Unedited Helicopter Video of FBI Shootout With Oregon Militant

US News • Views: 53,620

YouTube

This helicopter surveillance video corroborates the account of the driver of Ammon Bundy on the shooting of militant LaVoy Finicum in almost every detail.

This is the complete video footage of a joint FBI and Oregon State Police traffic stop and OSP officer-involved shooting of Robert “LaVoy” Finicum on the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge. This footage, which has only been edited to blur out aircraft information, was taken by the FBI on 01/26/2016 and released by the FBI on 01/28/2016. Note regarding date/time stamp in the left corner of video: Pilots use Zulu Time, also known as Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), when they fly. Zulu time is eight hours ahead of Pacific Standard Time (PST). Therefore, although this footage was taken on January 26, 2016 in Oregon, the date/time stamp on the video shows just after midnight January 27, 2016.

He evades police at around 8:20 and about 30 seconds later he tries to ram law enforcement and then gets gunned down.

re: #3 Wendell Zurkowitz (slave to the waffle light)

From about 9:00 on - when he comes upon the roadblock, runs off the road - appears to hit at least one officer with his vehicle, and then gets out of the truck to be confronted by cops converging from at least two directions (the tree line and the road).

Reposted from below:

The same folks who see no problem with cops gunning down Michael Brown or any number of other unarmed young black men (or women) who did absolutely nothing to warrant police action in the first place other than walking/playing/talking/living while Black, suddenly think that a Bundy militia domestic terrorist had their hands up and wasn’t going for a gun in his jacket pocket?

The FBI/OSP knew who they were coming up against. They had all kinds of evidence against all those in that convoy coming out of the refuge. They knew that this one was angling for suicide by cop, and had indicated as much in public statements. He wanted a confrontation, and even attacked law enforcement by striking one with his vehicle. He ran a roadblock.

Cops used an appropriate level of force considering the situation and the remaining suspects were arrested without any use of deadly force.

Dr. Matt  Jan 29, 2016 • 6:12:42am

In summary: an armed criminal is pulled over by law enforcement, then evades said law enforcement. He drives up the road where a roadblock is set. Rather than stopping at the roadblock, the armed and now dangerous criminal tries to drive around at high speed and almost runs over a law enforcement official. Rather than awaiting instructions, the the armed and dangerous criminal jumps out of the truck and then TWICE reaches down to his pocket, where a pistol was located, and law enforcement have no other option but to shoot the armed and dangerous criminal.

Nonetheless, it is now a Wingnut Article of Faith that he was gunned down in cold blood and is now a Holy Martyr to the Cause of Constitutional Resistance.

As for the video? It was faked/staged/altered, etc…

At 8:16 mark he takes off, drives up the road until he gets to the roadblock at about 9:15 mark, tries to drive around the roadblock almost running down an officer. He gets out of the vehicle with his arms spread out, not up, likely to keep his balance on a steep, slippery snowbank. As soon as he gets secure footing the hands come down and he reaches for his gun at about 9:30 mark.

Well this is unusual… Forecasts and weather models have really gotten much better. But not this weekend something has the models a bit confused. LA area lizards take note. El Nino.

IT IS STILL A VERY DIFFICULT AND FAIRLY LOW CONFIDENCE FORECAST FROM SATURDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY NIGHT. THE GFS…WHICH HAD BEEN VERY CONSISTENT…REALLY RAMPED UP PRECIP ON ITS 18Z RUN…THEN THE 00Z RUN BACKED OF SHARPLY. AT THE SAME TIME…THE 00Z WRF INCREASED PRECIP TOTALS IN MOST AREAS. THE 06Z RUN HAS THROWN ANOTHER WRENCH
INTO THE FORECAST. THE GFS IS NOW BACK TO A WETTER (THOUGH NOT AS WET) SOLUTION…AND THE WRF CONTINUES TO INCREASE RAINFALL TOTALS.
HOWEVER…IT IS AT LEAST 6 TO 9 HOURS SLOWER WITH THE ONSET OF MAIN PRECIP THAN ITS PREVIOUS RUNS. THE LATEST RUN OF THE GFS IS ALSO A BIT SLOWER. WITH INCREASINGLY DEEP LOW LEVEL MOISTURE AND LIFT AND
SOME WARM ADVECTION…STILL THINK THERE IS A FAIRLY DECENT CHANCE OF SOME RAIN SAT NIGHT…

