White Supremacist Groups See Donald Trump as “Golden Opportunity” for Recruitment

Neo-Nazis and racists love the GOP’s leading candidate
Politics • Views: 51,834

Here’s where US politics is in 2015: the leading presidential candidate of the Republican Party is seen as a “golden opportunity” by the nation’s white supremacist groups.

For example, Stormfront, a center of racist hatred for years, is now having to upgrade their web servers to deal with the increased traffic.

[Don] Black of Stormfront said Trump’s rhetoric has been a boon to white nationalists. “He has sparked an insurgency and I don’t think it’s going to go away,” he told POLITICO of Trump.

Black, who said his site receives a million unique visitors a month, said Trump has helped drive a steady increase in traffic in recent months – including 30-40 percent spikes when the businessman makes news on immigration or Muslims – that is compelling him to upgrade his servers.

Rachel Pendergraft, a spokeswoman for the Arkansas-based Knights Party, which considers itself the national standard-bearer for the KKK, said the group encourages its members to engage with their communities through apolitical volunteer work and, at the right moment, steer conversation toward race and “white genocide.”

Trump, she said, has offered KKK members a prime opportunity to feel out potential recruits on their racial attitudes. “Right now he is a major talking point. He is in the news a lot.”

[David] Duke, a former grand wizard of the KKK and perhaps the most notorious racist intellectual in the United States, said Trump, a successful businessman and the subject of nonstop media coverage, has given Americans license to more openly voice their racial animus.

“He’s made it ok to talk about these incredible concerns of European Americans today, because I think European Americans know they are the only group that can’t defend their own essential interests and their point of view,” Duke said. “He’s meant a lot for the human rights of European Americans.”

Cuz it’s super important to inject race and white genocide into conversations.
BLEH!! What a lunatic!

“You’re increasingly being compared to Hitler. Doesn’t that give you any pause at all?” ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos asked the Republican poll leader on “Good Morning America,” displaying an image of the Philadelphia Daily News’ punning Tuesday front-page headline “The New Furor.”

In response, Trump said no, invoking what he termed President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s “solution for Germans, Italians, Japanese many years ago” during World War II. “This was a president that was highly respected by all,” Trump said, remarking upon the Democratic president’s actions during the war. “If you look at what he was doing, it was far worse.”

White supremacists and neo Nazis cheer at every utterance from the likes of Trump, even as Paul, Cruz, and Jeb are pushing anti-immigrant, xenophobic, and/or Islamophobic policies and positions.

This isn’t just Trump, but he’s the front runner for the GOP. The GOP owns all this.

Mainlining conspiracy mongers like Alex Jones? Yeah, that’s on the GOP too.
Mainlining hate sites like Stormfront? That’s on the GOP.
Mainlining conspiracy sites like Infowars? Yeah, that’s on the GOP.

Meanwhile, Muslims are seeing all this and recoiling from Trump. Trump’s business plans in the Middle East are going to take a beating (but watch Trump say he’s winning!).

Buddy Pilgrim, Cruz’s national director for faith and religious liberty, endorsed Christian minister and former Tea Party politician E.W. Jackson Sr. on Wednesday, promising Cruz’s support for Jackson’s plan to “rescue America’s inner cities” from the “new epidemic of black on black violence and murder.”

snip

In a document outlining his plan, Jackson detailed how exactly he would rescue America’s cities. Part of his plan includes sending children who live in “dysfunctional homes” to boarding schools. He claims that “the single greatest predictor of poverty is not race but the lack of a father in the home,” and that the country needs to address “sexual morality” because “a whole host of problems in our cities can be traced to single parent families.” Research actually shows that in cities with a large number of single mothers, families with both parents experience the same level of low upward mobility as single-mother households.

Jackson’s plan also blames pop culture for creating a culture that devalues life and women. “In a world where Beyoncé shakes her ‘bootie’ and Miley twerks, it is difficult to imagine a culture of sexual responsibility, let alone abstinence,” his document says.

The recovery plan, titled “Project Awakening,” argues that young people’s sexual responsibility is also tied to their family structure.

“Young ladies need help to break the pattern of sexual exploitation that reeks [sic] havoc on their lives,” it says. “Ultimately, the absence of a caring father causes girls to go looking for love in all the wrong places.”

