We Found Where Donald Trump’s “Black Crimes” Graphic Came From

Straight out of the white supremacist fever swamp
Politics • Views: 465,069

So today, this happened. Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump (yes, him again) re-tweeted the following blatantly racist graphic:

Not only is this racist, it’s completely false. These statistics are made up out of thin air, and the source — the “Crime Statistics Bureau” in San Francisco — simply does not exist.

Here are the actual statistics from a real source, the FBI:

So let’s recap. The leading candidate for the Republican Party’s nomination for president is tweeting absolute nonsense with a blatantly racist slant.

But where did this graphic come from? My first thought was that it must have originated at a white supremacist website like Stormfront, because it really is that bad. But neither Google Image search nor tineye.com found it posted at any websites. Google Images did, however, find the earliest tweet in which this horrible racist image appeared:

(I saved a screenshot in case it suddenly goes missing.)

UPDATE: Sure enough, it went missing, so here’s that screenshot:

Here’s the bio of the person who posted it:

Notice that he’s an admirer of Hitler:

Should have listened to the Austrian chap with the little moustache.

And his avatar, that looks like a modified swastika, is the symbol of the neo-Nazi German Faith Movement.

So there you have it. Donald Trump is posting racist imagery that comes directly from neo-Nazis.

I hope you’re not surprised that a guy like Donald Trump, who continually spouts fascist rhetoric, is attracted to fascist memes posted by neo-Nazis. This is where the right wing has ended up in 2015.

What disgusts me about this incident isn’t that Trump retweeted a meme that came from a Neo-Nazi. It’s that the media has responded by referring to it as “controversial.” This is why the GOP remains a viable party, because the media is so beholden to its investors that it no longer has the balls to mount a serious effort at journalism anymore.

They seem to be carrying their punishment inside themselves:

…back on the sidewalk, a man who wore a name tag that read “Big Daddy Infidel” and was afraid to give his full name worried about the day he would be forced to use his hunting rifle to take a human life.

“You know, I hope 10 years from now, we just stood out here and froze to say what we wanted to say, and nothing ever came of it on either side,” he said quietly. “I hope the supplies I have in my house, the food and the water and medical supplies, I have to use up in my retirement years.”

But, he concluded, “This stuff is among us. People are blind if they don’t think it is.”

In other news, some of you may have heard the news coming out of Chicago where the white cop shot and killed the black teenager.

abcnews.go.com

The police squad car dashcam video from October 2014 allegedly shows black teen Laquan McDonald, walking away from a group of police officers with a small knife in his hand, according to lawyers for Laquan’s family who said they have a copy of the video.

As McDonald, 17, is walking away, Officer Jason Van Dyke can be seen opening fire from about 15 feet and continuing to shoot even after McDonald fell to the ground, hitting McDonald a total of 16 times, Laquan’s family layers said.

The mother doesn’t want the video released. That should be the end of it as far as that’s concerned. But as far as the cop and investigation, everything should be available publicly as the investigation ends.

I think the city is releasing it to purposely inflame tensions and to justify their tactics. Apparently the video is very, very bad. Nothing good will come from its release.

I disagree.

The city cannot hide video of murder committed by the police from the public. Period. Whatever the reaction, the public has every right to transparency where serious crimes committed by public servants are concerned.

What scares me is that the worst is yet to come. The GOP has gone completely out of control. I now fear that these insane freaks are going to shut the government down again on December 11th and they’ll keep it shut down for the long haul until they get their way on all their demands.

I’m getting stressed out again remembering how that motherfucker Newt shut us down from Thanksgiving 1995 to early January in 1996. And we were forced to work at Social Security without getting paid. Coworkers cried because their kids had no Christmas that year thanks to that pig!

A counterfactual can never be proven. Also, your supposition extends to every abuse of authority we have ever experienced where the need of the public gets weighed against the need of the state to (protect order, protect secrets, protect somebody’s ass who wants to get elected again, protect my dirty deals, protect my racist and murderous police force etc).

We have seen a black man get gunned down in the back by a SC cop last summer. Let the public see this one as well. Let the goddamned dirty laundry be put out so we can see just what kind of justice is being done in our name every day.

