Definitive Video Proof That Donald Trump Is a Minion of Satan

Lord of the Flies
Humor • Views: 58,037

When President Obama was bothered by a fly during a speech recently, the entire religious right went into paroxysms of horror, declaring it was proof that the White House was infested by demons and yes, Lucifer himself, the dreaded Lord of the Flies.

So today while Donald Trump was giving a speech in Anaheim, California, guess what happened?

But don’t hold your breath waiting for World Net Daily to say Donald Trump is a minion of Beelzebub, even though we now have definitive proof.

I thought it might be the pilot doing PM work on that Airbus head of his. Or a mini worker weaving away. Or an escapee from the dead wood within. Termites.

It’s still not all that cool that a billionaire with a grudge can second-party sue a news source (however shitty) into the ground. Couldn’t someone go after Mother Jones in the same way?

It’s not a clear-cut issue. But on the other hand, for years Gawker has been deliberately pushing the envelope of the libel laws, because they know most of the people they smear don’t have the resources to take them to court.

Gawker sucks. They’re bottom feeders. And now they’re facing someone who does have the resources to make them account for the shit they’ve been doing to make money.

Nope, Mother Jones doesn’t have anything to be afraid of, because they behave responsibly with knowledge of the limits to journalistic speech. Gawker — not so much.

There’s actually quite a difference here. Hulk Hogan isn’t exactly an individual without means-why he needed a third party to bankroll his lawsuit is suspicious in of itself. I am glad to see he’s said that. Maybe Bernie just wants things to be an official and then he’ll start campaigning for Clinton. There’s obviously no racism in Vermont:

Five years of traffic-stop data collected by Vermont State Police show a black motorist who is pulled over is nearly five times more likely to be searched than a white driver, while contraband is more likely to be found when a white driver is searched.

No, this isn’t unique to Vermont.

House passes resurrected LGBT measure:

House Democrats on Wednesday resurrected a measure ensuring equal protections for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people after their last attempt erupted in chaos last week.

Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-N.Y.) reprised his amendment to enforce an executive order President Obama issued in 2014 to prohibit federal contractors from discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.

The House approved his amendment to an Energy Department spending bill in a 223-195 vote late Wednesday night, in contrast to a similar vote a week ago when the measure failed by a single vote. Forty-three Republicans joined with all Democrats to support the amendment.

I can’t agree that spending millions to defend against a lawsuit, even one ulitmately dismissed, really qualifies as not “anything to be afraid of”.

Being that I’m black, none of them really want to know what I think of them because it would not be good, or complementary. I think the reason they’re always disparaging someone else is because they know they aren’t sh*t themselves. I’ve accomplished more in my life against great odds than they have. I’m proof that their sense of white privilege was no help to them, and I think it hurts for them to see myself and others who don’t fit their stereotypes of us. According to them, we all have out-of-wedlock kids, live in the ghetto, are on welfare, are thugs and gangsters, etc. None of these describe me or any member of my immediate family. The tools can’t stand it, so what do they do? They make sh*t up, pat themselves on the back and think they’re clever. I imagine they’d sh*t bricks if they knew that a recent educational study shows that women are widely outpacing men in earning undergraduate and graduate degrees and most of them are members of minority groups in what they think is their country.

There’s actually quite a difference here. Hulk Hogan isn’t exactly an individual without means-why he needed a third party to bankroll his lawsuit is suspicious in of itself. And until recently, using a third party to fund lawsuits was illegal. But more importantly, it also shows just how thin-skinned Thiel is as an individual-or as an investor….

That kind of fighting was more about shucking off outsider interference than love of the North. A lot of it went on around here, supported by the Union forces occupying Pensacola. There was also a US 1st Alabama Cav in the northern part of the state. Most of the fighting here was very small cavalry raids—the Battle of Newton involved about 20 combatants.

I have to admit, the season 1.5 was weak compared to season 0.5 (the six-episode test run). The killer for me was the episode where Peggy falls onto an upright rebar, which pierces her abdomen back to front. They take her back to Nurse Whatshername’s place, where she gets patched up in no time, and she’s back on her feet before the ep ends.

No. Just plain no.

I don’t care how tough Peggy is, a one-inch diameter rebar running through your abdomen is NOT something a nurse can patch up on her living room sofa with hydrogen peroxide, bandages and some surgical thread. And if even she could patch Carter up, there’s no way she’d be able to get on her feet to wage war with the baddies without ripping something open again. The blood loss alone would have left her weak as a newborn kitten.

re: #189 wheat-dogghazi-mailgate

Yeah, I remember that, it did break the suspension of disbelief a lot.

