Racist Troll Poses as Ammon Bundy on Twitter, Gets Plenty of Media Coverage

Oops
Weird • Views: 58,043

Here’s one I saw coming.

On Monday I had a discussion with TPM editor Nick Martin, and told him I was skeptical that the @Ammon_Bundy account on Twitter was actually Bundy, because it had just been created a few days before.

Lots of mainstream news outlets have been basing stories on tweets from this account in the last week; here’s one of the most recent from Mediaite, published today: Bundy Son: ‘We Are Doing the Same Thing as Rosa Parks’ | Mediaite.

Well, folks, my troll radar was 100% accurate. At the press conference held by these armed goons today, the real Ammon Bundy confirmed that he is not on Twitter and the account is an imposter — although he added that whoever was behind it was “doing a pretty good job.”

The person who created this fake account has now come out; it’s a racist right winger who was purposely trolling the “liberal media” — and unfortunately, lots of journalists fell for it, @ammon_bundy&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8#q=%40ammon_bundy&safe=off&tbm=nws">big time. If you go to his actual Twitter account, you’ll see a whole lot of gloating goin’ on.

The screenshot above shows what the Twitter page now looks like.

The real domestic terrorist thinks the troll wannabe thug is doing a pretty good job? Would that include the racist BS that the guy is throwing down? Given Ammon’s dad Cliven’s racist claptrap, I am inclined to think so.

And not for nothing, but the admission that he isn’t who he says he is means that the troll is impersonating someone else, which is a TOS violation. Heh.

They are engaged in illegal acts dangerous to human life and they have threatened harm to others in order to change a policy of the government, that is the statutory definition of terrorism. Seriously (18 USC 2331):

The term “domestic terrorism” means activities that—
(A) involve acts dangerous to human life that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State;
(B) appear to be intended—
(i) to intimidate or coerce a civilian population;
(ii) to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion; or
(iii) to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping; and
(C) occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the United States.

Cynthia Dunbar (Remember Her?) Says Teaching Texas Kids about Climate Change Is ‘Socialized Education’

tfnblog.wordpress.com

The liberal media knows about Obama’s communistic world view. In support of its endorsement the New York Times stated about Obama that “He has drawn in legions of new voters with powerful messages of hope and possibility and calls for shared sacrifice and social responsibility….” Does this language not disturb us as Americans? If it doesn’t it is simply because we don’t understand the role of civil government from a Biblical World View as our Founders did. “Shared sacrifice and social responsibility” smack of Marxist Communism and redistribution of wealth. This is a completely anti-American, anti-Constitutional view of the role of Federal Government, and Marxism is diametrically opposed to a Biblical World View.

The 7 mountains are 7 sectors in society that mold the way we think, that is our culture is shaped by these spheres or mountains. Society is changed/transformed through all 7 mountains.

Actually…yes, they are actually using an alternate Bible.

You buy annotations that tell what the Bible “really” means. The text itself isn’t different, but the meaning of the parables and ornate language are transformed by the “notes” and “study guides.” For example, the Scofield annotation strings together Bible sections to create a justification for dispensationalist apocalypticism. David Barton’s use of scripture is another example: he tells you what the parable means.

It’s the same thing that used to get criticized by the pre-Reformation Church…between individual and God stands a dude who just happens to know what God wants.

There’s always someone in the middle. The author of the text, the compilers of canonical texts, the translator of the text, the interpreter of the text and the reader of the text are all important players.

No, I’m Dave, man….

I (rarely, but) sometimes get nostalgic for the days of Cheech and Chong, $35 ozs. of “Columbian Gold,” separating the seeds on a double album, and all. But I left that in the early 1980s.

Today I watched the HBO doc “Cape Cod, USA” about the opioid and heroin epidemic that is now rightly getting so much attention. We moved to northern New England just about three years ago, and the thing has exploded. The young people who were using in the doc (and two died during and just after the filming) were athletes, scholars, happy sons and daughters, for the most part. Most took pills in school first. It was just so fucking sad. It is fucking sad.

