Donald Trump Says Protester Who Was Beaten at His Rally Deserved It

The rise of the thugs
Politics • Views: 68,364

Yesterday Donald Trump’s thuggish followers kicked and punched a Black Lives Matter protester at his rally in Birmingham, Alabama, as Trump incited them by yelling “Get him the hell out of here!”

Video of this disgraceful, disturbing incident:

YouTube

Today Trump was interviewed on Fox News, and instead of condemning this physical attack on a protester, he condoned it, saying, “Maybe he should have been roughed up because it was absolutely disgusting what he was doing.”

With the rise of Donald Trump, we’re seeing the descent of the Republican Party into outright fascism and violent Nazi-like behavior. Notice that the Fox News hosts don’t even blink when Trump condones violence against protesters; they just carry on with no reaction.

Media Matters

ED HENRY (HOST): I would add to that, sir, that yesterday at that large rally you had, there’s video going viral of an African-American protester from Black Lives Matter who appears to have gotten roughed up. We don’t know who did it, whether it was supporters, whether it was security. Can you comment on that and whether or not you want to remedy that situation, and then react to David Axelrod saying that you are going to lose a general election?

[…]

DONALD TRUMP: I will tell you that the man that was — was I don’t know you say roughed up, he was so obnoxious and so loud, he was screaming. I had 10,000 people in the room yesterday, 10,000 people, and this guy started screaming by himself and they — I don’t know, rough up, he should have been — maybe he should have been roughed up because it was absolutely disgusting what he was doing. This was not handled the way Bernie Sanders handled his problem, I will tell you, but I have a lot of fans and they were not happy about it. And this was a very obnoxious guy, who was a troublemaker, was looking to make trouble, but I didn’t get to see the event.

HENRY: Well Donald Trump, we appreciate your time this morning. Thank you for coming on Fox & Friends weekend, and on top of that there’s a new poll Fox will have at the top of the hour, 9:00 A.M. Eastern time. Going to be very interesting news for Donald Trump. Everyone’s going to want to watch that.

“The man you say was, I don’t know, roughed up — he was so obnoxious and so loud, he was screaming,” Trump said Sunday. “I had 10,000 people in the room yesterday and this guy started screaming by himself.”

Trump doesn’t like anyone to be more obnoxious and loud than he is.

We’re staring the death of the Rule of Law in the face and all our fucking media muppets can do is smile and say “And now, over to Candace Bigtits with the weather!” Keep grinning, assholes.

Who’s left when we’re gone? Canada? The UK? Australia?

A lot of older white Americans will agree with him. My parents, for instance, vote Democrat, but are the kind that think that if blacks would just play by the rules whites do, everything will work out, and that protesting hurts their cause.

Trump is America’s Racist Grandma ++

My own father, as expected, has lost his fucking mind and thinks Trump is some kind of cross between John Wayne and… I dunno what. Reagan? The prevailing fantasy seems to be that SA Fuehrer Trump is a tell-it-like-it-is hero.

Turns out, all you have to do to get votes is bring pre-Civil rights era dinner-table racism out into the open. The Republican establishment must be kicking themselves for being outwitted.

How many of the folks in the New York based media live in Trump buildings?

They all act like they all do and all are afraid they’d get kicked out of their great Trump digs.

And all of this should be a great indicator there really is no “mainstream liberal media” in this country. All media is market driven…that is the only associated ideology involved. Surely nothing noble.

I see this crap floating around again on the internet.

Obama ordered the release of Islamic State leader
Repeated by wingnut actor, James Woods.

This is not true. He was released in 2004.

In mid June, there were several articles — from Slate, and NBC among others — that placed Baghdadi at Camp Bucca in 2009 (when Obama would have been president). However, all the talk tracked back to a Daily Beast interview with Army Col. Kenneth King, the former commander of Camp Bucca. That article said King knew Baghdadi at the camp and that he didn’t expect to see him become the leader of a spectacularly vicious and brutal movement.

“I’m not surprised that it was someone who spent time in Bucca but I’m a little surprised it was him,” King said. “He was a bad dude, but he wasn’t the worst of the worst.”