Blocked people can tell they’re blocked because they get a message saying so when they try to view your tweets in the main twitter app. Also they can’t follow you, and will be forced to unfollow you if they already were when you blocked them. This makes a quick block and unblock useful as a way to sort of quietly give someone the brush off.

Muting is stealthy, you just don’t see that person’s tweets anymore but they can still see yours, respond to you, follow you, etc. From their end it will just appear like you’re ignoring them, which you are.

Wait, wasn’t CCJ raised by a single mother? Do we know who his father is?

I read that a federal indictment is almost inevitable in this case…which begs the question of what the hell is wrong with Chicago that they cannot indict a cop who engaged in what one expert calls “an unjustified shooting that turned into a sadistic execution”.

O/T

Took my spouse to see Mockingjay today.

I am a huge fan of the books and I knew what to expect, but it is still hard to watch at points. This should never have been called “Young Adult Fiction”. This is military science fiction and pretty grim stuff. The killing of hundreds of children at the end is just as bad as you would expect, as is the death of Prim. Jennifer Lawrence is a force of nature as Katniss. I have never seen another actress with her ability to convey so much just through her eyes. When she discovers Snow in the hot house, the dead look in her eyes is stunning and more than a little scary.

This is an extraordinary movie for all that it is so relentless in refusing to give the audience an easy way out or the happy ending we crave.

It’s an overwhelming responsibility. Thanks for your trust. In fact, I try to check Pacer Monitor once a day, if I have time. The Gawker case is proceeding slowly, as Chuck’s lawyer has requested another extension of time to be with family over Thanksgiving and to attend training classes on how to be a better lawyer. (No joke) AFAIK, the extension was granted, so we won’t hear much about Gawker until early December, unless the judge gets tired of the whole shitshow and issues some order or ruling.

Wow.

Just to prove I’m not being too snarky, here’s an excerpt from John C. Burns’ motion:

On December 19, Plaintiffs’ counsel emailed Defense counsel and again asked for consent to a time extension to December 14, 2015, due to the holidays as well as Plaintiffs’ counsel’s travel out of state on December 3-6 for legal training.

7. Plaintiff’s counsel will be traveling during the Thanksgiving Holiday to visit
family. Counsel will also be traveling out of state on December 3-6 for the purpose of
receiving additional legal training necessary to improving his legal practice. Both
activities will on their own strain Plaintiffs’ counsel’s ability to service his legal practice,
in addition to being able to respond in the present matter before the Court.

8. As a result, Plaintiffs’ counsel has a need for an extension of time to file Plaintiffs’
Reply to Defendants’ Response (Doc. 57), beyond December 4th.

9. Therefore, Plaintiffs request through and including December 14, 2015 to file
Plaintiffs’ Reply to Doc. 57.

I read that a federal indictment is almost inevitable in this case…which begs the question of what the hell is wrong with Chicago that they cannot indict a cop who engaged in what one expert calls “an unjustified shooting that turned into a sadistic execution”.

It would be easier to ask what isn’t wrong with Chicago.

Burns has a small practice. Maybe it’s a one-man show. In any event, if I were intending to “bring down” Gawker with a multi-million dollar libel/defamation suit, I’d have picked a bigger outfit to plead my case. But, Chuck, for all his bragging about talking to billionaires about his business ventures, is suing Gawker on a shoestring budget.

Also, I think Burns is representing CCJ pro bono. He’s got to work his paying cases, too.

Six Caucasian and two Chinese developers huddled together (side-by-side, back-to-back) between the first pair of counters. Farther back, behind a partition, was Stinky-winky Land. You had East Indians, Pakistanis, and one very raffish, Jewish concert musician and composer […] I thanked my lucky stars that I worked down in Editorial, among normal, hygienic people in ample offices and wide cubicles; where the carpets were clean and plants got watered and mouse turds didn’t tumble from the ceiling. My daily nightmare was that someday, somehow, I might be exiled to the 11th floor, to work amongst this crowd. The likelihood of this seemed remote, up until the very day that I was exiled there. I’m sure there’s some psychological diagnosis that would be appropriate here. It’s as if Chuck is setting himself up for a FAIL, so he can plead persecution, and take his dopey case to a higher court (say, of public opinion) when this court either throws it out, or orders a change in venue.