If Zika is the causative agent behind the surge in microcephaly—and possibly also Guillain-Barré syndrome, an autoimmune disease of the nervous system now on the rise among adults in Brazil—this may demonstrate that the virus has adapted to the human environment and may have mutated to become more pathogenic to humans. A correlation between Zika and these conditions has not been confirmed, but previous studies have shown that it can be passed from mothers to babies in utero and also that it can infect the nervous system. What is worrying is that we don’t know what may have changed, and why.

WOAH!

Local network had a GOP consultant on this morning to talk about last night’s debate and the candidates. He was actually pretty critical of the candidates although he seemed to think Rubio had slightly the better night over Cruz. And he ripped Jeb for his response on immigration. Not sure who this guy was, but it confirmed the overall drift towards Rubio and away from Jeb that has characterized the GOP establishment response in recent months.

He wasn’t trying to ram law enforcement. He was trying to get around the road block. Let’s not be like them. If you watch closely you can see the officer run out and almost run in front of the vehicle.

I’ll grant you that one. It probably actually went like this: He never slowed down. The cop, fearing that LaVoy was going to ram the barricade, ran in the snow to get away from the collision. LaVoy, intending to go around the blockade, drove into the snow where the cop was heading.

Helicopter cam? Really? What if what you’re really seeing is this? After the illegal killing there is a cover up. What if first they tote the rest of the detainees to jail, Then they have an agent put on the dead mans hat and vest.Next they reset the roadblock down the road just a bit and have an agent drive the vehicle in the same manner around the roadblock into the snow. The other agent proceeds to jump out with hat and vest on and he reaches for gun TWICE to make sure they can get it on video from the whirley-rig.Fake a shot from the shooter, then the cowboy hat wearing agent falls down. I think the reason to watch is not about death porn as much as to see that law enforcement did their jobs and to get a feel for the bullshit that will be coming from all the wingnut militia types. I like to know bullshit is bullshit and I have actual proof of it.

The way the wingnuts want to make it seem is law enforcement was over eager. If they were all that over eager and wanted to just blow these guys off the face of the earth they had plenty of opportunity to ‘bonnnie and clyde’ that SUV while everyone was still in it for many minutes after LaVoy ran out.

Seems to me LaVoy had plenty of chance to get down on his knees with his hands up…the first time they were stopped on the road. He did not. The dude in the other video then explains very well the mind set and actions of Finicum.

Now watch the wingnut militia types slime the guy in the video and call him a police plant, pussy, etc., etc. You know it’s coming.

Well, it was a planned roadblock intended to arrest the leaders of the occupation while they were in ‘dark territory’ (there’s no cell phone reception in the canyon where these events played out), so I can see how a “They planned to kill him in advance!!1” narrative could take shape, though this video should put an end to all reasonable doubts about the shooting: It was Fully Justified.

Not a problem. I think that’s the most maddening thign about it to me. That the same people who insist this guy was murdered are the same people who tell us blue lives matter when we’re upset at the deaths of Mike Brown, Eric Garner, Tamir Rice, and so many others.

I’ll grant you that one. It probably actually went like this: He never slowed down. The cop, fearing that LaVoy was going to ram the barricade, ran in the snow to get away from the collision. LaVoy, intending to go around the blockade, drove into the snow where the cop was heading.

I agree. At first I was thinking maybe the sniper was running out to take a shot through the windshield.

