Terror Group Uses Donald Trump for Recruitment, Right Wingers Blame Hillary (Of Course)

Completely nuts
Politics • Views: 41,056

Here they go again, folks! With the news that terror group al-Shabaab has released a recruitment video featuring Donald Trump’s statements calling for the banning of Muslims from the US, the right wing media are completely losing their shit.

For example, wingnut genius Jim Hoft (aka the Stupidest Man On The Internet), who reacts by blurting:

Maybe the Hillary camp funneled them some cash?

And then there’s Breitbart “News,” where they seem certain that al-Shabaab would never have thought of using Donald Trump’s bigotry to recruit terrorists if only Hillary Clinton hadn’t mentioned it! After The Trump Terror Vid, Can We Start Calling Her ‘Al Shabaab Media Advisor Hillary Clinton’?

Given the fact that Breitbart “News” and Donald Trump are joined at the hip, I think we can predict this is also going to be Trump’s spin. It doesn’t matter how ridiculous or stupid it is; his knuckle-dragging followers will take that ball and run with it.

On Twitter, this is the most hilarious reaction I’ve seen so far:

That’s right, some of Trump’s followers are trying to spread a conspiracy theory that the al-Shabaab video was “doctored” — because Anwar al-Awlaki is dead. And we all know dead people can’t possibly appear in video clips; when they die, all video of them dies too.

UPDATE at 1/2/16 5:02:31 pm by Charles Johnson

Donald Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen actually suggested on Twitter that Hillary Clinton’s aide Huma Abedin instructed al-Shabaab to put Trump in the video. Yowza.

Donald Trump: I do find him refreshing. He’s cut through a lot of crap, and eventually … well, can you imagine President Trump? The worst nightmare. But we can’t say that. Because it could happen. This is one of the wonders of this country. Who would’ve thought Ronald Reagan could be president?

About 90% of the world’s oil reserves are already in the possession of national oil companies, and they provide 75% of the world’s production.

Targetpractice  Jan 2, 2016 • 5:25:41pm

From 9/11 on to Jan 2009, we heard again and again about how any criticism of the President, any criticism of the “War on Terror,” anything that might in any way be construed as “anti-American” was verboten because the terrorists would lap it up, they’d replay it again and again, and they’d use it to boost recruitment. If you weren’t cheerleading the killing, you were “helping the terrorists win.”

Funny how the wingnuts forgot all that right around the time they decided bashing the President was “patriotic” again.

The state’s demographics are slowly but surely changing. Hinds County (Jackson) voted for Reagan in 1984; Obama won 70% of the vote there in 2012. Warren County (Vicksburg) was won by Obama in 2012, the first Democratic win there since JFK (who won less than 35% in a three-way race). Hillary’s going to have a slim but real chance.

Acting like lawful citizens. And not committing arson. And not taking up arms against the US (aka Treason). And not terrorizing the local citizens. I’m sure a few other things also.

Saturday night. My last night on vacation. Whats cooking tonight in lizrdland? Love my wife, told her if she picked up a nice steak I’d cook it up. Wow. two inches thick. And she got all the good sides. Crimini mushrooms, a shallot, the works. Got it all organized to start cooking. Thinking sear on my ribbed iron skillet. And then oven, but must be rare. Oven temp and timing suggestions anyone?

Dwight Hammond told the group, “Remember: It’s not about me, it’s about America and somehow we have to get the wheels back on this wagon because they are flying off.”

At 73, Hammond said he feels his upcoming prison term is a life sentence.

“I’m not very happy about that. Just don’t know what to say,” Hammond said. “It just seems like a little overreach for having burned 127 acres.”

If you have to do it in an oven, I’d probably broil that for 5 minutes per side. That will give you a medium rare slice of cow. A few minutes more if you like it slightly less red.

Hello from Mississippi. I am working today and thus away from the Trump stuff. A number of my colleagues attended. I should also note Hancock and Jackson counties (to the east and west of Harrison) have sizable black populations. MS hasn’t voted for a Democrat in a General since 1964 though we have had a Dem governor in the last 20 years I think.

Carter just scraped by in 1976, but yeah, it’s been pretty ugly. We’ve got to find some way to either turn the white majority toward its better nature, or else find a way around them. (I speak from across the river in Louisiana.)
