Trump Team “Frustrated” That He Didn’t Benefit Politically From the Orlando Attack

Crass is an understatement

There’s a telling — and rather sickening — detail in this Bloomberg article on Trump’s advisers trying to figure out a strategy to overcome Trump’s negative polling; apparently his team was upset and frustrated that he didn’t get a bump in the polls following the mass murder attack in Orlando.

The frustration among Trump’s allies increased after his speech last week in Manchester, N.H., where he responded to the mass shooting at an Orlando nightclub. Many in Trump’s inner circle had predicted that he would get a bump in the polls, as he did following the terror attacks in Paris and San Bernardino, Calif. Instead, he faced a well-orchestrated rapid-response machine from the Clinton campaign and the Democratic Party, which hammered him for days.

Serves him right for his disgusting post on Twitter following Orlando where he was thankful for the congrats. People fucking died you asshole and the first think you thought about was how you deserved a pat on the back. The GOP deserves Trump and I hope the party gets wiped out at the polls and goes down with this scum bag.

Bump in the polls? Nauseous idea.

Well I was upset at myself. I have proof I’m a little too caught up in the election. How can I tell? For a split second I had mixed feelings about the Trump assassination attempt. Whoa, don’t ever really want to see violence. I hope I never ever again feel even a split second of wishful thinking for something so awful as a political killing.

I have to admit that I have a bit of concern now that Trump has replaced his campaign chair. IF he has somebody competent, IF he takes the advice and guidance of the GOP Powers That Be, IF he can remain disciplined, on a message and not go off the cuff, he might turn into a formidable candidate.

Of course, I know that won’t happen. Of course the TrumpFaithful will claim that he’s being muzzled by the GOP, just like Palin was.

In the end, I’m confident that Trump will be Trump, and that is the best possible outcome we could hope for.

As Saturn’s northern hemisphere summer approaches, the shadows of the rings creep ever southward across the planet. Here, the ring shadows appear to obscure almost the entire southern hemisphere, while the planet’s north pole and its six-sided jet stream, known as “the hexagon,” are fully illuminated by the sun.

When our Cassini spacecraft arrived at Saturn 12 years ago, the shadows of the rings lay far to the north on the planet. As the mission progressed and seasons turned on the slow-orbiting giant, equinox arrived and the shadows of the rings became a thin line at the equator.

The image was taken in red light with the Cassini spacecraft wide-angle camera on March 19, 2016. The view was obtained at a distance of approximately 1.7 million miles (2.7 million kilometers) from Saturn.

I am loving Murphy. It’s nice to see a Democrat stand up to the gun lobby so boldly and loudly.

Pretty much party lines along with Dems like Manchin.

Further evidence that Trump only cares about people, dead or alive, as long as they are useful to furthering his goals.

All four gun control measures failed in the Senate. The GOP owns this shit, they wouldn’t even pass their own watered down versions of expanded background checks and the terror watchlist sales ban.

Sadly, I think they only way we get gun control is if a member of Congress is killed (because Giffords just being shot wasn’t enough), or if the President or Vice President are shot.

I mean, that’s basically what it took to get the Brady Bill (a decade late).

Twenty-six kids didn’t do it. Which makes sense, the GOP only cares about kids in the womb.

I’m not necessarily convinced anything will actually get it through currently. I think that’s probably where I should leave it because I am having a shitty Monday.

That should be member of Congress (R), President (R) or Vice-President (R).

Even that just raises the chance from zero to non-zero.

I don’t even know why this surprises me.

Probably because it’s so obviously goes against public opinion and the measures up for vote today were the most milquetoast, non-controvresial obviously reasonable measures conceivable. Still, I shouldn’t have expected anything other than the GOP refusing to pass any of them, because that’s just how toxic they’ve become.

I suspect that part of the reason for the Democratic filibuster was simply to get the bills before the Senate and force a vote, even though they expected to lose.

However, it now gives the Democrats ammunition (if you want to call it that) against Republicans in unsafe seats: “So you support convicted domestic abusers rights to hold a gun?”

No. My words. In my world they may as just as well of said it because they equated dead shot murdered people to an opportunity to enhance the hate they embrace. If you recall Trump was patting himself on the back before the bodies were even identified. He’s a blood sucking sociopathic pathological low life. Trash with cash. I use sarcasm to make my point. And now we hear someone was attempting an assault on Donald’s life. Wrong in so many ways.

First of all, even though you might loath him into infinity, he does not warrant a bullet. He has the constitutional right to be a candidate for President and there’s no way you can deny him that. Anyone born in the USA can have a go at the Presidency. An assault on his life is counter productive since it will play into the cards of the GOP

Second, it’s wáy more fun to see him alive. Watching himself kill off his own chances due to his loud mouth, and dragging down the GOP with, it is so satisfying, it’s awesome!