I agree, but that would have been unintentional. I’m not a criminal lawyer, but I’m wondering if they could charge the other sovereigns with murder under the felony murder rule. That would be sweet.

Nobody tried harder than the police agencies to avoid bloodshed. Not a soul. The death is a shame, but I’m proud of our government policing in this instance. I’m old enough to have seen the SLA gunfight on TV. Then of course the now more famous Ruby Ridge and Branch Davidian incidents. Many of you of course share those tragic memories.

Damn it we did pretty good this time. I think that’s the takeaway despite the death of a guy that to all statements and appearances got the gunfight he wanted and lost. No good guys got hurt. Congratulations are in order here.

And just for you newer Lizards here, I hammer the police when I think they got it wrong. Feel free to search my Pages.

Honestly as I said yesterday, I hate that this guy died. I mean it’s obviously awful for his wife and kids but he chose go to Oregon. He chose to go there knowing that there was a chance this could happen. He even vowed they’d never take him alive which is what ended up happening. Honestly, to me he’s yet another victim of the Bundy’s perverted bullshit about how the federal government is bullying them. Ammon, Ryan, and Cliven should be apologizing to his family for spreading fear and lies that inspired him to go tehre in teh first place.

It’s not just the Bundy’s perverted bullshit. He is a victim of “the need for militia in America” thinking.

I bet if you go to Finicums house you will find favored militia reading material like The Turner Diaries, pamphlets from Aryan Nations, CCC, articles by Pat Buchanan and David Duke, Trump hats and bumper stickers…maybe a list of web addresses to all the White Nationalist and Patriot Movement sites and Christmas Cards from Jon Ritzheimer.

As Finicum drives through the roadblock, note the cop ducking away from the vehicle as it streaks into the snowbank.

I saw that, watched a few times yesterday. I’ve read a lot about these sovereign nutcases and actually conversed with a couple of them in the courthouse. I have a client now with a criminal matter who has some sovereign ideas. He’s a nice guy and I’m talking him out of it. The internet is dangerous for some people. It’s a distribution charge that probably would have been a possession charge had he not started spouting off about his constitutional rights when he was pulled over.

One sovereign nutcase tried to retain me in municipal court and it ended like this:

Me: (walking away) That’s all bullshit. You don’t know what you’re talking about.

Nutbag: You can’t get an attorney ID!

Me: If I want an attorney ID I’ll go to New Brunswick and get one!

This is true. It is, however, worth noting that so many precautions seem to generally be taken when perpetrators are white and thus sympathetic with the media and the general public. Minorities don’t get any such strenuous attempts to prevent bloodshed.

I’m critical of police misconduct but if police shoot a suspect going for what they know is a gun, I can’t really fault them too hard. Wouldn’t hitting a police officer in that situation be foreseeable regardless? He ran a large vehicle at a significant speed at a roadblock after apparently failing to stop for a lawful traffic stop. Just because he ran the thing into the snow, he would be aware and foreseeable that a police office could be injured if the vehicle spun, flipped, etc.

But there’s intent to run the roadblock and to put the lives of those at the roadblock at risk. The cop avoids serious injury only by luck.

If you’re the prosecutor, you’re framing this as intent to run the roadblock without caring about the safety of the law enforcement manning it.

If you’re the defense lawyer, you’re arguing that running off the side of the road was to avoid hitting the cops manning it and that it was accidental that the cop was even in the path of the vehicle.

I actually feel sorry for the defense attorneys who will be handling these cases. By this point, the best they can possibly hope for is to make some small dent in the final sentences for their clients. If any of them actually entertained the possibility for acquittal, the coming deluge of video and photographic evidence featuring their clients will quickly snuff that out.

I hope all these guys go to prison for a very, very long time. But throwing stuff at them that gives a defense any wins is a mistake in my eyes.

I can at least appreciate the conspiracy dude who thinks it’s an ooga booga agent in nutbar clothing. He, at least, sees that this criminal thug militia asshat went for a gun. Not once, but twice.

