This, folks, is so wrong it wraps around and stops being wrong, then wraps around again and ends up in a zone of wrongness at the outer reaches of the Wrong Universe. This guy is not right in the head.

This is someone who has never heard the word no, probably from a young age. If there was a no, I feel pretty confident in saying he threw a fit, lashed out or did whatever shitty tactic he could pull to get to yes. This right here though says to me that women especially are not a lot more than T&A objects to him. I’d go a little farther and say that most people are nothing more than a means to an end to him, if you can’t do anything for him, he has no use for you.

I’ve said it a bunch of times, he makes my skin crawl. I’ve known awful men in my life and he gives off THE SAME nasty, selfish, horrible, slimy vibe that they did. He’s just an awful human being, maybe even a sociopath/psychopath. ((((shudder))))

I don’t have kids of my own, but I have three nieces. If anyone had said something like that about them, I probably would have hit them. It is just so unfathomable to speak (and think) like that about any child, much less one’s own.
And yes, I think you’re right about sexist women. It used to puzzle me more until I found out more about the horrible attitudes and family relationships some people grow up with. Actually, I think its application to women DID start with the movie. There had been a lot of publicity about the scoring system used by Olympic judges, especially in gymnastics, and talking heads had embellished it with such terms as “perfect 10,” ignoring that a 10 rating usually signified a perfect performance as far as the judges were concerned. After the Olympics, it was a buzzword looking for a buzz.

Oh my. I just wandered over to FR to see how they feel about PayPal.
This gem caught my attention. I still have no clue what the poster is talking about drugs the poster is on.

Ceo Schulman trying to force and normalize his satanic belief (faith) and irrational Marxist (unconstitutional) “worldview” onto our children.

He is trying to normalize the irrational, vile “faith” of Ba’al Worship—the old Babylonian religion with baby sacrifices (PP/killing/selling humans) and drinking blood of victims (Pepsi fetal cells/beauty “products”) and children orgies (immigration and normalization of islam— Afghani/Saudi worldview with boy harems and polygamy of Babylon). Forcing the irrational concept of two males sodomizing each other is a “marriage” is insane and unnatural and nihilism and sodomy is the main Rite of Ba’al worship which mocked the Jewish God and reduces Life to Excrement.

They need to create a “culture” where Evil is Good and unnatural, vile, mutilation of the body or insane use of the body (sodomy) is “Good” and “Natural” again.

That is why the CIA controlled MSM is forcing Bruce Jenner in ALL the areas where little children will see this diabolical nihilism as Good and “Normal” which will be embedded in their sub conscience like sodomy is normalized (along with hatred for women) in the little raped boys in Afghanistan and Saudi Arabia (Walid Shoebat/troops). It is exactly like the “culture” (religion) in Babylon. Vice creates slavery only and collapses cultures.

Funny he has a “Jewish” name and is trying to destroy a “Christian” worldview, to an ancient Jewish irrational cult “religion” of Ba’al worship. No Right Reason or Natural Law (Logic/Common Sense) allowed in “Just” Law—-LOLOLOLOLOL (BTW, Justice is the Queen of Virtue and HAS to promote “public virtue” only (Justice John Marshall/Montesquieu).

It is all to create a totalitarian state and destroy the worldview which created the most free and creative and just country in the history of the world for the NWO—-where Up is Down and children remain so puerile and irrational that Slavery is Freedom. They need to destroy the Christian Worldview in children because it is the ONLY worldview which created Free Will (choice) and Individualism—-v. socialism (slavery).

A few atheist Jews (reviled by the Orthodox Jews) created the Communist movement to destroy Christianity—-“the God is Dead” movement in the 1800s and institutes to normalize homosexuality to corrupt culture and the moral formation of children to the irrational— to enslave the world for the NWO—where Christian Worldview is wiped off the face of the earth.

For total World slavery, the only Worldview which created Free Will and Individualism (US Constitution) has to be destroyed. That is why they took over the textbooks and forced John Dewey’s curricula because Knowledge and Wisdom had to be erased in the masses in the USA (and Europe—-but Europe alteady had a socialist system by 1908 (top-down control). The USA is the last bastion of Christian Worldview (Free Will and Individual natural rights from God only v. tyranny/socialism/slavery—State is god and dictates and irrational “good and evil’).

