Trump Can’t Stop: Implies Khizr Khan Wants Terrorists to Enter the US

Unreal
Politics • Views: 41,079

He just can’t let it go. Donald Trump was so triggered by Khizr Khan’s criticisms that he’s still ranting about it, getting worse with each new interview. And today he actually implied Khan wants terrorists to enter the US.

Yes, he’s calling a gold star father a terrorist sympathizer.

“Well, I was very viciously attacked, as you know, on the stage,” Trump told Columbus’s ABC affiliate ABC6, when asked about Khan’s DNC speech. “And I was surprised to see it. And so all I did — I have great honor and great feeling for his son, Mr. Khan’s son. But, and as far as I’m concerned, he’s a hero.”

When the interviewer brought up Trump’s position on border security, Trump said, “It’s a very big subject for me. And border security’s very big. And when you have radical Islamic terrorists probably all over the place, we’re allowing them to come in by the thousands and thousands. And I think that’s what bothered Mr. Khan more than anything else.

We’re “allowing radical Islamic terrorists to come in by the thousands and thousands?” What the hell is this guy on?

I guess someone decided to start vetting Jill Stein

“We should not be exposing, especially, kids’ brains to that,” Stein said. “You know, we don’t follow that issue in this country, but in Europe where they do, they have good precautions around wireless. Maybe not good enough, because it’s very hard to study this stuff. We make guinea pigs out of whole populations and then we discover how many die.”

There is no evidence that wireless signals are harmful to adults or children. The World Health Organization (WHO) said in May of 2006 that electromagnetic fields like wireless signals pose no risk to human health.

Wow, I’ve yet to change channels and still have MSNBC on as I work.

Chris Hayes is making many a republican look real bad. He is asking each and every one of his interviews why they constantly bemoan Trumps comments but still say they back him as the candidate. He is making them dance…and dance…and dance some more.

I give Congressman Charlie Dent credit he did some dancing himself but he said something many here have said (paraphrasing): The party needs to come to the realization that Trump has changed our base and National Review and others are not helping.

Again that is a paraphrase, I am busy working on an illustration and didn’t pay close attention, but that was the gist of his comment. He actually realizes Trump is riding on the back on the nutty base and the GOP better come to grips with it all.

The scary aspect of this is who comes AFTER Trump? I mean, the way Trump is going he’s not going to make it to the actual election before Republicans stage a coup against him and install an emergency backup plan- Rubio maybe. Ted Cruz is done.

Trump embrassed him to the point IMO his political future is in serious doubt. For the large GOP crowd that appreciates pure naked aggressive male-chest beating, Trump laid a knockout on Cruz, ruining his manhood in front of this highly paternalistic voting bloc. Look for the dead-enders to double-down once again, as is their MO, and nominate a true out and out White Nationalist to the ticket. No more footies with racists, they will make sure they have the real thing at the top of the ticket.

The numbers of aggrieved white voters grow smaller by the year, and you can bet the GOP will put (ironically) superdelegate-like rules into place from preventing another plurality-demagogue from (in their eyes) hijacking their party.

Trump ‘16 would have a pretty shitty chance of taking the 2028 GOP nomination. That’s the positive view, albeit the reason he’s a problem in the first place: those who back him really do see him as their last chance, and they’re sort of right.

And if the right can’t figure out that Trump’s response ot the Khans plays a part in the coverage. Plus wingnuts are so shocked by the fact that Muslim-Americans do in fact serve in our armed forces. I feel bad for Ms. Smith, I really really really do but it juts rings hollow for me for her to go after Clinton while ignorign that she’s supporting the party that cut embassy security funding. She’s free to be angry at Clinton if she wants to but that she has none at all at the GOP I think is telling.

So, now the claim is Hillary took money from Lafarge, an international construction conglomerate that later funded IS?

Seriously? This is what the right wing is going to go with now?

