Nice thing about militias like that is that they either die or run easily. That’s the history of militias in America though so no surprise.

I just remembered a point I was going to make about Trump cancelling the rally in Chicago last night.

Remember when he complained about Bernie being weak and not a leader when he allowed the Black Lives Matter people to take over the microphone and podium at a rally late summer of ‘15 or so and Bernie got frustrated and walked away?

The Great Leader of Strength Trump outdid him. He gave up on his entire rally and not only didn’t have to walk out, he never showed up and apparently lied about the police and him agreeing it was best.

Cool. Hillary is on MSNBC from Cleveland talking about Ohio’s voting malarkey and started to get into the Supreme Courts ruling on the voting rights act. Then she paused and stated to make a big point about how she hoped the folks listening to her get out to vote Tuesday and more importantly vote all the time so that we get Democratic state legislators, judges, country reps, more congress seats and Governors.

I can’t imagine Rage Furby making it through basic without getting the boot on a “Failure to Adapt” General Discharge. Imagine him taking orders from a black DI for example. If he did make it somehow he’d be one of those guy’s you just don’t trust so you always make him walk point when on patrol. Let him trip the mine or the ambush.

“A hideous ecstasy of fear and vindictiveness, a desire to kill, to torture, to smash faces in with a sledge hammer, seemed to flow through the whole group of people like an electric current, turning one even against one’s will into a grimacing, screaming lunatic. And yet the rage that one felt was an abstract, undirected emotion which could be switched from one object to another like the flame of a blowlamp.”

The Toronto Star quotes the President about the current state of GOP politics:

“How can you be shocked?” he asked to laughter from the crowd, according to a transcript. “This is the guy, remember, who was sure that I was born in Kenya — who just wouldn’t let it go. And all this same Republican establishment, they weren’t saying nothing. As long as it was directed at me, they were fine with it. They thought it was a hoot, wanted to get his endorsement. And then now, suddenly, we’re shocked that there’s gambling going on in this establishment.”

This is why I keep pointing out that nothing will change so long as individual Republicans and the the GOP strategists keep trying to shed Trump, but retain the pattern of fanning rumors, perpetuating falsehoods, and running on fear.

Read the whole thing though.

Compatriots:
I am certain I do not need to tell you that we are facing a crisis. In fact, we are facing the greatest threat to our heritage in modern times. The forces arrayed against us are formidable. Their first declared goal is to remove the Confederate Battle flag which flies beside the Confederate Soldier’s monument in Columbia, South Carolina. It was put there in 2000 as part of a political compromise. But do not be fooled into thinking they will stop there. The radical leftists who are driving this crisis are committed to the complete eradication of all things Confederate.

I am so fucking sick of people bitching about “SJWs” and college kids. Is there sometimes perhaps overzealousness, sure but at the same time I’d much rather have that than Rod’s world where people who are different get treated like crap.

Rod is a not-so-closeted authoritarian. He openly and enthusiastically despises American individualism, and prefers a Medieval communitarian system where you damned well knew your divinely ordained role in the greater scheme of things and complaining about it was simply not heard of.

I’ve not really watched a Trump rally. Seeing a debate is bad enough. But I’m working on some video stuff and have Trump on in the background for noise. It’s noise all right.

What the hell is this? He’s went on about talking about his Great Harrowing Escape from the White ISIS Not From ISIS Bad Dude From Dayton Ohio™ for 20 minutes.

The rest is all the crap he always says. I guess you really have to want to wallow in this to even begin to get anything out of it. And that is easy to do, because he repeats the same story over and over at the rally. Like waterboarding. How many times will he say “they chop off heads?”

It would take one hell of a team of creative writers to write this Trump character into an election. You could make a movie of it and people wouldn’t believe it.

Mandatory epistemological whinge of the day:

Your sentence is how this group ascertain veracity.

A guy they like—and assign cultural power to—is repeating lines over and over. Everybody in the crowd agrees loudly. Therefore, the story must be have some element of truth. That the people that object are protesters…and evil media!…is further proof of its truth, because It Is Known that everybody outside of the group are liars and conspirators. After the narrative re-circulates through acceptable media—Twitter, websites, et cetera—it will be viewed as confirmed, and thus True.

I applaud all of the protesters, no matter who they support.

Missouri, the state that gave us David Rice Atchison and Rush Limbaugh. I didn’t think it would be all roses.

Turn the protest pressure on and make him break Brownshirt early. That’s how to sink him. Very interesting.

And the SMOTI, Jim Hoft.

re: #224 Skip Intro

No kidding? You mean they didn’t intentionally let a known ISIS guy get within a couple of yards of Trump?

It’s darkly amusing to me that ISIS has become the go-to for “bad” in the Drumpfenverse.

Protester? Must be ISIS.
Guy rushing the stage? ISIS.
Reporters? Probably ISIS.
Brown people? ISIS.

They’re a fill-in-the-blank villain.

Here’s the sick truth: ISIS wouldn’t have missed.

“The Snake”

On her way to work one morning
Down the path along side the lake
A tender hearted woman saw a poor half frozen snake
His pretty colored skin had been all frosted with the dew
“Poor thing,” she cried, “I’ll take you in and I’ll take care of you”
“Take me in tender woman
Take me in, for heaven’s sake
Take me in, tender woman,” sighed the snake

She wrapped him all cozy in a comforter of silk
And laid him by her fireside with some honey and some milk
She hurried home from work that night and soon as she arrived
She found that pretty snake she’d taken to had bee revived
“Take me in, tender woman
Take me in, for heaven’s sake
Take me in, tender woman,” sighed the snake

She clutched him to her bosom, “You’re so beautiful,” she cried
“But if I hadn’t brought you in by now you might have died”
She stroked his pretty skin again and kissed and held him tight
Instead of saying thanks, the snake gave her a vicious bite
“Take me in, tender woman
Take me in, for heaven’s sake
Take me in, tender woman,” sighed the snake
“I saved you,” cried the woman
“And you’ve bitten me, but why?
You know your bite is poisonous and now I’m going to die”
“Oh shut up, silly woman,” said the reptile with a grin
“You knew damn well I was a snake before you took me in
“Take me in, tender woman
Take me in, for heaven’s sake
Take me in, tender woman,” sighed the snake

re: #226 Brother Holy Cruise Missile of Mild Acceptance

I just listened to that whole…whatever it was…He’s inciting them even more and I fully expect that there will be violence against not only protesters but given that he is blaming it on Sanders people I have a sickening feeling that trump bots will also assault people at sanders rallies.

Mr. Invincible Trump®. Why not follow?

Best hate in town. Moving hate. Feel the power of hate. Go out and multiply and WE WILL TAKE THIS ELECTION. And then take. Take. Take. Take.

He is making fiction real. I am scared of how much he may make history repeatable.

I think I got Birgitt’s last button. The one on the upper right. I apologize if someone got it earlier.

That’s what I said this afternoon - that it looked like a cat with Trump hair!