The ONLY faith banned using UNCONSTITUTIONAL “Laws” is the Christian faith. ALL other faiths are being supported by TAXPAYER MONEY—-like the Ba’al pagan religion of sodomy and baby sacrifices—-“Rites”. We have to return our “Justice” System to Right Reason according to Natural Law Theory (Laws of Nature and nature’s God). We can’t allow irrational, insanity in a “Just” Law and the promotion of vile, evil behaviors like theft (welfare) and baby-killing and sodomizing others (using humans as a Means to an End is “evil” always (nihilism))

Then there’s this responding to the thought that “PayPal has a right to decide who it chooses to do business with, just as each of us has a right to no longer use PayPal.”

I would agree except for one thing. They got into their position of wealth and power because they were assumed to be in compliance with the “Social Contract”; That they were a normal and healthy participant in the society of which they were a part.

Now we find out that we have allowed them to become wealthy under a false premise; That they were like us, and normal. Now we have found out that they are in support of wicked and perverted social agenda, and so whatever consideration they should have received, is now forfeit.

Had they told us up front that they were all in for “Big Anus”, we could have chosen then to refuse to do business with them. But they sneak this up on us, and expect us to accept it merely because they are now in a position of power.

No. I say we F*** them over in any manner that we can accomplish it. They had a right to do what they wanted had they been upfront about it from the beginning, but now I no longer respect their rights to exercise the power they acquired by way of hiding what they were.

Sigh.

What happens to the environment when humans disappear? Thirty years after the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, booming populations of wolf, elk and other wildlife in the vast contaminated zone in Belarus and Ukraine provide a clue. On April 26, 1986, a botched test at the nuclear plant in Ukraine, then a Soviet republic, sent clouds of smouldering radioactive material across large swathes of Europe. Over 100,000 people had to abandon the area permanently, leaving native animals the sole occupants of a cross-border “exclusion zone” roughly the size of Luxembourg. Photo taken with trail camera. Ted Cruz came to New York Wednesday talking about education, but he’s the one who got schooled.

The lesson came from a group of Bronx high school students who told the Republican presidential candidate to stay away.

Cruz was scheduled to speak at Bronx Lighthouse College Preparatory Academy until students wrote a letter to the principal asking her not to let Cruz come, prompting staffers to cancel the appearance.

“We told her if he came here, we would schedule a walkout,” said Destiny Domeneck, 16. “Most of us are immigrants or come from immigrant backgrounds. Ted Cruz goes against everything our school stands for.”

Thanks! Spoke to the wife a little bit ago, she says Chucky seems pretty comfortable and is as happy and affectionate as ever.
It was another metastasis of her hemangiosarcoma, so it’s not good, but if the Angiostop works as claimed, maybe it will help hold off the cancer’s spread. The Angiostop was added to her daily pills in early February, so it’s still pretty early to know if it is going to really work or not.

It is 85° or so here. Yuck. On the other hand, I just went out in the back yard and was hit by serious rose fragrance from our climbing Cecile Brunner, which usually has a pleasant but not strong odor. My other roses are a Chestnut rose which for some reason the deer don’t eat so it can be in the front yard, “Gertrude Jekyll” which I grow for its scent, and “Perdita” which apparently I grow for the rust.

They were such a great band. I saw them five times during their short career, and interviewed them twice.

Fun Facts: Lead singer Derek Shulman became the A&R guy who signed Bon Jovi. And Bass player/violinist Ray Shulman became the record producer who produced the first Sugarcubes album.

And guitarist Gary Green has a gorgeous ‘59 Les Paul Burst and plays blues like you wouldn’t believe. How he ended up in Giant is still a mystery to me.

Reddit is a massive clusterfuck. It achieved popularity by enabling the worst elements of the Internet, a lot like 4chan, and now they’re trying to rein it in with half measures.

It is a clusterfuck, but their popularity is based on appealing to all people, while making it easy to never notice problematic subreddits. Lots of subreddits are great, and populated by good people, but others are so terrible that no one should want to be part of them in any way. Reddit is what freedom actually looks like. It’s never pretty.

