Confirmed: Trump’s Antisemitic Attack on Hillary Clinton Originated With White Supremacists

Not surprising
Politics • Views: 62,065

Today Mic’s Anthony Smith reports that he discovered the antisemitic “Star of David” meme tweeted yesterday by Donald Trump at… wait for it… a section of the 8chan message board frequented by “alt-right” neo-Nazis and white supremacists, posted on June 22.

The thread in which the graphic was posted no longer exists, but it’s available at archive.is. Here’s a screenshot:

Notice the filename of the image: hILLhISTORY.jpg, with the two h’s in lower case. This is a variant on the common neo-Nazi trope of using two h’s as code for “Heil Hitler.”

The graphic appears even earlier on Twitter, posted June 15 by the person who apparently created it (his Twitter account name is on the lower left of the image):

This Twitter account has now been deleted, so here’s a screenshot of the tweet (it’s still cached at Internet Archive):

That user’s timeline on Twitter is packed with all kinds of racist and right wing extremist memes, of course. This is one of those wingnut weirdos who seems to spend all day every day doing nothing but posting hatred on Twitter.

Several members of the LGF community speculated that the image probably originated with Trump’s white supremacist base; now we know that to be true. And we also know that either Trump or someone on his staff is deliberately browsing these sewers, looking for things that will appeal to Trump voters. Again we must point out: this is far from the first time Trump or someone on his staff has used memes from the alt-right fever swamp.

And interestingly, the image posted by Donald Trump seems to have the creator’s Twitter name erased or cropped out— perhaps to hide its origin.

UPDATE at 7/3/16 11:56:50 am by Charles Johnson

One of CNN’s resident Trump apologists, Jeffrey Lord, is trying to say the meme contained a sheriff’s star, not a Star of David. Lord isn’t the only one; lots of Trump supporters are using this excuse. But while you may be able to find some law enforcement badges that look slightly similar to a Star of David, by far the most common type of sheriff’s badge looks like this: five points, with small globes on the tips of the points.

Keith Olbermann responded to Lord’s tweet on this a little while ago:

But if this was really just an innocent coincidence, why did Trump delete his original tweet and re-post it with the star replaced by a circle?

UPDATE at 7/3/16 1:57:04 pm by Charles Johnson

The racist Twitter account @FishBoneHead1, where the antisemitic graphic originated, has now been deleted.

I am going to fess up: I honestly did not think that there was intent on the part of the creator of that image.

Despite everything we have seen in the last year, I STILL did not want to believe what everyone was saying this time yesterday.

I am seriously not at all a “half glass full” type, but deep inside I obviously did not want to think the GOP nominee would go there.

I was very wrong and I am very sick about direction this country is heading.

I’ve recently been thinking about the media landscape and how we get our news. More and more I find myself coming here first to figure out what’s going on since so many media channels have issues, some more than others, and we as a community weave through the BS and find the real information and the truth.

This anti Semitic tweet is another case in point.

The_Donald was in overdrive yesterday in their attempt to spin this as “just another star not the Star of David.”

Someone used the flag of Chicago as proof the stars looked similar. But I noticed they didn’t hotlink to the actual flag, someone drew it in mspaint. I wondered why they linked to a badly drawn image instead of the actual flag, then I compared them and noticed that mspaint drawing manipulated the stars to look like what Trump posted rather than what the flag really looks like

Here is the photoshop from the Trump fanatics:

Image: Gh7RrD0.png

And here is the real flag of Chicago from Wikipedia

Image: 255px-Flag_of_Chicago%2C_Illinois.svg.png

They really are this sad, they will do and say anything, lie, play ignorant or naive, what ever it takes to support their messiah and deflect any and all criticism. They are mentally ill.

You could do that in MS Paint. Could. But no one would.

It would be too time consuming and you would have no control over the whole layout like you get in Photoshop or maybe another high-end image program with layers.

But you can make a nice 6 pointed red star in Paint.

‘…In a perfect world, a bold and effective party chairman with an eye to November and the future brand of the Republican Party would tell Donald Trump he’s had every chance under the Sun to improve and become more disciplined. A bold chairman would draw a bright line at his continued, deliberate, mindful flirtation with the darkest corners of the Internet. Private pressure does nothing; Trump is a creature of the media cycle and of celebrity.

Now, your digital team can tell you a quick way to stop this without too much fuss; have Trump block the neo-Nazis, anti-Semites, overt racists and other scum who litter his timeline.

You won’t, for fear of offending him. He won’t, for fear of offending his base. Under his “Taco Salad! I love the Jews! Look at my African-American!” bluster, he’s a crafty bastard who understands white resentment politics. They’re a feature, not a bug. They’re not part of his play; they’re his only play.’

Did anyone watch CNN SOTU today? I didn’t. Just wondering why in hell they would think Andre Bauer’s opinion on the presidential race anything was worthy of air time.