All that said, I’d be lying (and be a hypocrite) if I didn’t add that I’d be sorely tempted to try weed again if it were legalized here. Nice example for the kiddies, though.///

“…We told you over the holidays about Texas state Rep. Jonathan Stickland’s offensive “joke” about marital rape: “Rape is non existent in marriage, take what you want my friend!” Since then, Scott Braddock of the Austin-based political website Quorum Report has reported that Stickland, R-Fort Worth, is one of five Tea Partiers in the Texas House who voted last spring against legislation designed to make it easier to bring sexual predators to justice.

Stickland, and state Reps. Reps. Matt Rinaldi, Matt Schaefer, Tony Tinderholt, and Cecil Bell — all Republicans and Tea Party/religious-right heroes — voted against House Bill 189, which drops the statute of limitations in criminal sexual assault cases in which there is “probable cause that the defendant committed the same or similar crime against five or more victims.” It also extends the statute of limitations in civil cases against sex offenders. The bill passed with large majorities (just five “no” votes on the final bill), and Gov. Greg Abbott signed it into law.

As expected, the Palestinian false flag conspiracy theory that Flavia had subscribed to was started by Israeli wingnuts:

uriblau.com

PM Benjamin Netanyahu, President Reuven Rivlin and other politicians were quick to firmly condemn the attack. But while many in the Israeli public are disgraced by the events, some feel very differently and are expressing their views on social media.

Indeed, the investigation to find the attackers is at initial stage. Yet, hours after the attack conspiracy theories started to appear online, suggesting the attack was a vendetta, a result of an interior conflict in the village. “Zionist in My Soul” Facebook page is among the ones promoting this theory.

Another surfer created a mocking film like poster, using the photo of Muhammad Abu Khdeir, a Palestinian teen that was burned alive last year by Israelis. “Now on cinema - playing in loops in TV channels - Abu Khdeir 2,” the title reads. “hahahahah,” What an annoying face!!,” “looks like a gay” were some of the reactions to that post.

In relation to how nutty it has been, yes, I think so.

We are this close to the first real decision. No funky polls. No judging popularity by TV turnout for the reality debates. No funky journalists balancing things to keep interest…just real judgment. The pressure in on.

Trump wants Iowa. I think he thinks if he can knock out Cruz there he has easier sailing. His ego will not allow any other thinking. So Trump Cruz will be interesting in the depths it might go.

Then you have the others. They obviously haven’t been stupid enough. It is why their numbers are so low. Times a wastin’, time to goon it up and get as much out of Iowa as you can. If you are delusional like Christie and Kasich, you think you can win New Hampshire…so get as much out of Iowa as you can.

EDIT: Huh…also cool to note, he’s the first #1 pick to be enshrined, and joins Mike Piazza, the lowest drafted pick to be enshrined.

Accurate headline: “Republicans waste more time, tax dollars on election year stunt.”

A tiny little part of me wants Obama to hold a press conference with Ryan there and hold up his pen, while explaining what will be lost, placing all the blame on the repugs and signing it.

Finish with the statement along the lines of…. “If you want it back, you know what to do come November”

A small bad part of me sure, but I am getting sick of these consequence free votes just to play to the idiotic base. Shifty I know, but this sort of farcical behavior has to stop at some point.

Meanwhile, in Bubblehead II and I’s neck of the woods:

Boise police and fire investigators announced the arson determination in a news release Tuesday, four months after the Sept. 5 fire.

“We interviewed a number of vendors in the building and worked with a variety of outside agencies, including private fire investigation experts, to come to this conclusion,” Boise Police Fire Investigations Sgt. John Terry said in the release.

Romeo Gervais, deputy chief and fire marshal for the Boise Fire Department, said previously that the blaze began in the front section of the market.

The multicultural market was an incubator for 16 businesses. Many of the vendors were refugees from Middle Eastern and African countries. Some lost everything in the fire — except for large debts on loans used to purchase equipment, inventory and decorations.

