The Stupidest Man on the Internet Pretends He Meant to Do That

Derp

After his ridiculously stupid fail earlier today in which he posted a picture of the Cleveland Cavaliers championship parade and called it a MASSIVE LINE (Hoft’s caps) to see Donald Trump in Maine, the Stupidest Man on the Internet went back and edited his post to say something completely different: WOW! Look at MASSIVE CROWD at Trump’s Town Hall Event in Portland, Maine —VIDEO

The previous title was: “WOW! Look at MASSIVE LINE to Trump’s Town Hall Event in Portland, Maine —VIDEO.” So he changed two whole words.

And of course, there’s no retraction or correction.

Here’s the original post:

And here’s what it looks like now:

WOW! Right wing journalistic ethics, in your face.

OT early, but worth it:
Read this tweet thread,
Then share it with anyone thinking it’s OK to utilize their vote as a “protest against the system”
The only thing important this election cycle is keeping that unbalance orange thug out of office

“…Clinton made strong gains with two constituencies crucial to a Republican victory - whites and men - while scoring important gains among fellow Democrats, the poll found.

Clinton not only went up, but Trump also went down. Clinton now has a 48-33 percent lead, a huge turnaround from her narrow 42-39 advantage last month…”

“…In a four-way race, Clinton retains her lead. She gets 45 percent to Trump’s 31 percent. Libertarian Gary Johnson has 10 percent, and the Green Party’s Jill Stein has 6 percent…”

Saeed Abedini? Holy crap, that guy…he’s profoundly untrustworthy as a witness to anything. His wife, Naghmeh, was his biggest cheerleader up until a few months before he got out of the Iranian prison, but then she stopped and said she could no longer do it because Saeed had abused her. It’s a twisty story, here’s something from the WaPo back in February.

washingtonpost.com

More recently, evangelical blogs Phoenix Preacher and Spiritual Sounding Board have published a couple of articles about Saeed Abedini. There are some real doubts that Saeed was tortured in the way it has been claimed. And Naghmeh, the faithful wife, may have been complicit in spreading untruths about his condition (although she says in a statement that she relied on information from her husband and his supporters).

(July) michaelnewnham.com

(August) michaelnewnham.com

It should be noted that Saeed is now one of Franklin Graham’s proteges. Graham wanted to force a family reconciliation that Naghmeh was opposed to because it didn’t include the counseling she says Saeed needs before they can resume their marriage.

The tl;dr is that Saeed Abedini is an absolutely unreliable source.

If that 15 point lead holds, according to the Cube Rule model from my college stats class that could extrapolate to a 405/133 electoral vote split. If that same ratio trickles to down ballot races that would slaughter the GOP in the Senate and give Democrats a thin majority in the House!

Don’t panic (to much) members of the Government Accountability Office

“…Last year, their application was sent not to Washington but to Texas regulators, who had been deputized by the NRC to grant licenses without federal review. When the state’s inspector visited the fake office, he saw it was empty and had no security precautions. But members of the group assured him that once they had a license, they would be able to make the security and safety improvements.

So the inspector, who always carried licenses with him, handed them one on the spot…”
