CA’s Riverside County GOP Tweets Picture of Executioner Captioned “I’m Ready for Hillary”

The Republican Party is dangerously insane
Politics • Views: 46,713

So today, the official Twitter account of the Riverside County Republican Party tweeted a picture of a hangman with an axe and blood-stained clothing, and the caption “I’m Ready for Hillary.”

The Riverside County Republican Party tweeted out a picture of a shrouded hangman holding a noose, with a caption below saying, “I’m Ready for Hillary.”

According to the Riverside Press-Enterprise, the tweet was sent out by the county party’s official Twitter account at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The tweet has since been removed.

Riverside County GOP Chairman Scott Mann said he was “horrified” by the tweet, and promised to take action against the person responsible.

Well, the GOP chairman now says he was horrified by the tweet. Earlier today, before it got much attention, he was singing a very different tune.

According to the Press-Enterprise, Mann’s response earlier in the day was much different. The paper reported that in an email he stated: “That meme is nothing more than political satire. It simply expresses how Ms. Clinton seemingly has gotten away with every scandal and political flip-flop in her public life — from classified email and Benghazi to her changing positions on healthcare, TPP, NAFTA, gay marriage, etc.”

The deranged person who tweeted this dangerously insane image has now lost his job.

According to a Board of Equalization employee, a local Republican official who sits on the Riverside Community College District Board of Trustees has lost his state job in connection with a tweet from the Riverside County GOP that featured a menacing hangman and the words “I’m Ready for Hillary.”

Nathan Miller offered his resignation and admitted sending the tweet, said Russell Lowery, chief deputy to Board of Equalization member Diane Harkey. Miller had worked as an advisor to Harkey for about nine months, Lowery said.

When you have a convention that pretty much calls her a murderer, this kind of shit becomes acceptable.

The GOP’s reaction in CA to losing most/all of its power (at least for statewide office) has been to get ever more rabid and extreme.

This strategy has not been working for them, so I encourage its nationwide adoption. Please proceed.

I still find it amusing to read highly accurate denunciations of Trump at RedState and from the likes of Erick Erickson that always avoid the central issue that Trump and his bloody mummers are monsters the GOP and conservative movement have created.

The guy in the picture is more than an executioner. That is a torture scaffold like the one where William Wallace was castrated, disemboweled, and partially strangled before finally being put out of his misery with the axe.

The Republicans are constantly stealing images. First they rip off one from the Cavs’ victory parade, now they lift one from our FEMA camp training file.

I know. I’ve always liked him too and in fact reminded me of my grandfather in some ways. It’s honestly sad since in the past even though he’s been known to be one of the more conservative actors, he has made some pro choice, pro LGBT, and pro environment statements. I really hope it’s senility and not his true nature.

7.62mm minigun. Among others, Cobras had these in Vietnam, with the minigun on one side of the chin turret and a 40mm automatic grenade launcher on the other. It can fire 100 rounds per second so the doofus went through a couple of hundred bucks worth of ammo for that clip. It is a good weapon, hell on people and unarmored vehicles, but not so great against hard targets. What use a politician would have for it is anybody’s guess but I’m afraid I have an idea.

Mysteries of Home Maintenance

Daughter2, up North, has been freaking about water stains on her bathroom ceiling. Inspection by a roofer found no breaches, then she remembered recent airconditioner work in the attic.

Call to A/C man. He found no problems with leaks or condensate in the attic. On a last view of the bathroom he pulled a bit of fiber that was hanging from the A/C vent. Toilet paper.

My little buddy the Civ4 player had been launching wet wads onto the popcorn ceiling to see how long they would stick. Daughter extracts firm commitment that he will never do that again. Silly girl. A bright 5 year old boy will never pull the same shit again.

I liked Dark, though he would no doubt be correcting my minigun post with various minutiae that I had regarded as unimportant, for example that 100 rounds per second is a maximum and wasn’t usually achieved in practice. At this point, he is starting to remind me of those World War II Japanese sailors who chose to drown rather than accept rescue from American ships.

Chopping down trees, obviously….

My current Chromebook has issues running Ubuntu (stuck at 12.04, can’t run VM’s due to a kernel bug, no swap just however much real memory there is, etc) but it’s not easy finding one that can just work with a decent harddrive & memory. Well, at the time, I got the Chromebook for used for $100 & it was the only model with a real hard disk which is one of my requirements. I do not do “cloud”, especially not for my music and ebooks.

Now, there’s some Dell & Lenovo’s I’ve seen for ~250 to 450. I’m tempted to get a lower spec one and then upgrade it myself as a 1tb drive bought on it’s own is cheaper than preinstalled. Just wish I could avoid the MS tax.

Lindsey Graham on CNN earlier today trying to play up the “Obama paying $400 million ransom to Iran” meme. One of the interviewers asked him about the money being paying Iran back their own money from 1979 — and Graham said no he wouldn’t pay the money back since it was the Shah’s money that was originally paid out.

That the deal was announced back in January did not get mentioned until they did a follow-up with Clinton’s press secretary who was the person to mention the January press conference, and also the fact that the Iran deal had been negotiated by SoS Kerry.

(Graham also whined about how Iran *and* Russia are simply walking all over us. No one mentioned to him that their candidate said that Russia already owned the Crimea.)

Oh! I see, woot is a web site… < facepalm >

Hmm. Couple of year old lenovo T430 on the front page, compatible with the ram from my Chromebook. Would just need a bigger disk & Thinkpads are easy to work on compared to Dells. Listed as certified on Ubuntu’s website as well. Near perfect for my needs.

Here’s hoping they have one left on the 19th’s payday.

Thanks for the pointer.

I’m hoping for a Howard Hughes end to Trump. He’ll retire to his penthouse and become a recluse for the rest of his life. The problem is, he doesn’t have Hughes’ money to do it.

I can’t believe the political ad in the previous thread is real. Things are beyond parody anymore when real ads feel like something from Kids in The Hall or Upright Citizen’s Brigade. I half-expected to hear about the virtues of Ass Pennies.

I’m floored by the money people spend on ammo. Blazing through piles of noisily exploding cash is the in thing among yahoos in the Youtube era.

I stumbled across this while searching for combat & gun footage. I don’t know if it’s the greatest thing, the worst thing, or a mix of both:

Big Sandy Night Shoot 2016

It’s like the guys at track days with expensive bikes, expensive gear, expensive support equipment… Where is all this money coming from? To the Hindenpeter!

“HOW CAN YOU AFFORD THESE THINGS?!”

Ye gads - who’s the lady on Lawrence singing the praises of Paul Ryan - one of the GOP men who is trying so hard to help the less fortunate!!

Like when he washes clean dishes for them?

One of the founders left and formed a new company, “meh”.

TBH, I preferred the old Woot. I bought things like quirky LED flashlights, screwdriver sets, and a nice refurbed Ryobi drill.

While I don’t think she deserves barbaric treatment like this, I do believe she’s one of the most evil people on the planet. And no, I don’t support Trump nor am I voting for him.