People disagree on how free we should be. I’m with the folks who want Reddit a little less-free, but I think it’ll probably be a disaster just like when they shut down the worst of the subreddits. The creeps just upped their game, and made themselves visible to users who never even knew the terrible subreddits existed until the miscreants reacted to having their hangouts taken away.

You know how hard you have to work to keep abusive people off a public site. I hope they have some very smart people working on the problem, because Reddit is really big, and neutralizing abusive people without damaging the value of their site is not going to be an easy task.

The Internet, and Reddit certainly shares the blame, has made it too easy for like-minded assholes to band together, come to believe their beliefs are normal, and then try to force their beliefs on others.

I read and occasionally comment on a few subreddits. Specific interest-focused things. It’s great for that.

It’s not good for a community built around discussing a contentious topic. I think it’s just too big for that, and too open for abuse.

It definitely has its faults, and there is some overlap in the trolls for sure, but there’s reddit comments that make me laugh and it’s a good news aggregator for some interests that I otherwise I would miss out on.

I know this is cliche, but I don’t really have much use for Yoko’s screams. Frank is almost too good for John’s style. And a final thought: my first guitar in 1977 was a Gibson SG Jr. that my parents got through a friend for a bargain. I didn’t know what I had. It was hard to play (neck a bit wide for my small hands). I traded it pretty soon for a non-reverse Firebird because the neck was more narrow and—-3 pickups! I really don’t like the Firebird. I still have it. But I’d never be able to afford an early 70s late 60s SG Jr now. Oh well.

Exactly. r/politics is a disaster for example, totally useless, but I was glued to the Vive shipping megathread yesterday. Reddit is where other people who are interested in just about anything you could be interested in hang out. Unfortunately that also covers some very unsavory interests.

Once you get the concept of regular expressions, it’s like a bank vault being unlocked. The possibilities are endless - but to really use them to the fullest extent, it’s also important to understand what regexes aren’t good at.

I’m pretty sure you could find good areas of 4chan if you looked for them. The existence of some decent people doesn’t vindicate overall nastiness, and for FAR too many people, Reddit has become a site that sanctions hatred and abuse. They wouldn’t be trying to turn it around if that weren’t true.

I can’t look for good parts of 4Chan because I’ll wind up with child porn on my PC. I’ve never run that risk on Reddit.

Every community website becomes a site that sanctions hatred and abuse, unless they work really hard at stopping it, because anonymous people are dicks.

It seems like they focused too much on trying to make a profit, so didn’t spend the money to police a site that big. I’m just glad to see them addressing the problem. If Conservatives got their way, it would be the people complaining about abuse that get banned. Instead most businesses are coming out on the side of civilization. We shouldn’t take that for granted.

Oh well.

I started playing drums when I was 12 (1966) but in 1967 or so I decided I wanted to be a bass player like Peter Tork so I bought a used Fender Jazz Bass and a dime store amp for practicing. I could never get the hang of playing any kind of guitar, so I sold it. I don’t know what year the Jazz Bass was made, but I wish I still had it now.

Our bass player had a hollow-body Gibson, but it broke. Thereafter he borrowed a Fender Jazz that sounded great. I don’t know the year, though. I’d guess mid ’70s.

Some people are trying to sell pristine non-reverse Firebirds like mine for $10k on eBay. Good luck. They were made to be a cheap mass-produced alternative to quality Fender Strats. Mine is pretty beat up. It dates from ‘67 or ‘68, though. I took the vibrato bar off because one pull and the whole shebang was out of tune.

The last few weeks sure have revealed The Real Bernie Sanders.

He has gone from the little-known Senator that liked to talk about economic inequality to a surly curmudgeon. I guess a little feeding of the ego can do that to people.

I find it sad. I liked the guy, but damn…it is easy to see why he chose to be an independent. In a way he has shown he can’t abide any thinking other than his own.

That just does not work in politics, and it is something that shows he is not top executive material. He’d probably find it hard to work with anyone in Congress no matter the party.

Independent to a fault.

