I was wondering why no one was following up with this, so I went to the Montana Supreme Court website, and found out it had been adjudicated and BOOM!-disbarment.

As Adam Steinberg said in L’affaie Rage Furby vs Gawker: “Procedure is everything.” Too bad this Yale Law Grad just got his ticket punched.

Now I get to update the Oath Keepers Wikipedia Page.

I’d bet that there was an admiralty flag somewhere in the courthouse that somehow voided this entire ruling.

From RULES FOR THE REGULATION OF THE PRACTICE OF LAW IN THE COURTS OF MONTANA BY ATTORNEYS AT LAW

(c) have signed and filed with the Clerk of the Montana Supreme Court the
written attorney ethics oath prescribed by the Montana Supreme Court; have taken the oral oath prescribed by § 37-61-207, MCA, to support the Constitution of the United States and the Constitution of the State of Montana and to faithfully discharge the duties of an attorney with fidelity to the best of his or her knowledge and ability; and have signed, or the Clerk of this Court has entered the person’s name on, the roll of attorneys kept by the Clerk of this Court; and …

Hmmm…an Oath Keeper who doesn’t keep oaths. Let me show you my surprised face….

A final update on tornado damage in Rowlette, TX. The CERT team I am part of went out yesterday and did some cleanup to help people affected. We managed to take care of two houses, which took about 5 hours. Here’s a couple of pictures I took. The first one shows where a house used to be between two other houses:

Missing House

This was across and down the street from a house we did some work at. The amount of damage in the neighborhood took me a while to process. For example, I stared at the house directly across the street (just outside of the picture) - which was still standing but I suspect will have to be demolished - for five minutes before I noticed the F150 on its side up against the house. We think it may have come from the house we were working on.

We showed up at this location with some pizza for the people working here:

Two Houses

There used to be two houses here. The tornado picked up one house and dropped it on the other one. The people working at the houses were sifting through the rubble trying to find any valuables and identify where they came from.

Thanks for putting up with this. Sometimes you just gotta share.

I’m working now, but Dee Dee and her sister have prepared a feast for late this evening. It has been a trying year with her sister’s recovery from cancer and other health problems and Dee Dee is now on insulin (with much prodding). Maybe I’ll pull out the volcano.