I think part of Agent Carter’s problem was that there was little to no try in with the rest of the mythology of Marvel Comics and doing short seasons like they were they didn’t really have the time to develop complicated plots or character development.

In addition, since it’s taking place in the past, everything is pretty much a foregone conclusion.

Culture clash in Switzerland: two conservative Muslim boys refuse to shake hands with female teachers, but Swiss custom is for students to shake their teachers’ hands at the start and end of classes. So, the school took the case to a judge, who ruled that the school has the right to compel students to shake their teachers’ hands, regardless of the students’ religious preferences. If a student refuses, his family could be fined up to $5,000.

The boys say they cannot shake hands with a woman who is not related to them. The Swiss say they are in their country, so they need to follow Swiss customs if they want to settle there.

Word leaders at G7 summit tell Obama, “WTF is wrong with Donald Trump?”

Well, maybe more diplomatically than that.

“They are not sure how seriously to take some of his pronouncements, but they’re rattled by him - and for good reason, because a lot of the proposals that he’s made display either ignorance of world affairs or a cavalier attitude,” the president said.

IIRC, France made it illegal for women to wear hijab, or they tried.

I should google before commenting.

The hijab ban applies to female students in French public schools, so the Swiss handshake ruling has some EU precedent.

The sort of casual or reflexive dismissal of a social courtesy to a professional, based on their sex, should have no place in a liberal society.

re: #208 Le Lapin Tueur

I agree and thought about saying that, but I didn’t and should have.

People should be free to worship or believe as they as they see fit, but they also need to realize that living in pluralistic society, governed by a Constitution that makes no requirements for religious belief to be a citizen, means that their freedom to believe/worship stops when they try to make others conform to their religion. That’s what the anti-evolution people demand, that public schools conform to their narrow ideas of the creation and evolution of life.

The Swiss situation leaves me perplexed. On the one hand, I can understand that within those boys’ culture, men do not touch (theoretically*) women who are not related to them. AFAIK, this is not a custom demanded by Islam, but by their local hometown culture. Personally, I find this custom silly, but it is what it is. On the other hand, they are no longer living in their hometown, but in Switzerland, which has a different set of customs. So, it seems they should expect to follow local customs. Adapt, IOW.

Meanwhile, the Swiss handshake custom is also vaguely silly (to me), as there are other ways for students to show respect for their teachers that do not require physical contact. When I taught in South Africa, the students would stand upon my entering the classroom and were expected to remain standing until the teacher told them to sit down. [At that school, the teachers move about while the students remain in their classroom.]

In the USA, the constant litany of God this and God that in political discourse just pisses me off.

* There is ample evidence that Muslim men feel quite free to boink non-Muslim women, even in places like Saudi Arabia.

For months, people have been warning that Trump and the GOP face a demographic nightmare if they think that they can win in the Midwest (or many other parts of the country). The angry white vote is a shrinking group as minorities are growing. That’s making the angry white folks even more angry as they think that their rights are being infringed because others are now partaking in the same rights they’ve taken for granted.

Back in March, the outlook didn’t look good for Trump.

It still doesn’t.

Trump would have to overcome the fact that he’s got to maintain the states Romney won last time out, while picking up more states - a tough proposition given that he’s pissed off significant percentages of the population - women and minorities.

That means he’s got to rely on the angry white vote more and more.

Much more.

NCIS LA was always incredibly silly.

Doctor Who is likely going to be in profound trouble when Moffat leaves. Chibnall is taking over, and he is the worst of the long time writers for the series. Not only that, but his showrunning and writing abilities leave something to be desired (See Seasons 1 & 2 of Torchwood, Season 2 of Broadchurch).

And he is going to go to the US model for writing the show. Writing by committee. Which has resulted in the incredibly bland landscape on the Big 3 Channels.

re: #255 Ziggy_TARDIS

The reason that the new Showrunner is ticking me off with the Committee writing is that is completely against what Doctor Who has always been.

Doctor Who has always been experimental and willing to try unique things. It’s why it has been so successful.

Writing by committee will kill that. Everything will be focus-grouped into blandness, as things that are risky (e.g. episodes like “Sleep No More” and “Heaven Sent”) will be thrown in the bin in favour of safe and milquetoast.

I feel very, very bad for whoever the next Doctor will be. They will end up having to fall on their sword with Chibnall when ratings around the world plummet. And their is always the possibility that Chibnall could actually get it cancelled.

