Donald Trump Compares Ben Carson to a “Child Molester,” Calls Iowa Voters “Stupid”

The crazy is getting even worse

This is what the Republican presidential race has come to, folks. Donald Trump launches into a bizarre rant in Iowa, viciously attacking Ben Carson and calling the people of Iowa “stupid” for believing Carson. Watch the people seated behind him; they look extremely uncomfortable, as if they were watching someone embarrass himself. Which they were.

And that wasn’t all:

He scoffed at those who have accused him of not understanding foreign policy, saying he knows more about Islamic State terrorists “than the generals do.” He took credit for predicting the threat of Osama bin Laden and being right on the “anchor baby situation,” a position he says “these great geniuses from Harvard Law School” now back. He uttered the word “crap” at least three times, and promised to “bomb the s—-” out of oil fields benefiting terrorists. He signed a book for a guy in the audience and then tossed it back at him with a flip: “Here you go, baby. I love you.”

Trump called Republican rival Carly Fiorina “Carly whatever-the-hell-her-name-is,” accused Democratic front-runner Hillary Rodham Clinton of playing the “woman’s card” and said Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) is “weak like a baby.” He then devoted more than 10 minutes angrily attacking his chief rival, Ben Carson, saying the retired doctor has a “pathological disease” with no cure, similar to being a child molester.

OT, but Mrs. FBW points out that the picture that’s been going around claiming to be of a baby giraffe is actually a baby dik-dik. Baby giraffes are about 6’ tall at birth, not tiny like that.

And now back to our regularly scheduled program, already in progress.

Not exactly on-topic, but I have been meaning to say this for a while (prompted by a previous thread):

“The Federalist” is a festering boil, and is as vile as News Max — minus a few exclamation points.

Please file any disagreements with this statement in the correct bin.

Donald Trump, for when you absolutely, positively, need someone who’s just even more batcrap insane than Dr. Ben Carson.

Oh, and both are your two leaders in the polls for the GOP nomination among GOPers. That speaks volumes to the insanity among the GOPers themselves - a bunch of hateful folks who lack even the slightest tinge of empathy towards others.

Make America great again… by screwing over American workers who shouldn’t get a fair wage (or eliminate minimum wages because workers make too much anyways), when we’re not offshoring the jobs, and what little income you’ve got should go more to taxes since we’re going to shift the tax burdens from the rich on to everyone else because it’s only “fair”.

The GOP laps this crap up - and regurgitates these economic illiterates with veneration. It’s not shocking nor surprising that they’ve gone this route, but the crassness and crudeness of the 2016 GOP pretenders is setting a new bar.

If I were a Republican, watching Trump rant like your drunk uncle, and Carson spout insanity, and realizing those two are combined about 50% of the support in polls, I’d have to wonder what the fuck has happened to my party that its come to this. Seriously, can you imagine watching that Trump video if you’ve been out of the loop for the last six months, then being told, this is the GOP’s co-frontrunner?

Oh, I’m wholly on board with that sentiment. My mom came over from Cuba with her family when she was maybe six or seven years old. My uncle was sent early, to live with a friend of a friend because they were worried that he’d be drafted into Castro’s army at the age of 12. My grandparents, aunt, and mom came with only a suitcase for the four of them - they camped out in the old Orange Bowl. I have cousins who were part of the Mariel boat lift. We have been lucky, because immigration law favors Cubans. But it absolutely pisses me off when someone whose family so recently benefited from immigration wants to seal all the borders and ports.

re: #79 mr.fusion

How sad is this? Cruz is admitting that the GOP refuses to support immigration reform, not because they believe it’s the right thing to do, but because he believes it will hurt the GOP politically

Which is absolute nonsense, but thats a whole other argument

Bachmann admitted this too and I’ve seen others do it too. They’d rather create a permanent class of non-citizens than actually allow people to get citizenship and participate in our society because they know that when thsoe people will vote, they won’t vote Republican and there’s something deeply repugnant about approaching immigration reform that way.

Britain changed their nationality law in the early 1980s. But if non-citizen parents are legally settled in Britain, the child will have British citizenship - which is probably further than most of the wingularity wants to go on this.

When Cruz and his ilk say “Israel”, they mean some Biblical fantasy land in which Jewish Warriors are led by God to kill the Muslim hordes. He’s not talking about Israel as it actually exists. Yes, there are scary people like Avigdor Lieberman there, but also sane leftists like Avraham Burg. Cruz would not hesitate to call the latter a traitor or worse.

Ben Shapiro would say Avraham Burg and Yitzchak Herzog aren’t “real Jews”

Man what an incredible story. But yeah that’s what pisses me off too. Ted is a citizen and accepted into American society based on the same laws he wants to repeal. I don’t actually want to deport him, I was speaking tongue in cheek there but it just astounds me that this guy, Cuban born father and born in Canada makes himself sound like Bill the Butcher to pander to the bigots in the GOP base.