IANAL, but after reading his lawyer’s motions and Gawker’s motions, I gotta say his chances of getting a dime out of Gawker are zilch. As slimy as Gawker can be, they did not libel anyone. In fact, they went out of their way to state, categorically, that the floor shitting and sheep fucking did not happen. The blow job peeing rumor was wisely left largely untouched. Of course, it’s been entered into the court record, so if this case does go to trial, Chuck’s going to have that dirty laundry aired as well.

He’s essentially suing because college mates said mean things about him, and he can’t punish them, so he’s going after Gawker.

Let’s say Trump Wins. Then what?

Sarah Palin on the cabinet?
What happens when he has to deal with real politicians?
Will he try to manage the country’s affairs like a reality show?
What happens when “point and command” isn’t enough?

The country won’t be able to handle it. He can’t handle the country. Shit will happen and Murica will wake up with a hangover wondering what the fluck it just did. Presidential recall? Forced resignation? Do markets collapse when all confidence in America as an idea evaporates overnight?

Khrushchev supposedly thought Kennedy was a weak playboy. What happens when we become the laughing stock of the entire world? Imagine how our enemies react. Worse, imagine what this guy would do, the kind of shit he would start. Nuclear war? Responding to everything with threats?

I like to write speculative stories in my spare time, and even I can’t piece together what might happen. Too much of this guy is just blustering asshole. Brass tacks analysis points to him as a racist, temperamental dickhead.

I foresee a story on The Onion where Canada turns away American refugees because we’re coming from a war-torn wreck of a state and we can’t be trusted because we elected Trump, and some percentage of the refugees might be violent Republicans.

How about a right-wing Canadian politician saying, “Well we can’t let in the Americans because of the danger they present with all those guns and destructive tendencies. But what if we established a reservation inside America for the non-violent ones? Put all the good ones in South Dakota while we work with Mexico to re-establish a functioning government…”

…could happen

Depends on what happens with congress. I have a feeling neither nominee this year will have coattails. There could be impeachment articles for Pres Trump and whoever his Veep is. I mean, I could see senate republicans joining with Dems to remove president trump and vp cruz.

Ultimately I think Trump will blow up before he wins the nomination. He’s going to run into a spot where he will be told “no” and lose his shit

As long as the Republicans have a lock on the House of Representatives, they will give Trump pass after pass. If he does get elected, they will march lock step with him.

Yes. My Mom is still insisting that Obama went on an “apology tour” even though you can conclusively prove no such thing ever happened.

Anti Obama people want it to have happened because their internal narrative insists on the necessity. So, it had to have happened. No amount of debunking can convince then otherwise. You will still hear about zombie lies like that 30 years from now.

I have a theory:

Clara didn’t die. Three things give it away. First, when the guy met the Raven at the beginning one of the aliens said “don’t run… They always run.” Clara didn’t run. That’s going to mean something. Second, the teleporter dropped when the Doctor was zapped out to wherever he is. That’s how Clara saves him. Third, there was a medical pod/stasis chamber where they kept someone else who was “dead”. I’ve no doubt Clara is leaving because Jenna Coleman wants to do other things (can’t blame her). But I still think there’s going to be a happy ending. If only because every other companion since the relaunch has got a happy (or at least bittersweet) ending.

I think the city is releasing it to purposely inflame tensions and to justify their tactics. Apparently the video is very, very bad. Nothing good will come from its release.

Interesting theory. Not sure how it accounts for the fact that the city went to the court to stop the release of the video and that it was the judge who rejected all their arguments and ordered the release. But interesting.

Yeah, not really. Rose got shuttled off to an alternate universe and her consolation prize was the Not-Doctor. Mickey and Martha basically got put on a bus, appearing just long enough in The End of Time to say they got a “happy” ending. Cap’n Jack’s off-screen adventures were anything but happy. And Donna and the Ponds are left to compete over who got the crappiest send-off.