“It’s heartbreaking to learn that someone set this intentionally,” market co-owner Lori Porreca said Tuesday afternoon. “It was bad enough for this to happen, but to find out it was arson makes it even worse.”

I’m sure at some time or other we’ve all wondered about this.

If you’ve been wondering why America Under A.k.a. Obama increasing resembles Hitler’s Reign of Terror over the German people, if you’ve noticed how the American Government is swiftly assuming the ugly shape of Third Reich National Socialism, if you’ve been witnessing international events with signature Nazi treachery, viciousness, and retaliation, time to meet a baby girl from three-quarters of a century ago.

Baby Girl Braun-Hitler.

Daughter to Eva Braun, and Nazi Third Reich Führer Adolf Hitler.

A baby girl falsely known, in the wildly wicked world of The “Obama” Conspirators, as “Stanley Ann Dunham”, mother to the man who fraudulently presents as “Barack Hussein Obama II”.

I expect that Trump will bring this up at the next debate.

Each of the delays - the medical device tax and the cadillac tax provisions add a couple billion dollars a year, every year, from their tax “cut”. That adversely affects the budget, not that they care about deficits when the Obamacare funding is involved.

They hope to kill the ACA through lots of little paper cuts, though they’ll still give it the old college try to repeal it while Obama is in office (and no doubt, they’ll continue with the next president too).

The first week in 2016 is turning out to be an epic week for conservatives in the United States going into full meltdown mode. I’ve asked myself ‘can it get any worse?’ over and over and conservatives always answer that question in the affirmative. Reading what Ted Cruz was saying in Iowa today made my jaw drop. The most powerful conservatives in the country are angling to destroy any sense of secularism in society. They see those that want to preserve progressive initiatives like rights for women and people of color, anti-racism in general, more progressive tax codes, etc., as people that need to be destroyed intellectually and spiritually. It’s fomenting more meltdowns and outright fascist rhetoric from conservatives. And it’s only the first week of 2016.

As usual, The Onion:

During a rally in Oregon for two ranchers convicted of arson, a group of anti-government protesters initiated the armed occupation of a federal building at the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. Here is everything you need to know about the militia standoff:

Where is the standoff taking place?

The headquarters of Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, future capital of the Free Republic Of America.

How did this start?

Protests began after local ranchers Dwight and Steven Hammond were ordered to return to prison because their time already served for committing arson did not meet minimum-sentencing laws, which, to be fair, often do more harm than good and are certainly worthy of reevaluation.

Who are the ranchers protesting against?

Gub’ment.

Why did the ranchers take over the federal wildlife building?

You big-city folk wouldn’t understand.

How many people are involved in the standoff?

An estimated 150 militia members who would otherwise be armed and spouting anti-government rhetoric somewhere else.

What are the protesters’ demands?

$5 million in cash and safe passage to 1874.

Is there legitimacy to their complaints?

Compared to the plight of the Oregon’s nearly extinct short-tailed albatross? Absolutely not.

Who is Ammon Bundy?

An American patriot who is currently living inside a government wildlife building in the middle of Oregon to defend ranchers who burned down 130 acres of federal land.

Are the protesters violent?

They have vowed to only seek a peaceful overthrow of the entire U.S. federal government.

How long are they planning to stay?

As long as their supply of whiskey and bison chili lasts.

What is the militia ultimately hoping to achieve?

Garner enough attention over next few weeks to be brought onstage during rally for a low-polling GOP candidate.

Is the protest going to work?

Nope.

I would so love to be there right now, just so I could get up to the mic and ask these ranchers how much the government paid them when it “took their land.” Because I seriously doubt that more than one or two of them lost land to the BLM without money exchanging hands. Hell, even in the wild-eyed fantasies of the “patriots,” the entire purpose of locking up the Hammonds was to bankrupt them so they’d sell their land to the BLM for cheap. There’s nobody “taking” anything here, as far as I can see, just a bunch of assholes feeling they should “get back” for free what they signed away for a government check.
