Ted Cruz’s Father Rafael Cruz: LGBT Community Will ‘Try to Legalize Pedophilia’

GOP demagogue traffics in outrageous lies and bigoted fear-mongering

It really doesn’t matter to these raving loons that there’s absolutely no evidence to support their wild fear-mongering claims; they just keep repeating the lies endlessly: Rafael Cruz: LGBT Community Will ‘Try to Legalize Pedophilia’.

The elder Cruz, who has previously claimed that gay members of the Boy Scots are “potential sexual predators” and criticized gay rights as a demonic, dangerous and anti-American agenda, said in a video posted by Political Research Associates that “the thing that they’re going to push is to try to legalize pedophilia.” He made the comments while speaking to J. Lester Feder of BuzzFeed News, who asked him about similar statements he had made linking the gay rights movement to pedophilia earlier that day.

No, that would be your son’s opponent’s friend, Mr. Duggar. Why don’t you grow the fuck up Rafael and stop lumping gay people in with the pedophila that is rampant in your twisted thing that you call yor religion.

It’s not your fault. We Irish-Americans have had McCarthy, Hannity, O’Reilly, the incoming Speaker, and many others. I choose to think about the good ones. Makes me feel better.

Bad thing about being Irish: There are a hell of a lot of Irish assholes out there. Comes with the fiery temperament.

I agree. I was just laying out today’s game plan. It is mostly to get Ryan elected Speaker. Once that is accomplished, it will be like you said, right back at it.

I think I heard Raul Labrador bitching about what happened today…yesterday. So, there is one of the Freedoms already balking right there.

The only thing that will rid the GOP of the bottom dwellers is loss of seats by vote. And with the way the media and our society views politics today, that is not going to be happening any time soon. Only something dramatic and scary happening in this country will change the current mess.

So, I just clicked over to the American Spectator to see what they think of this. Apparently, one point of contention is that the House reauthorized the Ex-Im Bank. I’m not sure why this is a bad thing, any help? Also, Ryan is already a terrible RINO who must be stopped. These next 12 months are either going to be very entertaining or entirely depressing - possibly both, like a slow motion trainwreck.

The only thing Rand has promised is to make a long, boring speech on the Senate floor so he can get free video for campaign ads. It’s hard out there for a candidate that’s not Trump.

In any case, Boehner gave the GOP a gift today with that deal. The LAST thing the GOP wants in a Presidential election year is to have the teabagger dipshits trying to shut the government down in October 2016.

This bit at the end just made me reflexively roll my eyes:

You win the White House, you appoint a new IRS commissioner, and then you get an uncompromised DOJ to go in and to prosecute Lois Lerner.

There’s two things that are just gob-smackingly wrong about this. The first is that Charlie and other wingnuts seem to have forgotten that the President let Dubya and his cronies off the hook after the election, putting aside calls for investigations and criminal charges in the spirit of reconciliation and bipartisanship. The second is that the GOP’s entire case against Lerner is she wouldn’t go along with their little fantasy where she gave up the President and/or a major figure in his administration in exchange for leniency from Grand Inquisitor Issa.

Since tonight’s debate is centered around the topic of the economy and money/banking/financial markets, it will be interesting to see if Trump will be smart enough to not attack and go with something he should be fairly god at. Should be. But really, is he the financial wiz he sells himself as? I think he may not be all that, especially dealing with government budgets, not construction budgets you had the banks cover for you.

I think he and also some of the others will go off topic and go with bomb throwing. That will be to their detriment.

I think Kasich will get the bombs started either directly or with Trump attacking him and then getting to respond. And then Kasich will go with the topic. As much as I do not like him (Ohioan…he’s our governor) this is his topic. He has always been a Federal Budget wonk and he has a pretty solid rep for what he did accomplish with a balanced budget and lowering the deficit during the Clinton/Gingrich years.

Rubio and Cruz are probably the only two young enough to entertain another run (which traditionally is how the GOP picks its nominee - Reagan, GHW Bush, Dole, McCain, Romney all ran (at least) once before getting the nomination (even Nixon who lost a general and then was nominated again anyway). Paul might be young enough too. But who are the politicians sitting out this round that might be ready for 2020? Rubio and Cruz are probably the only two young enough to entertain another run (which traditionally is how the GOP picks its nominee - Reagan, GHW Bush, Dole, McCain, Romney all ran (at least) once before getting the nomination (even Nixon who lost a general and then was nominated again anyway). Paul might be young enough too. But who are the politicians sitting out this round that might be ready for 2020? And what will the GOP primary electorate be like by then (assuming 3 losses in a row)?

Can we get through this election please?

Thank You!

I hate to say this, but I do kind of wonder who would be the potential candidates for 2020. Good points actually all around.

Kasich: Hillary! Email! Disqualified as POTUS candidate!

Graham: Putin wouldn’t be in Ukraine if Reagan was POTUS!

that’s why I said “I hate to say this”… I hate playing that game, but sometimes it is hard not to do it. If only because it gives you another way to look at gubernatorial and senate races.

That’s such a goddamned shame. Wisconsinites are the nicest people. After 9/11 they donated more than any other state. They deserve better.

I didn’t know that. Hopefully they get Feingold back in the Senate.

Pataki, not Kasich. He flat-out asserted that state secrets are now in Iran’s hands because of Hillary’s email server.

Wat.

That wasn’t Kasich. He’s on the big stage tonight. I think you mean Pataki.

Their logic is highly Biblical: namely that sodomy, pedophilia and bestiality are all an abomination unto the Lord, therefore one is the same as the other.

Do not try to explain to these guys about the concept of “consenting adults”…

In their world you do as you’re told or God will smite you. That’s the closest they come to the concept of consent.

Hastert rule just has different wording now. It now reads, “Take this money and keep your mouth shut. Got it?”

Jews, who certainly know a thing or two about “biblical logic”, will absolutely dispute that. There’s at least 3 occasions in scripture when somebody tells God “Hey, bad judgment there, dude. You’re out of line. You need to change your pronouncement because here’s how your reasoning is faulty….”

God does not smite them. He thinks about it for a minute, says “Hmmm. You’ve got a point there. Okay, decision revised as follows….”

It’s Paul Ryan: half-baked will be just as appropriate