His campaign also lied about that rally they claim they cancelled in lieu of the NY debate, they never announced the rally, none of his supporters were put out.

I’m officially at the point where I actively dislike the guy. He has no idea how to accomplish the goals at the heart of his stump speech, his economic numbers don’t even come close to adding up, and his entire campaign is based on nothing but platitudes and raw assertions.

OT, but the musical illiterates over at Rolling Stone magazine have come up with a list of the 40 top punk albums of all time:

NO Rancid. NO Social Distortion, or The Damned, or NOFX, or Offspring, or Pennywise. But they’ve got Blink 182, White Lung, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs on the list. No mention of Raw Power from the Stooges or London Calling from the Clash, but they’ve got Green Day ranked higher than the Dead Kennedys. What. The. FUCK.

If I could hold my nose and vote for Fritz Mondale—three times, come to think of it, counting VP—I can do the same for Bernie. I guess.

I am beginning to again too.

Consider this.

He has been in Congress for longer than Clinton was Senator and SecState.

Why is it he has gotten 80%+ of all of the Congressional endorsements from the Dems then, hmm?

These lists are meant to sell magazines, not albums.

I sometimes laugh when I see “best of” Doctor Who episodes that only list stuff from 2005 on, but the audience for those are the newer Whovians.

Some more Good News from Libya:

On April 6, the State Council selected Abdurrahman Swehli as its president and Saleh al-Makhzoum as its First Deputy.[379][380] On the same day, Saleh al-Makhzoum stated that the Presidential Council, utilizing its powers as Commander-in-chief, would soon announce the leadership of the Libyan army, in cooperation with House of Representatives and the State Council. Furthermore, he suggested that a resolution for the controversy pertaining to article 8 of the LPA would be achieved.

The House of Representatives is the government in Tobruk, and the State Council is the remnants of the MB led Government.

The next phase will likely be the attack on the remaining outlier forces.

One of them is DAESH. DAESH took over vast areas from the MB-Government earlier, and control over half of Sirte District, and the southern third of Misrata District, along with parts of Zawiya and Derna, along with a very small amount of land east of Derna

The other is the Shura Council of Benghazi Revolutionaries. On of the big groups there is Ansar al-Sharia, the group responsible for the 9/11 Attack in Benghazi. They control some isolated pockets in Benghazi, parts of Derna, and some small areas to the west of Derna.

Rolling Stone has never had a clue about punk and Jello probably still scares them as much as during the DK’s heyday.

Most of the bands selected are OK but the album choices are often a joke New Day Rising? London Calling? Rocket to Russia? Tim or Let It Be? Hell the Foo Fighters have more punk than Green Day.

I never got into Rolling Stone. Sure they had some decent issues, but I never took them seriously for music coverage. In my high school days it was more CIRCUS (when they actually covered hard rock music) Creem because of Lester Bangs and then Trouser Press when rock was undergoing the punk and new wave scene changes.

Now…since the music scene done blowed up with the internet, I have found more good tunes and real user reviews from reading off-topic threads in forums and here at Little Green Footballs Politics and Music Machine.

Well I think we have hit Peak Bernie.

WTF is he thinking, or was he led into this by his campaign? He has crossed a line in primary politics and the Democrats should come out hard and in force against this BS, bs.

This is what happens the first time he gets hit a little by the media? Ha! Clinton will eat his lunch.

I didn’t have a chance to elaborate earlier, but if you only have one position to run with, eventually the pressure to widen your campaign will get enormous. I think Warren knew that if she tried to run, she would have to take positions she wasn’t prepared to take

To be fair, that White Lung album is really good. Best of all time good? Probably not, but pretty damn good.

I’m wondering where Radio Birdman are.

I suspect that any court in the land would determine that actually having to EAT Domino’s pizza was punishment enough for this crime.

For anyone who has not tried Dominoes within the past two years please don’t write them off or dwell on old memories. Their CEO recognized a loser direction and made many changes. They have done a good job of upping their game.

Any “best of punk” list that puts Green Day above Dead Kennedy’s is worthless. And then to do it again with Joy Division? Green Day wouldn’t even exist without half of the bands on the list. Lame.
