions on his first day in the White House.

Hoping to restart a stalled campaign, the GOP governor came here to the alma mater of his political idol and debuted a new stump speech before next week’s Republican presidential debate.

“On Monday, I will travel to Las Vegas to lay out our big, bold ideas to transfer power from the big government union bosses to the hardworking taxpayers,” Walker said. “For example, on day one, I will stop the government from taking money out of the paychecks of federal employees for political union dues. That protects workers from being forced to give money to candidates they don’t support.”

Especially when I think that, for all intensive surfaces, where we were fighting for our freedom like Jonah and the whale. True but as I said, I think his problem with her via Trump is that he doesn’t think Trump is a real conservative which is exactly the line of play that his opponents have been going after him with. He may also be seeing that Trump sometimes has moments of clarity like telling Davis to do her job or when Trump actually didn’t demonize PP.

He also knows how pathetic it is to compare a decision that forbade slaves from becoming free upon a master’s death if moved to a non-slave state to a decision that allows gays to enjoy the same equality under the law. Taxpayers Have Spent A ‘Staggering’ Amount Of Money On NFL Stadiums

When the NFL season kicks off Thursday night in New England, football fans will file into a stadium built with $72 million in taxpayer money. Compared to fans in other NFL cities, residents of Foxboro, Massachusetts, can thank their team for giving them a bargain.

Taxpayers have spent nearly $3 billion on the 16 stadiums that will host NFL games during the season’s opening weekend, according to figures in a new analysis from the Taxpayers Protection Alliance, a Washington, D.C-based conservative nonprofit group.

All told, 29 of the NFL’s 31 stadiums have received public funds for construction or renovation. In the last two decades, the analysis found, taxpayers across the country have spent nearly $7 billion on stadiums for a league that surpassed $10 billion in revenue last season.

Taxpayers Have Spent A ‘Staggering’ Amount Of Money On NFL Stadiums

Hell, we built them a domed stadium, spent $50 million fixing the roof when it started falling, then a year or so later, blew it up and built them a stadium with a retractable roof—after voting it down twice. Also a baseball park. And gutted the Coliseum to turn it into a basketball arena—upon which the team left town.

Cleveland Browns fans got the screwing of their lives when they wanted a new stadium and team. Bad enough that the “Browns” who were renamed the Ravens, won a Stupor Bowl a few years later. So you owned, or your family owned, season tickets for a generation? Well, bubby, you have to pony up a Personal Seat License fee of anywhere up to 1800 bucks, just to purchase the same seats you had forever. Still a fan? That and the sin taxes levied in Cuyahoga county remain in place today for other sports stadiums and facilities.. Other cities did it too. And people stand in line to get hosed at every game to this day.

Doesn’t alter the fact that the Serbian government was responsible for WWI, and Saudi Arabia was responsible for 9/11. And they both got other people punished for their crime—Germany and Iraq respectively.

Actually, Yertle is probably right - technically: the anti-deal lobby has spent so much time and money demonizing the whole thing (and, almost incidentally, the entire concept of “diplomatic engagement”) that the latest (last) US poll showed some ridiculous level of opposition; which might be more impressive, IMO, if more people actually had read about the JCPOA and its provisions, but then again…

The Iran deal probably had a LESSER level of opposition in Israel….

Kaine is personally anti-DP(he’s a devout Catholic) but as a candidate he agreed to enforce Va’s laws on capital punishment and abortion (which he is also personally opposed to). Anyhow, Jerry Kilgore, the then state AG who funnily enough if you heard him you would think of Lindsay did an ad with a man whose son had been murdered and the man said that Tim Kaine would have basically been okay with Nazi war criminals getting off. Not surprisingly, Kaine won pretty big. He’s a good guy. In more interesting (to me anyway) news today, this paper was published:

Homo naledi, a new species of the genus Homo from the Dinaledi Chamber, South Africa

Homo naledi is a previously-unknown species of extinct hominin discovered within the Dinaledi Chamber of the Rising Star cave system, Cradle of Humankind, South Africa. This species is characterized by body mass and stature similar to small-bodied human populations but a small endocranial volume similar to australopiths. Cranial morphology of H. naledi is unique, but most similar to early Homo species including Homo erectus, Homo habilis or Homo rudolfensis. While primitive, the dentition is generally small and simple in occlusal morphology. H. naledi has humanlike manipulatory adaptations of the hand and wrist. It also exhibits a humanlike foot and lower limb. These humanlike aspects are contrasted in the postcrania with a more primitive or australopith-like trunk, shoulder, pelvis and proximal femur. Representing at least 15 individuals with most skeletal elements repeated multiple times, this is the largest assemblage of a single species of hominins yet discovered in Africa.

It is strange that Republican magnanimity so often manifests itself as killing others and/or making them second class citizens if extermination is politically impossible.

Perhaps someday a GOP apologist will provide a satisfactory explanation for this apparent contradiction.

It’s hard to believe they have so little self-awareness that they tweet stupid crap like this.

Hell, just look at what the GOP Senators were saying on the Senate floor before and, especially after, the vote.
Repeating debunked lie after lie after lie.

I am craving some mac-n-cheese from a local gourmet mac-n-cheese place near me. The problem is:

A) I know the calorie count
B) I know the amount of fat
C) I have 5 lbs to go in this cut to get to the weight I want to be

Those are the 3 reasons I don’t go there after work and devour a large order.

I remember Coomassie staining and destaining protein gels. The solution was a combination of water, Methanol and Acetic Acid, and we’d microwave it to get the process to go faster. Smelled like grape soda.

I did my 33 minutes of torture in the morning when it was only (only, hah) 84.

Tomorrow it will probably be 48 minutes so I am desperately hoping it’s cooler.

The poor home inspection guy was up on the roof earlier and then the attic and is now in the crawlspace. But at least our AC is working so he’s able to come in and take a break where it is cool.

Except for when we had to turn on the furnace for him to test that.

It’s been too hot to make dinner for the last two nights. Even too hot to grill.

Tuesday was ‘Happy Hour Night’ - cheese, crackers, bread, salami, olives, and apples, washed down with lots of liquid. Last night was ‘Chips & Dip Night’, with tortilla chips, salsa, 5-layer dip and a lot of salad. Also washed down with lots of liquid.

I hope tonight’s not that bad, but it may be a day or so more before I’ll want to fire up the stove and add to the heat already in the house.

OT: WTF? In 2001 this guy shoots a Muslim guy outside a mosque, leaving him with a spinal injury that keeps him in a wheelchair for a year and a half. He’s charged with attempted murder, assault and weapons offenses. In 2004, three years later, he pleads guilty to assault, is found not criminally responsible, and is committed to the state psych hospital. By 2006 he’s back out.

Six years later, in 2012, he walks into a church and shoots the prayer leader dead. Again three years later, he’s finally going to court, but this time has been deemed competent to stand trial. If they don’t put him away for a good long time, he’s gonna be right back out shooting up places of worship again, and next time it could be a major massacre.
