Video: Donald Trump Throws a Baby Out of His Rally: “Get the Baby Out of Here”

While the crowd applauds
Politics • Views: 37,011

YouTube

Today in Ashburn, Virginia, Donald Trump heard a baby crying in the audience and said, “Don’t worry about that baby. I love babies. Don’t worry about it. I love babies. I hear that baby crying, I like it. What a baby. What a beautiful baby. Don’t worry, don’t worry. The mom’s running around like—don’t worry about it, you know. It’s young and beautiful and healthy and that’s what we want.”

Sounds good, right? No problem! He loves babies! He likes hearing them cry! What a beautiful baby!

Except, then the baby started crying again and Trump’s tone changed drastically. “Actually, I was only kidding, you can get the baby out of here. I think she really believed me that I love having a baby crying while I’m speaking,” he said as the audience laughed and applauded.

So Donald Trump started his Tuesday by shaming a mother and throwing a baby out of his rally.

But can you blame him? Babies seem to sense something horribly wrong while in his presence.

Tim Kaine got off a pretty good one-liner in response:

THIS might be the thing.

Actually, I think each time Trump does an oopsie (daily) some new slice of electorate wakes up to his vileness.

Adviser: Mr. Trump, you’re killing it with the white supremacist demographic, but you know what’d really nail it for you?
Trump: What?
Adviser: Shooting someone on 5th Avenue.
Trump: Yes, and I thought of that myself. Let’s do it. It’ll be yuge!

Fla. woman shoots self while posing with gun for Snapchat

A Florida woman was taken to the hospital with injuries to her hand after deputies said she shot herself while posing with a gun and taking photos for Snapchat.

Regina Powell, 22, was in her Deltona-area garage on taking pictures for Snapchat on Sunday evening when she decided to include her uncle’s .40-caliber pistol, WKMG reports. She pulled the trigger and shot her cellphone, which was in her right hand, and suffered lacerations on her thumb and index fingers due to the phone shattering.

Leroux, who retired from the Army and his position at UVa in 2012, said he has maintained a friendship with the Khans. He said he knew as of five months ago that the campaign for Hillary Clinton was working with the Khan family to tell the story of their Muslim-American war hero son.

Leroux, who said the elder Khan is “by far the most patriotic guy” he’s ever met, was somewhat surprised to learn that Khan would speak at the convention.

Noting his generally reserved demeanor and typically nonpartisan attitude, Leroux said he didn’t think Khan was “looking for a fight” with Trump.

“I think he displayed heroic tenacity,” Leroux said. “His willingness to do that is extraordinarily courageous, especially for a private guy.”

Since making his speech and calling on Republican officials to repudiate Trump’s behavior and his calls to temporarily ban all Muslim immigration into the country, Khan and his wife have been the targets of partisan attacks and allegations that they have nefarious intentions to derail democracy.

“I never had the idea that he was a big Democrat or Republican,” Leroux said. “He struck me as a nonpartisan guy. He’d talk to cadets about the importance of voting, but would never suggest how they should vote.”

He lacks empathy.
He’s a reality personality whose signature line is firing people. Not hiring them.

All he projects is anger/fear/ignorance. Those who are also angry, fearful, or ignorant love his nonsense.

Everyone else abhors this, but if those folks are Republicans, they can’t come out and call Trump out, because they need the votes in November.

I actually kind of like Johnson, but am not fond of the LP. I’m not sure I can conceivable believe Gary Johnson as President of the United States, but I think he’s as qualified as most we’ve elected to the office in the last 100 years. I actually kind of like Johnson, but am not fond of the LP. I’m not sure I can conceivable believe Gary Johnson as President of the United States, but I think he’s as qualified as most we’ve elected to the office in the last 100 years. The LP, on the other hand, has too many true believers that miss the forest for the trees.

Well I go off of what WW has said about his time governing and I just don’t take him seriously after he endorsed Baldwin. But yeah the LP has a lot of nuts. You’ve talked about being something a former Libertarian or at least sympathetic in the past to their goals, I know a good amount of Libertarian sympathizers too due to some of my friends and college classmates and it’s just interesting to see the diversity of approaches within them. I don’t think too highly of the LP either but I don’t see them as merely GOPers who like weed.

It doesn’t show here it’s a Trump retweet but it showed up in Trumps timeline as a retweet.

Here is an article from The Columbus Dispatch. BeachDem can back me on this. The Columbus Dispatch is as Republican Conservative a publication as you can get. I can’t even remember the last time they endorsed a Democratic presidential candidate.

And it is just as I thought…Trump’s people set the fucking numbers.

And there is other bullshit in this article too.

I suggest Donald keep this attack up. Piss off the Dispatch and maybe I will see an endorsement for a Democratic presidential candidate. You do not want to mess with the Ohio capitol city Republican machine or you can kiss this state goodbye.

I would also say, I doubt the Columbus Convention Center is operated by a majority of Democrats that would pull any kind of a political move. I’d wager it would possibly be more conservative than anything.

From this Democrat Columbus Citizen this is the best thing Trump could have done in this city. His people have zero feel for local politics and it is going to cost him.

But watch…in a month or two he will back and in the same building.

The Columbus Dispatch - Disputing Trump claim, convention officials say his campaign agreed to 1,000-person cap for rally

Disputing Trump claim, convention officials say his campaign agreed to 1,000-person cap for rally

By Randy Ludlow & Catherine Candisky
The Columbus Dispatch • Tuesday August 2, 2016 6:22 AM

After hundreds of people were turned away from his rally today, Donald Trump saw politics behind the decision to limit the size of his Columbus town hall to 1,000 people — and made sure the public and press knew it.