When Trump’s construction projects are littered with mafia connections that are well documented (including admissions from Trump that he worked with the mafia especially in the concrete business), you’re going to go off and running with some nonsense about IS and Lafarge?

Seriously?

Because Trump bought mobbed up concrete to build his Trump Tower. And he got NJ to speed up his casino application vetting process, so they could skip over those mob ties.

But Trump was not clean as a whistle. Beginning three years earlier, he’d hired mobbed-up firms to erect Trump Tower and his Trump Plaza apartment building in Manhattan, including buying ostensibly overpriced concrete from a company controlled by mafia chieftains Anthony “Fat Tony” Salerno and Paul Castellano. That story eventually came out in a federal investigation, which also concluded that in a construction industry saturated with mob influence, the Trump Plaza apartment building most likely benefited from connections to racketeering. Trump also failed to disclose that he was under investigation by a grand jury directed by the U.S. attorney in Brooklyn, who wanted to learn how Trump obtained an option to buy the Penn Central railroad yards on the West Side of Manhattan.

Why did Trump get his casino license anyway? Why didn’t investigators look any harder? And how deep did his connections to criminals really go?
These questions ate at me as I wrote about Atlantic City for The Philadelphia Inquirer, and then went more deeply into the issues in a book, Temples of Chance: How America Inc. Bought Out Murder Inc. to Win Control of the Casino Business. In all, I’ve covered Donald Trump off and on for 27 years, and in that time I’ve encountered multiple threads linking Trump to organized crime. Some of Trump’s unsavory connections have been followed by investigators and substantiated in court; some haven’t. And some of those links have continued until recent years, though when confronted with evidence of such associations, Trump has often claimed a faulty memory. In an April 27 phone call to respond to my questions for this story, Trump told me he did not recall many of the events recounted in this article and they “were a long time ago.” He also said that I had “sometimes been fair, sometimes not” in writing about him, adding “if I don’t like what you write, I’ll sue you.”

As I’ve said, my grandfather thankfully was able to go to trade school due to his GI Bill. I was able to know him quite well. Unfortunately, my mom never knew his father or his father in law. The mines end lives way too short. We should be retraining miners for the modern era. It’s better for the environoment but also for their families. Win-win as far I’m concerned.

Oops..forgot I had a tab open on a story about piggy Roger Ailes from New York Magazine that I was going to post/link. It is a disgusting article if it all comes to be true. A woman who worked as a Fox booking agent is saying she was more or less sexually tortured and had stuff used against her to stop her from ever telling her story.

New York Magazine - Former Fox News Booker Says She Was Sexually Harassed and ‘Psychologically Tortured’ by Roger Ailes for More Than 20 Years

The first paragraph lays out the allegations…it is a long sordid tale too big to copy here.

The morning after Fox News chief Roger Ailes resigned, the cable network’s former director of booking placed a call to the New York law firm hired by 21st Century Fox to investigate sexual-harassment allegations against Ailes. Laurie Luhn told the lawyers at Paul, Weiss that she had been harassed by Ailes for more than 20 years, that executives at Fox News had known about it and helped cover it up, and that it had ruined her life. “It was psychological torture,” she later told me.

By the way…Rachel is on and saying she is thinking Trump is going to lay the groundwork to back out of debating Hillary. The NFL game interference is the first indication. She says he doesn’t like to be in something he can’t control and might make him look bad. Mr. Thin Skin again.

MsJ/JustJay might find that very interesting!

1) Fox News hosts all three debates.

3) Each candidate will appear alone for one hour.

4) Hillary will always go first. She will have to appear in person.

6 Trump will be asked no questions and will spend his hour attacking Hillary. Moderators will be allowed to suggest additional things to attack Hillary over if Trump leaves them out.

