Heavily Armed Right Wing Militia Group Publishes List of Muslims’ Home Addresses

A group of far right militia troglodytes in Irving, Texas, has now published the home addresses of dozens of Muslims who live in their community because they spoke out against one of those crazy “anti-sharia” laws earlier this year. This dangerous incitement is posted at Facebook, in a rant against “Muslims and Muslim sympathizers.”

“THE NAME AND ADDRESS OF EVERY MUSLIM AND MUSLIM SYMPATHIZER THAT STOOD UP FOR SHARIA TRIBUNALS IN IRVING TX. LISTED BELOW,” wrote David Wright III, who organized Saturday’s armed protested outside the Irving Islamic Center.

Below that Facebook message, Wright posted a city document with the name and address of every resident and speaker who opposed a City Council vote earlier this year, when false rumors that Irving’s mosque harbored a Shariah court led city leaders to back a state bill aimed at blocking Muslim influence.

Wright, who is convinced that America is due for a Paris-style attack by Muslims, also posted the addresses to his personal Facebook page, a couple hours after he wrote in another thread: “We should stop being afraid to be who we are! We like to have guns designed to kill people that pose a threat in a very efficient manner.”

A friend replied below the list: “Abide by it [the consitution] or be treated as the treasonous filth or invaders that you are.”

Anti-Muslim hate speech and incitement is reaching epidemic proportions in this country. I’m seriously beginning to fear where this is going to end, because these right wing crackpots are heavily armed and very close to taking the next step into outright violence against people who have done nothing wrong.

This is exactly what to expect from a party that has pandered to racists for decades. The poison gets everywhere, and once a demagogue gets the scapegoating started, it’s very difficult to stop.

Rod Dreher just can’t help himself…again…

A black reader leaves this comment on the Occidental witch hunt thread:

Good grief, video footage of a Chicago police officer shoots a kid 16 times is released, Donald Trump supporters beat up a BLM protester, a couple of white guys shoot up a peaceful BLM protest in MN, we approach the one year anniversary of a cop killing a TWELVE year old kid in a park with a toy, and you really think the most important race relations issue today is some kids complaining about the college environment. You really don’t get the anger, despair, & frustration of the black community do you???

Well, I might say in response, “You really don’t get the anger, despair, and frustration of the white community, do you?” And I would be half-serious, at least,

ISIS wants Muslims everywhere to believe that the West is at war with Islam and that only they can defend the faithful.

An argument that starts to make sense to people living in a nation with assholes like this running rampant.

Now, if only we had not gone down that wrong turn with the Enlightenment and kept a proper Christian government in place, none of this post modern deconstructed nominalist family break down of African Americans would have happened.

AUSTIN — The federal government on Wednesday informed refugee resettlement agencies in Texas and across the United States that states do not have the authority to refuse to accept Syrians.
…………
“States may not deny (Office of Refugee Resettlement)-funded benefits and services to refugees based on a refugee’s country of origin or religious affiliation. Accordingly, states may not categorically deny ORR-funded benefits and services to Syrian refugees,” wrote Robert Carey, director of the office, adding that states that do not comply would be violating the law and “could be subject to enforcement action, including suspension or termination.”

Welcome to the Big Lie

Usage in Hitler’s psychological profile

The phrase was also used in a report prepared during the war by the United States Office of Strategic Services in describing Hitler’s psychological profile:[5][6]

His primary rules were: never allow the public to cool off; never admit a fault or wrong; never concede that there may be some good in your enemy; never leave room for alternatives; never accept blame; concentrate on one enemy at a time and blame him for everything that goes wrong; people will believe a big lie sooner than a little one; and if you repeat it frequently enough people will sooner or later believe it.[7]

“Particular areas”? Let me guess, Ben is a subscriber to the “If you remove these four cities from the list, America is down at the bottom of countries by murders” meme.

It’s the inner city “others” who will come swarming out in their zombie-like hordes to loot and pillage once the welfare checks stop. They are so mesmerized by greed for your big screen TV and your freezer full of steaks that they will just keep marching up the driveway until you have shot all of them. This is why RWNJs need so many guns and so much ammo. A million rounds is about what an infantry division used on an average day in Vietnam, but some RWNJs have that much and more stashed in their garages.

