Diane E. really wants me to notice this essay by Hillel Halkin at the Jerusalem Post, criticizing the recent actions of Jewish settlers in the disputed territories. It’s a thorny issue, and reader Ted B also says it’s time to discuss it.

To keep things in context, Hillel Halkin is anything but a Ha’aretz-style liberal; in May the OpinionJournal published a piece by him titled Why the Settlements Should Stay.
