Cyberstalker Chuck C. Johnson Claims Congressional Staffers Leaked Planned Parenthood Videos to Him

Inviting an investigation
WTF • Views: 55,054

Cyberstalker and discredited right wing blogger Chuck C. Johnson (who is NOT ME) announced last night on his Facebook page that Congressional staffers have leaked all the Planned Parenthood “sting” videos recorded by the Center for Medical Progress to him, and that he plans to post them at his blog. Screenshots:

Since we know beyond a doubt that Johnson is a blatant liar (among other things, he’s posted that I have AIDS and the medication I take affects my mind — an ugly falsehood he completely made up out of his twisted imagination), it’s very possible that if he actually does have the videos, they were given to him by his long-time friend David Daleiden, head of the Center for Medical Progress, as an end run around the restraining orders and other rulings issued by courts against the group. This would certainly be consistent with their usual methods of operation.

But by openly flouting the law and announcing that Congressional staffers leaked the videos to him, Johnson is asking for a subpoena and investigation; and if it’s true that congressional staffers handed the videos to him, this would put them in legal jeopardy as well.

Chuck Johnson has been walking the tightrope for a long time, but he’s now crossing the line into serious illegal activity.

How much of this is clickbait? How much of this is him thinking he’s really got the videos? And how much of this is false bravado once prosecutors get around to him once they realize that he indeed has videos obtained via leaks from Congress in violation of existing court orders against their release.

And this will require not a local yokel from MO, but a seasoned criminal defense attorney since he’d be looking at serious charges and time in prison at the maximum, and a grilling worth of ignorant and spiteful trolls.

No, Salon, the memos are fake fakety fake fake fake

“We actually did find typewriters that did have the superscripts, did have proportional spacing, and on the fonts, given that these are copies, it’s really hard to say,” Missal said. “But there were some typewriters that looked like they could have some similar fonts there, so the initial concerns didn’t seem as though they would hold up.”

THERE WAS NO TYPEWRITER IN THE 1970’S THAT COULD PERFECTLY MATCH MICROSOFT WORD DEFAULT SETTINGS.

Pretty the one we can rule out is: the materials that go up are authentic, unedited presentation of information.

Pretty much everything else is up for grabs: Chuck’s got nothing; Chuck cobbled some shit together himself; someone else cobbled shit together; his CMP buddies are using him to dump new material they fabbed; a wingnut staffer actually leaked more of existing CMP materials.

So the situation is a Choose-Your-Own-Adventure of “what kind of fake shit are the wingnuts buying and selling today?”

28
dholmes32  Oct 19, 2015 • 11:35:24am

Has anyone dropped a dime to the National Abortion Federation re Chuck’s claims? Their attorneys might want to hail him in for a deposition at minimum, since Daleiden and the “Center for Medical Progress” are currently under a court order not to release any more videos and to turn over what they have to NAF.

And it’s a civil case, Chuckles couldn’t take the 5th. Please, o please give Chucky a bad few days or weeks…

‘That scares the hell out of me’: a throwback to Chicago police abuse with a post-9/11 feel

The Chicago police department operates an off-the-books interrogation compound, rendering Americans unable to be found by family or attorneys while locked inside what lawyers say is the domestic equivalent of a CIA black site.

The facility, a nondescript warehouse on Chicago’s west side known as Homan Square, has long been the scene of secretive work by special police units. Interviews with local attorneys and one protester who spent the better part of a day shackled in Homan Square describe operations that deny access to basic constitutional rights.

How long, if not already before innocent Muslims are in there. Subject to institutionalized prejudice and fear? I think I’m late to this one, sorry if so.

re: #29 Great White Snark

I saw that earlier via Twitter, and I have to wonder, why it takes The Guardian to uncover this kind of story? There’s two major Chicago papers - the Sun Times and Tribune, and neither of them went after this? Local tv? Too many cozy sources that might no longer give them the access they need on a day-to-day basis? Would upset the status quo between law enforcement and crime reporting?

Guess I just answered my question…

It’s even mainstream enough that “The Good Wife” (set in Chicago) had a story arc about it last year.

re: #33 Great White Snark

The Guardian has been doing some great coverage of stuff that domestic papers/media hasn’t, including the Ferguson/Baltimore riots/aftermath, etc. Not surprising that they found this going on, but the silence of local media is particularly troubling given that it’s going on in their backyard and they’ve chosen not to report because it might upset their relationship with the law enforcement agencies they report on.

If I recall correctly, the original reporting was from a local Chicago paper.

Per IMDB on The Good Wife episode that aired in May:

As depicted in the episode the Chicago Police Department’s use of a ‘black site’ called Homan Square is actual occurence. A report in the Chicago Guardian in February 2015 stated criminal suspects are held, interrogated and allegedly subjected to physical abuse until they issue a confession. As of the episode’s airing the facility was still apparently in operation.

re: Secret Chicago police site

The story has been covered by both the Sun Times and Tribune in a quick google search, but it comes on the heels of a report by the Guardian. The story had previously appeared this past February.

Not much movement on the report since the February article. Police deny the Guardian reporting.

And those that involve federal courts, perjury, evidence tampering, obstruction of justice, and any number of other federal charges, means that he’s sure to see his name in public view for a good long time to come.