If he doesn’t have the writing and showrunning ability to do Doctor Who, he should just admit it, and let someone else run it. Jamie Mathieson has written some amazing episodes. Why not him?

This is why the right wing bathroom crusade will not end well:

The right wing will attack people for doing things they’ve always done without fear or regard for who was in the stall next to them. That means fathers taking daughters into men’s rooms or mothers taking sons in to women’s rooms.

The right wing culture war has veered off the rails and straight into checking the naughty bits for something. But they want people to think that they’re for small government or individual rights?

They’re going to keep doing it, alienating the people who might otherwise have been on their side, until they’re stripped down to the core group of angry bigots who don’t want society to change. Instead of building up a majority, they’re working to turn themselves into an easily dismissed minority.

re: #267 lawhawk

Weatherly left NCIS to be the lead on a new show, Bull, which is based on a Dr. Phil associate. That’s reason enough to ignore the new show.

And his DiNozzo leaving means that the thing that got me hooked into the show in the first place is gone - the incessant movie/media references. Yeah, I stayed through the inane Israel as bogeyman plot, the nonsense regarding Ziva’s half-brothers, etc., but at the heart of the show was the relationship was Tony with Kate and then Ziva. They’re gone, and the replacements aren’t Very Special Agents.

Agreed. DiNozzo’s growth as a character, from lecherous cad to halfway decent human being, kept me interested. He provided comedy as well as humanity, in contrast to Gibbs’ dead serious, rock solid persona.

Plus, Gibbs, the character, and Harmon, the actor, are nearing retirement age as field agents. All the more reason to either end the show, or to hand it over to a new crew leader.

Conservatives have been on about bathrooms for a hundred years or more (this is nothing new, conservatives don’t change fast).

First, it was when women entered the factory workforce in large numbers and factory owners suddenly learned that women don’t particularly care to use the jakes outside for their business. Factories opposed putting in bathrooms, then supported timing or limiting bathroom breaks (they lost).

Then there was Jim Crow bathrooms. Can’t have those people doing the exact same thing we are in the bathroom.

Then there was the movement to ban Teh Geyh from bathrooms, because they might recruit.

Now there is the transgender issue with bathrooms. As a liberal (and mostly a person who minds my own business), I never considered any of these issues (save the factory fights that were before I was born) worth a second of my concern.

I conclude that conservatives are perverts who can only think about what others are doing in bathrooms. Guys, there is porn for that if bathrooms are really your fetish.

ICYMI, Rage Furby has been blathering about all news media being doomed lately.

ANALYSISIS: Facebook, Vice, clickbait media doomed — click here to read why

Chucken Little tells the farmyard Internet media are doomed!

Yes, indeed, the Award Winning JournalistTM and expert analysisisizer Chuck C. Johnson has deposited yet another turd tome predicting the end of every web media enterprise that is not his. So far, he has predicted the end of Gawker Media, Twitter and Netflix, and now he has added Facebook and Vice Media to the list of doomed enterprises.

Ironically, he declares that the end of clickbait websites is nigh, even as he writes doom-and-gloom posts that presumably would attract more clicks if people were not already convinced he’s a total flake.

Notably, Johnson has grievances with all the companies he considers doomed. Twitter banned him last Memorial Day. Facebook has suspended his account twice for 30 days each. Gawker dared report on the rumors that he shat on a dormitory floor while in college and copulated with a sheep as a juvenile, finding no evidence that either occurred.

He hates Vice CEO Shane Smith, probably because Smith (who he claims lied on his résumé) has succeeded as a media mogul whereas Johnson has not. And he scorns Netflix because its CEO wants to help women and non-whites get a leg up in the world. Horrors!

My first wife used to take my son into the ladies’ room. Not for a second did women in the bathroom think he was there as some sort of three-year-old rapist.

When we lived in Europe, my conservative first wife (to quote Ted Cruz in his Princeton stage debut, since I married a conservative, and after she left me, a Libertarian: Why am I so persecuted) was horrified by Spanish bathrooms.

My wife now (when we went to Germany and Poland) didn’t care about their common bathrooms at all: she just wanted to pee.

The one time my son escaped us was when we were in Spain.

We were leaving a friend’s apartment downtown in Rota, and he wandered away as we were saying our good-byes. My wife and I were frantic, going down the street trying to find him.