230
KGxvi  Nov 23, 2015 • 12:04:39am

re: #229 Targetpractice

Rose ultimately got what she wanted, which was a Doctor to love her. Martha and Mickey was a bit of a surprise, and kind of a throw away, but ok. Donna eventually got what she wanted from when we first met her (she married a nice guy and got a winning lotto ticket). The Ponds got to grow old together. Jack is a tricky one because of Torchwood. They haven’t killed a companion since bringing it back and I don’t think MOFFAT has it in him (I mean even Jenny came back and that was a one off). just my take

I’d argue that Moffat has gotten around that by just writing out characters in such a fashion that they are effectively dead for story-telling purposes. Rose is locked off in an alternate universe. Donna the companion pretty much died when the Doctor sealed her memories. And the Ponds are trapped in a timeline that the Doctor can never visit because of the paradoxes involved. Yeah, they’re not truly dead, but they might as well be for the Doctor.

She posted a link to wapo:washingtonpost.com

It contains a general claim about people celebrating. It is almost certainly a reference to the story about 5 Israelis, who were indeed caught behaving like assholes (the FBI docs released in 2011 say that their own photos confirm that they looked happy at the time, which confirms the witness statements).

This confirms my hypothesis that people are misremembering that story as the story about Arabs - esp. given that some first reports described them simply as middle-eastern men.

In a sort of speculative history I’m working on (It’s told from the point of view of a Canadian officer who served in one of the International Brigades formed by the First States of America during the Second Civil War.) Canada and Mexico made a metric crap ton of money in the weapons trade.

Modern American weapons are made all over the place so Canadians and Mexicans would by parts cheap from the First States and sell them expensively to the True States and vice versa.

In case you’re wondering the same people win the Second American Civil War as won the Yugoslavian Civil War.

We make turkey for both winter holidays, and always the same way. It gets grilled (20 min/lb) on the Weber knockoff we bought in Korea in 1980. I learned to do that because our Army-issued oven blew up late in our tour, and it wasn’t worth the paperwork to get it replaced.

(Since the kids have been married, with obligation to in-law celebrations, we often have 3-4 holiday meals in Nov/Dec.) Attempts to feed the kids anything but grilled turkey incites mutiny.

Who’s making the ammunition in this story? That takes raw materials and lots of them and complex chemical processing with high quality-assurance levels at all points in the manufacturing chain. Making reliable centre-fire primers in bulk is not something that can be achieved by a backyard gunsmith. Nitropropellant chemistry is tricky and a modern self-loading firearm like an AR-15 won’t perform very well if fed with home-made black powder cartridges. Making jacketed bullets isn’t a backyard endeavour either and feeding unjacketed lead through an AR-15 or equivalent is a recipe for stoppages and fouling.

A large part of the military small arms ammo in the “western” world is made on 4 automated lines called SCAMPs. Each produces more than 1 million rounds/day. At last look, Israel ran 2 of them.

As Decatur Deb pointed out the ammunition for small arms can be obtained just about anywhere.

It’s the complex weapons; tanks, MICVs, aircraft; that have their parts made all over the country. The pork barrel politics of arms manufacturing in the States makes this necessary. As I recall ever state in the union has at least one manufacturing contract regarding parts for the M1.

I figure when the States break up neither side can keep their equipment running for long so there’s good money to be made acting as a middleman.

No, RH—the SCAMPs have driven most NATOish small arms production off the market, except for ‘boutique’ calibres. That’s why the fascination with full-auto weapons among the threeper/preppers is a hoot. After the first morning of SHTF they’ll wish they still had their bayonet lugs.

In WW1 a British Army machine-gun platoon comprising four Vickers water-cooled machineguns was tasked with creating a beaten-fire zone in no-man’s land for 24 hours straight. During that time they used up a million rounds of ammo and burned out several hundred barrels. They had a company of logistics runners supplying them with ammo, barrels and cooling water and a wealthy nation paying taxes to fund the operation.

Full-auto weapons are a government-sized deal or a weekend play toy for rich individuals.

CDC Sees ‘Alarming’ Increase in Sexually Transmitted Diseases

Most of the increases have been seen in young adults, who get infected soon after they first begin having sex.

The CDC estimates that half of the 20 million new sexually transmitted infections that occur every year are among people aged 15-24.

“Young people are the most vulnerable,” Bolan said. While antibiotics can treat the infections, they often do not cause symptoms until damage has been done.