Just, seen the video. The reach inside his jacket was plain even from this distance, in fact the second attempt was pretty blatant, so I can see why people are saying “suicide by cop”. (And what is that motion with his right hand at 9:39 after he’s down? This was the hand that was reaching inside the jacket- did he have the gun in his hand at this point?)

But he definitely was not shot in the back, on knees with his hands up, as the myth puts it- he was shot slightly from the side, standing up, with his hand inside his jacket.

Shot at the 9:33 minute mark

I can at least appreciate the conspiracy dude who thinks it’s an ooga booga agent in nutbar clothing. He, at least, sees that this criminal thug militia asshat went for a gun. Not once, but twice.

I wouldn’t worry too much about the way Rightwingers/T’Baggers will spin Finicum’s death. You cannot force people to accept facts — all you can do is present them for everyone to see.

“Patriots” (aka White Terrorists) will always find a way to spin this story so that Finicum is a victim of government thuggery. But sensible people know that the government treated the Oregon Militants with kid gloves and no where as harshly as they would have treated darker skinned protesters. Remember how that police officer flipped and sat on that Black girl wearing a bikini in Texas? Conservatives had zero problems with that. Or with the other police shootings/assaults of Black people.

Once again their hypocrisy is showing.

And if I was on the jury, I would go with the defense on this part. I think a charge related to hitting or near hitting the cop would be a mistake. Even a failure to stop kind of charge could be countered with he was going to fast and this was his safest option.

I hope all these guys go to prison for a very, very long time. But throwing stuff at them that gives a defense any wins is a mistake in my eyes.

At least they didn’t let a Russian naval bomber overfly a carrier, like back in 2008:

American fighter jets intercepted two Russian bombers, one of which buzzed a U.S. aircraft carrier in the western Pacific on Saturday, U.S. military officials told CNN Monday.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said Tuesday that there was no violation of flight regulations during the incident. A ministry official said the flights are standard operating procedure for air force training.

One of them twice flew about 2,000 feet over the deck of the USS Nimitz Saturday while another flew about 50 miles away, officials said. Two others were at least 100 miles away, the military reported.

Michael Brown - “He charged at the cop, who feared for his life!”

Tamir Rice - “He reached towards his waistband, and that Airsoft gun looked totally real!”

Eric Garner - “He was trying to fight back! They piled on him to stop him from presenting a danger to them!”

Freddie Gray - “He ran from the cops! And he had a switchblade in his pocket! Plus he was a drug dealer, so why do I care if he’s dead?!”

Robert Finicum - “HE WAS TOTALLY PEACEFUL! HE HAD HIS HANDS UP! HE JUST WANTED TO TALK TO THE SHERIFF!!”

There was an article the other day (that I cannot find) where the author says the defense is pretty screwed since these geniuses documented everything; threats, guns, destruction, etc., etc., etc.

I wish I could find that article. It made me chuckle. These guys were really the Keystone Cops of criminals.

I’m considering voting for O’Malley. i am still not sold on Clinton totally but Sanders who was my first choice I’ve soured on since he really hasn’t shown me HOW he’ll accomplish his agenda.

I’m so torn on all of this.

My natural inclination is to support Sanders. It’s good that he’s out there, at least forcing the party to maybe come back from the center right area they’ve been in a for awhile.

That said, unfortunately, electability to the precious independents is a thing that needs to be considered. As people here and elsewhere have pointed out, if Sanders gets the nom, the GOP wins. Flat out. Because it’s going to be 2004 all over again. Instead of Kerry being a flip-flopper on Iraq, it’ll be “ZOMG, the Democrats want to turn the country into socialist hellhole Sweeden!”

And I still think the eye on the prize here is the Supreme Court. You think it’s a 24-hour extremist conservative shit show now? Just wait until a GOP POTUS gets his picks on.

