Chuck C. Johnson Gets Hit With Cease & Desist Letter for “Leaked” Planned Parenthood Videos
Stalker Chuck C. Johnson now has less than 6 hours to file his amended response to Gawker’s motions in the lawsuit he filed, after the judge tossed his entire original 111-page response and all 800 pages of exhibits in the circular file.
But as we reported earlier this week, Chuck has been getting up to even more creepy work lately, claiming that “Congressional staffers” leaked all the Planned Parenthood “sting” videos recorded by the Center for Medical Progress to him, and announcing that he’d be publishing them at his blog. These videos are currently under a temporary restraining order, in a lawsuit against the CMP filed by the National Abortion Federation.
Note that even though Johnson claims “staffers” leaked the videos to him, he’s a long-time friend of Center for Medical Progress leader David Daleiden.
And now Chuck Johnson has announced at his blog that he’s been served with a cease and desist letter from the NAF’s lawyers, warning him that publishing these videos could result in serious legal consequences.
So how did Chuck react to this C&D letter? He published a picture of the letter, (doxing himself in the process because he didn’t redact his address), and he handed all the videos to his neo-Nazi pal Andrew Auernheimer to post them on YouTube and create a torrent. He’s now openly flouting the TRO at his blog, essentially daring the NAF’s lawyers to come at him.
Here’s his post, full of typos and references to himself in third person (and it’s “BREAKING,” of course, like everything he posts at his blog): BREAKING: Here Are All the Unreleased Planned Parenthood Tapes
GotNews has obtained all of the Planned Parenthood tapes but the lawyers representing the National Abortion Federation wants [sic] to censor them and us.
Yesterday we were hit with an unconstitutional demand letter from Morrison & Foerster, the firm representing the National Abortion Federation in its suit against David Daleiden and the Center for Medical Progress.
A person in plain clothes with a gun on his hip also arrived at Charles C. Johnson’s home. Johnson didn’t know who this person was & called the police. The man turns out to have claimed to be a process server and through [sic] the documents down on the ground outside Johnson’s home.
We will continue writing about them as our attorneys inform us that GotNews is not subject to any temporary restraining order concerning David Daleiden. The law firm wants GotNews to turn over all texts, emails with Daleiden. This is easy. There aren’t any.
Johnson also includes the following antisemitic note from neo-Nazi friend Andrew Auernheimer (a guy with a big swastika tattooed on his chest):
“Charles C. Johnson acquired all the Planned Parenthood videos, in defiance of a federal court order to censor them. I’ve put them on YouTube and torrent (please help seed on latter). For those of you that have the stomach for watching hours of very kosher women gleefully discussing baby meat, here’s the YouTube…”
I’m not going to link to the videos here, but I strongly suspect they’re not going to be posted at YouTube for very long.
Chuck concludes his crazed post by boasting:
GotNews will contest any unconstitutional prior restraint of speech all the way to the highest courts in the land.
The National Abortion Federation is now calling for a full Congressional investigation to find out where this leak came from.
The federation called on House Oversight Chairman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah), who had said he would keep the tapes confidential but let both Republicans and Democratic committee members view them, to investigate the leak.
“I think Rep. Chaffetz needs to conduct a full investigation to get to the bottom of whether the leak came from Congress,” federation CEO Vicki Saporta said.