“Women can lose their reproductive health for a lifetime from infection of chlamydia or gonorrhea,” Bolan said.

What’s going on to cause the increase? There are several factors, the CDC says. Budget cuts are a big factor.

Something else to work into your scenario is the amount of stored ammo already out there, its distribution after your notional wars, and the very long storage life of well-packaged lots. After the Wall came down we started de-milling the big stuff (NATO and Warsaw). The volumes were staggering, enough to melt marketable aluminum out of the HE filler.

BBL later fur reel.

The Sky is Falling, The Sky is Falling, The Sky is Falling!!!

I went to Wikipedia just now to read about Chicken Little and found this tidbit.

A very early example containing the basic motif and many of the elements of the tale is some 25 centuries old and appears in the Buddhist scriptures as the Daddabha Jataka (J 322).[35] In it, the Buddha, on hearing about some particular religious practices, comments that there is no special merit in them, but rather that they are “like the noise the hare heard.” He then tells the story of a hare disturbed by a falling fruit who believes that the earth is coming to an end. The hare starts a stampede among the other animals until a lion halts them, investigates the cause of the panic and restores calm. The fable teaches the necessity for deductive reasoning and subsequent investigation.

Usually a governor’s race this close to the presidential is supposed to be seen as some kind of bellwether of the parties’ general standing… but I don’t think this one is. It’s very specifically about this particular individual R.

Ben Carson shows once again he’s a single issue expert and a complete ignoramus on everything else.

Today’s episode? He thinks Jefferson wrote the US Constitution, but his book (which now appears ever more likely to be ghostwritten identifies that Jefferson wasn’t even in US at time of drafting)

Of America’s founding fathers, Ben Carson is most moved by Thomas Jefferson, partly because of the way he “tried to craft our Constitution,” the retired neurosurgeon said this weekend.

In a Sunday interview on C-SPAN as part of its Road to the White House series, Carson said he was “impressed by a lot of them,” referring to the founding fathers.

“But I’m particularly impressed with Thomas Jefferson, who seemed to have very deep insight into the way that people would react and tried to craft our Constitution in a way that it would control people’s national tendencies and control the natural growth of the government,” Carson said.

The problem: Jefferson crafted the Declaration of Independence, not the Constitution. In fact, Carson noted Jefferson’s absence in his book, “A More Perfect Union,” writing that he was “missing in action” during the birth of the Constitution as he served abroad as an ambassador to France.

I know we shouldn’t get bent out of shape over a factual gaffe, but this is all part of an ongoing trend - that Carson simply doesn’t know basics of the US government, US history, or anything else that would qualify him to run for the WH other than the fact that he’s of age and a US Citizen.

Nothing about his character or judgment suits him to be in the White House, especially as President.

What many didn’t know last week was that Jack Swanson was saving his pennies for an Apple iPad. Ardalan Iftikhar heard about the story and said he was moved to tears. Known to some on social media as The Muslim Guy, Iftikar contacted Jack’s mother, Laura Swanson, and within days, Jack received a package in the mail along with this note from Iftikhar:

‘Dear Jack, you had saved $20 in your piggybank for an Apple iPad. But then a local Islamic mosque was vandalised. So you donated your $20 to this local Texas mosque. Because of your amazing generosity & kind heart. ‘Please enjoy this Apple iPad with our sincere thanks :-). Love The American Muslim Community.’

True this. One thing that gets political extremists bent out of shape the most is public rejection (as in national elections) of their extremism: especially (as with today’s TP and other wingers) they have force-fed themselves - for decades - with self—reinforcing media narratives about how they and they alone are the righteous REAL AMERICANS!!! and that no one else has any political legitimacy.

I wonder just how much all of this is a large part of our country being unable to admit they were wrong. For example, take slavery and racism. As a Democrat, I admit the party fucked up, but we did decide to give it up. When you ask a Republican why their party decided to run with it, all you get is the usual “We’re not racists, the Democrat party is, and blacks just need to work harder.”

I’ve always chalked it up to some misplaced sense of pride. A good example; the Turks and the Armenian Genocide.

