Irony Meter Explodes: Donald Trump Calls Hillary Clinton a Liar

The most shameless blatant liar in recent political history is calling Hillary Clinton a liar, in a move that was inevitable.

Donald Trump is accusing Democratic primary front-runner Hillary Clinton of lying in her claim that terrorists are using the Republican primary front-runner in recruitment videos.

“Right, nobody has been able to back that up. It’s nonsense,” Trump said on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday. “It’s just another Hillary lie.”

“She lies like crazy about everything, whether it’s trips where she was being gunned down in a helicopter or an airplane, she’s a liar and everybody knows that,” he added. “But she just made this up in thin air.”

In Trump’s line about “being gunned down in a helicopter” he seems to be confusing Clinton’s story about an incident in Bosnia with Brian Williams’ lie about being shot down in Afghanistan. As far as I know, Hillary Clinton never said she was shot down in a helicopter or airplane.

Let’s face it, all politicians lie when it’s to their benefit. But here’s a graphic illustration of the huge honesty gap between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton, from fact-checking site Politifact.

Hillary Clinton’s statements:

Donald Trump’s statements:

That’s right, folks - of all the Trump statements checked by Politifact, not a single one was rated entirely “True,” and 72% of his statements were rated “Mostly False,” “False” or “Pants on Fire.”

I also missed Trump’s live speech last night:

LIVE Donald Trump Cedar Rapids Iowa Rally at Veterans Memorial Coliseum Dec. 19, 2015

Note the strikingly Christmas-y stage. That’s a lot of trees up there that gave their lives for Trump.

And the large “Merry Christmas” on the podium.

Trump knows his audience. He knows he’s playing to the crowd that only thinks in black and white, in large memes.

Image is everything.

That Trump merely calls Clinton a “liar” is sufficient in itself, because it’s coming from a guy who says “Merry Christmas”.

PolitiFact is a tool of the liberal left mainstream press!!!!

Until they are not…when they catch a Democrat in a stretch, then it is bigger than any lie ever told in the entire history of the world and pales in comparison to anything ever said by Cheney and Bush about Iraq.

I don’t engage in schenfraude that often but I grinned when I saw he was arrested. I hope he has to live like a pauper after he gets out. I’m sick of people like him. He’s one of the biggest reasons I hate our present state of economics.

Yep. He is from the Wharton School of P.T. Barnum.

He has reduced everything down to easy terms that can be sold like cotton candy…heated up almost to melting spun sugar.

And with it he is also reducing the country. I guess he’s digging a new hole to put in a great big beautiful footer so he can build TRUMP AMERICA® with a beautiful TRUMP WALL™ to keep out all the riffraff that can’t afford to live in it. All of us.

Step one: twist words or put words into someone’s mouth.

Step two: call person a “liar”

Step three: repeat until it sticks

Listening to Trump from his performance last night, and it is pretty clear that he is so well skilled at what he is doing that the average TV talking head would be really hard to press Trump too much. The problem is Trump = ratings, and all the talking heads are in the ratings business.

Also, Trump once again mimes shooting Bergdahl.

Now, the very intelligent folk over at Vox tell me that Trump is not fascistic because Trump still is democratic:

But it seems to me that Trump clearly wants to do away with the rule of (democratic) law. It’s all throughout his statements. Trump fantasizes about going outside of our democratic structures we have in our society.

PLAINS — On Sunday, two weeks after making the cheerful announcement that there was no sign of cancer on his brain, former President Jimmy Carter shared much more somber news with his church family in Plains.

His grandson, 28-year-old Jeremy Carter, had died just hours earlier.

My brother is one of those ‘there’s no difference’ clowns. on FB, he responded to a “Will you vote for Hillary?” posts, that he wouldn’t, and would vote Green instead, if Sanders wasn’t the nominee.

Then he said it wasn’t Nader’s fault Gore lost, it was Gore’s.

So I said, it wasn’t Nader’s fault. It was the self-indulgent people who voted for him who gave us the Iraq war, Roberts and Alito on the SCOTUS, Citizens United, the weakening of the Voting Rights Act, the Keller decision, and 8 years of ‘It needs more study’ inaction on AGW. I said that not voting for Hillary in 2016 could give us a ban on Muslim immigration, an attempt to deport 11 Million residents, a new shooting war in the ME, and an end to Roe v Wade.

He said a Guatemalan friend had said, to them there’s no difference between Reagan and Obama. I pointed out that there’s more to the world than Guatemala, and that Reagan couldn’t even graduate from the Kid’s Table in the current GOP field, with his positions.

I find the whole ‘Dolls and Dishes’ approach to be incredibly childish and self-indulgent. If they won’t vote for Hillary, and as a result we get Trump or Cruz, they’ll get the government they deserve. But I won’t get the one I deserve.

34

JERUSALEM (AP) — With Israel mired in a wave of near-daily Palestinian attacks, hard-line Israeli politicians and activists are stepping up the pressure on dovish groups that are critical of government policies— drawing accusations of a nationalist witch hunt that risks turning violent.

In recent weeks, lawmakers have circulated bills to curtail the activities of non-government organizations, while a rival hard-line activist group has launched an even fiercer campaign that accuses opponents of being spies and foreign agents. Even the country’s president, a member of the ruling Likud party, has come under fire, with nationalists accusing him of coddling hostile groups.

He sorta meekly tried, but when he would start Trump would Trump-Gallop right over him.

As this goes on and on Trump grows more emboldened by people just eating up all his wild statements. He sometimes seems to test out how outrageous he can be how low he can go and where any bounds might lie.

The Morning Joke video that was going around and also shown several times since on MSNBC of Trump loving him some Putin was gross. Joke and Meeka were sitting there stunned that he said what he did and how he said it, but also dropped it.

No matter how stunned, they will have Trump call in and abuse them, the Republican party and all of America tomorrow morning. Joke will applaud Trump when he says something without detail very traditionally conservative.

“As far as I know, Hillary Clinton never said she was shot down in a helicopter or airplane.”

Here is the problem, however. Now that Trump has said it…it becomes true to his supporters. Couple that with Fiorina saying today the Hillary lie (that just makes me giggle) it is becoming part of the Teabagger narrative. And they will believe that without looking at the “pants on fires” from the GOTP.