Turns out that a concerned Spaniard was taking our son to every bar on the street, having identified him as an American (considering his blue eyes, blonde hair, and his three-year-old English). He was looking for the American parents that left their kid on the street. As he worked his way down the street, the end of the street was the National Police station, where he intended to drop him if he didn’t find his parents.

Toddlers can wander off in the blink of an eye; we caught up with the guy a couple bars away from the National Police. Lesson learned (and Rota is a very safe city).

I have voted for the Democratic candidate for President ever since Jimmy Carter ran for reëlection against Ronald Reagan (when I was on Haze Grey Cruise Lines).

There has never been a Republican presidential candidate whose platform or ideas I thought, “yeah, that makes sense.”

I supported Senator Sanders in our state caucus, phone banked for him, &c. (I even endorsed him as a village trustee, if Mr. Sanders cared about a trustee in a town of 128.)

It does look like the will of the Democratic Party is Secretary Clinton. That said, I think Mrs. Clinton would make a fine President. Her Senate record is nearly identical to that of Mr. Sanders, (on the issue of her Iraq vote she got the same misinformation that every other senator got so I do not hold that against her), she has worked tirelessly for Democratic causes and candidates, &c.

Presuming a meteor strike doesn’t take out her campaign she seems the likely nominee. She has already weighed in on Mr. Sanders, noting he can run his campaign any way he likes (in regards to whether he should drop out before the primaries are over).

Mrs. Clinton is very magnanimous (unlike Mr. Trump). I will be doing all the same work (in what appears to be a hopeless area, Nebraska) for Mrs. Clinton I did for Mr. Sanders. Once the primary is over and the Democratic Nominee is selected (and I fully expect it to be Mrs. Clinton), I will give her an equally-ignored political endorsement that I gave to Mr. Sanders. (Well, not entirely ignored since people in my village paid attention.)

I think it is a bit fuzzy, but the general line falls along the question of a logical reason not to do something. Burkas cover the face. We do not generally permit people to hide their identity in public for safety reasons (not to mention the safety of the wearer with no peripheral vision.) Headscarves? I don’t see a problem.

Shaking hands is a bit harder, but as was mentioned, it is a custom not a religious requirement. On the other hand, the custom of shaking hands is a great way to make sure everyone in the school gets whatever virus is going around, so I’m not a fan of the concept.

I can’t help you. I am a disabled vet, and my wife’s retirement fund was stolen by the bank it was invested in when she worked for Digital Equipment and Hewlett-Packard.

The ideas of retirement funds and investments are something we think of as the American Dream that rich people have, not veterans and software engineers that were the victims of Carly Fiorina.

You’ll want a low commission broker because there is no point whatsoever in a company that charges more and gives lots of (worthless) advice. Charles Schwab leaps to mind, but I’m sure there are others. I assume the amusement part is doing your own research and making trades, because otherwise buying a Vanguard market fund does better than most other options. And where were the engines located? The FBI went to all businesses that had videos and confiscated them. And many people said that they saw a missle, not a plane flying over the pentagon.
And how the hell did building 7 collapse if it wasn’t hit by a plane? And who gave the order “to pull it”?

The United States and its NATO allies are putting troops in countries that are surrounding Russia because Kerry and Obama are concerned about Russia’s aggression! For God’s sake, which countries has Russia invaded recently?

OT: Our village’s brand-spankin’ new tornado siren just went through its first test.

It is about four blocks away; I could never hear the old one. (That was a problem in 2013 when we had two tornadoes within a mile of the village.)

There is no doubt this new siren was a good $5,000 investment, despite some of the complaining of “fiscal conservative” villagers about the cost. It can be heard across the village. In the event we have a dangerous storm or tornado, those fiscal conservatives will change their tune in a heartbeat (and claim it was their idea).

Pesky socialism, how does it work?

I’d compare brokerage fees/commissions to see which one will serve you best.

If you’re buying and holding mutual funds, you might want to go with a brokerage that has a wide range of offerings, including low/no cost funds like Vanguard. Fidelity has a combination of managed funds and market tracking funds.

Fidelity is the reason my wife lost 80% of her retirement fund and IRA through Hewlett-Packard, and over a two-year fight with them to transfer the pitiful remains to our local agricultural bank, but if you are happy with them, whatever floats your boat.

I trust the Ag bank in the town of sixty-four people we have her IRA at now much better than the two-year fight Fidelity put up against my wife (while they continued to swipe her money).

Fidelity even demanded a non-disclosure agreement from my wife before they would transfer her IRA to Lisco State Bank (she said “ah, no. Screw you.”)

