Report: Robert ‘LaVoy’ Finicum Shot and Killed While Charging Police

Militants tried to circulate a false story
US News • Views: 52,278

A false report about the showdown between the Bundy gang and federal authorities circulated rapidly on social media, kicked off by this tweet from Las Vegas Assemblywoman Michele Fiore; grotesquely, they were clearly trying to co-opt the Black Lives Matter theme of “hands up:”

But today one of the drivers of the vehicles carrying the Bundys and their accomplices has come forward to tell a very different story: Robert ‘LaVoy’ Finicum shot and killed while charging police, driver says.

BURNS – Robert “LaVoy” Finicum, the spokesman of the refuge occupation, was shot and killed after he charged police during a roadside stop north of Burns on Tuesday, according to a man on Facebook who claims to be the driver of one of two vehicles involved in the highway shooting.

Mark McConnell posted a video to Facebook Wednesday morning, recounting the Tuesday afternoon scene that led to Finicum’s death and the subsequent arrest of eight people involved in the Jan. 2 takeover of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.

Here’s that video:

The guy was an armed terrorist who would have been dead weeks ago if he were aligned with a group of African Americans or Muslims.

At what point can we send the FBI after Fiore? She’s obviously inciting insurrection against the government.

Also, it’s good to know that this is how blue tarp guy met his end. Things would have been bad if this had been the Michael Brown situation that Fiore and other traitors want to believe.

There’s an interesting story about how all this video gets to us. Back in the day, TV stations and networks would have had satellite trucks there feeding it back to their studios and then to us. Nowadays, the cameras often have 4G wireless modems right on the back of them. They use “bonded connections” - tying up multiple 4G connections - and go right through the same Verizon or AT&T networks the rest of us use. Sometimes the connections slow down. You can see that right now on MSNBC when the video gets pixilated.

The whole point of Michele Fiore making up this bullshit meme is to drag the Black Lives Matter into the conversation.

Right wingers will believe Fiore and others who weren’t even there that he was shot with his hands up, making people think that this was somehow akin to the BLM hands up don’t shoot mantra, all while having everyone ignore the prior position that these same people took that people should be deferential to law enforcement and that it will be peaceful if only you do what the police say.

Clearly, from the video, the nutter didn’t want to do anything peacefully. He wanted to go out in a blaze of glory. He’s still going to be buried 6 feet down. There was no glory in any of this. These people are domestic terrorists, despite what people like Mark Hemmingway think. Armed insurrection. Making threats against public officials and law enforcement to do nothing and that if anyone comes to effectuate a lawful arrest under federal law, they’d engage in violence.

Heck, even going back to the ranch, the Bundy nuts had their co-conspirators aiming their rifles at law enforcement. That’s not peaceful. That’s not in the same ballpark as BLM. It’s not even in the same universe, but Hemmingway wants people to think that there’s some kind of connection or analogy to be drawn here between people who are actual domestic terrorists and those who are seeking justice through peaceful protests (the BLM folks).

The whole point of Michele Fiore making up this bullshit meme is to drag the Black Lives Matter into the conversation.

Of course, and that will fly with various traitors that Fiore is egging on. But the general public isn’t going to be too sympathetic to a guy armed to the teeth charging law enforcement. Sane people won’t see a Michael Brown situation.

It seems that they’re playing off the old saying about welfare recipients (only the minorities) being lazy Democrats and no one on the left wants to work. They’re probably pissed off they had to take off their Klan stickers on their car a couple decades ago.

Don’t pretend not to understand. Why the random downdings?

You were caught yesterday dinging freetoken for no reason:

Turns out you regularly ding me too, again, for no discernible reason:

Maybe explain yourself?

Because it was annoying reading that user first talk about how the Democratic committee is committing a conspiracy against them by blocking streaming of the town hall. Then they went off about how it’s the cable companies fault they don’t pay for cable. Then it was the fault of CNN. And I downvoted those comments I did not agree with. Is that a problem? How is that taking advantage of the voting system? Did I create new user names and mass downvote? No. So again I have no idea what you’re talking about.

Dude, you’re not exactly making sense.
Again, you downding random comments.
Like this one. Or this one. There was nothing to “disagree with” there.

You’re behaving more and more like a troll.

Again, explain yourself.

Back in the Olden Tymes, one of the sure-fire ways to break WordPress was to have a comment thread exceed 1,000 comments.

Whole goddamn MySQL back-end would have a nervous breakdown. (*wheezes, shakes cane at modern CMSes*)

I went through 3 comments you and another user made and downvoted them because I disagreed with the nonsense you both were posting. I’m literally worse than Hitler. Go find someone else to play your victim complex against I did nothing wrong. Is there an ignore feature on this site? Time to find out.

It was more than “3 comments”. And once again you’re deliberately ignoring that there was nothing to “disagree with” in those random comments. Neither were they nonsense. Hence there was no reason to downding them. So you’re basically lying when challenged. Which makes you a troll.

That was the whole point of getting the “shot with his hands up” story out there early, so it could pick up traction and start generating memes…

This was all about escalation and giving the cause some martyrs to hold up as shining examples, and a 55-year-old tarp dwelling fugitive with a death wish is just the sort of icon that suits them