You remember Andre—the guy who used to be SC LG, ran for Gov. (lost in primary); ran for US House (lost in primary) and famously said:

My grandmother was not a highly educated woman, but she told me as a small child to quit feeding stray animals. You know why? Because they breed. You’re facilitating the problem if you give an animal or a person ample food supply. They will reproduce, especially ones that don’t think too much further than that. And so what you’ve got to do is you’ve got to curtail that type of behavior. They don’t know any better.

Nyet  Jul 3, 2016 • 12:42:15pm

Trump’s Nazi fans at Daily Stormer don’t buy the sheriff’s star defense:

Hero Trump has made history yet again by tweeting a meme of Hillary Clinton featuring her image with a Star of David over top hundred dollar bills. Inside the Jew star it reads “Most corrupt candidate ever!”

It is indeed true that she is the most corrupt candidate ever, and it is also indeed true that the overwhelming majority of her corruption money comes from Jew sources.

This is, yet again, dog-whistling by The Leader. It comes just after he made some offensive comments about Israel being our friend - he says this for the evangelicals, then he signals to us - his real supporters - that we need not worry, he is just shilling a bit to get into power at which point he will shut down the entire Jew agenda.

The Yid media is flipping out.

But it doesn’t matter. Because the evangelicals will listen to his pro-Israel statements, while we will listen to his signals. Everybody wins. They can even report on me saying this is a dog-whistle - it doesn’t matter.

Also, by pushing this into the media, the Jews bring to the public the fact that yes, the majority of Hilary’s donors are filthy Jew terrorists.

For a lot of Americans, what they see on TV and the movies replaces actual fact and even memories. This blurring between fiction and reality seriously warps their worldview and perspective of reality.

So, the people from Cincinnati eventually showed up yesterday and were blowing up shit until well after midnight (as they are wont to do, fuck any of who actually live here in the Backwoods for the peace and quiet).
It started raining this morning and the forecast indicates that the rain does not stop for the foreseeable future.

I love it when Mother Nature steps in and tells the assholes to STFU.

If Sanders wanted to change the Democratic party, he would have conceded a long time ago and helped Hillary with her election campaign. Like Hillary did when she conceded in 2008 even though the delegate difference was much smaller. But it looks like he wants to sabotage the Democratic party and use threats to get what he wants while continuing to take donations from his rabid supporters. He knows he is ready for retirement and looks to me like this is his last grasp of power and if that fails, to build up a big retirement nest egg.

Of course not, but ironically, I think that’s why law enforcement went with six-pointed badges in the early 20th century, so they could get more info on them than the old five-pointed ones. Nowadays, every department around here has gone with seven-pointed badges, specifically so they don’t look like the Star of David.

Does anybody really believe that Bill Clinton and the U.S.A.G. talked only about “grandkids” and golf for 37 minutes in plane on tarmac?

is anybody stupid enough to believe that bill clinton would arrange a secret meeting to corrupt the legal process in broad daylight and in such a way that it would be broadcast around the world?

you think bill clinton couldnt manage to arrange a secret meeting far from news cameras if he really wanted to?

the illogic of this accusation boggles my mind

Nah. He’s just another unemployed wingnut, that list seems to be growing a lot lately.

On that note (God help me)…delicate flower Dreher just can’t seem to keep those transgendered women out of that manly man bastion of American virtue, the Marine Corps….

So he prints several reeeeeeeeeeealy long letters from some aggrieved Colonel Nathan Jesup types who want us all to know that we need to shut the fuck up and keep the trannies, women and faggots out of their beloved Corps:

But It goes beyond that merely physical argument, and into the meat of the issue of transgenders, homosexuals and women into the heretofore exclusively masculine world of combat. It strikes at thousands of years of culture, across societies all over the world. War, real war, is a supremely physical endeavor, but our recent Western obsession with feminizing men and masculinizing women has completely ignored this basic fact of biology. However, combat is not just physical, but mental. Men are, by and large, hardwired to be violent under certain circumstances and cultural taboos. I challenge any anthropologist to find any tribal society, now or ever, anywhere in the world, where the men were gatherers and the women hunters, or where the women were warriors while men raised children. It flies in the face of human development to claim women can be trained to hunt and kill other humans like men can. And there, in places where the bureaucrats don’t like to go, is where the heart of war lies. It’s getting blood on your hands.

However, the problem that all these meddlers in human nature fail to get is the deep, mystical psychology of combat. Real men should be ashamed that we are sending their daughters, wives, and mothers into harm’s way, to be exposed to that brutality, or as Shakespeare said, “to hold their manhoods cheap” while they allow women to do what men should do-protect women and children from harm. I don’t hate women. In fact, I love them so much that I was willing to kill and die for them. I dated a girl once who’s mother asked me over a dinner why I was dead set against women in combat. I looked her straight in the eye and said “I was expendable. Your daughter is not.”