Next sign will have a swastika. But not really a swastika. A Hindu good luck symbol. Wait. It’s an American Indian symbol. Lakota? Sioux? Definitely NOT Muslim. Just a symbol. Since when did symbols hurt people. Like that stink about the stars and bars. That flag never hurt no one. Just heritage. History. I was pissed when the KKK hijacked it. Yeah.

re: #172 Great White Snark

That’s not an extreme decision or regarded as an extreme court.

From the article you linked:

If the simulation is accurate, the median justice during Trump’s or Clinton’s presidency could become one of the most extreme in almost a century. Some historical context: By the Martin-Quinn measure, one of the most liberal median justices of the last century was Thurgood Marshall, a champion for civil rights who argued that the death penalty was unconstitutional in all cases. One of the most conservative median justices was Byron White, who, despite being appointed by President Kennedy, dissented in the court’s liberal decisions in Roe v. Wade and Miranda v. Arizona.

Offered without comment because I recognize when what I have to say would not add to the conversation.

Would a moderate court be willing to stand up to police and prosecutors to make the 4th Amendment viable again? Would a moderate court fix the damage done by Citizens United? Or to the Voting RIghts Act? Sorry sir, but we as a nation have been so gutted by the far right court since Reagan that what passes for “moderate” anymore remains too conservative by any sane standards.

In regard to firing Brookover, it doesn’t make sense to me because I recall Trump giving the impression that he was planning the best GOP convention in the party’s history. Since this was supposed to be the case, his firing Brookover appears to me that he blames him for his convention not yielding the result he expected—-a significant lead over HRC.

GOP Senators display sudden voluntary invertebrate status

Trump campaign asks Capitol Hill to back him in Khan controversy

The appeal did not generate any help for Trump. A senior Senate Republican aide, who asked not to be identified, said Republican senators were pleased with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s statement on Sunday calling Captain Khan “an American hero” and noting “a travel ban on all members of a religion is simply contrary to American values.”

At the same time, the aide said the controversy would probably not cause Republican senators to withdraw their endorsements of Trump.

“Our media is so awesome!”

Mark Halperin is a genuine hack. If Trump gave the wrong answer in an interview and Halperin knew it, he’d write up Trump’s incorrect answer in his article in a way that would indicate that even if Trump was wrong, he was still right. I wish I’d had a job like his when I was working. I could have then earned six figures, been wrong all of the time and still would have been viewed as a reliable/credible journalist and pundit.

If everybody doesn’t praise everything he does/says, he has issues with them and throws a tantrum. I have little grandnephews and nieces who are under five years of age, and not one of them behaves the way this grown thumb-sucker does. He can criticize others, but he doesn’t take criticism from others well at all. If this is what his supporters are looking for in a president, I think they’re just as immature in their thinking and view of the world as he is. His being rich doesn’t mean he’s always right and is immune from others pointing out his constant lying and other character flaws.

Ziggy_TARDIS  Aug 1, 2016 • 7:15:27pm

Watching this video, a thought occurred to me.

Titanic sinks in REAL TIME - 2 HOURS 40 MINUTES

For 16 minutes after the sinking, the Titanic continued at half speed.

So, the Titanic, while mortally wounded, mangaged to take 2 hours, 40 minutes to sink.

From information on the Olympic-Class, which the Titanic was a part of, we know the full speed of the Titanic was about 21 knots with a top speed, of 24 knots. The Carpathia, by pouring almost all steam power to the engines, was able of achieving 17.5 knots.

If Andrews hadn’t underestimated the survival time of the Titanic by 62.5%, couldn’t the Titanic have managed to try to attempt some sort of Meeting in the Middle? Separated by 58 miles (ish), you can convert the 21 knots to 24 mph, and the 17.5 knots to 20 mph.

In a single hour, the two ships could have closed 44 miles roughly, and relatively shortly there after they would have met. Carpathia received the message from the Titanic at 12:11.

Just wondering if the Titanic’s crew had been more imaginative, could they have saved more lives. The ship was certainly sinking slow enough that I think it could have been plausible.
