In His Latest Crazed Video, Alex Jones Says Beyoncé Wants to Eat Children’s Brains

“Literally”
Wingnuts • Views: 38,645

YouTube

It’s really not possible for Alex Jones to get farther out there; he’s now at the outer reaches of the Batshit Galaxy. And yesterday he beamed back to Earth a new video from his combination spaceship/lunatic asylum explaining that Beyoncé is working with the CIA to eat children’s brains — literally.

And that’s not all. Jones also reveals to his legions of loons that pro-choice protesters are actually satanic lizard people, and he’s seen them transform with his own eyes.

And remember, more than one Republican politician has been interviewed by Alex Jones, including the current front-runner for President, Donald Trump, who appeared on his show recently and praised Jones’ “great reputation.” It should also be noted that Jones has a permanent link on the front page of Drudge Report, the main Internet outlet for right wing propaganda. It’s difficult to tell whether he’s a symptom or a cause of the right wing’s descent into madness.

I’m old enough to remember when Jones was so radioactive that wingnuts would snicker at anything that came from his mouth and would scream bloody murder if you brought up something he said because it “didn’t represent all conservatives.”

Man, life was so much saner 8 years and 1 black presidency ago…

True. Still infuriates me how Jones makes a very pretty penny peddling this shit. I’d like to see him exposed as a fraud for his idiotic viewers and for them to turn on him.

What has changed? Only possible answer by this point is that Bernie’s tax returns contain proof that this “everyman” is every bit as “evil” as the very rich he regularly rails against. That he pays pocket change in taxes, he has stocks in “evil” corporations, and/or he’s using tax loopholes to cover up a great deal of wealth. There’s just is no other way to interpret this refusal to release their tax returns in light of their insistence that there’s “nothing interesting” in them.

It does make you wonder. Honestly, if they hadn’t made such a big deal out of the Clinton transcripts I wouldn’t care but by doing that and this refusal, they’re making it an issue but I have to suspect you’re right that there’s definitely something in those returns that Camp Sanders doesn’t want the starry eyed to see.

You’re ascribing a level of political competence to the Sanders campaign (and candidate himself) that, frankly, I am beginning to think is unearned.

I think it’s entirely possible Sanders either doesn’t know or doesn’t care about the political ramifications of not releasing the returns, and merely wants to preserve some sense of privacy.

I think it comes down to this: he (or his campaign) somehow truly believes that Hillary’s Wall Street transcripts are somehow completely and totally equivalent to his tax returns, and that Hillary is somehow obligated to divulge the contents of her speeches first, because of reasons, and somehow he’s doing us all some sort of big favor by using it as a bargaining chip: either he exposes some kind of “hypocrisy” on the part of the Clinton campaign if she chooses to keep the transcripts private, or forces her to expose some kind of “corruption” of her own if she does release the transcripts. It’s a faux sort of moral high ground that his supporters eat right up.

Yep. There is now a history of presidential candidates releasing their tax returns.

I can’t remember a one of them that has been asked to release a speech given while a private person.

In some ways I wish Hillary would release them just to call the bluff. I understand though…she may not want to set a new precedent.

The Clinton campaign by this point should just shrug its shoulders and ignore the issue. But if they wanted to really twist the knife, they’d suggest that they’re willing to reach a deal with Bernie to release the transcripts at the very same time as his tax returns, but a neutral third party should be responsible for the release, because they do not trust the Sanders campaign to hold up their part of the deal.

After he loses this year, it looks like Sanders is going to engage in a scorched earth campaign. Promote party disunity, allow his surrogates to push voters away from the party, and continue to attack her in such a way that the GOP can capitalize on the chaos.

Even though all evidence points to the contrary. lol

As annoying as his campaign has become, wait until June before your let your blood pressure go up. Clinton fought until then. She even tried to get the DNC to undo its punishment of Florida and Michigan.

Jones must know that his claims are nonsense. I assume this is all an elaborate scam to get views and turn that into money.

But he’ll keep insisting he’s going to the convention and his supporters will keep insisting there’s a “narrow road” to victory for him. Look for the goalposts to move tonight, probably all the way to California.

Every Tuesday that “narrow road” gets a little more restrictive.

There’s absolutely nothing positive to even being seen as considering this offer. Hitching herself to a losing campaign would only damage her and her efforts in the Senate. And if by some miracle Bernie did win the nomination and then the presidency, she loses all of her influence as a senator and gains nothing as a VP. Her future would be dependent upon his future and his future is at best murky and at worst darker than the depths of space. The only person who comes out ahead from such a deal is Bernie.

I’m about to reach peak proud of mahself. Got into a spring cleaning binge taking care of (in a couple of cases years) of beyond due chores. Last week finally fessed up to the fact that I’m never gonna be size tiny butt ever again and gave away/donated a closet full of clothes making room for the clothes I actually can wear. Cleaned out all the drawers and overheads, trashed the old desktop computer that I was keeping because I don’t know why, cleaned off the desk and shelves to make room for coloring books and yarn. (What’s that about old farts regressing to childhood? I’m for it.)