Newly released video from Virginia’s Abundant Life Academy in Milford reveals two such brutal scenes which led to the convictions of four former workers who took a plea deal for misdemeanor assault and battery Thursday, WTVR reported.

The three life coaches and a program instructor — identified as Liam Galligan, 44, Jovany Rivera, 22, Timothy Jordan, 26, and William Honea, 49 — had been charged with assault by mob and assault after the video shot in April surfaced.

Good luck! If you can’t make it work with the lower-level people, at least you have a contact higher up if need be. And I hate doing this kind of confrontational stuff, too, but when it gets to $100 or above, I start getting over my hatred of the confrontation.

gocart mozart  Dec 10, 2015 • 11:41:57am
In 1980 Carter thought he had reached a deal with newly-elected Iranian President Abdolhassan Bani-Sadr over the release of the fifty-two hostages held by radical students at the American Embassy in Tehran.

Bani-Sadr was a moderate and, as he explained in an editorial for The Christian Science Monitor earlier this year, had successfully run for President on the popular position of releasing the hostages:

“I openly opposed the hostage-taking throughout the election campaign…. I won the election with over 76 percent of the vote…. Other candidates also were openly against hostage-taking, and overall, 96 percent of votes in that election were given to candidates who were against it [hostage-taking].”

Carter was confident that with Bani-Sadr’s help, he could end the embarrassing hostage crisis that had been a thorn in his political side ever since it began in November of 1979.
But Carter underestimated the lengths his opponent in the 1980 Presidential election, California Governor Ronald Reagan, would go to screw him over.

Behind Carter’s back, the Reagan campaign worked out a deal with the leader of Iran’s radical faction - Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khomeini - to keep the hostages in captivity until after the 1980 Presidential election.

This was nothing short of treason. The Reagan campaign’s secret negotiations with Khomeini - the so-called “October Surprise” - sabotaged Carter and Bani-Sadr’s attempts to free the hostages. And as Bani-Sadr told The Christian Science Monitor in March of this year, they most certainly “tipped the results of the [1980] election in Reagan’s favor.”

Not surprisingly, Iran released the hostages on January 20, 1981, at the exact moment Ronald Reagan was sworn into office.

It was around 1990. Two elementary school kids pulled the fire alarm and opened fire with their parents’ rifles when everybody came out. Killed about a half dozen kids and teachers and wounded about a dozen. The detail that stuck with me is the sadness on the police chief’s face when he said the kids thought they were going to get pizza for dinner.

It’s the opposite of foreclosing on the property and repo men taking it.

The owners decided it was just cheaper to dump the plane at this airport, and who cares about the costs to keep it there.

Several aviation databases list the Boeings — identified by their call signs TF-ARN, TF-ARH, TF-ARM — as belonging to leasing firm Air Atlanta Icelandic, but that company says it sold them in 2008.

Since then, the aircraft appear to have changed hands several times.

Malaysia Airports says it’s entitled to sell the Boeings under the country’s civil aviation regulations if no owner comes forward.

First, Iran hated Carter so much that the whole thing could have been a big Fuck You to him.

Second, Reagan’s team later secretly exchanged weapons for hostages, so it’s not outside the realm of possibility they did it here.

Overall, it’s ‘case not proven’. There’s no evidence that would allow one to make the accusation as a definitive declaration.

Wealthy, highly privileged white men like Chief Justice John Roberts are especially perceptive about such things.

Racism will be over when it doesn’t even occur to privileged white men to ask such a deeply clueless question. The entire line of inquiry betrays an intrinsically immature kind of fatigue at dealing with grown up issues.

It does. It’s a child going “Are we there yet?” Wanting to dismantle every accomplishment of the Civil Rights Era by arguing that racism is “over,” so we can go back to discriminating so long as we’re no longer so overt about it.

I think the irony of this case is that the people most interested in seeing it succeed are the same crowd who would have barred her a generation ago on the grounds that women are too “feeble-minded” to succeed in college and would just end up “wasting” her education the moment she got pregnant.