Fire and convention center officials say, however, the Republican presidential nominee’s campaign knew on Friday that the space would be restricted to 1,000 people.

“We’ve had thousands of people outside, thousands, who were turned away for political reasons, purely political reasons,” Trump told reporters before he spoke at the Greater Columbus Convention Center.

The fire marshal was “given orders — no more than a thousand people … we could have had four, five, six thousand people … that’s politics at its lowest,” said Trump, who later asked his audience, “Is the mayor a Democrat?”

Columbus Assistant Fire Chief Jim Cannell said fire officials met with Trump’s staff on Friday to inform them audience capacity was restricted due to nearby exits being blocked by construction on the north side of the building.

He shrugged off Trump’s criticism. “We don’t get caught up in that … we’re just doing our job.”

John Page, general manager of the convention center, confirmed what Cannell said and added that an earlier Trump rally was in a larger space before construction began.

“Initially, (campaign officials) suggested it would be by invitation only,” said Jennifer Davis, spokeswoman for the convention center.

The Trump campaign offered tickets online beginning Saturday to the event, with no warning about restrictions on the crowd size. Hundreds — if not a thousand — were turned away disappointed after standing in line along High Street in the heat.

Kenneth Gray, 51, of Columbus, was among those upset, along with his two daughters. Gray said he had entered the convention center only to find that the event bar code on his smartphone would not be accepted. He was told he would need to go to a nearby kiosk to obtain a paper ticket.

“I was here at 1 p.m., I was in, at the front of the line. Now, it’s closed,” said Gray, who was upset with event organizers. “Why in 2016 would you not accept a bar code?” he asked.

Trump also criticized a fire marshal in Colorado Springs, Colorado last week. The fire marshal there capped the number of people allowed in the Trump rally. Trump then said the fire marshal didn’t know what he was doing and was “probably a Democrat,” according to the Denver Post.

No, I can’t after some of Pence’s weird statements about tobacco and cancer or Mulan. I have actually literally been to a BBQ by Virginia’s other Senator funnily enough. Wanrer’s a nice guy but he’s not really an everyman like Kaine is. Warner actually comes from a fairly modest background too but Kaine is really the bigger homebody of our two senators.

Yes, and they’re right. But they’ve also been asked repeatedly, given major concessions, encouraged by their own candidate and courted as a group. Which is why 90%+ of them are now supporting Clinton and plan to vote for her.

The other difference is that the choice they face is one of promised ethnic cleansing or a woman they didn’t support in the primaries. The antipathy many conservatives feel towards Trump is rooted in much more fundamental soil.

The fucked up thing about the Swift Boat vets and I know this because I read extensively about Kerry is that many of them had actually supported him in his past Senate runs. Karl Rove is a big believer in taking whatever the strongest selling point of your opponent happens to be and then using that as a weapon against him or her.

Michelle Goldberg wrote quite a bit about the Kerry campaign in Kingdom Coming and they never had a clue what was coming for them. Part of it was that so much of the Bush campaign was being waged in churches with weekly strategy conference calls between the White House and various pastors. Kerry people said they saw no signs of Bush volunteers doing door knocking etc on the street.

No kidding. The Bush re-election effort was very much a top-down dictated affair and the evangelical voters were being given orders at Tuesday night Bible study and on Sunday mornings.

Their ideology comes from taking so much of what we’ve done the past 80 years for granted. The young ones I know as I said all hate Roosevelt and really have never listened to their grandparents memories of the Depression or if they have, their grandparents were all filthy rich. I grew up hearing my grandparents tell me about how their fathers had to fight for their unionization right as a result even though I can see why people are sympathetic to libertarianism, its views on regulations scares the hell out of me. Plus they’re naiev as fuck. Just make it private and it’s all better. It’s naive madness.

Plus there’s the Ron Paul worship. I actually share some libertarian views on some issues oto. I.E., I’m quite anti drug war but then again so is Barney Frank.

any thinking person is going to have some agreement with L’s or R’s or whomever is not your own party.

to me moderate does not mean fence sitting or wishy-washy. it means not being pigeonholed to left, right, republican, democrat, conservative, liberal, or whatever. it means not holding extreme or radical positions, generally black and white ones. it means not living on any one dimensional definition of positions that all must align.

it means not being required to hold similarly polarized positions on unrelated issues - ie say on abortion and gun control, the drug war and funding for education.

it does not mean not holding strong or convicted opinions.

it also generally means each issue on its merits and sometimes cherry picking out the good points of some very complex issues - “guns” vs sane background checks

I think it unlikely that McCain and Ryan will repudiate Trump. Their craven lust for power can easily let them overlook any number of insults from Trump.

Just like wannabe lieutenants of the worst bully in grade school, they look forward to their guy being in charge, at which time everyone else will pay.

I agree with you. At this point it would seem to be sour grapes. They had their chance at bravery and failed. Now they have to suck it up.

Okay, Jim, pick fights with fire marshals. That’s such a winning message for your candidate. Please do it. Because it makes you look even more petty and stupid than you can even realize.

Other than SMOTI and the rest of the right wing howler monkeys, is there any actual indication that the Columbus fire marshal is a Democrat? I wasn’t aware of it being a political position. Not that facts would stop their hair-burning—just curious.

Fire Marshals in the places I’ve lived tended to be very smart capable firefighters who have promoted out and to the side when they can’t meet the physical demands any longer.

I think that the DNC should arrange to have 10,000 women with babies and toddlers show up at a Trump rally…

and some of those women with babies breastfeeding…
