Yes; he’s going to be behind, so he’ll need the coverage. Also as long as he doesn’t talk about his penis or literally drop his pants, the pundits will praise his presidential demeanor and declare him the “winner.”

Feeling a connection with him right now when he said he was the first in his family to get a four-year college degree.

That was me, too. I was the first…and the only one in my generation. But I have a niece and nephew who did the same thing and now have a granddaughter who was just awarded a full-ride four-year scholarship (she’s going to be a nurse).

The pundits will declare him the winner. The bar Trump has to meet is set at “not dropping his pants to show everyone his massive erection.” If he clears that bar, the pundits will talk about how presidential he was, and state he won the debate.

In my family, getting even a high school diploma was an accomplishment (only 3 of us 6 kids managed that).
Getting my master’s degree and getting so close to a doctorate was just icing for me after getting the BA.

My mom was the first one on her side of the family to get a degree, in 1968. I was the fourth on her side, after my two older cousins. On my dad’s side, my one older cousin was the first, and I was the second. My dad didn’t finish, dropping out after the tenth, and instead going to army boot camp when he was 17; he graduated boot camp on his 18th birthday.

As I mentioned above, it took me two tries to get through college. Coming from a very low middle class family, with no family college experience, the college I went to was a shock. I didn’t really know how to handle the stress of college, even though I could handle the academics (I graduated 4th in my class out of 455). That’s one thing I really like about Simpson College, the school my oldest son is going to. They have set up a number of things to help kids get transitioned to college, and help them along the way.

There’s still dead enders who will kick and scream and back the knuckle dragging troglodyte in Trump. They’re currently complaining about how Katy Perry lip synched.

Right. Trump’s busy throwing gasoline on the Constitution and the GOP, but Perry’s singing is the offensive thing here?

Feeling a connection with him right now when he said he was the first in his family to get a four-year college degree.

That was me, too. I was the first…and the only one in my generation. But I have a niece and nephew who did the same thing and now have a granddaughter who was just awarded a full-ride four-year scholarship (she’s going to be a nurse).

I was the first too. Fourth son in a four boy family…and a very late arrival. And my father had just retired the same year I graduated high school. I worked mu butt off in college and doing freelance design work to help pay for all the materials I needed to go to art college which actually was as expensive as the tuition.