Fixed my borked sound system/DVD with a new optical cable (it worked! Whee!) and spliced the two speaker wires Blossom chomped in two so I now have surround sound again. While I was at it, I cleaned and reorganized the whole mess.

Yesterday I took the kitchen and bath blinds down to soak and scrub and washed my bedroom curtains. Just finished taking my fridge apart and cleaning it all out. Ditto the pantry and dish shelves. I found the missing pesto! Amazed at how much room there is now that there is a bit of organization again.

Yes, I am having very special company and a dinner party this coming weekend. Why do you ask?

For one thing I notice that he’s back to calling Cruz “Lyin’ Ted.”

The “presidential” demeanor and change in tone the media credited him with in New York are gone. Manafort managed to get him back on track and Trump sidelines him at the first provocation. This is good news for Hillary Clinton’s team because it’s an indication that provoking Trump into making reckless self-destructive statements should be relatively easy.

A Hillary win is going to be a fucking fiasco. I expect sporadic violence, armed “Patriot” posses trying to start a war, government shutdows,, impeachment attempts, and the entire RWNJ media structure going batshit bugnuts immediately. There will probably be on-air strokes on election night. Clinton Hate is 25 years old by now and a lot of people just aren’t going to be able to cope with her in charge. I really do think it’s going to get violent on a national scale.

another weather graphic that pretty much says “yer fooked”:

[Embedded content]

Actually what it kinda says is “Wolf!” since the “hottest” sections signify a moderate-or-less risk of severe weather, and the large yellow section indicates only a slight risk, with the green section even less. Weather prediction is far better than it has ever been, and getting better still, but on TV it suffers from the prevailing syndrome of the 24/7 news cycle, namely inflating every story to a major drama and working it for all it’s worth. Will there be some bad weather today, maybe even some tornadoes? Yeah, but that’s pretty much what happens every time a storm system moves through.

It’ll be like that first debate back in 2012: She’ll be seen as “weak” and “evasive,” while he’ll be seen as “strong” and “imposing” for blathering loudly and angrily through the course of the debate. He’ll rail on about whatever he likes and they won’t fault him for failing to answer the questions posed to him, but she’ll be seen as avoiding “tough” questions when she uses an opportunity to needle him.

The math (the only thing I’ve been looking at) confirms. Look at the margin of victories that Bernie needs, especially if he loses as the polling suggests today.

Not. Gonna. Happen.

Take CA for example. He needs to be +26 to even stand a chance. He’s down there. And up and down the remaining states, he’s needing high double digit wins to have a chance.

Hence the increasing talk from Weaver about how they’re gonna “take the fight to the convention floor,” i.e. raise as much of a stink as possible while setting their flying monkeys on the delegates in the hopes that they can shift the vote in his favor. And if they fail at that, the damage done will be seen as a “good” thing because the party “cheated” him out of the nomination.

Delegate math isn’t tough to figure out for some folks. Impossible for others.

You can’t just hold on and split today’s races 50/50. Or lose MD by 20+ and PA by a similar margin. Each loss reduces the magic number, and increases the margin you have to win in remaining states.

So, he can’t just hope to win CA by 20 points (he’s currently down by 7 in polling). He needs to win by at least 24, and that percentage goes up as Hillary’s magic number drops.

Come on, law, you know that winning the delegate count doesn’t matter. What matters is that he wins the states that will totally go blue in November, thus showing that he’s the “real” winner. Any red states she won don’t count, thus he’s really “leading” the race right now. And any blue states she won were obviously stolen by her shadowy cabal.

The other thing that’s working against him is that moving the needle at all in Cali is really fucking expensive, and as he saw in NY just outspending Hillary wildly doesn’t really help all that much.

The thing working in his favor is that unlike NY, California’s Dem primary is a mixed affair where Independent’s can vote, and since the GOP primary here is closed most of them will be voting in our primary. However that’s almost certainly factored into the polling numbers.

The only change they want is change that would have further stacked the deck in his favor. They have no problem at all with caucuses, and think the only problem with primaries is when they’re not open primaries. In short, their entire belief that the system is “broken” is built upon the fallacy that his losing proves such. From the bottom up is where change is going to happen, the young people are going to have to start with their Local Government and State Government by taking them more serious and voting in all elections and not just for the President.

re: #177 Pawn of the Oppressor

A Hillary win is going to be a fucking fiasco. I expect sporadic violence, armed “Patriot” posses trying to start a war, government shutdows,, impeachment attempts, and the entire RWNJ media structure going batshit bugnuts immediately. There will probably be on-air strokes on election night. Clinton Hate is 25 years old by now and a lot of people just aren’t going to be able to cope with her in charge. I really do think it’s going to get violent on a national scale.

I agree, though the militia movement took a very hard hit to its credibility when the Bundy Bund was exposed as a mob of posturing wimps. The organized, self declared militias have never been much of a real problem anyway. The real threat comes from the de facto militia that exists within the membership of the vast, informal (but very real and powerful) network of fundamentalist right wing churches in this country.

