Fox’s Eric Bolling Dumps Michelle Fields From His Weekend Hatefest

When right wingers turn on each other
Media • Views: 55,127

More fallout from the incident in which Donald Trump’s campaign manager allegedly assaulted Breitbart “News” reporter Michelle Fields; Fields has now been unceremoniously dumped by Fox News host Eric Bolling, after appearing weekly on his show “Cashin’ In” for years.

After Fields was grabbed and nearly yanked to the ground by Corey Lewandowski, hung out to dry by her own employers at Breitbart News (who later vowed to sue her), and maliciously smeared by the Trump campaign, nearly all of her colleagues at Fox have publicly and repeatedly shared their support. But not Bolling.

Instead, according to multiple sources close to the situation, she received a phone call from Bolling’s producer informing her that she will no longer appear on Cashin’ In.

Fields was told that she’s off the show because she is no longer “impartial” to Trump and therefore cannot speak objectively on his candidacy so long as it’s in the news.

They might not want Trump to win…but, dammit, they want back those luscious Trump voters.

They spent all that time and energy grooming them.

While the host framed the question by scolding the president for making a nomination, King countered by scolding Republican leaders for refusing to give him a chance.

“I disagree with some of the Republicans in that the process itself, the Constitution should be respected,” he said. “I think senators should meet with him. And I think they should also consider having hearings. Not bring it to the floor for a vote, but have the hearings so the American people can see what Judge Garland’s views are.”

The American Right Wing has evolved into a paranoid, schizophrenic loony bin. This nonsense is led by a paranoid loon in Donald Trump, propagated by a loony-bin Fox News alter-universe, and catering to a paranoid, frightened, entitlement-accustomed group of rage-filled bigots.

Their rage against Obama and a rapidly changing America has been met with laughter and wonder around the world, but their internal conflicts display their politics as they expect the world to operate. Callous, mean in spirit, and just plain weird.

Trump really has disrupted the wingnut grifting outrage machine.

It will be interesting to see how this will all shake out.

Didn’t Erick have a big meeting of minds today to figure out how to run a 3rd party candidate? Any news on that?

Thank you Backwoods_Sleuth

This about sums it up:

Per three people familiar with the talks, the mood of the room was muted and downbeat. Attendees voiced frustration with the lack of coordination so far and wondered aloud whether Trump could be halted. The third-party scenario drew intense interest, but it was also acknowledged that it would be logistically and financially difficult with few high-profile politicians willing to take the political risk that such a run would entail.

I am shocked that Erick and all would waste people’s time with such a nothingburger. Shocked!

I am sure a lot of people in the Senate didn’t like John Adams in 1800 either and yet after he had lost the election, he still got to pick John Marshall, perhaps one of the most brilliant and important Supreme Court justices ever.

OK, for you few flood aficionados: The great northwest Louisiana flood is still a catastrophe for thousands, including my mom, whose home is lost.

The good news is that the water on our lake has fallen by a foot and a half in the past couple of days, so that my own little place is relatively safe for me and Mama and the kitties for now. The bad news is that the water still has to recede by another foot before it reaches the level of the preceding highest crest in history.

The miraculous news is that my satellite dish and its sensor head, which spent three full days completely submerged under muddy water, slowly reemerged then woke me in the night by showing all its modem ready lights. Incredibly, it lives again. I have to write a testimonial to my service company.

It’s, frankly, an insane strategy. They have to know that their chances at the WH are slim-to-none at this point, and who fucking knows what kind of whackjob Trump might nominate. They are just hugely unlikely to have the chance to replace Scalia with an equally reactionary pick. Basing your strategy around that idea is ludicrous. When weighted probabilistically, it’s a huge downside for a tiny upside.

Their best bet, in a cold political sense, is to solidify the Senate so they can continue to block Clinton as they have Obama. This would mean a rapid confirmation of a centrist SC pick. Obama has offered them an olive branch, a real chance for the GOP to save face. Instead, as usual, they will light their faces on fire. No voter is going to sit out the election because the GOP actually did its job. The only ones who might are too stupid to be following things this far in advance in the first place.

Republicans just really aren’t very smart.

I’m not sure it’s that, exactly — Supreme Court worries are about the longest-term issue in American politics, except maybe redistricting.