Still waiting for the NRA and GOP hypocrites to allow open-carry at their convention.

Quicken Loans Arena is a “gun-free zone.” Either the GOP should move its convention or demand Intuit change its rules for their convention; surely they don’t want to be seen as hypocrites, and “an armed society is a polite society,” and all that rot.

Also they certainly don’t want to be caught unarmed if a “bad guy with a gun” shows up at their convention. Isn’t that the conventional wisdom, that good guys with guns can stop them? Surely there are no bad guys with guns amongst Cruz, Rubio, Kasich, and Trump supporters.

The gun shop owner in my town (now installed on our village board to fill a vacancy) doesn’t understand why this liberal is a gun owner.

I pointed out to him in his shop a few months ago that we liberals don’t need to seize guns like conservative argue President Obama is about to do (for the last seven years), we have our own.

On the other hand, my Libertarian-leaning wife notes that a proper socialistic response to guns (trolling me) would be to redistribute guns to everyone: from each according to his ability and such.

The conventional wisdom seems to be that violent protests are helping Trump. “Trump should be paying them,” a freeper declared. I managed to resist the impulse to throw a little gasoline into the freep dumpster fire by responding, “Maybe he is.”

Conversely, citing the 1968 Chicago riots, pundits declare that violence at the Democratic convention would hurt the Hillary campaign, perhaps fatally. “Those stupid hippies handed the election to Nixon, you know.”

Which is it? Are rioters ultimately for or against their target? Or could both be true, considering the differences between the two candidates?

re: #356 Timothy Watson

Per the USSS site:

Who does the Secret Service Protect?
Permanent protectees, such as the President and Vice President, have special agents permanently assigned to them. Temporary protectees, such as presidential and vice presidential candidates/nominees and foreign heads of state, are staffed with special agents on temporary assignment from U.S. Secret Service field offices. Protection for the President and Vice President of the United States is mandatory. All other individuals entitled to Secret Service protection may decline security if they choose.

Title 18 of the United States Code, Section 3056, describes the agency’s authority as provided by law. Since the U.S. Secret Service’s protective mission began in 1901, the agency’s jurisdiction has expanded to meet the needs of an evolving security environment.

Trump had requested the USSS protection way back when he was still way back in the field. He’s not going to drop that protection now, not when he’s about to be the nominee.

Guns for me, but not for thee.

Conservatives seem to be hypocrites. I like my wife’s idea better, if we’re going to have guns for all. Seize all the wingnuts’ gun caches and redistribute them to those who can’t afford guns. “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.”

If guns (as conservatives argue) are a need for self-protection, the should be arguing for everyone to have one (or many). Thus, Marx’s argument is appropriate: A Wingnut can’t fire forty guns he has stashed at once, but his forty guns could arm forty other people (including Ni***clangs, liberals, socialists, atheists, &c)

When Trump isn’t the most xenophobic of the GOPers:

A Republican Colorado Senate candidate said this week that he wants to take Donald Trump’s proposal to ban Muslims from entering the United States a step further.

Businessman Robert Blaha told a GOP meeting that he wants “to go beyond just Muslims,” according to BuzzFeed. Blaha, who’s already thrown his support behind the presumptive GOP presidential nominee, said that he is focused on security.
“The issue is partially a religious issue, but … the real issue is security,” Blaha said in Fremont County on Tuesday. “The real issue is we do not know who these people are. We don’t know where they’re coming from, we don’t know whether a terrorist state. We do not have the ability as a government right now to vet these people.”

He also called for securing the border.

“Until we can properly vet people and know who they are and know where they’re coming from and know what their belief structures are they’re coming out of, we cannot afford to take that risk,” he continued. “So it’s bigger than just a religious issue, to me. It’s a much bigger issue than just a religious issue. So we must secure the border, and we must not allow people to come into this country when we do not know who they are.”

Blaha is part of a crowded GOP field in the June 28 primary to try and unseat Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.). The seat is one of the few GOP targets this cycle as Republicans seek to hold onto their slim Senate majority.

Democrats blasted Blaha’s remarks for taking Trump’s proposal to the “next level.”

Coast Guard recovers 4 survivors of mid-air jet collision

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — The Coast Guard says two jets collided off the North Carolina coast and four survivors have been taken to hospitals.

Coast Guard spokesman Petty Officer 3rd Class Joshua Canup says Coast Guard crews were notified about 10:30 a.m. Thursday of the collision about 25 miles east of North Carolina’s Outer Banks.

