Former KKK Leader David Duke: Trump Speaks “A Lot More Radically” Than Me

A ringing endorsement
Politics • Views: 53,658

Notorious white supremacist David Duke says Donald Trump speaks “a lot more radically” than he does.

That says it all. Donald Trump is single-handedly turning the Republican Party into an outright white supremacist hate group — or at the least, giving the knuckle-dragging racists who were always there license to let it all hang out.

In an interview conducted on Dec. 17 that Duke labels “Fox interview” on his YouTube channel (it’s unclear who the interviewer is or if the interview aired), Duke praised Trump for giving people the courage to speak out, but was critical of his support of Israel.

“As far as what I see, according to the candidates that are out there now, Republicans and Democrats, I think he’s head and shoulders right now above the rest,” Duke said, noting he hadn’t officially endorsed Trump. “I don’t agree with everything he says, he speaks a little more, actually he speaks a little more, a lot more radically than I talk. And I think that’s a positive and negative.”

This just means he’ll be in even more demand by the media. The last number I saw was over 22 hours of free exposure on Fox alone.

An insult to the intelligence of Republican voters,” wrote Joseph W. McQuaid, the newspaper’s publisher in an op-ed published Sunday night. “Trump has shown himself to be a crude blowhard with no clear political philosophy and no deeper understanding of the important and serious role of President of the United States than one of the goons he lets rough up protesters in his crowds.”

anti-trump freeper (yes, they are deeply divided btw trump and cruz) runs it down for us:

Trump supported TARP, auto bailout and Porkulus bill, i.e., Trump is for big government and big businesses.
And, of course, he is for Renewable Fuel Standard (ethanol mandate), so governement can pick winners and losers.

Trump’s Record on Free-market Issue: (from the Conservative Review)

Trump has a terrible record on free market issues. The only bright spot is the Federal Reserve’s quantitative easing, but this glimmer is countermanded by his repeated support for bailing out Wall Street and the auto industry, and increased stimulus spending. Of particular concern is Trump’s belief that the government can use eminent domain powers to seize private property in the name of private economic development. This comes as no surprise, given his support for using eminent domain to profit his own company.

Trump supported the Supreme Court’s 2005 decision in Kelo v. City of London, allowing public authorities to seize private land for economic development by private investors; Trump said, “I happen to agree with [the decision] 100 percent.” (National Review) This is no surprise given Trump’s attempt to use eminent domain in his own line of work. (Institute for Justice)

Trump supported President Obama’s 2009 stimulus, saying: “The word stimulus is probably not used in its fullest…you know, certain of the things that were given weren’t really stimulus. They were pork, as we call it, or they were gifts to certain people. But overall, I think he’s [President Obama] doing very well. You do need stimulus and you do have to keep the banks alive.” (CNN)

Trump supported TARP, saying, “You had to do something to shore up the banks, because … you would have had a run on every bank.” (CNN)

Trump supported the 2008 auto bailout, saying, “I think the government should stand behind them 100 percent. You cannot lose the auto companies. They’re great. They make wonderful products.” He also said that the federal government could “easily save the companies.” (Daily Caller)

Trump criticized the Federal Reserve’s intervention in the debt market, saying quantitative easing creates “phony numbers” that mislead the marketplace and “will not ultimately benefit the economy. The dollar will go down in value and inflation will start rearing its ugly head.” (CNBC)

Donald Trump has a history of using eminent domain to complete business deals. Multiple times Trump has supported the use of government agencies to take possession of homes and businesses for use in his private business plans. Eminent domain seizures are reserved only for public use of property rather than abuse by the government taking property from one individual and giving to another. (Washington Post)

Donald Trump has sought and received crony capitalist tax breaks for his commercial properties in New York. These tax breaks, and even an abatement, force the property taxes of other property owners to rise at the expense of the connected. Special treatment for one business or industry over another with the tax code conflicts with free market principles. (National Review)

In 2009, Trump supported Barack Obama’s call for limits on the pay of executives. (CNN)

JOE SCARBOROUGH (HOST): It goes back to what the SNL skit from ‘88. I can’t believe we’re losing to this guy. Alex often says this is what they’re thinking. I’m guessing they’re in the embarrassed crowd, and it really is — somebody said, I guess it was on Twitter I read this — that there’s so much information out there. It’s like The Producers. Like they are purposely trying — Trump’s purposely trying to fail. He’s working overtime. This is his “Springtime for Hitler.” And he’s purposely trying to fail. And the more he tries to fail, the more successful he gets.

