This must be the token “social issues” part of the debate.

Should last two more minutes tops, followed by scads of blaming the poors.

The ‘intent’ may not have been to poison flint, but the failure to act when things were coming to light is a negligence and a reckless endangerment. Had they acted when things were first coming to light (I mean in private emails, not when it hit the fan), then I would give them the benefit of the doubt.

But not with how they acted with flint.

So, I’m not buying this idea that this debate is splitting the GOP.

I think the story isn’t that complicated.

It is pretty clear that Fox does this for ratings, not for real News.

What else Big Daddy has planned is beyond me, but I really do believe that Fox News will do better business with Hillary in the WH than if one of these 4 are in the WH.

Almost certainly this nomination process will depend upon the Ohio and Florida votes on the 15th. If Trump wins both of these then it will be hard for him to not end up with at least an overwhelming plurality, if not outright majority.

Tonight Donald took some hits. But Rubio is in such a hole in Florida it might not matter.

My band played a gig in Detroit this past Saturday night a few miles from the Fox Theater in the Mexicantown area at El Zocalo. Awesome area, great people, we had a blast. These fuckwads on stage tonight can all go fuck off. In my opinion the worst thing that happened to Detroit in the last 60 years was when the auto companies recruited busloads of hillbillies from KY, TN and WV to move to Detroit to fill jobs in the auto factories. They brought their “culture” that eventually boiled over in the 1968 race riots and that led to white flight and the urban sprawl that sucked the lifeblood out of the city.

The good news is the young kids from the suburbs are moving back into the city and the auto industry is bringing in young technical workers from around the USA and the globe. Like it or not the Detroit area is still very much the hub of the US auto industry. All the apartments in Downtown and midtown are full, and there is a real feeling that the city is coming back strong. No thanks to the GOP.

Yeah I know, it was fucking nuts. If it wasn’t for Detroit techno, French acts like Daft Punk wouldn’t have existed. Their entire career is owed to the pioneers of Detroit techno like Robert Hood, Jeff Mills, and “Mad Mike” Banks of Underground Resistance fame. Laurent Garnier gives full props to Detroit.

It still saddens the fuck out of me to see Paris hit in that horrific fashion.

I need a strategy for counseling.

I came to the conclusion last night I am not ready for a relationship. The horrific levels of paranoia that have developed over my life up to now means I am pushing away friends, and that would kill any relationship before it starts.

I also got a situation with my minor from when I was at University resolved. So job ideas in the DFW are might be good. I am a Geography Major, with Poli Sci and Middle Eastern Studies Minors. And I might be taking GIS classes later in the year.

I’ve only seen Underworld live, and that was at Sydney’s Bondi Beach for NYE 2008. It was truly magical to experience the iconic ‘Born Slippy’ at a beach as a way to welcome the new year ahead of everyone else in the world. It was just sooo awesome.

Heh, I’m talking even more old school! Back to the roots of the real Motown, and how that influenced all the people that came out of the Detroit scene from the late 50s, 60s to the 70s and how it all grew and then went away at the same time as the auto industry.

I don’t know a whole hell of a lot about electronic music of the 90s on…but I still imagine if it came from Detroit then it is all going to still be influenced by the past and have those strong grooves that were always a part of the city’s sound. It will still be about the plight of the city. A lot of great music comes out of depressed times and areas.

I definitely don’t disagree at all. So much of the Detroit Motown of the 60’s and 70’s was reinvented in the UK as the “Northern Soul” sound that also influenced electronic music as well.

Detroit techno has its origins in the 80’s, and we have Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream, and Yellow Magic Orchestra to thank for making that possible.