I hate typing that, and worse thinking that, because in a perfect world, honest principles should win out over labels that are easily researched and dismissed. But this ain’t a perfect world, and we’re talking about the American electorate here.

My general attitude is support who you want, but if Sanders loses (which is probably still how this is going to turn out), don’t throw a tantrum and refuse to vote. Not that anyone here would do that, but I go to enough sites where that attitude is proudly screamed from the moment you hit the hyperlink to know it’s going to be a problem.

I never really subscribed to Dawkins that much too. I think Dawkins even before he reavealed himself as a sexist jerk though went out of his way to be a jerk to believers and yes I know many believers are the exact same way to atheists and that shit’s not right either. I am of the mindest, believe in god, don’t believe in god, it shouldn’t matter as long as you realize we’re all in this together. I think that’s ultimately why I have more respect for the Pope than Dawkins but likewise have respect for many atheists more so than many religious leaders.

Right, Bernie’s diehards can tell me WHAT all they want but what I want to know is with the likelidhood of a Republican controlled House and Senate- at least one, how he expects to get this stuff passed. Honestly, this idea that we’ll just protest is illogical. Sorry Bernie, I’m trying to find a career. I don’t mind protesting once and then but I don’t have the time to constantly protest. Sanders is our Ron Paul, our Crazy Uncle Liberty. He’s a guy who has no plan for how to make his ideals become reality, but that doesn’t stop him from trying to sell us on those ideals. He insists (and his supporters maintain) that if he’s elected, that means he got there because people support what he’s selling and they’ll run those who oppose him out of office. In the real world, if Sanders won, it would be largely on votes like myself and others who just didn’t want a President Trump. And I don’t think, I know that his supporters will either not bother to show up during the midterms or will…but will refuse to vote for an “establishment” candidate and instead either write-in somebody who’s not running or vote for a third party candidate who won’t command anywhere near enough votes to overcome the Republicans voting for an anti-Bernie candidate.

I doubt it is that well thought out. Remember, these idiots deny the very authority of the federal government. As far as they’re concerned, they have committed no crime. They’re LARPing in a world where they’re freedom fighters and in the right, fighting against tyranny. They’re not concerned about whether their weapons incriminate them. If that point from the Atlantic is true, I think, unbelievable as this sounds, the more likely explanation is that they don’t want the sanctity of their guns violated by oppressors. You know, sort of like how people might want the women and children to go free first. Except in this case they want the innocent guns to be freed, because guns are more precious than anything in their world.

That’s not snark, nor is it an off the cuff exaggeration of their stupidity. I do think that’s their hierarchy of values.

Except I think 3 of the 4 remaining weren’t going to have charges files. Could that change if the Feds find out there are explosives or fully automatic weapons?

I have suggested that Charles should build in one “mega-upding” feature, one which you could use, say, once per week that would allow you to give multiple updings to a particularly good post.

He had to end it all with “Fed set up, crisis actors”

No, he didn’t. That’s not the whole thing, which is why I posted the Facebook link.

Some key parts:

No wonder we’re laughed at.. (well not you…it’s the militia who’s going to take the brunt of the fall for this one…thanks…thanks a lot.)

I think its high time the militia distances itself from the so called patriot movement until such time that these people can learn a little discretion and more importantly some level of restraint.

Here’s just a bit of advice from a Militia CO who has the lives of his people in his hands… You want ME to act and place MY peoples lives on the line? Well first… how about you give me some SOLID VERIFIABLE intelligence first instead of a bunch of ridiculous speculation? Just a thought…

BOOM!

And on a final note… I was passed this video as I was typing this… apparently the three “militia” members who (who btw, made my newest recruits look like seasoned Navy SEALS) were running the live feed were what seems to be supposed crisis actors.. beforeitsnews.com

… now this poses some serious questions that all you keyboard warriors will no doubt NOT look into… like was this entire thing a set up? How many other crisis actors were involved? was this all a setup to finally get the Bundy’s? How did all of the people I outed as feds or fed assets avoid getting hit by this hail of gunfire? where the hell did Blaine Cooper disappear to? Why was Ritzheimer in Arizona when this all went down..and what made him go turn himself in?