MIKA BRZEZINSKI (HOST): Stop.

SCARBOROUGH: This is like — you see the Mel Brooks scene when Larry David was on, and it was on “Curb” when he did it, and they said, we’ve got to kill — Mel Brooks in a headband — we’ve got to kill this thing. And Larry David goes out and is so bad that people are just absolutely fascinated by it. This is the political equivalent of “Springtime for Hitler.”

BRZEZINSKI: No.

i think the funniest thing here is the reaction from mika

I lost a friend of mine earlier this year to cancer. He went to a doctor thinking he had pneumonia or a flu and it turned out to be Stage IV cancer. He came home to Texas for treatment and to be with family but by that point it was too late. He was gone in a few months after coming home.

I think he gives more voice to those you mention. By someone taking him down it takes away some of his power to use them and for them to be used and find strength in his words. I know it won’t fix all the problems, but sometimes examples need to be made.

Think the Secretary of the Army taking down Joe McCarthy. Though I think someone more powerful than that need be the one.

I think it’s a believable hypothesis; if your entire campaign is built on being a WINNER! then how do you explain being a LOSER in your very first actual election ever? I lost a friend of mine earlier this year to cancer. He went to a doctor thinking he had pneumonia or a flu and it turned out to be Stage IV cancer. He came home to Texas for treatment and to be with family but by that point it was too late. He was gone in a few months after coming home.

Wasn’t it a show in Austin where he came out on stage and couldn’t perform?

He’d probably been sick for a while.

I think it’s a believable hypothesis; if your entire campaign is built on being a WINNER! then how do you explain being a LOSER in your very first actual election ever? (This is one reason to miss the old straw polls that allowed campaigns to flex their muscles before the delegate contests; we really have no idea whether the Defenders of the White Race will actually show up to vote for their man.)

Haters and losers conspired to drag you down.

Listen out for the mantra among your more establishment Republicans: “Trump will lose Iowa and that will derail his campaign”.

I don’t know if they REALLY believe it or not (losing Iowa didn’t derail McCain or Romney after all), but they are pushing it HARD.

I don’t buy that for a second. I think he’s going to do better than they expect in Iowa.

Here’s the thing, though — we haven’t really seen any oppo research on Trump so far. All the campaigns are reacting to his day-to-day stupidity or questioning his popularity, but we haven’t seen much else. I’m betting that the Super PACs and the campaigns are holding their fire until after Iowa and New Hampshire because they’re gauging how he’ll do when people actually vote. If he does well, I expect the faucets to turn on and the Super PAC money to flow accordingly.

Maybe another freak heat wave will hit Iowa on the night. Average high and low for Des Moines on February 1st are 32/15. A heat wave like that seen on the East Coast for Christmas would be a 50- or 60-degree evening (the record high is 60).

Weird, but people I have talked to or seen interviews with in the WWII re-enacting community say there is a serious overlap between Waffen SS units and police here in the US. (I knew people who were in a Russian unit and who had a working T-34 tank)

Dear vw,
I have been reenacting in the USA since 1990. I have noticed the SS reenactors tend to be police officers in real life and they also seem to have an affirmative action program for the physically challenged. It amazes me to this day that they engage in ceremonies that are illegal in Germany today. There are some who actually seem to believe the “party line”.

re: #160 Decatur Deb

Heritage, not Hass.

Comment from a cop who is in a Waffen SS re-enactor unit…

If you were referring to the ceremonies that used to be performed at Gap. It is not an “illegal ceremony”. It is The Deutscher “Großer Zapfenstreich” (literally translated Tattoo or Grand Taps) is a military ceremony still performed throughout Germany and Austria to this day. It is the most important ceremonial act of the German Federal Forces (Bundeswehr). It is performed only on special occasions such as for distinguished persons, in solemn public ceremonies, & at the conclusion of large military exercises. It takes place in the evening hours & consists of a military formation including at least one military band, two platoons of armed infantrymen, & two lines of soldiers carrying torches to light the way, as the way it was done over 500 years ago. The deutscher “Großer Zapfenstreich” has been performed sine the 1500’s, the current rendition has been unchanged since 1922, even during the period of the Third Reich. So if that was what you were referring to it is not illegal and perhaps you should read up a bit before you post erroneous assumptions ende!