A lot of Turks will say - and have said quite openly - that admitting to having committed genocide against the Armenians is tantamount to admitting to being monsters, and their sense of national (or ethnic) pride will simply not allow them to do that.

Yet, of course, the Germans apologized for their genocidal atrocities in WWII - and those Turks who deny the Armenian Genocide usually strain to find an answer for why they shouldn’t.

I’d rather pay attention to this: Little boy who gave $20 to vandalized mosque receives a special surprise (Daily Kos link):

This is the little boy who gave his $20 to the Islamic Center in Texas that had been defaced. He had been saving for an iPad.

”Dear Jack, you had saved $20 in your piggybank for an Apple iPad. But then a local Islamic mosque was vandalised. So you donated your $20 to this local Texas mosque. Because of your amazing generosity & kind heart. ‘Please enjoy this Apple iPad with our sincere thanks :-). Love The American Muslim Community.’

Cool story. That should make the little guy both happy and because he was rewarded for doing good hopefully a future activist.

And hopefully the damn media will make a big deal of it all. Stories like this need to be covered as much as they possibly can so they can be used to fight back all the bigoted crap.

re: #414 Dr Lizardo

I’ve always chalked it up to some misplaced sense of pride. A good example; the Turks and the Armenian Genocide.

A lot of Turks will say - and have said quite openly - that admitting to having committed genocide against the Armenians is tantamount to admitting to being monsters, and their sense of national (or ethnic) pride will simply not allow them to do that.

Yet, of course, the Germans apologized for their genocidal atrocities in WWII - and those Turks who deny the Armenian Genocide usually strain to find an answer for why they shouldn’t.

Sort of a no True Scotmsan? I actually have to give the German people credit for how they deal with the Holocaust. The Turks and Japanese could learn from them. And honestly we could we Americans in regards to the treatment of Native Americans and Blacks.

I’m a huge fan of Mike Milligan and the Farmer Brother(s) - they sound like a prog-rock band. Well that and the fact that every scene they’re in they’re mesmerizing.

Heck, every scene is mesmerizing in both style, content, and suspense as it keeps getting ratcheted up (and when you think they can’t go further, they do).

Yeah very true. I really like Mke Milligan too. He reminds me a lot of Malvo last season. I really hope we see a season 3. When I was younger, I think Lebowski was my favorite Coen Brothers flick and I still love that film but now it’s Fargo.

I think Germany is a bit unique in this regard: prior to World War I, they were a world power. They lost and were stripped of most all of their power. They rebuilt their power base leading into World War II. Then they lost again. The country was partitioned and basically frozen out of any sort of international power. I’m not sure you can be honest about your past the way Germany is unless your country/regime is so crushed that you effectively lose your place as a world or regional power. That’s probably part of our problem with the Lost Cause segment of the South - we didn’t bring the old confederacy to heel for a generation

I’d add that the Germans had their nose rubbed in the worst, most horrifically and coldly efficient genocide of all history. The South, OTOH, got to go back to something very like business as usual, and perpetuate the ‘States Rights’ bullshit. But I’d say it was more like a century before we brought them to heel, and they still had the gall to resent being forced to treat their fellow citizens as, well, fellow citizens.

Here’s my TV series happy news for the year - Luther is coming back, briefly!

Luther’s back. Pitted against his most chilling adversary yet, haunted by the ghosts of his past and hell-bent on retribution, he’s drawn into a terrifyingly complex case that pushes him closer to the edge than he’s ever been.

Idris Elba says: “It’s great we’ve been able to do this Luther special. John is so close to my heart, he’s part of me. The fans won’t be disappointed with his return - it’s explosive and definitely goes up a gear!”

Don’t even look for me when that’s on. Luther remains my favorite series of the past 10 years, easily.

(And if it’s ‘going up a gear’ from where it left off, it’s going to be fucking insane.)