It’s more that Republicans are very good at tactical decision-making and often very poor at the strategic side. Since the demise of the Rove neocon wizardry, the GOP has made very intelligent small-scale moves (or at least have done a good job of finding the least-bad option) but they make these decisions without an understanding of how they feed back into other parts of the whole. The SC thing is an excellent example, where they’re doing what is, in a vacuum a not-terrible job of holding off evil liberal court decisions. Thing is, they are doing that ignorant of what the presidential race is shaping up to be, and without an understanding they might be throwing away the Senate in the process.

I’d struggle; Oh I’m sure if I only had a conscience,
‘round Hogmanay or March seventeen,
Surely it’s a sin to be sober & godless
When half the bloody world is wearin’ green.

I’d sing a song of old, draw tears from a statue,
And I was nae one to spare the beast the rod,
Tho’ I still feared the mystic powers of smoke & strong whisky
To lay me low before an angry God.

I feel the same way about Robert Reich whenever I see him explain much the same thing. I’m sorry but Bernie hasn’t had a night where he’s gained delegates since New Hampshire. They can brush off the states all they want but that’s a stupid thing to do for a candidate.

Mattand  Mar 17, 2016 • 6:41:10pm

Bernie Sanders was just on Maddow. Some observations:

1) He wouldn’t say it outright, but his attitude is basically “I don’t care how far behind I am or how much it fucks over Democrats’ chances in November, I’ll never concede.” Thanks, Senator.

2) Dovetailing off of that, he’s seems to be copping an attitude of “Sure, we’re way behind but we’ve got HRC right where we want her.” You underestimate Sanders at your peril, but I’m beginning to think he’s hired Wile E. Coyote as one of his campaign strategists.

3) Sanders made the case that if Dem turnout is low, we get President Trump. Sanders feels he’s the best bet to get people to turn out.

I find this hilarious, as some of the more nihilist Bernie Bros are very upfront about fucking the Dems over if they don’t get their way. If I was really paranoid, I’d think Sanders was issuing a veiled threat. I don’t think that’s the case, though.

I suspect Rachel’s mixing herself some especially stiff drinks at 10:01 every night these days, given what a dumpster fire MSNBC is turning itself into. Yeah, that was Michele Bachmann as a guest on Hardball earlier tonight. I’m sure there are nightly fights behind the scenes about carrying live Trump speeches in Rachel’s timeslot, and she can’t fend them off forever.

For now, Rachel’s still the nominal star of the network and so they can’t get rid of her, and to an extent she’s able to protect Chris Hayes and Lawrence O’Donnell, but those primetime shows clearly aren’t the direction in which MSNBC’s new overlords are pushing the network.

I don’t know why we need a second CNN given how awful the first one is, but daytime MSNBC seems to have become a total CNN clone, right down to the inane countdowns and the return of the crawl (IN ALL CAPS NO LESS). I’m sure they’ll send the primetime shows packing as soon as they find a way, at which point the network that once gave us Keith OIbermann will be dead to me.

And where does Rachel go then?

Just listened to Charles Barkely talking about feeling Clark Kellog’s body. Both repelled and vaguely aroused at the same time.

Too bad Clark’s knees couldn’t take the beating he gave them from jumping like a spring-loaded machine.

I remember him all the way back into high school. I saw him play against my old school a few years after I had graduated. Our team was not bad, but we were a small division Catholic school. If I remember correctly our high school team made it to the state finals that year too.

Our school and Cleveland St. Joseph played every year. It was a Catholic School thing…almost like a conference. I saw Kellogg score like 50 points and take over 20 rebounds because he out jumped the entire gymnasium. Our center who went to play in college himself (Div 1) was so over matched he ended up watching Kellogg all game. Kellogg was something else.

And then he went to Ohio State and I saw almost every home game. A good friend had family that worked at the university and we got season tickets every year. It was great having those and not having to pay. Kellogg proved he should leave early and go to the NBA after 3 years at OSU. Sadly he only got to play 4 years and a couple knee operations.

But he has done well for himself. Got his marketing degree just a few years back, so he kept at it. He was appointed to the OSU Board of Trustees. He’s loved here in Columbus.

There are two versions of that cartoon, the nice “Once Upon A Wintertime” song and figure-cutting hearts on the ice version, and the scary, falling through the ice and floating downstream to the waterfall version.
