Anti-Choice Leader Admits Women Could Be Punished for Having Abortions

If they aren’t “coerced”
Politics • Views: 50,436
Anti-choice priest Frank Pavone

Here’s a very revealing interview with anti-choice Catholic priest Frank Pavone, talking about Donald Trump’s statement that women who have abortions would need to be “punished” if and when abortion is outlawed (again). Pavone starts by parroting the standard vague anti-choice political deflection, that the women are really just “victims” and people like him only want to punish doctors who perform abortions.

But in this interview, he’s confronted with a caller to the radio show who presses him on the obvious logical inconsistency between rhetoric that calls abortion “murder” and a political stance that says “no punishment for the murderers.” Pavone waffles for a little while, but eventually he admits that yes… in some cases he’d be open to the idea of treating women who have abortions as murderers.

SoundCloud

This is the truth about the anti-choice movement that they desperately want to hide from the general public because they’re dimly aware it makes them look like the heartless woman-hating bastards they are. If they get their way and abortion becomes an illegal procedure equivalent to murder, women who have abortions would become criminals faced with capital punishment. And it wouldn’t be just in “some cases,” because the vast majority of women who have abortions choose them freely; they’re not “coerced.”

Don’t believe the deflections. Anti-choice activists are lying to you.

So every woman who has a miscarriage will need to preserve the evidence as a potential crime scene and then have it investigated to see if she murdered the fetus?

And save every used feminine hygiene item to be examined for embryos and blastospheres. Murderers think they’re ‘just having a period.’ What do they know.

Pretty much. 100 years ago, they started requiring the outcome of every pregnancy to be officially recorded, either as a “Certificate of Live Birth” or a physician signing off on it as a legitimate miscarriage. That’s what they want to go back to.

Of course in those days, abortion was made illegal because it potentially robbed The State of cannon fodder….

Medical pot scarce and costly as Christie fights broader access

New Jersey legislation would broaden marijuana access to patients with dysmenorrhea — severe menstrual cramps — and post-traumatic stress disorder. Christie, who dropped out of the presidential race Feb. 10, said that won’t happen during his term, which ends in January 2018.

“The reason why it hasn’t gotten the response it’s gotten in other states is because ours is a truly medical-based program for only people who have true illnesses that require medicinal marijuana,” he told reporters in Trenton on April 11. “Other states have programs that are faux medical-marijuana programs that allow for recreational use.”

A lot of NJ residents probably need medical marijuana to deal with the stress of having a sadistic narcissist as governor.

If abortion is murder, it will be murder in the first degree in almost all cases (premeditated).

If that evil nonsense gets embedded into law as RWNJs would prefer, the remaining details of reordering society as in The Handmaid’s Tale would follow inevitably.

It pisses me off that males in the Catholic Church—a church that currently prohibits them from [allegedly] having sex, marrying and fathering children—-have such a huge presence in the abortion issue. It makes no sense to me. To me, it’s like asking a 10th Grade biology student to successfully perform a complex surgical procedure. Stupid and idiotic.

The New York GOP, party of the future, has three dolled up ladies singing tunes from the 1940s at the gala.

They were part of the entertainment at a corporate party my wife and I went to last Christmas season at the Central Park boathouse. they were pretty good.

What outreach? It’s in name only. As soon as that “autopsy report” came out in early 2013, Priebus threw it in the nearest trash can, or he should have, because nothing changed. I read last week that blacks at the RNC, who were supposed to be responsible for “minority outreach,” are leaving the organization. If one of those rtfkers knocked on my door and wanted to explain to me why I should vote for one of their politicians, it wouldn’t be pretty. Their ears would be singed after I finished telling them how I, a minority member, feel about their race-baiting, bigotry, homophobia, Islamophobia, tendency to promote violence over peaceful conflict resolution, gun-humping, misogyny, BS, rampant lying, and hypocrisy. I will not be a tool they can use to oppress other Americans.

Hey, if Bernie is participating in a debate, that means he isn’t making a campaign speech, giving an interview, or issuing a press release where he tends to make a LOT of boneheaded statements - a pattern that seems to be happening on an almost-daily basis.

33
lawhawk  Apr 14, 2016 • 5:22:33pm

As a reminder, if you’re trying to find any kind of statistics or factual information relating to abortion and reproductive health in the US and worldwide, you’d best rely on a source like the Guttmacher Institute. It cuts through all the bs.

And that’s something the forced birth/anti-choice extremists can’t abide by.

And right after the debate, which I won’t be watching because i think I’ve already lost enough brain cells, he’ll be bundled off to Rome for a meeting with the Pope that won’t happen because his advisers think he’s as dumb as they think we are.

Yeah, all that traveling by private jet to give a 10-minute speech in a shortened coffee break segment. Pope, I believe, is not even going to be in Rome. (But the Berners say he is going because he is SOOO very interested in participating in the conference, which he’ll probably be at for all of 2 hours, and because, even if they don’t meet in person, Bernie and the Pope are kindred spirits and blah blah blah)
