For those who don’t know, Abe is right wing old boy in Japan, whose family was in league with the military leaders of Imperial Japan.

But Trump doesn’t tell you the rest of the story.

Trump mentions every time Ford and Mexico.

Tell me please - why would the head of Ford call the US President about building a plant in Mexico?

Do none of the Trump followers ever ask themselves that?

Brings back bad memories of 1980 in Western PA when a bunch of steelworkers came out for Reagan because he was “pro-life”.

In 1984, the steel mills closed down, yet these unemployed steelworkers still voted overwhelmingly for President Pruneface because he was so “pro-life”…

Reminds me of a story about the Dean campaign: one of the campaign’s staffers left a speech in New Hampshire early, headed out to the parking lot, and found that there was hardly a single Granite State car in the lot. Lots of license plates from Vermont, New York, Massachusetts, Maine, Connecticut… he wasn’t drawing big crowds so much as drawing the same crowd over and over. If we’re lucky, that sort of thing is happening to Trumpy Dumpy.

But the message is still pulled straight out of the Democrats’ playbook: He’s emphasizing change, that like Obama, Trump will change the electorate and that change will give him victory. The message is the Donald Trump can undo the Obama majority andrally a coalition of sufficient breadth and depth to let him “change how Washington DC works”.

Much this is indeed dishonest, but it is well-crafted and its intended to turn the Democrats’ own rhetoric against them and force the Dems to defend their stated assumptions.