As for Ritzheimer…that was my first tweet when this went down. Why was he not there? He of the biggest mouth out there…the top supporter…the key lieutenant?

I can’t believe I am saying this, but this militia guy sounds reasonable and thoughtful.

That scares me. Really scares me.

Spot on. I didn’t agree with your Paul analogy but the more I see from him and his supporters the more I agree.

Personally, I don’t have any problem with the Feds saying they won’t examine the weaponry, etc. when they get there. However, the Feds could request, I think, assistance from the OSP and have them examine the weapons and make the determinations as to legality, etc and then provide the Feds the info.

Ben Carson

Style: Impressively somnambulant. His first answer began, “You’re not going to hear a lot of polished speech from me,” and that was as coherent as he got. Brought the world the vision of “Putin, a one-horse country; oil,” a real string of words said on a real stage at a real debate by a real candidate.

Substance: Invoked “the 2 a.m. phone call,” because that’s a worse crisis than the 3 a.m. phone call — and because he will actually still be in a deep sleep when he answers. Hates political correctness, immigration, immigrants, not in that order. Something about inviting terrorists to dinner parties — like Obama, I guess. Also noted that he’s against government regulations, especially regarding sentence coherence spinach clown shoe propane gambling.

Grade: A sandwich made of dice.

Note: Dr. Real Ben Carson is apparently still in the race.

What hail of gunfire?

He was saying that there was no hail of gunfire. He is tearing down that girl’s supposed account of what happened:

Then we have the 120 bullets fired at the car that hit no one but Lavoy and Ryan Bundy. (ever seen what a 5.56 round will do to a car.?..probably not) I actually had someone show the sheer mental ineptness to try to argue with me that all the bullets hit the engine block. Because obviously FBI agents and state troopers NEVER train with their weapons. Her story has more holes in it that the vehicle she says was “riddled” with bullets. But the patriot community treated this thing like the freeking bible. Indisputable truth… give me a break.

Back in his younger days, he had some things that turned up on his background check. (Cultivating marijuana. DUI, failure to sign a summons) All from Maine, from 2008 and 2009. OK so in order to get a job he is finding he needs to do something about this stuff. Short story long he contacts somebody in Maine and found out he was supposed to be on parole. They want him to come back. He isn’t working yet so he doesn’t have much money right now. I am hoping to come up with a better suggestion that head for the hills.

There’s a whole shit show going on right over Dawkins’ latest series of tweets. It got him disinvited from an upcoming skeptics conference. The run down is here.

I’ve never got around to reading any of Dawkins’ books. I’m kind of glad I didn’t now, seeing what kind of clueless asshole he’s become. It sucks, too, because there’s always an undercurrent of “Heh, fuck those atheists, God is showing us they’re terrible” whenever he fucks up.

It’s amazing how many people view him as the leader of every non-believer in the world, when it takes less than five minutes to show more and more people are washing their hands of him.

I just think of him as the guy who was lucky enough to persuade Lalla Ward to marry him.

Some bad news for Donald Trump’s favorite black preacher.

State Court Orders Harlem Hate Church Be Placed At Public Auction Over Unpaid Bills

The church that thinks “Jesus would stone homos” is scheduled to be put up for public auction next month because their pastor hasn’t paid his debts.

A state judge ordered Atlah Worldwide Church to be sold at a public foreclosure auction after failing to pay creditors more than $1.02 million, court records show.

Church leader Pastor James Manning said in a phone conversation with DNAinfo New York that the foreclosure was mostly over unpaid water and sewage bills and vowed to fight the order, claiming his church’s tax exempt status means he doesn’t have to pay.

