NY Times Profiled Trump’s Racist Birther Butler in March

“Mr. Senecal, 74, has worked at the property for nearly 60 years”
Politics • Views: 57,949

The Trump campaign is busily denying now that his racist Birther ex-butler Anthony Senecal works at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate. “He hasn’t in many years,” they say.

But oddly enough, this puff piece on Senecal from just a couple of months ago in the New York Times sure seems to imply otherwise: A King in His Castle: How Donald Trump Lives, From His Longtime Butler.

PALM BEACH, Fla. —Everything seemed to sparkle at the Mar-a-Lago estate here on a recent afternoon. The sun glinted off the pool and the black Secret Service S.U.V.s in the circular driveway. Palm trees rustled in a warm breeze, croquet balls clicked and a security guard stood at the entrance to Donald J. Trump’s private living quarters.

“You can always tell when the king is here,” Mr. Trump’s longtime butler here, Anthony Senecal, said of the master of the house and Republican presidential candidate.

The king was returning that day to his Versailles, a 118-room snowbird’s paradise that will become a winter White House if he is elected president. Mar-a-Lago is where Mr. Trump comes to escape, entertain and luxuriate in a Mediterranean-style manse, built 90 years ago by the cereal heiress Marjorie Merriweather Post.

Few people here can anticipate Mr. Trump’s demands and desires better than Mr. Senecal, 74, who has worked at the property for nearly 60 years, and for Mr. Trump for nearly 30 of them.

He understands Mr. Trump’s sleeping patterns and how he likes his steak (“It would rock on the plate, it was so well done”), and how Mr. Trump insists — despite the hair salon on the premises — on doing his own hair.

You’d think if Senecal hadn’t worked there for years, Trump would have asked the Times to print a correction, wouldn’t you?

And if you read this whole Times profile, you’ll also notice there isn’t a single word about the insanely extreme and hateful comments Mr. Senecal has been posting on Facebook for years.

Oh I bet you can.

Anthony? Offer our guests some refreshments. “Certainly, your Majesty. May I suggest coffee? Tea? Evian? A cocktail perhaps? Assassination?”

Given Trump’s own birtherism, should we really be surprised that someone who worked for him was also a birther?

I think Senecal is probably not collecting a paycheck anymore, since 2009, but I honestly can’t imagine Trump sharing racial hatred with his hired help. I also have a hard time reconciling someone who was going to work for *Castro* hating minorities.

I do agree this Senecal guy has an interesting life story, I find it to be a much smaller issue compared to Lewandowski or Manafort. Senecal’s job was to make sure Trump’s suit looked nice and his steak was horrible. And probably talk up the size of his hands.

But that Mayoral gig is weird. So so weird.

I dunno if you saw this link, holy crap Trump puts ketchup on his steak too?

“He doesn’t like to see the plate piled up with vegetables and stuff,” Senecal says. “He wants what he ordered. And if he ordered a steak, that’s what he wants. He doesn’t want it all globbed up with veggies. And you better bring some butter, and you better bring some ketchup.”

He also remembered Donald Trump’s young sons running through the library, paneled with centuries-old British oak and filled with rare first-edition books that no one in the family ever read. When the library became a bar, Mr. Trump put a portrait of himself on a wall, posing in tennis whites.

“I’ve been in other homes in Palm Beach — same exact painting,” Mr. Senecal confided archly. “Just a different head.”

“GOP senator Paul Ryan, Speaker Of The House, who earlier last month met both privately and politically with the presumptuous GOP candidate for World Leader Donald Trump, was found unresponsive earlier this morning by housekeeping today at his Washington DC residence. Unconfirmed reports from initial EMS personnel suggest he choked on his own vomit. This, right now, is unsubstantiated… More details as they become clear will be reported. Neighbors are also quoted as reporting they heard crying and heavy sobs coming from that floor in the early AM hours, along with intermittent maniacal laughter. Weather or not this came from Speaker Of The House Paul Ryan’s suite is unconfirmed. We will update this story as it breaks……”

This is a hard case to judge. Such language is indeed crass and offensive.

However, it is also accurate in a very direct way. Trump’s campaign is essentially a primitive primate dominance display mapped into a 21st century US political campaign, and sexual dominance is inherently part of that story.

I’m assuming it includes things like:
Making out with your wife and her sister.
Having your general killed and taking his wife.
Making out with your drunk father.

Actually, I wouldn’t mind American Christianity viewing sex the same way Europe does. Maybe we could get rated R to mean 1 one more people killed rather than 1 or more breasts.

Considering Eraserhead exists, that’s saying something.

Eraserhead is a great surrealist art flick. People that try to classify it in any other way and maybe expect it to be a linear story with classic plot line, etc. will be turned off by it.

Look at it as a film and like a moving painting with sounds and dream/nightmare like touches and it works.

But then, I am a crazy graphic artist with desire to be a fine artist upon retirement and I like movies like this.

Our evening moment of schadenfreude. The good folks at TheFederalist are absolutely amazed that JimRob at FR has gone and made the site a special safe place where no criticism of Trump is allowed. I’ve gone and paged it.

Needless to say, over at freepland they are busy saying that “The Federalist isn’t a conservative site, they are just CINOs”.

They have moved beyond the “echo chamber” that it used to be, and will soon all be autotuned to sing the praise of Trump whenever JimRob requires it.

On the plus side, I tried a new “Hot Chicken” place that’s been open a couple of months near the shop. Not fast, they tell you out right that it’s going to be 20+ minutes for the order (Leq Quarter and Slaw), and not cheap, but damn it was good. I tried the Mild, will probably go for the hot next time. Traditional Nashville Hot Chicken. Try it.

Idiots like Chuck C Johnson thinking they can say the crap they say and be protected by claiming free speech should go into the neighborhoods of some of the people they so despise and try yelling some of their crap from the street corners.

Go on…test your freedoms there and judge how that goes.

Just the Stainless Steel Rat, or more than one of the titles? If the latter, you can find good deals searching on ebay. (Mainly because buying more than one is so good for the shipping charges.)