This network is largely below the radar horizon of the mainstream media but it has existed since the 70s and has grown by leaps and bounds since Obama’s election. They can be found in virtually every community in this country and they have millions of devoted members, many of them armed to the teeth. Some of these institutions literally preach the Second Amendment and Hillary-hate during services. Many of them, including at least two in Lubbock, have their own shooting ranges.

I think those who want to commit violence over this will be shut down by their moms, wives, daughters, and grandmothers. Also, some aunts.

The number of sporadics will probably increase, but the Bundy Bunch trials are taking the fun out of that. Still optimistic that there is such a thing as ‘hate fatigue’, and that HRC will push them to that point.

Also, I don’t see how a Trump or Cruz win would be any less of a fiasco. Anyone who thinks blacks & hispanics are going to go back to Jim Crow type treatment without a fight is delusional, as is anyone who thinks American Muslims are going to meekly submit to the kind of crap Trump & Cruz have been threatening to impose.

Norway Used An F-16 Fighter Jet To Save A Man’s Life
Critically ill fellow needs a machine to keep his heart and lungs running in the hospital. Too far by car to survive. So they called the local AFB with it’s F-16’s.

And Lieutenant Colonel Børge ‘Gaff’ Kleppe, leader of 338 Squadron, told local media outlet VG News: “Chance would have it that we had two flights bound for [nearby] Moss on an exercise.”

The pilot, presumably knowing just how dire the situation was, was able to shave ten minutes off of what would normally be a 35-minute flight, and the ECMO machine was delivered just 40 minutes after the phone call was made.

The “enthusiasm gap” narrative assumes three things: 1) the “drop-off” in primary numbers from 8 years ago show that Democrats aren’t invested in this race, 2) that the only Democrats who will show up to vote are the ones who’ve voted in the primaries, and 3) that 100% of the Republicans who’ve voted will show up in November.

If any one of those is false, then the narrative collapses in upon itself. If there are people who didn’t vote in the Dem primaries because they didn’t see much point but will show up in November (ex: Me), then the “gap” doesn’t exist. Likewise if anything less than 100% of the GOP primary turnout shows up on Election Day, then the “gap” narrows until it disappears.

Eagle Forum in chaos because of all the “Liberals” backing feminist Ted Cruz

“The liberals within Eagle Forum are using the fact that Anne Cori is Phyllis Schlafly’s daughter much as liberals have used Ronald Reagan Jr. to play off against President Reagan’s conservative agenda, when of course Ron Reagan Jr., is not conservative at all,” Andy Schlafly said.

He said his sister “has not written anything pro-life or in favor of traditional marriage.”

“The six are fine with the feminism of Ted Cruz and his wife. I can’t think of any recent statements by any of the six that is critical of feminism,” he said.

I love to see a launch vehicle whose design was essentially finalized in 1954 still in regular use….

1700 launches and counting, although the design has changed a lot. It’s like the Irishman’s favourite shovel, it’s had two new blades and three new handles but it’s the only man-rated launcher flying regularly these days (I don’t know when the Chinese will next carry out a manned Shenzhou launch on a Long March rocket).

ESA has been buying Soyuz boosters to launch from Kourou for a few years now, filling in the gap in capability between the Ariane V (20 tonnes into LEO in ES configuration) and Berlusconi’s Bottle Rocket, the Vega launcher based on Italian solid fuel booster technology but only capable of putting a couple of tonnes to LEO. The proposed Ariane 6 design would replace Soyuz launches in the ESA catalogue, again using solids for the primary stages using uprated Vega technology.

That in the increasingly unlikely event that he wins the nomination, how will he and they get me to vote for him in November. Put aside my repeated insistence that I’d vote for him if given no choice, tell me why I as a Hillary supporter shouldn’t just sit home or vote third party in “protest.”

I expect every one of them not to bother with trying to appeal to my better nature and just engage in the very talk they claim won’t work on them: Insulting me and suggesting I want a Trump presidency if I won’t vote for Bernie.

Devil’s Island reminds me of the remarkable career of Charles DeRudio, born Camillo Di Rudio in Belluno Italy in 1832. He survived a shipwreck off Spain in the 1850s, then got involved in a plot to assassinate French emperor Napoleon III. He was captured and sentenced to the guillotine, later commuted to life at Devil’s Island. He escaped and made his way to the United States, where the Civil War was going on. The Union army signed him up, either ignoring or unaware of his status as Europe’s most wanted fugitive. He re-entered the army after the war and received a commission.

By the summer of 1876 he was in command of Company A of Custer’s 7th Cavalry. Custer, who disliked DeRudio, replaced him with Lt. Algernon Smith for the campaign against the Sioux. DeRudio was given a menial assignment as an extra aide to Major Marcus Reno. He participated in Reno’s abortive attack on the giant camp at Little Bighorn. He lost his horse during the ensuing rout and survived by hiding out for 36 hours in the timber along the river. In the meantime, his own Company A was killed to the last man as part of Custer’s own detachment.

Amazingly, Charles DeRudio lived to be be 78 years old and died of natural causes in 1910.