“I assure you, it’s about a water bill and a tax that can’t be levied against this church,” Manning said. “I think it’s a land grab quite frankly.” What Manning didn’t say is that there are nine federal tax liens against him totaling more than $355,000 from as far back as 2002. He also owes New York State for more than $28,000 and other creditors more than $30,000, public records show.

This morning, I was thinking about how stupid these guys were to so carefully document their crimes, and share them so freely with the world, so that the prosecuting attorneys can so easily prepare an airtight case using their own words and images.

I suddenly thought of Gil Scott-Heron’s poem, “The Revolution Will Not Be Televised”, and I thought, “No, but it will be live-streamed.”

I get it. My point was, depending on how the defense presents it, some ONE on a jury might take that side (the way Lawhawk presented it [sorry LH], I would have). One hangout creates a situation I do not want. I want these guys behind bars, with certainty by the jury, that they deserve to spend their remaining (or mostly remaining) days far, far away from society.

No apology needed. The jury’s going to hear spins on versions of the events. The defense will argue that he panicked and then drove into the ditch to avoid killing any cops at the roadblock. He doesn’t have to offer actual proof - only sow doubt as to the facts/circumstances provided by prosecutors. And a defense attorney would try to sow doubt. That’s all they have to do.

Call the county bar association in Maine in the county where the charges originated. Ask them if they have a reduced fee plan for low income people and can refer him to an attorney. You can also check out this link.

courts.maine.gov

He is going to need an attorney and he wants to find one in the county where his problems arose. Get on the phone and the internet and start making calls. He should also be looking into whether he will have problems becoming a nurse with these charges because that can definitely be a problem. I had a nursing student with a heroin possession charge and she was very concerned about her license. He should have investigated these issues before going to nursing school.

After checking out my old Bowsite stomping grounds this morning, I’ve concluded that for most folks the FBI video is pretty clear, and shows Finicum brought about his own demise. Some even pointed out that they were damned lucky, in fleeing the initial stop, not to have been completely peppered with bullets at the roadblock.

But there are, of course, holdouts who say things like “Maybe he was already shot, and was reaching to put his hand on the wound!”

Everything now is a Rashomon moment, where even the most simple and clear things leave the audience divided, with some seeing exactly what they want to see.

Right. And that’s their job, so I would fully expect them to defend their client with everything they had. That’s how it works (whether I like it sometimes or not. ;-) That’s why I don’t think adding on those charges makes sense.

At this point, their defense is going to have to counter everything these guys did to themselves in stunning color and often-crisp sound.

Just my humble, non-attorney take on it.

Retreating Clinton Campaign Torches Iowa Town To Slow Advance Of Sanders Volunteers

HUMBOLDT, IA—After making sure to douse every home, farm, and business located in the municipality with gasoline, retreating Clinton campaign staffers reportedly set the central Iowa town of Humboldt ablaze Friday to stem the advance of Bernie Sanders volunteers. “Once we received word the Sanders campaign had begun canvassing in nearby Fort Dodge, we only had a matter of hours to burn everything to the ground,” said communications director Jennifer Palmieri, who tossed a lit torch through the window of the town’s hardware store before rushing over to help a group of Hillary for America workers erect a roadblock made of dead livestock to prevent all entrance to and exit from the city. “With so little time left before voting day, we simply can’t allow them to establish a foothold in this part of the state. Besides, you can’t convince anyone to caucus for Bernie Sanders if the civilian population is gone and all that’s left is smoldering rubble.” At press time, Clinton campaign staffers were spotted rigging a nearby bridge with C-4 as they hastily retreated to Algona.

Facebook Post

The bomb was the T-12 Cloudmaker. Only a few prototypes of which were built. One is preserved, presumably in de-activated condition, at the Aberdeen Proving Ground.
This is still the record for the heaviest bombload released in one flight.

“Presumably” because in 1958, British armorers set out to move a 10 ton Grand Slam bomb that had been displayed for years outside RAF Scampton, only to discover that it was, in fact, still filled with explosive and still had an active fuse. EEEEK! The unwelcome relic was very carefully loaded onto a trailer and transported to a bombing range, where it was rigged with some small demolition charges and destroyed. The main charge did in fact go off when the demolition charges were remotely triggered.