Barefoot Grin  Nov 23, 2015 • 9:12:01am

There are some interesting, loose parallels with the rise of the Nazis, though I wouldn’t push it too hard. We have the sense of betrayal: many Germans thought they had actually won WWI and didn’t understand why they had to surrender; ‘who stabbed the knife in our backs?’ Many Americans think we ‘won’ in Iraq and don’t understand how we let victory slip through our fingers (see also, Vietnam); ‘Obama and progressives failed to hold our gains and gave it away.’ We have economic insecurity (again, I know the parallel isn’t that tight): Germany is punished with massive reparations and loses its military autonomy; the average Johann thinks that his life stinks; “The Jews!” Americans see a huge national debt and sense an economic apocalypse; ironically, they see a military enfeebled by America’s addiction to entitlements. The average Joe blames the non-productive unemployed, by which he means black people and undocumented immigrants (also: all crime all the time).

It’s not hard to see why we have this inchoate thirst for someone who will “make America Great again.”

I still have faith in our constitution and democratic processes to contain the worst of the stupidity, but….

Brownshirt Kiger: No, they don’t, really, Look, I wouldn’t go into a black church and start screaming white lives matter.

CNN’s Carol Costello: Would you be afraid that they would beat you up?

Brownshirt Kiger: Yeah! I know I’d get beat up, at least roughed up.

His analogy couldn’t be any more racist, and the MSM refuses to call these Brownshirt fuckers on the carpet.

What the hell is it with women who hate feminists? For people who enjoy the benefits of feminism (being able to freely speak one’s mind), thy sure do resent it.

I’m not sure that all those Twitter accounts belong to actual women.

Really, so he equates Trump’s campaign speeches to church? What if some armed immigrants just milled around outside across the street? You know, to show their force. That seems acceptable to them.

Lonesome Rhodes: Rednecks, crackers, hillbillies, hausfraus, shut-ins, pea-pickers… They’re mine! I own ‘em! They think like I do. Only they’re even more stupid than I am, so I gotta think for ‘em.

Lonesome Rhodes: Those morons out there? Shucks, I could take chicken fertilizer and sell it to them as caviar. I could make them eat dog food and think it was steak. Sure, I got ‘em like this… You know what the public’s like? A cage of Guinea Pigs. Good Night you stupid idiots. Good Night, you miserable slobs. They’re a lot of trained seals. I toss them a dead fish and they’ll flap their flippers.

Lonesome Rhodes: I’m not just an entertainer. I’m an influence, a wielder of opinion, a force… a force!

Let us hope Trump meets the same end:

Suppose I tell you exactly what’s gonna happen to you. You’re gonna be back in television. Only it won’t be quite the same as it was before. There’ll be a reasonable cooling-off period and then somebody will say: “Why don’t we try him again in a inexpensive format. People’s memories aren’t too long.” And you know, in a way, he’ll be right. Some of the people will forget, and some of them won’t. Oh, you’ll have a show. Maybe not the best hour or, you know, top 10. Maybe not even in the top 35. But you’ll have a show. It just won’t be quite the same as it was before. Then a couple of new fellas will come along. And pretty soon, a lot of your fans will be flocking around them. And then one day, somebody’ll ask: “Whatever happened to, a, whatshisname? You know, the one who was so big. The number-one fella a couple of years ago. He was famous. How can we forget a name like that?

re: #504 HappyWarrior

Freedom for me but not thee. Fucking fascist fucks.

The differences between the two parties can be seen as a fundamental difference in their understanding of the meaning of ‘freedom’ and the role of government in supporting/protecting it.

Republican ‘freedom’ sees the government as the enabler of those with power, to allow them to be free to take full advantage of whatever privilege, wealth, political connections, or majority they have.

Democratic ‘freedom’ sees the government as the advocate or defender of those lacking in privilege. Its role being that of the champion of the poor, unconnected, the minority.

These two visions are in many instances opposed to each other. Should the boss be able to fire someone for reasons unrelated doing their job, e.g. for holding different political views? Republicans say yes, the freedom the boss to control is workplace should not be limited. Democrats say no, the freedom of the employe to hold differing views, as long as they don’t interfere with doing their job, is important and must be protected.

Should the views of one religious group be enforced as law over another if the majority of voters approve? Republicans say yes, the freedom of the majority should rule. Democrats say no, the religious minority should be protected.

No surprise that Trump would use made up statistics to attack minorities. It will be a sad day if he doesn’t go down in a landslide defeat. Last thing we want is a president who will make white supremacists remotely happy.