And in regards to your comment on LEO’s making up the ranks of SS reenactors yes they are a lot me included but once again look around and comb through the Heer units, Fallschirmjäger units etc and I think you will find it pretty even.
What’s up with the physically challenged comment? “Party Line”? Sure there are knuckle heads in all units that have some whacky thinking but if they are in good units they get shown the door with the quickness.

yeah…that was reassuring…

I am a Rev War re-enactor in the 2nd NC Continental Regt, and we have an awful lot of actual battle sites here in the Carolinas and Virginia that we go and do public demonstrations at.

As a matter of course, I have no particular objection to re-enacting a typical Wehrmacht unit from WWII if that is your thing.

I object a great deal to portraying Waffen SS and anybody who doesn’t understand why shouldn’t be within a thousand miles of our hobby. The ongoing suspicion that American police like that type of thing in particular is just too damn creepy (and revealing) to even say.

Um, as others here have noted, Kilgore has a US Cavalry crossed sabres device on his uniform. I had the same emblem on my flightsuit when I was in 5/17 Cav. It is not a “Death’s head”.

Lemmy has a death’s head on his hat, not the US Cavalry.

Here’s the Chemtrial article from that vegan fashion mag:
eluxemagazine.com

To summarize: The government is spraying chemicals into the atmosphere to protect semiconductors from the effects of solar radiation and these chemicals are causing various diseases like Alzheimers but you can eliminate these impurities from your body by eating cilantro.

Luckily, I live in Southern California, so my cilantro levels are high.

Hmm. So, what happens if you spray some vinegar on that cilantro?

And don’t make salad jokes. This is serious business these chemtrails!!!

Prior the age of 30, I was pretty sure parsley as an actual ingredient was just some kind of cruel joke.

Also, it’s utterly shit at warding away chemtrails.

Bouie is not buying the party line out of DC:

[…]

But this view—Iowa matters for Trump and not for us—is nonsense. Either Iowa matters for GOP candidates—a test of organization and coalition building—or it doesn’t. If, for example, Rubio doesn’t need to win the state to stay viable for subsequent contests, then the same is true for Trump, for the same reasons: His voters aren’t evangelical voters and they aren’t conservatives either. They’re less ideological, less religious, and hold more influence in places like New Hampshire and even Nevada than they do in Iowa. The standards GOP elites are drawing for their candidates—that Rubio or Christie or Bush could flounder in February and still recover momentum to win—apply to everyone with the resources to fight a sustained battle. That includes Trump.

Robinson gets right to the point:

How Donald Trump destroyed the Republican Party in 2015

[…]

What Trump has done is call out the establishment on years of dishonest rhetoric. Progressives often asked why so many working-class whites went against their own economic interests by supporting the GOP. The answer is that Republicans appealed to these voters on cultural grounds, subtly exploiting their resentments and fears.

The nation’s demographics are changing, with a rapidly growing Latino population — and an African American in the White House. Globalization has hollowed out the middle class. The country is vulnerable to terrorism, and there is no way to impose a Pax Americana on today’s multipolar world.

The Republican Party promised — with nods, winks and dog-whistle toots — to change all of this and make everything the way it used to be . In practice, however, party leaders were compelled to deal with the world as it actually is. […]

Enter Trump, who has the temerity to point out that the party establishment says one thing but does another. He launched his campaign by calling the GOP’s bluff on immigration: If the 11 million people here without documents are really “illegal,” as the party loudly proclaims, then send them home. Other candidates were put in the position of having to explain why, after claiming that President Obama was somehow “soft” on immigration, their position on allowing the undocumented to stay is basically the same.

[…]

However, I believe the GOP will survive Trump.

The Republicans may be shaken. Maybe even stirred. But come 2020 they’ll still be like what they are today.