Poll: Donald Trump back on top, with Ted Cruz climbing into second

Thirty-five percent of Republican primary voters support Trump, up 13 points since October, and his highest level of support in CBS News polling. Ted Cruz (16 percent) has moved into second place, while Ben Carson, who led the October poll, has dropped to third.

Another winnning Islamophobe. This time it’s a Democrat - Rep. Loretta Sanchez from CA.

California Democratic Rep. Loretta Sanchez said on Wednesday that “between 5 and 20%” of Muslims “have a desire for a caliphate and to institute that in any way possible,” including the use of terrorism.

“But certainly, we know that there is a small group, and we don’t know how big that is — it can be anywhere between 5 and 20%, from the people that I speak to — that Islam is their religion and who have a desire for a caliphate and to institute that in anyway possible, and in particular go after what they consider Western norms — our way of life,” Sanchez said on “PoliticKING with Larry King.”

Sanchez, who is running for Barbara Boxer’s open Senate seat, added that this group of Muslims was “willing to use and they do use terrorism.”

A woman who called President Barack Obama a liar on CNN and said she had never been involved in politics until being energized by the candidacy of Donald Trump is in fact a far-right elected leader for the state of New Hampshire.

Susan DeLemus was elected in 2010 as a Republican to the state House of Representatives. DeLemus is a “birther,” meaning she is a conspiracy theorist who believes Obama was not born in the United States.

In 2011, DeLemus was one of the state lawmakers who fought to keep Obama’s name off state ballots because they believed he was a “treasonous liar” who wasn’t born in the States, according to the Atlantic.

U.S. airstrikes in recent days killed an estimated 350 Islamic State fighters holed up in the western Iraqi city of Ramadi, an American military spokesman said Thursday, suggesting the extremists lost as much as half of their defending force.
Col. Steve Warren, spokesman for the U.S. military command in Baghdad, told reporters at the Pentagon that there had been an estimated 600 to 1,000 Islamic State fighters inside Ramadi, which the extremist group captured in May.

Save this for when the candidates complain the US is doing “nothing” to fight ISIS.

Dreaming.

Would it not be interesting if between now and the end of January Obama and the Defense Dept. manage to wipe out enough ISIS members they no longer can hold any territory and are pretty much put on the run to escape getting wiped out totally?

Then Obama has an address to the country and says something like:

“Back in late November and during December while the GOP candidates and all my conservative detractors were going on about how I was such a pussy, flapping their jaws about how I was paralyzed and out of touch, I and my staff, along with our military warriors like the special forces were busy doing what we should have been doing. Today I can tell you that ISIS is really not in business any longer. If you go the out White House web site, you will find a document naming all of the confirmed dead ISIS members. Take your time, the list is long and very extensive. It pretty much shows that all their leadership and a majority of their members are not walking this earth any longer.”

“So, in the words of George W. Bush, but this time stated truthfully, we can declare Mission Accomplished. Only thing is, we didn’t make a cheap tacky banner. I hope you don’t mind. And the money we saved on that we decided to send to The Donald™ TRUMP® for President Campaign. Maybe they can buy him some extra time in a tanning booth. You can never be too orange or too big an asshole. Right Donald. Good evening America. And just remember, just like we did Osama Bin Laden…We’ve Got This!”

(Yeah, it may never happen, but then, it could)

re: #99 Great White Snark

2013 update on “that old allegation” by the man at the center of it.

I was deposed in June 1981 as a result of a coup against me. After arriving in France, I told a BBC reporter that I had left Iran to expose the symbiotic relationship between Khomeinism and Reaganism.

Ayatollah Khomeini and Ronald Reagan had organized a clandestine negotiation, later known as the “October Surprise,” which prevented the attempts by myself and then-US President Jimmy Carter to free the hostages before the 1980 US presidential election took place. The fact that they were not released tipped the results of the election in favor of Reagan.

Two of my advisors, Hussein Navab Safavi and Sadr-al-Hefazi, were executed by Khomeini’s regime because they had become aware of this secret relationship between Khomeini, his son Ahmad, the Islamic Republican Party, and the Reagan administration.

At what point can these people be deemed mentally insane and sent to hospitals for treatment and observation? Is the answer “never until they commit violence?” If so, that is the gap in mental health America needs. These insane people need to have their guns taken away and put under observation until they can be functioning rational adults.
