Definitely making memories for many folks.

Thanks, Obama.

President Cruz would have slutshamed her—in Spanish. President Trump would whip out a bilingual pre-nup.

Wait they’re actually freaking out about this? Sad even for them. Glad he’s visiting these countries. I don’t remember the last time an American president visited Argentina.

That’s the song from the beginning of Schindler’s List by the way. I think it’s called Por Una Cabeza.

Michelle could rock an Argentine Tango. She’s lithe and fierce. I see Obama as a waltz man. In control and smoooooth. I bet he’d do a very entertaining Quickstep as well.

It’s also the epic scene with Al Pacino and Gabrielle Anwar (sp?) in Scent of a Woman, one of my fave movie scenes ever.

It’s pretty neat though how different cultures have different dances. This is why I could never be President, I’d embarrass myself but Obama seemed pretty comfortable up there with the Tango dancer. That really is a beautiful song.

I’m absolutely stunned by how innocuous that was. The still image would have you believe he was dancing the Lambada. ONE NOTHINGBURGER, LARGE FREEDUMB FRIES, AND A STUPID SHAKE, COMIN’ RIGHT UP.

Let me guess how this is going down:

I still need to see that. It’s a terrific song and that it’s about horses makes me think about my dad’s folks who raised them.

Pretty much. I just saw this comment on an FB story about the Obama tango:

Shameful! While the rest of the world is in mourning over the terrorism going on around the world he is leading the tango, not leading his country or his government.

All of the responses pretty much uniformly tell that person to STFU. Even self-described Republicans are telling them to pipe down.

1993, Rockefeller’s West in Houston, I went to a A Tribe Called Quest gig with one of my best friends. After a few adult beverages, I jumped onstage and started dancing with Phife Dawg. He looked at me like I was crazy, and I promptly got thrown out. I begged the representative with Houston’s finest to let me back in, and he said “If you do it again, I’m taking your little ass to jail.” I smiled, went back in and had the time of my life. RIP, Phife Dawg. #ATCQ4LIFE

It’s just pathetic how everything for people like that is an excuse to bitch about Obama. They have no idea what the hell he’s doing behind the scenes. But I get it a fake tough guy like Trump who talks about murdering innocent people makes them feel better because ti gets their blood juices running.

I remember a few weeks ago when Obama said that he and Michelle may stay in DC after his term ends so that his daughters could finish at their school. RWNJ’s freaked out, swearing it was him saying that he wasn’t going to leave office, that there would be a coup or martial law of some kind.

Really, I don’t know how some of these people manage to tie their shoes in the morning.

Well, I’m outta here for the evening. I was going to have a nutruious and balanced meal of home made linguine with clams and olive oil, but it was such a hectic day that I decided to have a couple of chili-cheese dogs. (and with this set of facial hair, that’s not a decision I make lightly). I’ll do the clams tomorrow. (they are canned, they’ll keep.)

Sleep well, and may you not awaken with drool on your pillow and a crick in your neck.

This time last night Liz Mair was patting herself on the back for stirring up the nasty Twitter exchanged between Trump and Cruz by putting together an ad showing racy GQ shots of the current Mrs. Trump…I guess that is her idea of libertarian feminism or something.

Tonight she is responding on Twitter to the fact that some Trumpster apparently published her home address and says she is going to be taking time off over the holiday weekend.

Now there is absolutely no excuse for that kind of invasion of privacy and implicitly endangering her and her family. However, there is a certain aphorism about what can happen when one climbs into the ape house at the zoo which seems to apply.

NEVADA
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, or more accurately back on our public land, Cliven Bundy’s surviving cattle, some 1,000 animals, are “mean and ornery,” says Assistant U.S. Attorney Charles Gorder. The Justice Department calls Bundy’s ranching operation “negligent to the point of cruelty in sending half-wild cattle to graze illegally on protected lands without supervision.” Unvaccinated and susceptible to illness, “the cattle have little contact with humans, and Bundy often has no idea where they are,” reports the Los Angeles Times. Ken Mayer, former director of Nevada’s Department of Wildlife, adds that trying to round them up is “like hunting cape buffalo. They’re nasty, they’re smart, and they won’t hesitate to charge.” Meanwhile, reports E&E News, the animals continue to trample sensitive soils, devour native saplings and routinely “bed down” on Native American artifacts. The cattle have also invaded a community garden and golf course, and more notoriously, run off scores of Bureau of Land Management agents. Rob Mrowka, a biologist at the Center for Biological Diversity who has spent decades urging the BLM to remove Bundy’s cows, says it will be an expensive proposition when the government finally acts: “I think the price is going to be a lot more when you add the risk.” The now-jailed Bundy, who has allowed his cattle to run unsupervised on public land for 23 years, managed to hold off the government by his family threatening violence and “range war.” In 2014, for example, three days before the BLM had scheduled a roundup by Utah contractor ‘R’ Livestock Connection, Ryan Bundy and others threatened the contractor with “force, violence and economic harm,” according to a Department of Justice indictment. That escalated to the standoff between BLM rangers and 400 Bundy sympathizers who brandished “too many guns to count,” the Justice Department said. The well-publicized confrontation ended with more than 400 impounded cows released to the wild, there to continue their trashing of the public land.

Say, have you seen a Carioca, it’s not a foxtrot or a polka
It has a little bit of new rhythm, a blue rhythm that sighs
It has a meter that is tricky, a bit of wicked wacky-wicky
But when you dance it with a new love, there’s a true love in her eye
You dream of a new Carioca, its theme is a kiss and a sigh
You dream of a new Carioca, when music and lights are gone we say goodbye

The party that spent 8 years justifying every Bush mistake is so desperate to jump on every action of Obama as justification of their belief that Bush wasn’t that bad, and as payback for what they felt was unfair treatment of their team. “bring it on!” “watch this drive!” “mission accomplished!” those were actual outrageous actions by the sitting President at the time. And the best they can do now is talk about how Obama eats crackers, bows down at too far an angle, puts mustard on burgers, has a Marine hold an umbrella, forgets to salute or salutes with coffee in his hand, and doesn’t cut short every trip when something happens outside of America. I know I am missing so many more faux outrage from the triggered conservative pc crowd. These people are clinically insane.