More news about our failing institution of democracy:

Lawyers For Anti-Abortion Group Seek $300K After Iowa Case

Attorneys for an anti-abortion group who successfully challenged part of an Iowa campaign finance law want taxpayers to reimburse them for $300,000 in legal fees.

In court filings this month, lawyers for Iowa Right to Life argued their clients should be considered prevailing parties in the case and the state should be on the hook for their costs of bringing the lawsuit. They’ve asked a federal judge to award $271,000 to the Bopp Law Firm of Terre Haute, Indiana and $28,000 to Des Moines-based BrownWinick.

[…]

The lawsuit invalidated parts of a 2010 law that required advocacy groups to file more disclosure reports about election activity. But other parts were upheld.

So not only are they allowed to be involved in election activities without reporting such, they want the taxpayers of Iowa to pay their lawyers.

The trick to bringing a proper flavor to cilantro is that it needs to be prepped before adding to food - my preference is letting it soak in either a lime juice or a vinegar (either balsamic or malt) bath for several hours before adding during cooking.

Geneticists at 23andMe in California asked about 25,000 people whether they like cilantro or think it smells soapy. When they searched the people’s DNA for regions that correlate with a distaste for the herb, a single spot jumped out. And, it sits right next to a cluster of odor-detecting genes, including one that is known to specifically recognize the soapy aromas in cilantro’s bouquet. (They’ll analyze your genome, too, for $299.)

That report is a bit out of date.

And, 23andMe dropped its price to $99. Then the FDA made them stop reporting health (and I think 23andMe pulled the traits too.)

Now they’re offering a $199 product that even though it tests for the allele they can’t, or won’t, report the cilantro study. FDA has limited them to reporting only monogenic autosomal recessive disorders.

Any time folks try to use Dr. King to shame protesters, I bust out this quote:

I’m absolutely convinced that a riot merely intensifies the fears of the white community while relieving the guilt. And I feel that we must always work with an effective, powerful weapon and method that brings about tangible results. But it is not enough for me to stand before you tonight and condemn riots. It would be morally irresponsible for me to do that without, at the same time, condemning the contingent, intolerable conditions that exist in our society. These conditions are the things that cause individuals to feel that they have no other alternative than to engage in violent rebellions to get attention. And I must say tonight that a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it America has failed to hear? It has failed to hear that the plight of the negro poor has worsened over the last twelve or fifteen years. It has failed to hear that the promises of freedom and justice have not been met. And it has failed to hear that large segments of white society are more concerned about tranquility and the status quo than about justice and humanity.

Because the FDA thinks people are trying to use 23andMe as a “diagnostic device”.

If you think the chemtrail stuff is loony, try looking at what people write when they discover they have this or that allele in a particularly interesting gene.

And, 23andMe used to report on variants that may affect the uptake of certain medicines. FDA was worried that some people would change their dosages based just on the 23andMe report.

Speaking of DNA:

Ancient DNA sheds light on Irish origins

It’s ok as far as science reporting, except for this little bit:

The males from Rathlin Island, who lived not long after metallurgy was introduced, showed a different pattern to the Neolithic woman. A third of their ancestry came from ancient sources in the Pontic Steppe - a region now spread across Russia and Ukraine.

I didn’t know that steppes moved around.

HOW AFRICANS ARE USING DNA TESTING TO FIND OUT IF THEY’VE BEEN CHEATED ON

There was a reality TV show this year called, I think, “Swab Stories”, which was about a guy in a van going around a city getting people to sign up for DNA tests, if they think something isn’t quite right.

From previous thread. Sorry. Late as always. I had infertility problems also. Know how it feels. Took me 4 1/2 years to get each child. It was easier for me to become a doctor than it was for me to become a mother.

You both have probably seen someone for this so anything I have to contribute is not necessary. The only thing I can say is the most important thing with an infertility workup is having a good obgyn or infertility specialist helping. There should always be a plan, even if the plan waiting for 3 months after a medication change. Otherwise, 6 months will be gone without anything being done and time is important due to your wife’s age. I assume you have had a semen analysis performed at the very least. Infertility is a couple problem.

Wish I could really help. Just don’t give up. Most of the couples I have treated have gotten pregnant eventually.

Also, don’t let your wife go to any baby showers. It is like rubbing salt in a wound. Someone can send a gift in her name.
