In an amazingly revealing interview with CNN’s Chris Cuomo, Carly Fiorina looks right into the camera and lies over and over about Planned Parenthood and the edited Center for Medical Progress videos. As Cuomo presses her, Fiorina gets very sarcastic and nasty, insisting that the videos weren’t edited (they absolutely were, even the supposedly complete versions), and utterly denying any connection between her extreme rhetoric and the attack on Planned Parenthood’s clinic in Colorado.

Fiorina says Planned Parenthood “made a quiet little announcement that they would no longer accept compensation for the sale of fetal tissue.” That’s a lie, folks; first, the announcement was very public, not “quiet,” and second, what they actually said was that they would no longer accept reimbursement for their expenses when supplying donated fetal tissue, to shut down the claims that they were profiting from these donations. Planned Parenthood simply does not “sell baby parts,” and the way conservatives continue parroting this gross lie is despicable.

In one breath, Fiorina denies her incendiary rhetoric had anything to do with inciting threats and violence against Planned Parenthood — then in the next breath she accuses President Obama and “the left” of using “dangerous rhetoric” that incites people against conservatives.

But her most outrageous lie may be her claim that no one in the “pro-life” movement celebrated the Colorado attack, because while the leaders of “pro-life” organizations may have rushed to condemn the attack (after months of increasingly rabid incitement), many members of the rank-and-file Republican voting base had very different reactions ranging from attempts to deny the shooter was attacking Planned Parenthood at all, to outright support for his murderous rampage. And even presidential candidates carefully phrased their statements to imply Planned Parenthood probably deserved to be attacked — without saying so outright, of course.

This video clip is a picture of a political party completely unhinged from reality and honesty, a party that will do and say anything to keep their debased followers enraged and ignorant, with no concern at all for the innocent people who are being hurt and killed by their ugly lies.