Sort of confirms my suspicions about that phony “but we love the Jews” rhetoric from these Evangelical assholes… They love the Jews only as far as they can fit them into their End-Times Armageddon fantasy. But in the meantime, just stay out of Texas, OK?

That’s absolutely true. All you have to do is go to You Tube and see Hagee’s insane rants about Armageddon where he preaches about all Jews being killed at Armageddon except for 144,000 male virgins who will convert to Christianity.

Bottom Line—Hagee and his fellow Religious Right Dominionists want to finish what Hitler started!!!!

Where do they get this cuckoo shit from? It’s been a while since I read through the Tanakh but I’m pretty sure there wasn’t anything in there about that.

Weird, weird, weird.

If Modern Judaism is hosting Thanksgiving, Fundie American Christianity is Cousin From Out Of Town’s weird, angry little kid, the nephew who isn’t being raised right. Modern Judaism just sits there going “SMH” and hopes Bad Nephew doesn’t kick the dog or set the drapes on fire.

Yeah, all through the Bush years, the Alex Jones crowd was considered a source of amusement and derision. Then a Democrat won in 08 and, slowly but steadily, the wingnuts started to buy more and more into what Jones had to sell. It culminated in the last two years in hearing wingnuts actually argue aloud their belief in things like a general being fired for hiding nukes away from the President, who wanted to set them off in major cities in order to declare martial law and appoint himself as a dictator.

Welll… 20 million total people in DFW & environs, maybe, and they’re definitely trending brown. Straight-up honky white people are technically a minority in north Texas now, judging by what I see, once you count hispanics as non-white.

From your Mic News link:

The line might be boldly drawn, but it’s not enough to stem the party’s problem with alienating the Muslim community. Bush and Cruz have called for a religion test for Syrian refugees and for prioritizing or exclusively taking in Christians fleeing the war-torn region. Sen. Rand Paul has called for denying visas to people from countries with active jihadist movements and barring refugees from 34 countries — including Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq and Iran — from housing benefits. Republican governors across the nation have said that Syrian migrants are not welcome in their states.

Too late for the GOP to try to separate themselves from Trumpism.

I don’t participate in any but this stood out for me:

You can’t always tell by the subject line so you open it hoping someone has something uplifting to say. God would be ashamed. Kids feeling confused and anxious. You open texts from youth with screenshots of comments on local neighborhood Facebook groups filled with so much hate, incitement, and disdain for Islam, Muslims. They wonder why no one has the courage to speak up. They want to respond, I tell them not to feed the hate. I say this for their own well being not because we are afraid or because we don’t have a response.

Saw the mention of Frank Gifford below. His name for me only connects to Fred Exley’s A Fan’s Notes. I really loved that book in my early 20s. I probably read it three times. Now I know it would just make be sad. It’s still on the shelf, though.

On the hit by Chuck Bednarik that probably ended Gifford’s career, Exley wrote: “Dropping his shoulder ever so slightly, so that it would meet Gifford in the region of the neck and chest, he ran into him without breaking his furious stride, thwaaahhhp, taking Gifford’s legs out from under him, sending the ball careening wildly into the air, and bringing him to the soft green turf with a sickening thud.”

So…if Trump decides he’s not being “treated right” (which I read as: Not handed the GOP nomination on a silver platter) and goes third-party, I fully expect him to come in second on Election Day.

My question is: What happens to one of the parties of a two-party system when they come in third in the big one? Trump’s not a “party”. He can’t take up the slack. Serious question—can the GOP come back from that?

I believe we are seeing the end of the Republican Party in its’ current form. The Teabaggers will probably fuse with the Libertarians and become a new major party. What’s left of the Republicans will go the way of the British Liberals from 1931-79, they’ll just be a rump party with a scattering of seats in the South and Midwest.

The beginning of Battle Cry of Freedom talks about how inland development was basically non-existent after the country was founded until roads were built by private companies, states, and the federal government. Until they were built (and the Erie Canal), it cost as much to ship supplies 30 miles inland as it did to ship them across the Atlantic.

Edit: Yep, I’m way behind.