In this storyline, Baghdadi was handed over to Iraqi justice system late in 2009 shortly before Camp Bucca closed.

ABC News questioned King’s recollection, citing a “a U.S. official” that Baghdadi was not in American custody in 2009.

“I could be mistaken,” King told ABC News, “but I’m 99 percent. He’s a dead ringer for the guy I had the run-in with … His face is very familiar.”

King declined to comment to PunditFact.

[…]

Woods said Obama ordered the release of the leader of ISIS, now called Islamic State, in 2009. The Defense Department says the release took place in 2004 and Obama had nothing to do with it.

We rate the claim False.

I mentioned in the last thread, and I don’t want to discount what happened at the Trump rally to the demonstrator.

But would it surprise anyone if Trump staged just such a demonstration and then attack to keep the crowd pumped up? You know a little fight breaking out and then quickly shuffled out of the room can get the ol’ blood flowing.

Just something about the whole thing that looks like some of the fights that happen at a WWE wrestling show. All that was missing was the metal chairs and some fake blood.

Sorry to be so cynical. But, this is Trump and he does have WWE ‘experience’ to use if needed. What’s the harm?

Part of the answer to that is “So?” If only one Asian was killed last year, and he was killed by a white man, then the percentage of Asians killed by whites would be 100% and 0% for every other group. But only one Asian was killed, which is the more important statistic.

It doesn’t matter, long as the gospel truth of ‘inherent black criminality’ is preached and spread, damn what the facts actually say. They need to sell the impression that the only race you can trust to be safe about anything is god-fearing whites. And by god, look how well they’re managing to sell it. Open racism is THE hot political commodity of the day, who cares who gets the shit end, they’re not “Real Americans”.

I don’t know why…but I get the feeling something is going to happen in Cleveland next year during the RNC Convention.

And I think it will start over protesters from Black Lives Matter in town because of Cleveland’s rather glaring issues with policing and America’s reaction to it like that of the GOP candidates.

Hope I’m wrong. But a very toxic environment in a gritty city that is not real big on Republicans.

He seems to be an actual protestor, though:

Mercutio Southall Jr., a well-known activist who said he has been tased at least 30 times and just recently marched heavily -armed through a Birmingham neighborhood to teach people about gun rights, said he is sore after today’s pummeling but doesn’t think he was seriously injured.
…………
Southall said the fracas began when one of his fellow activists was recording their presence at the rally, which they always do. He said, “I’m recording this live from the BJCC because we want Donald Trump to know he’s not welcome here,” and that’s when someone knocked the phone out of the other man’s hand.

“They said ‘Go home, n****r, and somebody punched me,” Southall said. “I punched back. You know don’t do the turn-the-other-cheek (expletive).”

Such classic bully behavior. Bullies almost drove me to a suicide when I was 13. I learned their psychology well.

They follow a black and white philosophy: You’re either part of our clique or you’re not and if you’re not, then fuck you and every last thing about you. We can and will do everything possible to harass, abuse, ostracize and harm you (to the point of killing you if necessary) and we’ll laugh while we do it. Why? Because FUCK YOU!, that’s why. Because we know we can do it and no one will stop us. Because that’s just who the fuck we are. Tough shit if you feel otherwise.

Trump has money and power and can throw his weight around and run his mouth without consequence. Classic bully.

I despite people like him.

Decided to take a look at FR, get a sense for how the wingnuts were responding to this story. And it’s about what you’d expect: They’re loving every minute of it, they think that Trump is right for glorifying in the acts of his supporters, and they (surprise, surprise) think that the protester faked the beating to make Trump look bad.

It’s like I said the other day, unless Trump wins the nomination, the base is going to be absolutely convinced that the GOP establishment rigged the vote against him.

Trump is out doing him. He wants to be the top dog of bullies. This is not good.

Literally, the only gimmick Christie brought into the Krazy Klown Kar was living up to the stereotype of the obnoxious, uncouth, “straight-talking” jerk from the NY/NJ metro area; and Trump out-Christie’d him.

Although Christie saying “Fuck you” to war orphans was an original twist that I didn’t think Christie would sink to. That’s how bad he wants this.