You have to hit those block buster bombs.. Just right

What an evil little motherfucker Baby Whiplash is, just like his boy-crush Milo.

She didn’t sue right away, 1) she was intimidated 2) she didn’t know she had a case
Harassment can go on for YEARS if the victim doesn’t know how to stop it, and is in no condition to look for a better job.

The Toledo Zoo announced Thursday that Crystal, a 16-year-old polar bear, gave birth to a cuddly cub on Dec. 3.

My parents used to take us to the Toledo Zoo, the Cleveland Zoo and the Columbus Zoo as kids. I hadn’t thought about Toledo zoo for a long time. Good to see they are still getting some recognition.

Speaking of Zoos, Columbus Zoo and Aquarium has really grown over the last 30 years. For a long time it was considered one of the top 2 in America, but there are all kinds of rankings. It does seem to make a lot of lists and it sure is treated as one of our jewels.

And “Jungle Jack” Hanna sure helped turn it around in the 80s being all over TV shows like Late Night and the Tonight show, etc.

Why is Shapiro talking about such an old case anyways? This is just another way for Republicans to piss off women voters.

There’s a rumor going around that the real reason he boycotted the debate is that Fox refused to pay him $5 million for his appearance. Also, that the “Veterans group” that Donald is giving this money to is just one guy.

I sure hope all of The Donald’s nasty business dealings get the full light treatment if he makes it put of the primaries. Mr. Lump does not deserve to be president by totally hoodwinking the population even if many are too stupid to read up on the real Donald Lump.

I kind of read the judge like this…

Nothing will happen until everyone is gone from the refuge.

Oh, they’re gone? Good.

No bail as they are all flight risks.

IANAL, but considering only one is from Oregon, it seems they are definitely flight risks. There is nothing to tie them to the area, other than wanting to cook more snacks, consume more beer, and commit more acts of vandalism in the bird refuge.

Because Obama just issued an Executive Order related to the issue of gender pay inequality and whenever Obama says or does something Ben has to complain.

I used to volunteer at the Toledo Zoo 30 years ago——-live animal demonstrations in their educational programs. I mostly worked with an eastern indigo snake. The room sure got quiet fast when I entered holding a big old snake.

I always wanted to get training for handling the snowy owl but we moved away from Toledo before I ever could.

We used to be members of the Bay Area Reptile Society (we’re lizard lovers), and there was a member who would bring his adult Burmese Python to meetings. It would wonder around the audience. He’d come up over your shoulder, look at you and keep on moving.

Mind you, you had to be cool with a snake as thick as your arm gliding over your shoulder and across your lap. But if you weren’t cool with it, you’d probably not be there.

Yep, not a Hanna fan, but he definitely raised the quality and image of the Columbus Zoo.

Watching the comments section on the Fox News article with this video was interesting. Watching the wingnuts try to spin the video into a premeditated execution was mind bending. It simply had to be a conspiracy to murder. And the victim, well he did nothing wrong at all. There was no gun in his hand, so why was he shot. And we even got the now familiar refrain, he was shot with his hands up. These were of course people supportive of the whole sovereign citizen, militia and ranchers disenfranchised by the BLM/federal gov thing. And, the occupiers of the refuge did nothing wrong, presented no threat, etc. Only in wingnut land.

He wasn’t trying to ram law enforcement. He was trying to get around the road block. Let’s not be like them. If you watch closely you can see the officer run out and almost run in front of the vehicle.

Yeah, because there was a fucking truck headed for the car he was behind. He didn’t swerve until the last moment, and I guess the officer didn’t think he was gonna.

For those who might want to dissect it, the Oregonian has a slowed down version of the shooting.

And looking at that, I’m not so sure he actually gets his hands up so much as outstretched.