Killing people isn’t just fun…It’s mystical!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dreher, not be outdone, reminds up that he isn’t some limp wristed little editor for the American Conservative!

No sirree!!

[NFR: I’m not a “gun person” (though I do own guns), but as a Southerner, I know for sure that people here will put up with just about any abuse of the Constitution … except that one. If Southerners (and Westerners?) took the First Amendment as seriously as they took the Second Amendment, we would probably be in a different and better place in this country today. That said, I suspect the day is coming, and coming fast, when I am grateful to the Second Amendment to protect what remains of the First. — RD]

Choose the right vagina to fall out of.

Choose your parents carefully.

Seriously, I am a lazy guy. But I lucked out in the intelligence sweepstakes. Mom was really smart. Dad was even smarter. The dumbest of the 6 of us is merely gifted (but in that company, she feels stupid). I lucked out on career choice, because I never chose a career. Instead, I took a series of jobs that only in retrospect have been a career.

I say this because I’m pretty sure that my intelligence is largely Nature. If I were this lazy, and average intelligence? I’d be doing a LOT worse.

And of course, I lucked out in when I was born and what gender I am, and what color I am, and even where in the US I was born. Sure, I have accomplishments to be proud of, but mostly I’ve been fortunate. Others work WAY harder and don’t get the chances I’ve had.

So, when someone born a white male in America starts giving advice on how not to be poor… I gotta shake my head and wonder where they’d be if they’d been born poor and black and female.

I’ll be honest, lizards.

This election cycle has demonstrated that something is fundamentally and possibly irretrievably broken in America and our politics. When overt neo-Nazi propaganda memes are being distributed by a GOP presidential candidate (in addition to his other monumental deficiencies), I think we have to accept that an unthinkable barrier has been crossed.

What is even more astonishing is that the press and public are so inured to Trump’s daily outrages that this is already being lost in the campaign “noise”.

A goddamned GOP candidate for POTUS is spreading FUCKING NAZI PROPAGANDA FROM A KNOW NAZI …and everybody shrugs?

WHERE ARE THE FUCKING DEMONSTRATIONS?
WHERE ARE THE OUTRAGED NEWS PEOPLE DEMANDING HIS HEAD ON A FUCKING PLATTER?
WHERE ARE PAUL RYAN OR MITCH MCCONNEL AND WHY ARE THEY NOT DEMANDING HIS FUCKING RESIGNATION?

My belief is this, in times of great change, one part of the nation embraces that change. The part that supported the Civil Rights movement, women’s liberation, etc but another part of it reacts just as loudly against it. That in part is why we had the rise of the New Right in the 1980’s. What we’re having here is a new new-right.

What the hell happened to America?

This is the end result of the 1971 Powell Memorandum which unleashed Ayn Rand’s philosophy on every facet of American society.

Just found this a few minutes ago.

The image below posted was posted yesterday by Donald Trump. You’ve heard about it by now.

But Trump didn’t create it.

Someone from Trump’s team found it on 4chan’s /pol board. I know, you don’t know what that is, but run down to your digital department and ask one of the younger guys. They’ll brief you. It’s an online slum of trolling, racism, Nazi-cosplay and other things that definitely aren’t Wisconsin Nice. Their waifu are not like yours.

Done? All briefed? Good.

The candidate for whom you have sold your political soul posted this sloppy dog-whistle to his personal account. His famous, 8-million follower account. The account you’ve retweeted or favorited dozens of times. Your RTs and favs appear alongside the dog’s breakfast of assorted Trump cultists like “WhiteNationalismTM” and a disproportionate number of people with “1488” in their names or profiles. (Look it up. I’m not going to do all your work for you.)

This was the biggest Pride march I’ve ever seen in Scotland. It was even bigger than last year’s Pride in Glasgow, which was the previous high watermark in Scotland. A few of us afterwards were wondering if it was recent political events that caused such a turnout. We’ll see if that’s the case when it’s Glasgow’s turn (20 Aug). Anyway, here’s the photos, enjoy:

They’re also the same individuals who will vote for pols who have gotten women pregnant in the past and have paid for them to have abortions, who have left their kids on Father’s Day to go to South America to be with their lover, and who have been married multiple times with some of those marriages being the result of cheating on the spouse to whom they were married at the time. None of this matters to them as they portray themselves as the “Party of God,” and the “Party of Family Values.” They know they’re hypocrites who will put their religious beliefs on the back-burner to win elections, hoping they’ll have the opportunity to impose their beliefs on the rest of us.

They know what Bristol is because some of them do the same things she does. The “I’m a virgin” thing is a front. I saw so many girls who came from “conservative” families get pregnant and have abortions while I was teaching in a small town in GA. I also learned that they were having as much sex as kids from families who didn’t walk around talking about how “chaste” they were.