He says the four were plucked off a commercial fishing ship that pulled them out of the Atlantic Ocean and flown by Coast Guard helicopter to a hospital in Norfolk, Virginia.

Don’t get a fund with much in the way of management fees, they kill your profits.

I just inherited a bit of money, and put it in a money market fund in my bank’s trust department. Within 60 days, it had some sort of trouble, disbanded, and I ended up with 50% of it. And the trust officer lost his job. And I’m not happy.

OBAMA’S EVERY GESTURE WILL BE SCRUTINIZED IN HIROSHIMA VISIT

Every gesture. Every word uttered or avoided. Every person Barack Obama speaks with, listens to and stands beside in Hiroshima. All of it will help determine the success of a trip with huge potential political and diplomatic pitfalls, both in America and Asia.

The leader of the United States is already one of the world’s most watched people. But that daily scrutiny will be magnified exponentially when Obama makes the first presidential journey to the place where the first atomic bomb attack killed tens of thousands 71 years ago.

Very delicate stuff but Obama has demonstrated many times that he is the right person for this kind of job.

On the utterly tone-deaf side, freepers are convinced that he will apologize, bow, and grovel, or that he has already.

Obama is going to visit Hiroshima on our USA Memorial Day. He will apologize, we are sure.
But has he ever visited Pearl Harbor (as president), the Vietnam Memorial in DC, the graves in France? No, he hasn’t. Why? He hates America first.

Obama has in fact visited all those places, as President, more than once.

OBAMA’S EVERY GESTURE WILL BE SCRUTINIZED IN HIROSHIMA VISIT

Very delicate stuff but Obama has demonstrated many times that he is the right person for this kind of job.

On the utterly tone-deaf side, freepers are convinced that he will apologize, bow, and grovel, or that he has already.

Obama has in fact visited all those places, as President, more than once.
Obama speaks at US war cemetery on D-day landings anniversary
President Obama visits Pearl Harbor memorial
Remarks by the President at the Commemoration Ceremony of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War

Those idiots choose to believe everything negative about Obama as possible.

oh..

Sanders campaign spokesman Michael Briggs told The Hill on Thursday morning that negotiations with Trump haven’t yet begun, adding, “It’s still early in L.A.”

“The senator wants to do it,” Briggs told The Hill. “We’ll see if Trump meant what he said.”

A Trump campaign official reached by The Hill, however, characterized the remarks as “tongue and cheek.”

Still, the Trump official indicated it’s something that may be under consideration now that remarks have generated so much interest and taken on a life of their own.

The Republican National Committee (RNC) and Democratic National Committee (DNC) — both of which have exclusivity clauses prohibiting candidates from participating in unsanctioned debates — did not return requests for comment.

Sanders spokesman Briggs had a curt reply when asked whether he thought the DNC would sanction a Trump-Sanders debate.

“Who cares?” he asked.

“They’re irrelevant to this process,” he added. “And anyway, the DNC doesn’t want debates.”

OK, then…

Oh, now you notice?

The GOP has been waiting for a fascist like Trump to sweep it off its feet. And if it wasn’t a fascist, it would have been a theocrat in Cruz. Spare me your surprise when your party’s base have chosen a flat out extremist. That’s who the base thinks represents them best.

And you spent years cultivating this very mindset with irrational hate and fear that minorities were finally getting the rights that the GOP base took for granted. This is the pushback the base wants - someone who will roll back civil and equal rights (and roll back the clock to the 50s - and I leave it your imagination if it’s the 1950s or 1850s or earlier).

From Wikipedia:

And if you type in “Workers Party” at Wiki you get this:

Workers’ Party is a name used by a number of political parties throughout the world. While the name has been used by both left-wing and right-wing organizations, it is currently used by left-wing followers of Communism, Maoism, Marxism, Marxism-Leninism, Social Democracy, Socialism and Trotskyism.

Followed by a list of countries that have Workers Parties.

Really all I meant is Trump just doesn’t seem to know what he is saying many times. He seems to have the understanding of politics of a 12 year old boy. So, you are right too. He just spouts off with no idea that workers party means a lot more than what he may be thinking…but then you never really know and he will change all that up once he gets some static about it all.

Obama will, of necessity, be taking the nuclear “football” with him to Hiroshima. It wouldn’t do for any President of the United States to apologize for a nuclear attack while he is prepared and willing, as a matter of policy, to launch another, and incomparably worse, one right on the spot.
